Three suspicious deaths in Lev Tahor.

 I think back to my years in Lev Tahor and it's filled with images of pain and suffering. My time in Buvel (Lev Tahor's compound in rural Guatemala) was packed with death. My father, of blessed memory. Shlomo Helbrans. Miriam Laver. Each of the deaths bothered me then and still bother me now. They all could have easily been avoided. Each one was surrounded with suspicious circumstances. 

Every death contributed to further abuse and deep horrors that I am trying to work through to this day. Making this video took a lot out of me. I was interviewed for hours on camera twice and then had a wonderful reunion with Yaniv in front of a camera crew. But I did it because I had to. The world needs to know about the abuse because it's still happening. 

My family is stuck in a place where their health and lives are dependent on the whims of its leaders. There's no oversight. No freedom of movement, of speech, of thought. 

My wish is that this film helps the Frum world, the Chassidic world, come to terms with the fact that there is serious abuse going on in Lev Tahor.

Show him the files we have leaked and ask him if they support such actions and behaviors (we have many more files to leak - we're just waiting for approval on them). Ask them to issue Kol Korehs against Lev Tahor. We need to stop them from abusing more people.

Many years ago when I was in High School, we would call headlines like these "Yellow Journalism," today it's known as "Fake News."

Yitzy "The Frank" Frankfurter, who is the editor and publisher of  Ami Magazine will jump on any story that denigrates the State of Israel. Why?

He wants Satmar to like him. 

The Frank's father was a Sigether, a staunch follower of The Sigether Rebbe, Reb Moshe Teitelbaum aka The Beirach Moshe, who subsequently became the Satmar Rebbe after the passing of his uncle R' Yoel Teitelbaum. 

The Sigether was a closet Zionist and married off his eldest son, R' Aaron the present Satmar Rebbe of Kiryas Yoel, to the Viznitzer Rebbe's daughter, an act of betrayal to the Satmar "SHIT'ah, that despised Viznitz for supporting the "Medina." R' Yoel never forgave him .

 But G-d had other plans, when R' Yoel Teitelbaum went to meet his Maker, without leaving any living children, the natural person to inherit was his closest relative who was none other than the Sigether, his nephew.

In March 1970, roughly 40 prominent Soviet Jews held a major press conference at Moscow’s “House of Friendship” for foreign media to proclaim their loyalty to the Soviet Union and assert their hatred for Israel and Zionism. The regime’s latest Jewish propaganda voice has been Iran’s 35-year-old, U.S.-educated Chief Rabbi Yehuda Gerami, who during the last several weeks has been traveling across America visiting several Iranian and Ashkenazi synagogues. Gerami has been preaching religious sermons at each synagogue and avoiding political topics in the Middle East.

Yet in a recently published story by the Orthodox-Jewish Ami Magazine in New York, Gerami couldn’t help but repeat his typical propaganda talking points of “how well the Iranian regime treats Iran’s Jews.” Gerami cannot be faulted for wanting to please his ayatollah overlords in Tehran with positive news coverage for them and in turn wanting to protect Iran’s Jews from possible attacks. The real fault lays with the editors of the magazine for shamefully publishing his words verbatim without also doing their own research and disclosing the facts of the countless attacks Iran’s Jews have faced in recent years at the hands of the regime’s thugs, the vehemently anti-Semitic laws of the regime, and the regime’s sickening repeated denials of the Holocaust.

Ami Magazine Promotes Fake News with Insulting Cover Questioning Trump's Sanity on Front Cover

Ami Magazine is on a roll with Fake News, but this time the Chareidie rag published by Yitzchok "The Clown" Frankfurter outdid even itself by causing a huge Chillul Hashem with an article "Analyzing the mind of President Trump" and featuring the heading of this fake story on the cover!

Can you imagine the outcry if "the Clown" would have written a similar article on Obama?

In this issue Ami interviewes Michael D'Antonia, author of "Never Enough" a book that trashed the then candidate Donald Trump. D'Antonia also authored an opinion piece for the Fake CNN News with the byline  "Donald Trump, the arsonist-in-Chief," 

where he postulates that "Trump has an arsonist mentality."

When questioned by Ami, if he has any background in psychology, D'Antonia admits that he doesn't..... yet Ami saw fit to interview a Trump hater in a Religious Jewish Magazine.

