Israeli Rabbi Visits Tehran’s Bazaar, Taking Selfies While Talking Hebrew

I just want to know the make-up artist that put his beard on! It looks fake to me.

He went to visit Mordechai & Esther's grave in Iran. It's located in the Iranian city of Hamadan, which is about 335 kilometers west of Tehran.

Many years ago when I was just a Yeshiva Bachur, I took a tour with Gefner Tours and he took us to Esther Hamalkas's grave in the upper Galilee, near Tzfas.. In fact as early as 1215, R' Menachem Ha'Chevroni wrote that while visiting the Galil, he came across the tomb of Esther Ha'malka " who instructed her son Cyrus to bring her there"

So who really knows?

Anyway, this tzaddik has a smartphone and took a bunch of selfies..my kind of rabbi
As they say in Yiddish:
"es fehlt nisht kein meshigaim"

An Israeli rabbi from Jerusalem’s Ramat Shlomo neighborhood recently visited Tehran and spoke freely in Hebrew at the city’s bazaar, while wearing rabbinical garb.

Rabbi Herzog, who has American citizenship, describes the people as “amazing, really nice” and expressed his wonder at the huge amount of stock in the Tehran bazaar.

Rabbi Yaakov Herzog initially made a name for himself after frequenting Saudia Arabia and styling himself as the Rabbi of KSA(Kingdom of Saudia Arabia), providing religious services for the expatriate Jewish community in Saudia Arabia.

However Rabbi Herzog has now used his foreign passport to visit a far more forbidding venue, arriving in Tehran, Iran where he visited the local Jewish community as well as numerous popular sites in the bustling city. In one clip

Rabbi Herzog also used the opportunity to visit Hamadan, the site of the tombs of Esther and Mordechai. Rabbi Herzog has refused to discuss with the media the reason behind his visit to Iran, but was not concerned about the media clips of him speaking Hebrew in the anti-Israel country.
