Mystery Unsolved about Paul Pelosi Attack ..Why Did NBC Retract Initial report and Why is the Reporter Missing ?

NBC News correspondent Miguel Almaguer still has not appeared on air since his Nov. 4 report was retracted without explanation after it suggested Paul Pelosi may not have been in immediate danger when police arrived the night he was assaulted in the San Francisco home he shares with his wife, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Almaguer, a Los Angeles-based correspondent, is typically a fixture on NBC’s "Today" and "NBC Nightly News," but was reportedly suspended when his stunning report was mysteriously retracted without explanation.

David DePape allegedly broke into Pelosi's San Francisco home around 2 a.m. Oct. 28, snuck into the master bedroom and found Paul Pelosi asleep. He is accused of demanding to know the House speaker’s whereabouts and threatening to break her kneecaps with a hammer – but she was in Washington, D.C., at the time.

Road Rage Murder Of Yuri Volkov, Caught Live On Camera, Stuns Israel

This is a huge problem in the heimishe communities too and it should be addressed in shuls!

The senseless murder of Yuri Volkov, a 52-year-old healthcare aide at Ichilov hospital, during a road rage incident caught live on camera Wednesday evening, has shocked Israel to the core. Volkov’s murderer, 22-year-old Adi Mizrachi, was apprehended by police Friday and confessed to the murder, which he said he “would be sorry for for the rest of my life.”

Volkov was stabbed to death in Holon on Wednesday evening after getting into an argument with a motorized scooter driver while crossing the road.

Holding a picture of her husband while her son hugged her, Lena Volkov, Yuri’s widow who had been with him at the time of the stabbing, described the incident.

Shaked’s Final Coup: Advancing Plan for 9,000 Housing Units in Northern Jerusalem

Near the end of her stint as Interior Minister in the Lapid government, Ayelet Shaked urged the District Committee for Planning and Construction of the Jerusalem District to speed up the approval process for the huge Atarot project, Israel Hayom reported on Sunday. This is a planned complex of some 9,000 housing units to be built at the location of Jerusalem’s Atarot airport.

The plan constitutes another de facto annexation of a section of Jerusalem that was liberated in June 1967, and as such will undoubtedly be met with international condemnations. Shaked had advanced the plan while in office and wished to give it a final push forward now that she is no longer accountable to Prime Minister Lapid.

The district committee was not especially delighted with the push and informed the outgoing minister that the area’s environmental review had not yet been completed, which meant that it was not legally possible to approve the plan now – please wait a few months.

So Shaked didn’t exactly go out with a bang, but her associates still told Israel Hayom that “even though it’s not possible to complete the planning of Atarot at the moment, Shaked promoted the plan to the limit during her shift. It is now up to the next government to complete it. This concerns Israel’s grip on northern Jerusalem, as well as a plan that will release tens of thousands of apartments into the capital’s heated real estate market.”

The Jerusalem International Airport in Atarot, located between Jerusalem and Ramallah, is no longer in use. When it was inaugurated, in 1924, it was the first airport in the British Mandate of Palestine. Israel annexed Atarot airport Israel in 1981, under the Jerusalem Law. Both Arkia and El Al operated daily commercial flights to and from the airport between 1967 and 2001 when it was closed to civilian traffic after the breakout of the Second Intifada in 2000.

The original Israeli media reports about the project spoke of 11,000 housing units in the Atarot industrial area. The numbers then dropped to 10,000, and now 9,000.

Binyamin Shafran who heads the Atarot project forum told Israel Hayom that “Shaked was infinitely loyal to construction in the city in general and Atarot in particular. I appreciate her for promoting the project and hope that the next Interior Minister, most likely Aryeh Deri, will continue the plan, which his representative in the municipality supports, and which the chief rabbi (the late Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, the spiritual leader of Shas – DI) wanted for commemorating his father there.”

Yoilie Roth Who was Responsible for Censoring The Post on Twitter Threatens Musk in Op-Ed in New York Slimes

News that Elon Musk brought his 2-year-old son — one of 10 children — into key meetings at Twitter headquarters, after taking over the social media company in the fall, might make it less of a mystery to lefties why his “Priority #1” has been to banish child sexual exploitation material.

Not that you need to be a parent to abhor child pornography, but for some reason the vile content effectively was given a free pass at Twitter before Musk arrived, so clearly not everyone in the company respected society’s last taboo.

