Neturei Karta Protest Satmar Rebbe of Williamsburg "Cut off your beard and peyois and show them who you really are."

Netura Karta protesters last night at the Atrium Ballroom where the Satmar Rebee Reb Zalman Leib Teitelbaum attended a dinner for his monsey shul.

Once you let the genie out of the bottle, you cannot get it back in.

Satmar created this monster called Neturei Karta and funded it, and still do.

So what did the Satmar Rebbe do that they are screaming at him that he should "cut his beard and peyois off?"

This is hilarious!

Last week we posted a story about how the Satmar Rebbe called the Belzer Rebbe an "apikoras" because he is taking money from "the medina" and will introduce Math & English in the Belzer curriculum.

Well, Satmar is doing the exact same thing, taking federal, state and city funds and introducing Math, English and maybe some LGBT required courses for good measure.

The Neurei Karta and Bnei Yoel are protesting this hypocrisy! They are quoting the Satmar Rebbe's words that he used to mock the Belzer and throwing those words back into his face!

Some say that Hashem has a sense of humor, and just unbelievable, and it is what the goyim call ..."karma"

In Israel the Litvishe Newpaper "The Yated" keeps bashing the Belzer for signing an agreement with the Misrad Ha'Chinuch. But what is funny is that all the Livishe Moisdois take money from the "medina' and teach secular studies in their moisdois.

If that is in fact true, why bash Belz?

I have to say I love the questions of my readers...I just love them.

The answer is because Belz is a very powerful chassidus in Israel and they have their own MK in the knesset.  The Belzer Rebbe is basically telling the Litvishe Chareidie parties to go to hell and that he doesn't need them for anything. He is of course 100% correct, the chareidie parties are splintered and need Belz. The "the kalte litvacks" thought that if they bashed Belz, they would weaken Belz and Belz would have to bow down and kowtow to Black Hats.

It's not working, Belz is not backing down and is in fact getting stronger and is negotiating on his own and throwing all the Livishe Gedoilim to the curb. Last week the President of Israel Herzog met with the Belzer.

At the end of the day, I predict, they will get together and unite publicly before the elections but behind the scenes they hate each other's guts. Haman was correct when he told Achashveirois ישנו עם אחד מפוזר ומפורד

"There is one nation that is spread out and separated"

The nation is "one" only when its spread out and separated

Unfortunately true!

FYI. Although I believe in secular education as a personal choice, I am opposed to the hypocritical position taken by many "Litvishe" and "Yeshivisha" personalities that belie the historical relationship of many talmidim of Eastern European yeshivas and their own secular background. Although common to many Litvishe yeshivahs, the Slobodka Yeshivah comes to mind as an exemplar of the peculiar blend of the Torah and secular world.

Indeed, although the Alter of Slobodaka was himself a purist in his dedication to Torah, many of Talmidim were not as pristine in their attitudes. What comes to mind are such personalities as Rav Hutner and Rav Yechiel Yaakov Weinberg who studied both in Slobodka and Berlin. But what might be a less obvious example would be Rav Yaakov Yitchock Ruderman, a Slobodka talmid. par excellence and who later founded of Ner Yisroel, where nearly almost all alumni have attended nearby John Hopkins or Loyala. Or perhaps may I suggest another Slobodker, his cousin, Rav Yaakov Kaminetzky, who presided over Yeshiva Torah Vodaath in the 1970's, when almost all attended Brooklyn College.

Why weren't these luminaries challenged by Rav Aaron Kotler, the captain of pure American Torah? With trepidation might I suggest that some nepotism was involved? After all, they were his first cousins and family is family.

Lest I forget, how about the great scholar Saul Lieberman of Yerushalmi and Tosefta fame (I cannot refer to him as a talmid chochom, merely a scholar), who studied at Slobodka and later at the Universities of Kyiv and Paris? Oh yes, he became the "Rosh Yeshivah" of the Jewish Theological Seminary, hardly a beacon of Charaydism. Did any Litvak condemn him then like today they are condemning Belz? Of course not, he was a first cousin to the Chazon Ish and his wife Judith a first cousin to the Brisker Rov.

I can respect those who oppose Belz on the basis of sincere ideological beliefs, but I will not accept hypocrisy.

Lol, yeah right, like Satmar’s gonna teach LGBT sh*t, gimme a break.

I don’t doubt they’ll accept the grants to fund the teaching thereof though.

But in classic Satmar rip-the government-off style, instead they’ll teach tolerance of the guy next to you in shul who prefers ayer kichel over kokosh cake.

Truth be told NK’s stance isn’t all that bizarre in protesting the acceptance of to’evah dough.

The BOE hasn't yet set the curriculum for private schools yet, but it will certainly contain "inclusive" courses which will include LGBT. If Satmar and the rest of the Yeshivois will want to continue getting Federal, State and City funds, they will not have any choice but to teach it. The students will get mandated State tests proctored by Public School proctors, if they all fail this part of the exam, the State and City will sue to recover the funds. Not a good situation!