"The Clown" forgets that we are Jews in galus, and we need to  keep a low profile..... he totally ignores the fact  that we need to be in the President's good graces. 

Just last week, his White House reporter, Jake Turx, dressed as if he just walked out of a Purim Play, sporting a Kippah with his twitter account embroidered, asked a stupid silly question to none other than the President of the United States....

Instead of telling the President that he represents frum Jews that voted and supported him, he asked a long winded question that was confusing and silly...

The President of the United States is the most powerful figure in the entire world, and Turx gets dressed in a purim costume, mocking the entire process of the press core......

Anyone else standing in front of a President would be dressed with "derech eretz" ......

It wouldn't hurt him to dress with a tie ..... yes with a tie ..... and look neat ..... 
Nobody wraps their peyus around their ears anymore, either curl them or put them under your childish embroidered kippah ... 

I guess he represents "the clown" so he dresses as if he was in a circus!

AMI SAYS THAT MAKING "YISHUV ERETZ YISROEL A FOCAL POINT IS "BLASPHEMOUS!"

I had written a post last week, that Ami stated in it's editorial that living in Israel, "is not important!" 

This week, an Ami reader, R' Peretz Rubel, of Ramat Beit Shemesh, writes a Letter to the Editor, responding to the "Clown" Frankfurter  and taking him to task writing:

 "Rabbi Frankfurter's words were painful to the core." 

R' Peretz goes on to quote the Gemarrah in Kesubois,  exactly the same Gemarrah that I quoted, that living in chutz leaaretz, is like "living without a G-D."

This week, the crazed insane Israel hater, "The Clown", doubles down and responds in a bizarre rant stating that "to elevate this mitzvah" (Yishuv Eretz Yisrael) as the focal point of Yahadus is not only mistaken but also blasphemous" and questions "whether that mitzvah is even in effect today"

Notice,The Clown referring to the mitzvah of "Yishuv Eretz Yisroel" as "this" and  "that" mitzvah.

This idiotic "response" is wrong on so many levels. Where do I even start?

First, the Clown writes: "I certainly did not mean to belittle the great mitzvah of yishuv Eretz Yisrael" but then he writes that to "elevate this mitzvah ..... is blasphemous"

The yearning of every normal Jew to be  m'kayeim the mitzvah Yishuv Eretz Yisrael is the "focal point" of the Shemonah Esreh ...... it was the "focal point" of Parshas Ve'eschanen when Moshe Rabbeinu pleaded with the Ribona Shel Olam to let him in ..... the midrash goes abit further to  say that Moshe pleaded to go to Israel ... not as a leader, but just as an ordinary Jew!

Moshe was willing to forgo the leadership of Klall Yisrael to spend even a minute in Eretz Yisrael!

We have posted numerous times the greatness and the obligation that every single Jew has, even the Ami Clown, to bem'kayim the mitzvah of Yishuv Eretz Yisroel.

The Ramban, one the the "moneh ha'mitzvois" (counter of the 613 mitzvos) writes that it is a mitzvah asseh "bizman hazeh (mitzvah 4)."  

Rav Yosef Chayim Sonnenfeld, no lover of Zionists, paskens that it is an obligation of every single Jew to live in Israel today (see Ha'ish Al Ha'comeh Vol 2, page 149). 

The Chazon Ish writes that no Jew is exempt from this mitzvah (see Kovetz Egros Vol 1 letter 175), and in fact urged the financial support of the Agudah Kibbutzim.

Rav Eliyashev ( see Halichos Ve'hanhagois, Bein Hamzoirois page 6) and Harav Chaim Kanivski (see Shalos Ut'shuvois Mayim Chayim pages 175-177 and see Maalos Rivka page 471-473) write that every single Jew must make Aliyah and build up Israel....

The Rambam himself, that the "clown" loves to quote, writes in Hichas Melachim, "All sins are forgiven to those who live in Israel"

He adds, "A person should always live in Eretz Yisrael, even in a town that its majority are gentile, and one should not live in chutz le'aaretz even in a city that the majority are Jews."

Another aspect of the "clown's" reasoning, that's flawed. 

He writes that to elevate a mitzvah (in this case Yishuv Eretz Yisrael) is "blasphemous" 

All Mussar Seforim suggest that people who want to do Tesuvah should choose  a mitzvah "elevate it" and excel in it ....... 

is that now "blasphemous?' 

