When a child tragically drowns, they did not "pass away suddenly". They drowned. That should be written.
Why? Because while some accidents will always happen, others may be prevented by taking safety precautions.

Discussing any sort of tragedy can save lives. This would seem to be a great merit to the deceased
Agreed. Let’s discuss your personal struggles in public to bring merit to you
And can also lead to legal issues for the parents.
So ask that it not he publicised rather than lying. Family and friends will find out, the rest of us don't need to know.
