A Jewish woman doctor from New York is claiming “hate crime” after an eavesdropping Palestinian woman had her booted from her flight home from Palm Beach.
PALMBEACHPOST.com reports that New York physician Dr. Lisa Rosenberg said that, just prior to departure, she concluded a private phone conversation with a friend over the current events in Israel when the fellow passenger identified herself as a Palestinian and initiated an “ugly, racially driven altercation.”
“A woman comes up to me and says to me ‘I’m a Palestinian,’ and she starts cursing at me. ‘Zionist pig. This is just the beginning,’” Rosenberg told WPBF.com .
Rosenberg, whose daughter plans to study in Israel next year, claims she said nothing disparaging about Palestinians during her phone conversation with friend, Obstetrician Myles Kobren, but was instead complimenting Israeli authorities over the way they have handled recent arrests in connection with the murder of a Palestinian teenager.
Rosenberg said she was told by Jet Blue staff shortly thereafter that she must de-board the plane because the Palestinian passenger did not feel comfortable flying with her.
“I can’t believe it. I said, ‘Why would you do that?’ I said, ‘Why don’t you have her leave the plane?’” Rosenberg said. “I said, ‘The passenger, the Palestinian passenger, didn’t feel comfortable with me, the Jewish doctor being on the plane?’”
Reps for Jet Blue refused comment other than to say that Rosenberg’s account of the story “in no way reflects the report that we have.”
Rosenberg said she believes she is victim of a hate crime and has been in contact with the Anti-Defamation League who has promised to investigate the matter.

UN-Freaken-Believable! Is Jet Blue an arab airline? What ever happened to our rights to freedom of speech? I hope she sues and wins a windfall. The nerve! Publicize and Boycott Jet Blue!!!
I hope she sues Blue Jet in $50,000,000 and win. This isn't pre-war Germany, this is USA!
Sue the hell out of that airline and the palestinian for damage which happened missing her flight.
This is just un-fucking-believable! What kind of a world do we live in?!?!?!
Frequently fly jet blue PBI to N.j…….no more. And told them so.
There's 2 sides to every story, stop being ignorant and 1 sided. I work for an airline, and we wouldn't kick a passenger off just because someone is a particular religion.
You should sue jet blue at least 75 million dollars for this disgusting thing what they did
Every Jew in the world ought to boycott Jet Blue. If there was a real problem, both should have been asked to leave the plane. I feel "Uncomfortable" when I am in Jerusalem and Palestinians are firing rockets at me. Can I ask them to leave?
Thw World is too scared not to appease Muslims requests.......when as they say themselves their aim is to kill all infidels and rule the World. Wake Up.
If the specific account of this story is true, perhaps they both should have been asked to leave the plane, put into a private room and let them talk/scream it out until they both know how the other feels and maybe come to somewhat of an understanding. Whether this account Jet Blue looses.....
My fellow Jewish passengers should all find an alternative airline for their travel. Unless Jet Blue comes up with another side of this story this is unforgivable.
OUTRAGES !! This can't happen in the USA. This airline must disappear from the business.
No. But if person A accused person B of making racist comments the airline would be forced to act. In this case it seems to have acted wrongly and in haste.
You wouldn't normally but Palestinians know how to play the victim better than anyone else. In this case the Palestinian started with a doctor....and that's the difference, one saves lives the other tries to take one away. Sorry couldn't be nicer.
It's interesting that you say this. Even after all terrorist attacks in Britain and USA, efforts to make sure everyday Muslims were "protected" from stigmatising them as supporting terrorist actions because of their religion (and of course they should be). But what is happening here is a failure to respect someone's freedom of speech just because she is Jewish....she was only on the phone.
Fuck Palestinians! Fuck them all! They're Zionist-hating pigs themselves! They're nothing but trouble! I hope they all die! ALL PALESTINIANS MUST DIE!!!!
שיזדיינו כבר
I've had ENOUGH of these Arab fuckers messing around with Israel! So what if this woman is a Jewish doctor? So what if SHE felt good about a Palestinian being killed? That's her freedom of SPEECH! She lives in AMERICA for crying out loud!