But ... the craziness of The Clown has no limits ....  takes a mitzvah that the Rishonim say, is an obligation today , .... and takes a mitzvah that the Gra, the Baal Shem, yearned all their holy lives to fulfill ....and says that it is "blasphemous" .......that is proof positive, that he is a very very ..... sick individual ......

The meraglim actually made the "clown's" arument ... that Yishuv Eretz Yisrael is not important and that the "focal point" of "yehadus" is the Torah .... 

Now I understand why the Torah wrote: 

"the Children of Korach, didn't die"

The clown, Yitzy Frankfurter never ceases to amaze me. In an "editorial" in last week's Ami, (a magazine catering to women), titled "Consolation," Yitzy the "drei kup" makes up a reason for his lady audience why Moshe Rabbeinu  wasn't allowed to enter Eretz Yisroel:
"Hakadosh Baruch Hu sent a message that the Torah is at the center of Yiddishkeit and not Eretz Yisrael."

Chazal and practically all Rishonim are climbing walls to find an answer why Hashem prohibited Moshe to enter the Holy land. Moshe Rabbeinu himself postulates that  it's because of Klall Yisroel stating in Parshas Ve'eschanan: "Vyisaber Hashem bee Le'Manchem" "Hashem refused me entry in the Holy land because of YOU!",...
and the Orach Chayim in this week's parsha writes that at the end of the day ...."we really don't know" ...
So nobody knows why .....
but Yitzy the Clown,  knows ...
He reasons that " Torah is far more central to Jewish life than than any geographical location"
So now Eretz Yisroel according to his warped logic is only a "geographical location"
The Arabs don't think it's just "any geographical location" and the Christians don't think it's just "any geographical location" and our Holy Torah doesn't think that Eretz Yisrael is just a  "geographical location".....but the Frank, with his scraggly beard ... thinks so...

Now don't get me wrong, I think that Torah is of paramount importance; without Torah we are like all other nations. 
But why can't Torah and Eretz Yisroel be on par? .....

The Gemarrah says that anyone walking 4 amos in Eretz Yisroel gets all "his sins forgiven." The Gemarrah doesn't say that about learning Torah, you can learn Torah and be a rasha me'rusha." You can learn Torah and still go to hell!

Yitzy, a Satmar tuchisleker, constantly tries to throw in the bizarre Satmar ideology whenever he can...
He even quotes the Rambam's Moreh Nevuchim,(a sefer that according to Chareidim should not even be read) to bolster his idiotic twisted undermining of the Mitzvah of Yishuv Eretz Yisrael.
and writes " yishuv Eretz Yisrael is just one of the Torah's commandments and is not the focal point of Judaism."

The fact that we see open miracles; the fulfillment of every single prophecy, the "in-gathering of the exiles" and we are seeing that the majority of Jews  now live in Israel ...those facts are totally ignored by this stand up comic. The Baalei Mussar write "Letzana achas doiche meh toichacois" One Joke can destroy 100 lectures of Mussar ... Yitzy just did that with his "editorial" 

Let's see how the Chazal viewed "Yishuv Eretz Yisroel"

Bava Kamma 80b

We learned in friday's Daf (Bava Kamma 80b) that one may instruct  a gentile to sign a contract on Shabbos, on the Jew's behalf  to buy property in Israel. 
Normally when we deal with  any other "melacha" on shabbos we cannot instruct a non-Jew to do the "melacha" because of the prohibition of "amira le'akum." 
But when it comes to buying property in Israel from a non-Jew, Chazal did away with "shvus"  meaning doing away with all Shabbos related Rabbinic decrees because of the great importance of "Yishuv Eretz Yisrael." 

Kesubois daf 110b

The Gemmarah in tractate Kesubois (Daf 110b) goes a step further and says that one living in Eretz Yisrael is as if he was "living with a G-D" and one who lives in Chutz Le'aaretz, is as if he was worshipping idols and is living "without a G-D" ..!

Now see for yourself what the Ramban states in his Sefer Ha'Mitzvos:

commanded for conquest & redeem the Land in all generations even under the jurisdiction of other nations i.e. exile ...

"That we are commanded to take possession of the Land which the Almighty, Blessed Be He, gave to our forefathers, to Avraham, to Yitzhak, and to Yaacov; and not to abandon it to other nations, or to leave it desolate, as He said to them, You shall dispossess the inhabitants of the Land and dwell in it, for I have given the Land to you to posses it, (Numbers, 33:53) and he said, further, To Inherit the Land which I swore to your forefathers, (to give them,) behold, we are commanded with the conquest of the land in every generation." 

