Regional defense outlets report that Russia’s Krasukha EW jammers are now on Iranian soil, calling it the first confirmed presence after years of rumor.
Krasukha is designed to blind AWACS/JSTARS radars, disrupt UAV links, and jam/spoof GPS, creating large “no-go” bubbles for surveillance aircraft and precision weapons—sources describe effective ranges on the order of hundreds of kilometers, depending on variant and conditions.
If fielded near the Gulf coast or around strategic nodes, it could complicate Israeli, Gulf, and CENTCOM air operations.