The Palestinian should've just been booted off! I don't care if she spent money on that flight; she should been killed. Motherfuckers like these should not live on this planet.
It's like saying, "I don't feel comfortable sitting next to a soldier because he might kill me."
COME ON! Seriously, the IDF can perfectly handle these motherfuckers without any problems. Especially with Hamas, they don't give a fuck about who you are. I hear on the news that when going to an Arab area, drivers are often asked, "Are you Jewish or Muslim?", and if you even ANSWER in Hebrew, they start beating you up until you're almost wound up dead. FINISH THEM OFF, IDF!!!!
עם ישראל חי, ושהפלסטינים ימותו. מוות לערבים
No flying Jet Blue for me...
I'm sure there was more to the story. To say that the Palestinian knows how to play the victim is just as wrong as saying Jewish people have used the Holocaust as an excuse for sympathy for years. Both statements are ignorant.
To the Anonymous person who wants all Palestinians to die: Scram! The only people saying that are provocateurs who want to make it look like Jews all think this way, and Jews who are stupid enough to fall into that trap.
the single biggest muslim arab contribution to society for the past 5,000 years is stirring up sh*t between themselves and others. 2nd biggest contribution is beheading infidels. Boycott Jet Blue? Its a 3rd world airline start up. I would rather not travel than fly Jet Blue.
I called JetBlue to get their response. There response was that they had no response. The woman in the publicity department obviously did not want to provide any actual information. She told me twice that she was going to email me the official JetBlue response and 'claimed' that the message was returned. I informed her that I had received over 50 messages that day, so I thought it was unlikely that she had sent me the message. I sent her a message and asked her to return the Jet Blue message...which was that they have no official message. If you're Jewish or just someone who believes in fair play, you will NEVER fly this airline again. And if Dr. Rosenberg has any sense she will sue them into non existence.
Could happen an all airlines, and can be justified.
Rosenberg claims she said "“I said any other country would have made these students out to be martyrs and celebrating them.”
Me, as a Jewish citizen of a Western democracy, I feel also offended by her statement.
More still: she apparently said many other things she didn't mention to Tablet.
I commend jetBlue for their prompt and appropriate reaction and decision.
@Robert M. Soran
Who says you have the right to not feel uncomfortable?
I'd feel much more uncomfortable with a Palestinian on the plane than a jewish doctor (since Palestiniains actually have a history of hijacking planes and other passenger conveyances) but I would never ask an airline to boot someone because of that feeling. Unless I had direct knowledge they were planning something illegal or dangerous, they have just as much right to be on the plane as I do.
Once again, you do NOT have the right to NOT feel uncomfortable. While racist comments may be boorish and in bad taste, the person saying them has the right to say them and should not be kicked off the plane (if indeed the doctor said "racist" comments, which I tend to doubt).
Read these reviews and then tell me you have no doubts that this is what occurred as the Doctor has stated.. I am having a hard time after reading the reviews to believe the doctor is so innocent her..

She doesn't sound so sweet and innocent as per her patients who support and sustain her lifestyle.
I have flown Jer Blue faithfully since their inception. NEVER AQGAIN!!!!
So can we get the name of the "Palestinian" who was "uncomfortable" with the good doctor's presence?
For sure the story needs to be investigated. Jews are known as the people of the Book , and both her Jewish religion and her American culture use a system of law that require investigation, respect of the laws and justice. Being from this kind of background I think that this doctor would have no problem with her story being checked.
As any case , we always keep in mind the history of the person in this case it would be the history of the religion and yes we all know that Muslims have blown up planes but Jews don't have a history of that. With all that in mind let's wait and see what they come up with
Well you feel unconfortable,?!you go out !!why make the other one do it? That i dont understand from jet blue .
Im with you! BOYCOTT jetblue
this needs to be reported in all major newspapers and asked to be followed by foxnews channel. then a lot of people will boycott Jet Blue airline. Hope to see it out of business very soon.
err..I'm searching the Palmbeachpost.com website and not finding this article anywhere.
Perhaps a link to the original news source could be forthcoming?