Yitzchok Frankfurter: "Ramban was an anti-Zionist"

The Frank Spaced Out!

In an "editorial" in this week's edition of Ami Magazine, Yitzy "der naar" Frankfurter postulates that the holy Ramban was an anti-Zionist! 

Even though Rabbi Moshe ben Nachmon, known by his acronym "The Ramban" died in the year 1270 ... approximately 627 years before the Zionism movement even came into being. 

The ironic part about this "editorial" is that the Ramban as a "monei ha'mitzvos" (one who itemizes the 613 mitzvos) includes "yishuv Eretz Yisroel" "residing in Israel" as a mitzvas eseeh de"orisah, bzman hazeh" " a positive biblical commandment in today's day and age."

In fact the Ramban himself made aliyah and was buried according to the Ari Z"L next to the Mearas Ha'machpeilah!

So this demented snake, hater of Eretz Yisroel, takes the words of the holy Ramban who was a proponent of Jews living and conquering Israel,  twists it to make the Ramban sound like he was a "anti-Zionist" even though the Ramban was  gone for over six hundred years, before Zionism was even an idea.

AMI Rewrites Satmar Rebbe History saying he was an Ohaiv Yisroel

The "clown" Yitzchok Frankfurter is  an obsessed Satmar re-writer of history!

 In this week's issue he has an editorial  "Many Rivers Couldn't Quench His Ahavas Yisroel" desperately trying to convince his naive readers that the Satmar Rebbe was an Ohaiv Yisroel. 

It's interesting to note, that no other Chassidis  needs an editorial in Ami  to convince anyone that their Rebbe was an Ohaiv Yisroel.  

So Frankfurter  tried to find at least one statement or quote from   R' Yoel Teitelbaum, stating that he loved every single Jew, even the Zionists!

But after searching all of R' Yoilish's Shalash Seudah Toirelech and his books, the clown came up with nothing! ..... Nada! 
He couldn't find a single source that R' Yoilish was an Ohaiv Yisoel from R' Yoilish's own writing or sayings!

So how did the Frank  prove his preposterous theory that R' Yoilish loved every single Jew, even if they were Zionist supporters? 

According to the "Clown," ..... the proof is, that when the Satmar Rebbe ranted and raved against the Gedoilie Yisroel that supported the State of Israel , he DID NOT quote a particular  Rambam!

Guys, help me! 
Is this insane, or what? 
So because the Rebbe didn't quote the Rambam, when he ranted, raved and cursed  the Zionists, that makes him an Ohaiv Yisroel!

It's not that we found proof somewhere that R' Yoilish said that he loved every single Jew, ...... No! 
According to the Frank, we see that R' Yoilish was an Ohaiv Yisroel, from what he didn't say!??????

He wants us to judge the Rebbe, not by what he wrote or actually said, but what the Rebbe didn't write or say?????
How crazy can a guy get? What drug is he taking?

The Rambam In Hilchos Rotzei'ach 13:14 states that there is in fact no mitzvah of Ahavas Yisroel for a sinner!
Now, ..... this is not the forum to debate the ruling and the thinking of the Rambam ..
Suffice it to say that the Lubavitcher Rebbe z"l knew this Rambam very well, probably, I would venture to say, better then R' Yoilish, and he established the biggest Kiruv movement and "Tefillin Campaign" since Hashem gave the Torah at Har Sinai!

So let's pause and think about  "the Frank's" demented statement..... .... that the Rambam held that there is "no mitzvah of Ahavas Yisroel for a sinner"

According to his twisted logic, where does that leave  the Rambam,????????????????????????????????????? 

According to the Frank, the Rambam must have been  a "Sonei Yisroel," a hater of Jews,  making the Satmar Rebbe an Ohaiv Yisroel since  the Rebbe didn't quote this Rambam on purpose, thinking that the Rambam was too extreme???????????????????????????

Get it?

Now let's see some examples from  the Rebbe's own lips  regarding  the Gedoilim that supported the Zionists, and then let's see if  he loved any of them!

