The Jewish state aspires to establish a “Greater Israel” stretching from the Nile to the Euphrates, and will eventually demand lands in Medina and other regions of the Arabian peninsula, according to Palestinian Islamic scholar Omar Fora.

Speaking with the Palestinian Islamic Jihad-affiliated Al-Quds Al-Youm television on Aug. 19, Fora warned that Israel “does not endanger the Palestinian people alone.”

Israel, he said, refused to open its embassy east of the Nile River because it considers all the land from the eastern bank of the Nile to the Euphrates River to be part of the biblical land of Israel.

“Therefore,” said Fora, “it established its embassy west of the Nile, because it considers the land west of the Nile to be outside its territory.”

“Israel is not about to achieve these Zionist or biblical ambitions now,” said Fora, “but Israel wants to establish ‘Greater Israel.’”

“By Allah,” he went on to say, “the day will come when Israel demands lands in Medina, the lands of [the Jewish tribes of] Qurayza, Nadhir and Banu Qaynuda, as well as the lands of Khaybar.”

This, he said, was the true goal of the Zionist movement.

Fora emphasized that he had no issue with Judaism, only with Zionism, but said that not all Jews would have the right to live in a Palestinian state.

“The only Jews that have a right to live with us in Palestine, under our patronage and our authority, are those who have been living in Palestine,” he said. “But the Ashkenazi Jews, who came from overseas, from Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Poland, and settled in this land—they should go back to where they came from.”

Fora clarified that this would not apply to Mizrachi Jews, who he said “would have the same rights and obligations that we have.”

“They would live with us, just like they live in Morocco, under the authority of the Kingdom of Morocco, they would live with us in Palestine.”

With both the mayor and the governor taking a tough stance on weddings that exceed the 50 person limit on indoor gatherings, City Councilman Kalman Yeger has responded in kind, calling on catering halls to lock their doors to keep law enforcement out.

Speaking on the Talkline radio program Saturday night, Yeger spared no words as he described how the city’s sheriff’s department has sent out uniformed officers in cars with lights and sirens and has stopped motorists on bridges, asking them where they are coming from and where they are headed.

“They are just so happy to send heavily armed militia forces into our neighborhoods because they are afraid of the size of our wedding parties,” said Yeger.

With the city facing a $9 billion deficit, Yeger wondered aloud if perhaps government resources could be better allocated elsewhere.

“I’m telling anybody who asks me, if you see them approaching a wedding hall, lock the doors,” advised Yeger. “Don’t let them in.”

The New York Post (https://bit.ly/32JipYa) pinpointed three weddings that took place in Borough Park on August 24th, estimating that each one had as many as 200 guests. The wedding manager at one hall said that the affair complied with state law because guests were divided into groups of 50, with security workers on hand to enforce social distancing.

Two days later, a spokesperson for the mayor’s office said that it planned to issue two violations to an unnamed catering hall in Borough Park, with fines totaling $2,000 for violations on gathering limits and serving food without a license.

“The state-mandated gathering limits are clear,” said mayoral spokesperson Mitch Schwartz. “If some businesses have the wrong idea, we’ll take action, first by educating and urging compliance, and then by issuing summonses if necessary. We’re not going to let COVID-19 surge again.”

Vatican Hid Holocaust Orphans From Their Families And Urged Pope Pius Xii Not To Protest Deportations

The Vatican both fought efforts efforts to reunite two Holocaust orphans with their relatives and urged Pope Pius XII not to protest the Nazi deportation of Italian Jews, Brown University historian David I. Kertzer has found.

Kertzer published the results of his investigation into Vatican documents unsealed in March in an article published by The Atlantic on Thursday.

He revisited the high profile story of Jewish twins Robert and Gérald Finaly, who were kidnapped and baptized by French Catholic priests. 

Angelo Dell’Acqua, a Vatican Secretariat of State official who later became the cardinal for Rome, played a key role in the smuggling of the Finaly twins from France to Spain.

That happened after French judges ordered the boys, who were hidden from the Nazis at a Catholic monastery, be handed over to their aunt. That finally happened in 1953, and the twins now live in Israel.

Pius XII has long been accused of turning a blind eye to the Holocaust, which happened early on in his stint of nearly 20 years as pope, until his death in 1958.

Kertzer’s findings add to this widely-accepted impression. They include a memorandum advising Pius against formally protesting the rounding up of about 1,000 Jews in Rome in 1943 for deportation to Auschwitz.

Dell’Acqua advised Pius XII to speak privately with a German ambassador about the roundup in a talk “recommending to him that the already grave situation of the Jews not be aggravated further,” Kertzer found. But he asked the pope not to protest the move publicly.

Kamala Harris Pandering to Dumb Naive Jews: "If elected, we’ll bring back the Iran nuclear deal"

If elected, a Biden-Harris administration would seek to “strengthen” President Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran, the Democratic Party’s vice presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, said Wednesday.

