In fact, just today I was sitting in Kollel for appprox 9 hours, with Soldiers coming in and out for either Shachris, Mincha and Maariv, and I didn't see them arresting a single Kollel guy!

He was arrested for not registering for the draft, not because he was learning, and he has his Gedoilim to thank for that!
There is more to this story, he was been sought for over two years and was almost arrested last week at his home,
Either way to write that he was arrested "for learning Torah" is sheer chutzpah and how is anyone to believe anything that CBN scribbles?
The State this year alone granted close to a billion shekel to Moisdois Hatorah this year alone. The government finally woke up and are starting to cut those funds to these ungrateful people who live in this country and refuse to recognize it!
i see that they decided to drag their aged Gedoilim all over the world in private Jets, every few weeks, to make up the deficit which of course is like beating a dead horse!

hmmm how many Arab citizens did they arrest for not registering for draft?I disagree completely , the problem is the Israeli govt gave these mosdos milllions and millions and encourges them to learn and open more yeshivos and now they expect to SIMPLY CLOSE THEM and heard To army lol, THE GOVT ITSELF CREATED THIS MONSTER BY SUPPORTING THEM now the govt must find a slow normal solution or civil war will happen. By arresting a newly chosson is midos sdom just gets them more angry, but a normal solution thats compromise makes sense. The government is NOT closing any yeshivas, the government will not fund those who are eligible to enlist. There are over 60,000 boys and Avreichim over 25 who continue to get funds!
Reports on Charedie Social media now is that there is a lot more to this story, and I will let it play out.
As far as "Middos Sdom" is concerned, that is an absurd comparison; no one chopped off his feet, no one stretched him out, or covered him with honey and tar!
And he can get out of this tonight by registering to enlist, which he should do. In Sdom no one could get out of it!
