The Squad Anti-semites... AOC, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley cruise to re-election

The Squad - four Democratic women who have been frequently targeted for criticism by President Trump and his supporters for their progressive positions - crushed their Republican opponents on Tuesday and cruised to re-election.

House Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley received a fresh, two-year mandate from their voters on Tuesday.

AOC, 31, who has emerged as the face of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party, easily maintained her 14th congressional district seat.

Omar, 38, the first American of Somali origin to be elected to Congress, easily defeated well-funded GOP challenger Lacy Johnson in the district that includes Minneapolis.

Her victory in the race for the 5th congressional district was all but assured after she survived a primary challenge this summer from Antone Melton-Meaux.

Tlaib, 44, is expected to handily defeat her Republican opponent, David Dudenhoefer, for Michigan's 13th congressional district seat, which encompasses parts of Detroit.

She is the first woman of Palestinian descent to be elected to Congress.

Pressley, 46, who in 2018 became the first woman of color from Massachusetts to be elected to Congress, defeated independent candidate Roy Owens.

Pressley keeps her seat representing Massachusetts 7th congressional district, which encompasses much of Boston as well as some of its surrounding suburbs.

'Our sisterhood is resilient,' Omar tweeted late on Tuesday.

Her tweet included images of all four members of the 'Squad' congratulating them for their victory.

After she was declared the winner, Omar tweeted: 'We are building a movement that sees my struggle as inherently tied to your struggle, and sees a world where all workers can be uplifted.

'Together. Today's vote - the results of this election - are not the end. This is just the beginning.'

AOC tweeted: 'Serving NY-14 and fighting for working class families in Congress has been the greatest honor, privilege, & responsibility of my life.'

'Thank you to the Bronx & Queens for re-electing me to the House despite the millions spent against us, & trusting me to represent you once more.'

Pressley tweeted: 'Together, we have fought for our shared humanity. We have organized. We have mobilized. We have legislated our values.

'I am so proud to be your Congresswoman & your partner in the work.

'I believe in the power of us. And we're just getting started.'

Ocasio-Cortez has become one of the most well-known voices of the American left in her first term.

She was a lead sponsor of the Green New Deal, a proposal to have the federal government mobilize a massive effort to wean the nation from fossil fuels and invest in zero-emission transportation.

She's agitated with members of her own party to support universal health care, a higher minimum wage, cancellation of student debt and abolition of immigration enforcement.

Ocasio-Cortez has also become a target of constant criticism from the right, demonized frequently by conservative talk show hosts as the socialist future of the Democratic Party.