1)  Parshas Shelach June 1967, in his Shaolosh Seuda Toireleh rant, that is recorded on an mp disc and transcribed in a book called "Sheemee D'var Hashem" (what a chutzpah to call this trash, "Words of Hashem") page 31, Chapter 23, the Rebbe calls the Zionists
"zera Ameliek" children of Amelik!

2) In the same book, page 37, Chapter 24, the Rebbe calls those Gedoilie Yisroel that support the Zionists 
"Apikorsim" 

3) In the same book page 28 chapter 15, the Rebbe mocks those (Chabad) that are mekareiv and put tefillin on the secular Zionists and IDF soldiers ....

the Rebbe says "Shabsai Tzvi  ym"s..... also did kiruv work" 

then he continues the  rant:
"the military (IDF) that mix with girls, .....I'm not going to mention that they are immersed in TV watching and attend theaters, and are steeped in Tumeh , is there any doubt that their entire way of thinking is full of carnal desires and are prohibited from putting tefillin on ..... and that they (Chabad) chose specifically this particular mitzvah; ......isn't  the act of putting on tefillin  on person  like them (IDF) itself a sin?!"   

In the above rant (#3) he mocks the Lubavitcher Rebbe z"l  who apparently was very aware of the halachos of  tefillin and nevertheless, since he truly loved every single Jew, saw fit to institute a "Tefillin Campaign" so that every single male Jew have the merit of putting on tefillin at least once in his lifetime!

In reading the above examples, was the Satmar Rebbe the hallmark of an Ohaiv Yisroel? 

Would someone who loves every single Jew, call a Jew ...."Zera Ameliek?" 

Would someone who loves every single Jew call a Jewish leader that supports the State of Israel an "apikores?"

Would someone who loves every single Jew deny him an opportunity to put Tefillin on at least once in his lifetime?

The bottom line is that R' Yoel Teitelbaum the founder of the Satmar dynasty did  not love every Jew since he cursed the Zionists ...and not only that, he made sure that his followers also hated them ...
as to why R' Yoilish did not quote the Rambam if it bolstered his postion .....
Who knows and who cares!

To say that "Many Rivers couldn't quench his Ahavas Yisroel"  is laughable .... and a blatant lie, I may add...

Rabi Yair Hoffman throws Yitzchok Frankfurter of Ami Under the Bus!

I really don't have a dog in this fight, but I think that Rabbi Hoffman has it in for Frankfurter, so he waited, lurking in the shadows, waiting for The Frank to say something crazy. Sure enough Hoffman didn't have to wait long. 

It seems that Yitzy Frankfurter said, that Rabbi Elazar, an Amorah of the  first generation of Amoraim, was a depressed guy!

Well, Hoffman would have nothing of that ... and attacked him mercilessly !

Generally speaking, we should be open and tolerant of views and interpretations of others that may differ from ours.

BREACH IN THE MESORAH
Sometimes, however, when we perceive a breach in the Mesorah of the interpretation of a passage in the Talmud and it is presented as fact, it is incumbent upon others to vocalize their dissent. This is particularly true when the misinterpretation has no substantive linguistic indication to that effect within the text.
The essay in question stated that Rabbi Elazar, of the first generation of Amoraim, was suffering from mental illness. The essay was penned by Rabbi Yitzchok Frankfurter, the editor of Ami Magazine, whom I generally consider a Talmid Chochom. Nonetheless, the particular essay (issue 237 entitled “A Look Inside Psych Wards”) struck this author as troubling.

THE GEMORAH IN BRACHOS
Rabbi Frankfurter based this assertion on a passage in Brachos 5b which states as follows:
Rabbi Elazar once became sick. Rabbi Yochanan came to visit him and saw that he was sleeping in a dark room. Whereupon Rabbi Yochanan uncovered his own arm and immediately the room grew light. Rabbi Yochanan then noticed that Rabbi Elazar was weeping. Rabbi Yochanan asked, “Why are you weeping? Is it because you have not learned Torah sufficiently? Behold we are taught, ‘No matter whether one offers much or little – only the intentions of one’s heart counts for the sake of Heaven.’ Is it because you are in need and poor? Not everyone receives a table in the world to come and a table here. Is it because of trouble from your children? Here is a bone from my tenth son. “I weep,” responded Rabbi Elazar for that beauty which will ultimately decay in the earth.” Rabbi Yochanan responded, “For that you really ought to weep.” Both wept together. Rabbi Yochanan then asked of him, “Do you love afflictions?” Rabbi Elazar answered, “Neither them nor their rewards.” “Then give me your hand.” Rabbi Elazar did so and was made well.