She made her comments at a fundraiser billed as a “Virtual Conversation with the American Jewish Community with Senator Kamala Harris and Doug Emhoff.” Emhoff, who is married to Harris, was introduced by Florida congressman Ted Deutch as the “next Jewish mensch," even though his children are Christian. 

“Our Jewish engagement team is fighting for every Jewish vote in every swing state,” Deutch said, according to a pool report by Daniel Strauss, a reporter for the Guardian newspaper. Strauss pandering to naive Jews, included Hebrew lettering for the word “mishpacha,” or family, in the pool report distributed by the campaign to national political reporters.

Emhoff who married two shiksas, one after another, told the group, “A Biden-Harris administration will stand strong against anti-Semitism. Period.”

She defended the disastrous nuclear deal.

 “Joe Biden actually took historic steps as vice president to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon. The Obama-Biden administration imposed what were described as crippling multilateral sanctions which brought Iran to negotiations which paved the way for the JCPOA and prevented a nuclear armed Iran,” she said. Harris didn't talk about the billions of dollars in cash that Obama quietly slipped to the Iranian murderers. That money went to terrorists according to the pentagon.

Lying thru her camel teeth, Harris continued babbling  to the Jewish dummies:

“That nuclear deal, as we all know, blocked Iran’s pathways to a nuclear weapon and it was working as was verified by international inspectors and the U.S. intelligence community. But Donald Trump withdrew from it and he withdrew from it promising a better deal and a cowed Iran but instead Iran is revving up its nuclear activity and becoming more provocative.”

Whether the deal was “working” is also contentious, as critics said Iran was using the money from sanctions relief to make trouble regionally and advance its missile program. 

Harris said that if elected, “Our administration will hold Iran’s government accountable and rejoin a diplomatic agreement . And we will work with our allies, of course, to strengthen the Iran deal and push back Iran’s other destabilizing actions.”

Speakers at the Republican convention have touted the scrapping of the Iran deal and the moving of the American Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem as two of President Trump’s key foreign policy achievements. There are substantial numbers of Jewish voters in Florida and Pennsylvania, two battleground swing states in 2020. These foreign policy issues are also significant for many evangelical Christian voters.

Israel's shekel hits nine-year record high against dollar

The Israeli shekel hit a nine-year record high against the dollar on Thursday, set at NIS 3.369 for $1.

The rate is the lowest for the dollar since June 2011, when the exchange rate for 1 dollar was set at 3.363.

This record is not only because the shekel is getting stronger, but more because the dollar has been weakening worldwide against the major currencies over the past few months as the US Fed prints money to cope with the coronavirus crisis.

"The jump of the shekel against the dollar strengthens the purchasing power of Israeli citizens, as their salaries are paid in shekel," said Gad Lior, senior analyst for Ynet.

According to Globes, the large number of Israelis who are normally travelling abroad in the summer and stayed at home in Israel this year because of the corona crisis and the travel restrictions is one of the main reasons why the shekel became so strong.

Prico Risk Management and Investments CEO Yossi Fraiman noted that "The Bank of Israel has recently been purchasing foreign currency to halt the appreciation of the shekel beneath NIS 3.40/$. The Bank of Israel was forced to buy billions of dollars and push up its foreign currency reserves to $157 billion. The Bank of Israel has decided to temporarily halt its intervention measures and to allow the dollar free movement and the dollar has dived sharply."

"The halt in the Bank of Israel's intervention in foreign currency trading could open the way for the shekel to appreciate to its historical low (but strong) level of NIS 3.20/$ in 2008," continued Fraiman.

Ex NBA Star Amar’e Stoudemire Completes His Conversion to Judaism

Amar’e Stoudemire has officially finished his conversion to Judaism.

The former NBA star, who received Israeli citizenship in March 2019 while playing professional basketball there, announced Wednesday in a post on Instagram that his conversion to Judaism was complete.

Stoudemire said in the post that he had his final meeting with the beit din, or rabbinical court, and visited the mikvah, or ritual bath.

He said that his Hebrew name would be Yahoshafat Ben Avraham.

He announced more than two years ago that he was in the process of converting to Judaism.

Stoudemire identifies with the Hebrew Israelites, African-Americans who believe they are connected to the biblical Israelites, and observes Jewish holidays.

The 6-10 forward played for the New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns among other teams in a 16-year NBA career, during which he was named Rookie of the Year and made six All-Star teams. He also played for Hapoel Jerusalem from 2016 to 2019 and remains a part owner of the Israeli team.

In January, after playing three months for the Fujian Sturgeons in the Chinese Basketball Association, he signed with Maccabi Tel Aviv of the Israel Basketball League. He was named Most Valuable Player of its championship game.

Trump threw so many punches at his opponent that, had it been a real heavyweight boxing match, the referee would have stopped it in the middle rounds out of mercy.

Some samples: “This election will decide whether we save the American Dream, or whether we allow a socialist agenda to demolish our cherished destiny.”

Then later: “How can the Democrat Party ask to lead our country when it spends so much time tearing down our country?”

After saying Biden had buckled to the demands of the socialists in his party, Trump asked: “If he can’t stand up to them, how is he going to stand up for you.”

