Did a Rebbie Kill Chaim Weiss in 1986?

On November 1, 1986, at approximately 7:50 AM, Chaim Weiss a third year rabbinical student at Torah High School, a Jewish Orthodox Yeshiva, was found murdered, by unknown person(s). His body was discovered in his dormitory located at 63 East Beech Street, Long Beach, NY. Photo: Nassau Police

It’s been nearly three decades since 15-year-old yeshiva student Chaim Weiss was bludgeoned to death with a “hatchet-like weapon” in his Yeshiva of Long Beach dormitory on Long Island.
Law enforcement authorities reopened the cold case three years ago and interviewed 100 former students, but still came up empty as to who was responsible for the heinous and cold blooded murder that took place on Halloween night 29 years ago.
“It’s one that has really stuck with me,” retired Detective Robert Edwards told the Daily News (http://nydn.us/1P9I6Vl).
“He was sleeping in his room, a place that is supposed to be safe.” Edwards said some 140 students were initially interviewed when the crime was first committed, but they all “lawyered  up” and claimed they didn’t know what happened. “We got nothing,” Edwards recalled.
Yeshiva administrators went to check on Weiss after he did not attend Sabbath morning prayers on November 1, 1986, and discovered his body. His skull was crushed from the blunt force trauma he had sustained to the head. The murder weapon was never recovered.
Weiss’ Staten Island-based parents are still distraught by the loss of their son and are hoping for answers. His father, Anton, visits Chaim’s grave every year before the anniversary of his murder. He also routinely meets with the Nassau County police captain who is assigned to the case.
Police have said there were several strange things about the way the body was discovered. His body had been moved to the floor, a window had been opened in the room, and a memorial candle was placed in the room – all rituals in accordance with Jewish tradition. Weiss was one of only two students who didn’t have a roommate, and there was no sign of a struggle or anything missing from the room.

Investigators have ruled out initial suspects, including a mentally ill man, Halloween pranksters, and a janitor. The police now believe the murder was committed by a fellow student or a faculty member.
“How could this happen and nobody hear or say anything? Somebody’s got a secret,” said Nassau County Police Capt. John Azzata.
Azzata said police still plan to interview another 100 former students again, in the hopes that maturity may have changed their minds about speaking up. “People are aware of what transpired back then and you’d hope with maturity they’d come forward now,” Azzata said. “That hasn’t happened yet.”

Right from the beginning when this terrible murder happened i had a strong feeling it was an inside job, either by a fellow student or more likely by a faculty member.
Don't you find it highly suspicious and very unusual that Chaim Weiss h"y"d,had a room all for himself ? V"HAMEVIN YAVON.
Hope and pray they finally get this bastard who did this

It doesn't have to be a rebbi. One blogger alleges that they had a modern orthodox ger who was a science teacher who was arrested for molesting kids at a co-ed day school he also worked at and then was chozer to being a goy again. The teacher's initials are said to be S.R. He was arrested for molesting at HANC which a rabbi there at first allegedly was covering up before someone notified the police.

The "ger" was ruled out by police as a suspect

There was also a homeless bum who had moved in to the dorm over bain hazemanim and was very upset to be evicted when the bochurim returned after Simchas Torah. Neighbors claim that the police did not take this lead seriously.

Then there was also an intruder who had broken in & severely beaten 6 different senior citizens in Long Beach. He was never caught that they would know to rule him out or not.

Long Beach is kind of a weird yeshiva so it wouldn't completely shock me if it was an insider but the Long Beach cops in the 1980s were kind of sloppy investigators.

It was either a Rebbe or a member of the faculity, it was no bum etc.....
All the boys "lawyered up"

Yankel Pollak who does the dirty work no one else will for BMG Lakewood is a Long Beach talmid. He gets his mindset from Long Beach which is the kind of yeshiva that puts video cameras in the kitchen to catch the great "crime" of bochurim who look for food when hungry.

Yankel's brother Avrom or "Allen" had the same "glorified" job in South Fallsburg and then Sea Gate, so he might also be a Long Beach talmid. In case you've seen "Allen" Pollak in the news lately it's because he's same person arrested as the latest co-conspirator of Weinstein's ponzi scheme to face the music.

Someone Frum or was Frum had to be involved as the body was moved to the floor, the window was opened and a yaritzeit light was lit!!!!

Someone from would hardly be likely to light a yahrzeit candle on Shabbos! That piece of evidence would seem to implicate a non-Jew who knew something about Jewish practices and wanted people to think that a Jew did it.

Maybe if he murdered on Shabbos which is also a chilul Shabbos, he may have been moreh heter to light the candle too. Maybe.

A homeless bum or a Polish janitor are never going to take the time and trouble to open the window, light a yahrzeit candle, move the body to the floor, etc...

This case stinks to high heaven, what was the name of the suicide victim at this yeshiva before the Chaim Weiss Z'L murder?

Were you a talmid?