RABBI FRANKFURTER’S TWO ASSERTIONS
Rabbi Frankfurter writes, “It is clear that Rabbi Elazar was suffering on a psychological level from a pall of darkness enveloping his mind, rather than from physical disease.” He bases his interpretation on the fact that Rabbi Yochanan did not ask Rabbi Elazar if the reason he was crying was on account of poor health or physical pain. Rabbi Frankfurter then suggests that Rabbi Yochanan is engaging in “existential psychotherapy” in his discussion with Rabbi Elazar.

INJECTING SECULAR THINKING INTO TORAH TEXTS
There is an unfortunate tendency for people to, at times, get caught up in their mada studies, in their Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, and Rank philosophies, and then retro-inject them into various Gemorahs and Midrashim that they come across with forced readings. Existentialist psychotherapy is strictly an early 20th century phenomenon. Injecting this type of therapy into the interpretation of a Gemorah with no Meforshim backing it up is anachronistic.
The results are not just incorrect readings of Torah texts, but there are two other repercussions as well: There are grave methodological missteps where, for example, an early Amorah is labelled as someone who is mentally ill; and the traditions of the classical commentators on our texts are entirely ignored.

THE TRADITIONAL INTERPRETATIONS
This Gemorah has been amply and adequately interpreted throughout the generations.
The Ran understands this passage to mean that “in a dark room” means that Rabbi Elazar, Rabbi Yochanan’s student was destitute. Rabbi Yochanan opened his hand in generosity.
The Or HaChaim HaKadosh, the Nesivos, and the Malbim all interpret “sleeping in a dark room” as headed toward his ultimate demise which is called “a dark room.” Rabbi Yochanan was thus attempting to inspire Rabbi Elazar not to give up his will to live despite the sufferings of his illness.
Rabbi Avrohom Kara, a contemporary of Rabbi Akiva Eiger and author of the Ayil HaMeluim explains “in a dark room” to mean that Rabbi Elazar looked at Rabbi Yochanan in a slightly negative light in that Rabbi Yochanan was quite wealthy and it was thought by some that he did not distribute charity in the appropriate amounts. Rabbi Yochanan revealed his light means that he showed Rabbi Elazar his hidden acts of charity.
The Gedolei HaAchronim have given numerous interpretations throughout the centuries to this passage. Not one of them, however, suggested that Rabbi Elazar was suffering from mental illness.

THE SOURCES FOR THE AMI INTERPRETATION
In response to a query from a reader named B. Mann (issue 239) about what his sources were for the interpretation, Rabbi Frankfurter responded, “The most important source for the interpretation that Rabbi Elazar’s illness was of a psychological nature is the Gemorah in Brachos (5b) which I cited.”
Rabbi Frankfurter then juxtaposes a Mishna in Shabbos (29b) that discusses extinguishing a light on Shabbos because of a ruach rah, which the Rambam interprets as mental illness. He correlates the need to extinguish a light with the fact that Rabbi Elazar was in a darkened room. It is significant to note that no commentator correlates the Mishna in Shabbos with the Gemorah in Brachos. Also, Rashi provides an entirely different understanding of Ruach Rah which would entirely rule out any basis for correlating the two passages.
Rabbi Frankfurter’s “sources” for his interpretation are technically not true sources in the classical sense, rather they are inferences that Rabbi Frankfurter perceives within the text; namely that Rabbi Elazar was in a darkened room and the dialogue between the two Rabbis expressly underscoring the psychological aspect of his suffering. As we have seen, however, there are different interpretations of this idea.
The mental illness interpretation suggested in the Ami article, however, is not novel. Reform Rabbi Ruth Adar, suggested just such an interpretation last year in her blog. The point is that such interpretations are foreign to traditional Judaism. This is not a gratuitous attack. If the only fellow travelers on a path are Reform Rabbis when the topic was dealt with by our classical meforshim for centuries, then something is clearly wrong.
Ami Magazine has always stood at the forefront of defending Torah-true Judaism. This is an important mission, and ny and large they have met this mission suscessfully. The interpretation of this passage in a manner that stands in contrast to the Rishonim and Achaonim is a violation of what Ami Magazine stands for. In this author’s opinion Rabbi Frankfurter should retract the essay.

