Jewish Families Return to Northern Samaria 21 Years After Disengagement

 

Thirty Jewish families  have moved permanently to the site of Ganim, one of four northern Samaria communities evacuated and demolished under Israel's 2005 Disengagement Plan. 

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich hailed the return as a historic correction, declaring, “We are erasing the disgrace of the expulsion and strengthening Judea and Samaria.” 

The move comes days after 22 families established the new Emek Dotan community nearby.