Read "Londonistan" by Melanie Phillips and you'll understand what Jet Blue has done. What ever happened in America to the market place of ideas? What happened to free speech? Jet Blue deserves a total boycott.
Well, I'll have to remember Jet Blue as the name of an airline that I never want to fly on. I don't want my money going to enrich anti-Semites if I can help it.
It is not ignorant to say Palestinians know how to play the victim. The difference between saying that and the point about the jews and the holocaust is that the jews were truly innocent victims of the Nazis. The only people victimizing the Palestinians are their own people. Jews all over should be boycotting JetBlue and letting them know why.
She should have been allowed to say whatever she wants it is her right and she is accurate. Palestinians would have made them into martyrs. This Palestinian should maybe look into the tremendous faults of her own people rather than trying to get jews thrown off a plane.

A week ago, on the 7th of July, as Jetblue Flight 454 prepared to depart from Gate C12, at West Palm Beach International Airport, a conflict arose between Lisa Rosenberg, M.D., a Jewish doctor from New York, seated in seat 7E and woman identified as a Palestinian in seat 9C.
On the 10th of July the Palm Beach Post published “Woman kicked off plane at PBIA after argument about Israel conflict “ in which the article states that that Dr. Rosenberg stated the Palestinian woman in seat 9C used racial slurs, threatened her daughter and Dr. Rosenberg is quoted as saying the incident was an “ugly, racially driven altercation” and that she “was completely outraged that I would be asked to leave a plane, being a Jew” …
… however …
… prior to Dr. Rosenberg’s statements to the Palm Beach Post the Jetblue flight attendant at the center of this incident filed her report that tells a much different story of the events as they unfolded on board Flight 454.
The initial internal report and final internal reports, both filed prior to the Palm Beach Post story, which I have been able to read in their entirely, and then verify, both squarely paint Dr. Rosenberg as the sole instigator of the events on board Flight 454. Furthermore both internal reports of the incident clearly lay out Dr. Rosenberg as the person who was in the midst of spewing hateful comments towards the Palestinian passenger in seat 9C, not vise versa.
The flight attendants reports states that the passengers in seats 12C and 11A were gesturing for her to quickly come to the front of the cabin during the boarding process, and began pleading with her to calm the situation between Dr. Rosenberg in seat 7E and the Palestinian woman in 9C.
The official internal report goes on to report that the flight attendant witnessed Dr. Rosenberg accuse the woman in 9C of being a “Palestinian murderer” and that “ her people are all murders and that they murder children,” while attempting move through the cabin and position herself physically closer to the woman in Seat 9C.
Additional passengers on board Flight 454 continues to express continuing concern for the their safety as Dr. Rosenberg continued to rant, even after being instructed by the flight attendant to cease her engagement with the woman in seat 9C, at which time the cabin crew requested a Complaint Resolution Official from the airline be contacted to board the aircraft, and Dr. Rosenberg was informed of FAM 2-13, G PROHIBITION OF DISCRIMINATION, G.1 Race, Creed, or Colour, which says ” JetBlue provides equal service to all passengers regardless of race, creed, or colour.”
The official internal report goes on to state Dr. Rosenberg continues to open state offensive and inappropriate language while ranting about Gaza and the Palestinians.
Upon arrival of Jetblue’s Complaint Resolution Official the crew, including the Captain, needed to make a determination regarding regulation FAM 7-4, A.3.1 On The Ground, which lays out whether of not the removal of a passenger in necessary for the reasonable safety and comfort of other passengers.
CONTINUED__________________
As the Complaint Resolution Official began to speak directly with Dr. Rosenberg, she began to not only continue to verbally attack the woman in seat 9C, but openly imply that the woman had explosives in her bag and intended to blow up the aircraft in flight.
At this time Dr. Rosenberg launched in to a familiar rant flight attendant are accustomed to, threatening to make sure the flight attendant would be fired as she was removed from the aircraft and met on the jetway by officers from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department.
… through all of this, Jetblue Flight 454 managed to push off the gate only four minutes late and arrive at New York’s JFK International Airport’s Terminal 5 Gate 25 10 minutes early.
