Over 30 Intelligent Alien Races Could be Living in our Galaxy

Guys.... I'm really in the wrong business......

Here I am, trying to make a couple of bucks waiting for a reader who wants to do "chesed" and clicks on one of my google ads .....
when I could be making millions getting a grant to make a study about alien's in space ... something that can never be proven.......

The study below calculates that there "at least 36 intelligent alien races" in our own galaxy, the "Milky Way."

Are they in quarantine...? Do they talk by davening?
Are they breaking the locks of the parks?
Are they black?, trans-gender?

Yesterday the media showed thousands of protestors in front of the Brooklyn Museum, in favor of .. get this... "black trans-genders Lives matter"....Tens of Thousands of people who I thought live "normal" lives with "normal" families were protesting to support men that want to dress like women......
I am not making this up....

Now  they want to boycott the creator of "Harry Potter" because she insists that a man is a man and a woman is a woman....
Here we have a lady, J.K. Rowling, who became a billionaire writing books to millions about a totally fictitious character with totally fictitious adventures ...; everyone loved her, loved getting into her characters that were really just a figment of her imagination ,,,,
so as long as she was writing lies..fiction... she was their hero; she sold over 500 million copies . ...books that do not contain one single word of truth... not one
but when she does say the truth, makes a statement of fact ... they want to destroy her!

Maybe just maybe the aliens have it right ......they decided to live "17,000 light-years away from earth..
as for me? it's still too close for comfort!

Dozens of intelligent alien races could be living alongside us in the Milky Way, a study has claimed.
The question of whether there are other life forms within our Universe has long preoccupied scientists.
Now researchers at the University of Nottingham have taken a new approach to estimating the number of possible extraterrestrial civilisations, using the assumption that intelligent life develops on other planets in a similar way as it does on Earth.
They calculate that our galaxy could harbour at least 36 intelligent alien races capable of sending radio signals into space.

But they say the average distance to such civilisations is likely to be 17,000 light-years, making detection and communication 'very difficult' with our present technology.
The team developed a new model to estimate the number of intelligent alien races in our galaxy, which they call the Astrobiological Copernican limit.
The model assumes that it takes around five billion years for intelligent life to form on other planets, as on Earth, and that these planets orbit a star with a high metal content just like the Sun.
This differs from traditional techniques, which rely on making guesses of values relating to life, where opinion varies substantially, according to the researchers.
Our new study simplifies these assumptions using new data, giving us a solid estimate of the number of civilisations in our galaxy,' first author Dr Tom Westby explained.
Christopher Conselice, Professor of Astrophysics at the University of Nottingham, who led the study, said there should be at least 'a few dozen' active civilisations in our galaxy.
'The idea is looking at evolution, but on a cosmic scale,' he said.
The research shows that the number of civilisations we may be able to detect depends on how long they have been actively sending out signals of their existence into space, such as radio transmissions from satellites or television.
If other technological civilisations have been around for as long as ours, which is currently 100 years, then there will be about 36 ongoing intelligent technical civilisations throughout our Galaxy.
Professor Conselice added that the research also offers important clues about human civilisation's own 'future and fate'.
'Our new research suggests that searches for extraterrestrial intelligent civilisations not only reveals the existence of how life forms, but also gives us clues for how long our civilisation will last,' he said.
'If we find that intelligent life is common then this would reveal that our civilisation could exist for much longer than a few hundred years.
'Alternatively, if we find that there are no active civilisations in our galaxy it is a bad sign for our own long-term existence.'
The study was published today in The Astrophysical Journal.

Al pi Hatorah it is impossible that any other intelligent life exists except on this planet. It is possible however for plant & animal life to exist elsewhere.

More important are they close enough so we can include them in our porch minyan?

I'm not even sure there is much intelligent life on earth

Hey Brisker,
one thing is guaranteed, there is no intelligent life in Brisk, came across a lot of Brisker's and let me tell ya,none of them were playing with a full deck

7:41 pm sounds like he's got a major inferiority complex that makes him lash out with fake superiority.

A "bit" jealous, eh?

So he insists that Brisk does not have the highest per capita rate of top lamdonim, LOL.

Where do the top yeshivaleit go then?

One thing that's for sure is they don't go to whatever yeshiva 7:41 parked his derriere in!

even the great Chazon Ish abhorred and made fun off the Brisker derech halimud, and considered much of it bitul torah,as a matter of fact even Rav Shach z'l had no use for them and he authored a small sefer where he laments and criticizes the fact that in some yeshivah's they spent a whole zman learning not more than 8-10 blatt spending their time on silly chakiras and splitting hairs on non sense.

Rav Schach was one of the biggest admirers of the Brisker Rov. He had a problem with R' Berel altering some of the Rov's m.o. and did not like whatsoever the even more cynical attitude of R' AJ

Give one example please where the Chazon Ish "abhorred" or "made fun" of "tzvay dinim". This sounds like some of the garbage that modern orthodox invent to knock Brisk in retaliation for Brisk being anti-Tzioni & for Brisk criticizing the cousin from YU.

Rav Schach's main criticism of learning too few blatt was primarily directed at Long Beach who are the worst in that regard. (He couldn't stomach Long Beach for many other reasons too. It's not like those heartless subhumans who are still covering up the murder of a young boy are normal - and Rav Schach knew it!). Telz is probably the next worse culprit for learning too few blatt. In Brisk they cover much ground when compared to the above.