But, instead of applauding Twitter’s dedication to child safety and attack on degeneracy, leftist media has been decrying Musk’s attempts to restore free speech protections as if they are a threat to civilization.

They are hopping mad that Musk is demolishing the left-wing censorship regime that saw a sitting president de-platformed, satirical site The Babylon Bee banned and the oldest newspaper in the country locked out of its account for two weeks before the 2020 election.

Censorship hypocrisy

Lamenting the explosion of free speech under Musk, Yoel Roth, the former head of “Trust and Safety” who was responsible for censoring The Post, delivered an implied threat to his former employer in an op-ed piece in The New York Times.

Woke City Council Set to Prohibit Criminal Background Checks for Tenants

The New York City Council is preparing to vote on a bill which would make it illegal for landlords to conduct criminal background checks on prospective tenants – even convicted murderers.

According to the NY Post, the woke council is likely to pass the radical piece of legislation. At least 30 of 51 members have agreed to support the “Fair Chance for Housing Act,” which is scheduled to have its first hearing on Dec. 8.

And Mayor Eric Adams appears more than willing to sign it into law, should the bill pass, in the name of equality.

“No one should be denied housing because they were once engaged with the criminal justice system, plain and simple,” Adams’ spokesman Charles Lutvack told the paper. (It appears that the phrase “engaged with the criminal justice system” is another way of saying ‘convicted of murder and other violent crimes’.)

Jewish Brooklyn Councilwoman Inna Vernikov, one of the lone voices of reason in the leftist council, posted a video calling on New Yorkers to demand their local representatives reject the bill because “the safety of your families … is at stake.”

Prime Ministers of the Book .....Israel’s three most significant leaders were also dedicated readers

With Bibi Netanyahu’s forthcoming ascension to the Israeli premiership for the third time, it is clear that he now ranks, along with founding Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion and the first Likud prime minister, Menachem Begin, as one of Israel’s three most important and influential prime ministers to date.

Since 40% of Israelis between the ages of 16 and 65 read at least one book a week, it may not be accidental that, in addition to their enormous roles in shaping the modern state of Israel, all three men shared a prodigious, perhaps even obsessive, love of books.

Ben-Gurion was the first and perhaps the most creative reader. His library had books in multiple languages, and he had a well-cultivated appetite to read books in the original language. As far back as 1922, Ben-Gurion had a library of 775 books, in English, German, Hebrew, French, Arabic, Latin, Russian, Turkish, and Greek. He even worked on Spanish so that he could read a book on Spinoza in Spanish, a project he undertook with his friend Yitzhak Navon, Israel’s fifth president. The two men apparently enjoyed the project so much that they then took up the reading of Cervantes’ Don Quixote together in Spanish as well.

Nor was Ben-Gurion’s appetite for reading books in their original languages limited to Spanish. Ben-Gurion also worked with Navon on reading Rambam’s Moreh Nevukhim (Guide to the Perplexed) in Arabic with Hebrew characters, which is how Maimonides wrote it. The Hebrew characters were easy for him: He started a Zionist Hebrew speaking club at age 13 in his native Poland. The Arabic vocabulary, however, required extra effort.

Ben-Gurion was reluctant to have television permitted in the early days of the state because, he believed, “Jews should continue to read books.” Fortunately for fans of Fauda and other popular Israeli TV shows, Ben-Gurion did not get his way.

How a Tehilim saved Jerusalem bombing victim's life

A 62-year old man who was seriously injured in the Wednesday, November 23rd bombings in Jerusalem reported to his doctors and guests at Shaare Zedek Medical Center that his life had been saved in part due to the Tehillim (Psalms) book which was in his pocket when the explosion occurred.

On Wednesday morning, the man was travelling from his Jerusalem home to Meron in northern Israel, when he was struck by the force of the explosion.

While he was injured by the blast and several fragments of shrapnel from the bomb, he later discovered that one potentially lethal fragment had penetrated the rear cover of the book of Tehilim he was carrying.

The fragment made its way all the way through the pages of the book before coming to a full stop at verse 7 of Chapter 124. The verse reads Nafsheinu K’Tzipor Nimlata MiPach Yokshim: Hapach Nishbar, V’Anachnu Nimlatnu “Our soul has escaped like a bird evading the grasp of its captors. The grasp is broken and we have escaped.”

After several procedures to remove other fragments that had entered his extremities, the man is now recovering. While requesting to remain anonymous, he asked that the message be shared of his remarkable story of the Tehillim book saying, “This is what helps.”
