Israel’s cabinet voted Monday to dismiss Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, accusing her of political bias and obstruction.
She and PM Netanyahu did not attend the vote.
The move sparked immediate legal challenges, with petitions filed to the Supreme Court claiming the dismissal is illegal and threatens judicial independence.
The Court may freeze the decision pending review. While the dismissal passed in the cabinet, the decision will not take effect immediately.

And two minutes later, the Supreme Court annuled the decision. Yes, once again they overrode the elected government in the name of democracy.