Now … of course the moral of this story is this … and I say this as a Jewish guy from New York … folks. we’re all in it together.
You cannot judge someone by their religion or their nationality and people need to stop blaming religious persecution for being removed from flights when in fact they were removed based upon their own actions. Jetblue’s internal reports lay out an exceptionally detailed accounting of the incident, with multiple witnesses to the incident and it would seem by all accounts Dr. Lisa Rosenberg, M.D., was out of line and spewing all the hate towards one passenger. When a passenger is verbally abusive towards others on the aircraft and proceeds to position themselves physically closer to a person they have picked a fight with, they should be removed from the aircraft. This is not a religious or racial issue; this is a safety and security issue.
I wish this comment had a like button
Your blinded rage hate is not helping...
you're all just as bad as both of those people involved....most of you probably have no idea what even happened on the plane.....also when did the world come to suing everyone, don't get your way....sue them.... too lazy to make your own money... sue them... seriously though? I'm sure most of you are all adults on this thing. But seriously you all need to grow up. this is pathetic
to 9:32
Then tell Congress to reform tort laws because suing happens all over America in every case. This just an example. The other day a sleeping fan in Yankee Stadium was ridiculed by the announcers and now he's suing. If it goes to a jury he'll win because juries are stupid.Time to sue you for calling us pathetic.
When the world stops being afraid of the hatred set Arabs (wherever they are from) and takes care of those perpetrating the hatred - these types of crimes will cease.
Is there anything in the article that points to witnesses ? Sounded like it was a plane with 2 passengers.. what did other people say ? Did anyone from the side see or heard what went on?
Before jumping to conclusions read what JetBlue stated: "Rosenberg’s account of the story 'in no way reflects the report that we have.'". So obviously she isn't telling the full story. Jetblue reports get witness testimony from flight attendants and passengers. Rosenberg might be the one that inititated the arguement and could've had an altercation with the Palestinian passenger and/or the crew. They Do not throw someone off a flight simply because a passenger requested it, they need a justifiable reason.
This is totally different from what the flight attendant reported. She said it was Dr. Rosenberg who initiated and pursued the racial slurs, and the passengers in the area backed her up.
Don't u realize that the Palestinians are not human but animals? What would u expect from this animal who started to fight with the dr.? I bet that's how her parents or spouse treat her because they r Arabs who were born to hate even their own people. They r raised this way since childhood. Till today Israel tries to "talk" to them to hear each other out. But Arabs cannot b alone w a Jew because they will murder her....and then kill themselves!!
ימח שמם
the fact that everyone only believes the 1 side of the story that they are hearing. You are ALL also discriminatory for assuming the palestinian is completely wrong. Both women were most likely ignorant and wrong. I agree they both should have been kicked off if that was the case. There are much bigger problems in the world, if only the "bloggers" were this passionate about starvation, disease, and war in other third world countries! ha!
When you are talking in public, its not eavesdropping. Noone was eavesdropping on anyone.
M Chase - VERY well said!!!
I'm sorry but this account is completely wrong. I saw it on a news site (don't remember which but it was American media) and the doctor was threatening the Palestinian woman. She was kicked off finally because she screamed in the plane that the Palestinian woman was going to blow up the plane. She's lucky her ass wasn't thrown in jail for intentional mischief.
JetBlue - take a notice. You offended many people in this country and around the world.
Why is everyone so sue Happy... Jet Blue made a judgement call, I wasn't there and I will bet most of you weren't either. So the person was a doctor, there are good and bad Doctors. The woman Doctor was I understand from the news accusing the woman from Palestine of something.
Good for Jet Blue
I don't see anyone screaming if a Middle Eastern person is removed from a plane because someone thinks they are making racial slurs .
This story is missing information I am sure there is more to the story that the good doctor isn't saying. No airline would remove a customer without good reason. The doctor's account of the story doesn't add up. It certainly isn't unusual to blame a company or someone else for an outcome that was a direct result of misbehaving and getting caught. There is more to this I am sure.
I wonder why this hasn't mace CNN or any of the other news outlets? Hope she sues and wins!
