I don't have enough knowledge on this topic to have an opinion, but if those Chareidim have their "Dass Torah" that allow it ... then Kol Ha'kovod!
It's important to have a Jewish presence there so the world sees that we haven't abandoned it and that we hope to return in mass to the Har Habyis very soon!

There is a problem with using the Meiri or any other Rishon that was hidden for centuries in genizah - as far as psak halacha. For lomdus it's fine.

The Zohar might be different because it is Chazal, and even though it is on a lesser level than Shas
I think it's the Chazon Ish who writes somewhere what the problem is with Rishonim that were in genizah. From the teshuvos Geonim until the time of the Shulchan Aruch was the formulation of halacha until the Shulchan Aruch was the last word. The Chazon Ish says anything that disappeared during this process until later it's because it wasn't meant min Hashomayim to be used for psak. But for lomdus we should learn Meiri etc on Shas.

Torah is not in shomayim, Chazon Ish was holy but only very few pasken like him even though his Torah was not in genizah, and the shulchan aruch is not last word, your local rabbi is
I don't have the learning to "Pasken" on this...
the rabbonim all made a ban against yidden going har habayis for alot of reasons. another point is that the author seems totally fine with other people relying on their own rabbonim and not judging them it is absurd that when people are doing something radical like ripping off an israeli flag all of the sudden they get judged and they don't say that they have their rabbonim. just a slight hypocrisy.

Which rabbi is ok with burning the flag of a country where the majority of the Jewish people live in? Which rabbi during a time when Jewish blood is being spilled every single day advocates burning the very symbol that represents those martyred for the Jewish people?