Yitzchok Frankfurter, the Purim Clown, publisher and editor of Ami Magazine,  interviewed the Former Foreign Minister of the State of Israel, Moshe Arens, and the interview is  featured in this week's edition of the Anti-Israel Ami Magazine.

Reading the questions, will make you want to puke, because of the clown's immature questions and blatant anti-Israel slant, .... so have a brown bag nearby!

I will start with one of the clown's last questions, just so you get the gist of his insane questions.

"You're practically one of the founding fathers of Israel. From a personal perspective, what is it like to watch your country still under the same threat today as when it was established?"

This is the "country" that the RBSH"O gifted to the Jewish people forever and forever, as Rashi points out in the very first pasuk in Bereishes..... but according to the Purim Clown, Eretz Yisroel is not "his" but "yours" ... reminds me of the Rasha's question in the Pesach Haggadah!

What is wrong with this imbecile? 
Only a guy living in Boro Park in those fancy "match-boxes" would ask if "Israel's problem is more diplomatic than military" ..
Only a guy who didn't experience grabbing his toddlers and running to the nearest shelter as Hamas rains down thousands of missiles, would ask such a stupid idiotic question!

NO! The primary problem for Israel is military in nature. First and foremost, a nuclear weapon in the hands of the Iranians, who make no bones about their intention to wipe Israel off the map. 
Nothing will take a backseat to that.

Do you think there's anything to the accusation that it's inappropriate to address Congress two weeks before the Israelis go to the polls? Some people are up in arms about that?

DIN:
The only people that feel that it's "inappropriate" and are "up in arms" against Netanyahu  addressing Congress "two weeks before the Israelis go the the polls" ..... are Satmar, Leftist self-hating Jews, Anti-Semites, Tzippy Livni, Herzog and the  Iranians...

What would you say if Netanyahu, knowing that an agreement was taking shape that posed a great danger to Israel, was given an opportunity to address Congress on this important subject and told the Speaker of the House, "I'm sorry, I'm busy with elections now. This is more important than the danger of a nuclear Iran." What would you say to that? What would Herzog and Livni say about it?

DIN:
Since the Clown is an anti-Israel Satmarer he is against Netanyahu addressing Congress because this will antagonize Hussein Obama, who together with Satmar hate Netanyahu, so like all the rest of the  anti-Semites, he keeps badgering Arens on this topic.................

Would you care to comment on the way the invitation was handled?
Do you think it was dealt with properly from a diplomatic perspective?

Moshe Arens:
As far as I know it would be almost disrespectful to the Speaker of the House, the number three person in the American political hierarchy, to refuse to accept his invitation or to start to interrogate him as to whether it was coordinated with everybody. An invitation was issued to the prime minister, and I think it would have been wrong on his part to refuse it. It would have also been wrong if instead of answering yes, he said he'd like to know a little more about it.

DIN: 
Gut Ge'zugt..... but the clown doesn't give up and keeps pestering him like an annoying  mosquito.

People know exactly where Netanyahu stands on this issue. He's even made his opinion known in the UN. What will he accomplish by restating it?

DIN:
And why does Satmar keep "restating" their anti-Jewish stance every single week in Der Yid, Dee Zeitung, and Der Blatt and in AMI?
How about the two Satmar rabbi gangsters, don't they bash Israel every single Shabbos in the Shaolosh Seudois "Toirelech?"

By the way, is the Clown referring to the same UN that the Late Mayor of New York Ed Koch said, should be converted into a parking lot?

Moshe Arens:
Things are not clear-cut at all. You might remember the sanctions that were imposed on Iran by the UN Security Council, which were then followed by the US Congress. I don't think I'm overstating it, but that was a direct result of Netanyahu's efforts to call world attention to the danger of a nuclear Iran. So he definitely has achievements to his credit. I'm sure you're also aware that there are differences of opinion on this agreement within the US. A very formidable group is coming forth and saying that is not a good agreement for America. [Public opinion] is now in the stages of being crystallized. Just imagine if Netanyahu had replied to the invitation by saying, "Everybody already knows my opinion. There's no point in my coming." I think that would be silly.

Eida Chareidie guy Supports Chareidim "integrating in Israeli Work Force" Contradicting Ami Magazine!

Why don't you interview R' Shmuel Pappenheim? Hmmmm?

Doesn't fit into the "Chareidie Philosophy" that you wrote about last week? 

 

Shmuel Pappenheim of the Eda Haredit ultra-Orthodox community, appeared in a campaign ad for none other than Yesh Atid, a party frequently denounced by Charedi hard-liners as iniquitous.

Pappenheim, who previously served as a spokesman for the anti-Zionist Eda Haredit communal organization, has in recent years advocated for moderation within the Charedi (ultra-Orthodox) community and for members of the Charedi public to integrate into the workforce and play a greater role in Israeli society.

This stance led to criticism against him, and he was disowned by the Eda Haredit.

Speaking in the Yesh Atid ad, Pappenheim highlighted the lack of basic education in the Charedi sector and advocated greater participation in the workforce.

“I think haredi Jews need to bring in an income, need to take care of their children,” he said in the ad. “You can find adults, 45 years old, they don’t even have a basic understanding of the ABC, it gets you stuck.”

Pappenheim continued by saying that the Charedi community has things to contribute to Israeli society and vice versa, adding that “all we need is the places to connect the two together a little bit.”

He did not explicitly endorse Yesh Atid and could not be reached for comment.

Yesh Atid MK Rabbi Dov Lipman, who comes from the US Charedi community, worked during the outgoing Knesset to increase employment opportunities for Charedi men.

He said the Knesset lobby for the integration of Charedim into the workforce, which he chaired, received 500 résumés every month from Charedi men looking to leave yeshiva and find work.

“In every single place where we've been campaigning, at least one Charedi man has come over to me and said that they’re fed up with the representatives from the Charedi parties, and that they will support Yesh Atid at the ballot box,” Lipman said.

Ami Magazine calls Vocational Colleges that solicit Chareidim "Morally repulsive"

The "morally repulsive,"  Frankfurter, publisher of the "Pro-Satmar Anti-Israel" Magazine, Ami, continues to make a fool of himself!

In this week's edition, The Frank, writes an editorial about his visit to the Jerusalem College of Technology's Machon Lev Institute, Israel's leading school of engineering for Modern men and women. 

The Institute was founded by the late Professor Zev Lev primarily for Hesder Talmidim. 

Machon Lev combines academic studies with Jewish learning and enrolls many Chareidim in separate campuses for men and women.

The Frank, interviewed the assistant to the President of the Mechon, Stuart Herskowitz, as he put it, to "ascertain whether Mechon Lev's goal was to teach a trade to those members of the chareidie community seeking a vocation to support themselves (a highly laudable undertaking), 
or to "meddle in the chareidi community's pedagogical philosophy and methods." 

 The Frank,  added the words, ("an ethically repugnant activity")  in parenthesis, for some reason ... 

So, The Frank, traveled 5,000 miles from his home to Israel to "ascertain" if a school that helps Chareidim with parnassa and gives them a trade, that helps them support their families .... 
is "meddling" with "Chareidie philosophy"!

And what, does The Frank, think is Chareidie philosophy?

DOING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! 

But he won't, G-d Forbid, come out and say it......
he masquerades his "do nothing philosophy" with a lot of sophisticated "word salad" to fool his readers into thinking that he advocates people training to have a trade!

To bolster his lie that he is all for Chassidim having a trade, he writes:
"It would be hard to find another Jewish periodical that publishes as many articles on the subject of business. We endeavor each week to assist our readers in overcoming their financial challenges and help them prosper."

DIN: 
It's true that The Frank, features every week business entrepreneurs,...... but what the clown won't tell you is that not everyone can start a business, and those that do, are a minority of a minority....very very few of them around.... 
and how many are successful? 
Ami doesn't feature those who started a business and failed.

Some need to go to school to learn a trade....Mr. Frankfurter!

He then rants and raves against learning a trade; but does his best to confuse his readers into thinking he is really for it, by quoting the halacha that requires learning a trade , which is  a Mishna in Mesactas Shabbos and is the final psak according to all Rishonim including the Rambam!

"Rav Meir famously said, "One should make sure to teach his son a trade that is clean and easy." 

And then, lest you think, that is The Frank's philosophy, he quickly switches, quoting the opposing view that is only designed for the very few, and  makes it the hallmark of his "editorial," saying that this is  Chareidie philosophy!

"By contrast, Rav Nehorai declared, "I forsake all professions in the world and teach my son only Torah"