 American Jewish rabbis are erring by endorsing — and opposing — President Donald Trump, according to Jonathan Sacks, the former chief rabbi of Great Britain who said he has always studiously avoided showing an affinity for any particular candidate.

In a Jewish Telegraphic Agency interview, Sacks, who was chief rabbi from 1991 to 2013, said that even as he grew close and provided advice to political leaders of many stripes, he never endorsed any or allowed rabbis under his supervision to engage in political advocacy or electioneering.

“I can see that that is not the case in America. And I’m afraid American Jewry is making a big, big, big mistake,” Sacks said. “This is not a small thing. It’s a very, very big thing.”

Sacks made the comments in response to a question about Shmuel Kamenetsky, an influential haredi Orthodox rabbi who recently said that Jews should vote to reelect Trump out of gratitude. Another Orthodox rabbi, Aryeh Spero, blessed Trump and his reelection campaign this week at the Republican National Convention.

On the left, rabbis frequently wade into partisan political issues and even argue for specific political candidates in their personal capacity. (U.S. nonprofits, including houses of worship, face penalties if they engage in prohibited political activity as organizations.)

The consequence of blurring the line between politics and Judaism can be significant, Sacks said.

“You mix religion and politics, you get terrible politics and even worse religion,” he said, adding later, “I’m afraid I have absolutely not the slightest shred of sympathy for anyone who, as a rabbi, tells people how to vote.”

Woman Badly Assaulted In Heart Of Williamsburg Hasidic Community

The NYPD is asking the public’s assistance identifying the following individual depicted in the attached surveillance video and photo regarding an assault that occurred in Willliamsburg.

The NYPD tells YWN that at round 6:00AM on Tuesday, August 25th, a 46-year-old female victim was walking at the southwest corner of Division Avenue and Rodney Street, when an unknown individual approached from behind, picked up the victim and slammed her onto the sidewalk. The individual knelt beside her and repeatedly punched the victim in the face and body. The individual attempted to take the victim’s pants off as she was dazed laying on the sidewalk, before fleeing the scene on foot on Division Avenue towards Keap Street. The victim sustained severe head and body trauma, EMS responded to the location and transported her to Brooklyn Hospital were she is in a medically induced coma.

The suspect is described as an adult male, light complexion, with a full beard. He was last seen wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and red sneakers.

Rabbi Shai Ohayon, 39, Father of 4 Murdered by an Arab Barbarian

The victim of the stabbing attack at Segula Junction in Petah Tikva Wednesday was identified as Rabbi Shai Ohayon, a member of the Breslov hasidic movement and father of four. He was 39 years old.

David Yosef Mugrabi, a close friend of Rabbi Ohayon, told Channel 13 News: 

"The family cannot believe it. It doesn't compute. His mother, an elderly woman and a widow, would be willing to give her life for his. Many people from his community, where he was their rabbi, cannot accept or compute this. He was incapable of harming another person."

Mugrabi added, "We met 11 years ago when I was looking for a place to study. He was holy during his life and he is holy even now. He studied with dedication he first earned a degree as a rabbi ... and moved on to become a city rabbi at 39 with a young wife and four children."

The terrorist, a Palestinian Authority savage a resident from the Shechem (Nabulus) area working in Israel, was apprehended by officers at the scene.

Police have transferred him to the Shin Bet internal security agency for interrogation.

An eyewitness, Urel Torati, told Channel 13 that the terrorist stabbed the victim five to six times with large knife.

"I was driving in my car when suddenly I saw a knife, like a butcher knife. [The terrorist] drove it in maybe five or six times into the victim's body. I saw lots of blood. We stopped the car quickly and suddenly as we saw the stabber with the knife, people ran back to their cars and tried to hit him."

"The wounded man was lying on the sidewalk unconscious, suffering from bleeding wounds on his torso," said MDA paramedics Ilan Mualem and Hezi Gutman.

 "We immediately began to provide life-saving medical treatment including bandaging the wounds, stopping the bleeding, and advanced resuscitating techniques. We then quickly took him into the mobile intensive care unit and evacuated him to the hospital in critical condition, while continuing to attempt to resuscitate him."

Yurzeit of the Zera Shimshon

 Rabbi Shimshon Chaim ben  Nachman Michael Nachmani, served as rabbi for four large communities throughout Italy. Rabbi Shimshon Chaim  was 'Niftar' in the year 1779 on the 6th of Ellul, in the city of Reggio in Italy. 

 Outstanding rabbanic figures like the 'Chida' (Rabbi Haim Yosef David Azulai ben Rabbi Rephael Yitzhak Zerachia) spoke very highly of him. Rabbi Shimshon Chaim lived during the lifetime of  'Or ha-Ḥayyim' 'Hakadosh' (Rabbi Chaim ben Atar ben Rabbi Moshe) and were friends.

Rabbi Shimshon Chaim had only one child, a son, who died at a young age. Upon his death Rabbi Shimshon Chaim decided to dedicate his 'Sefarim' in his memory.

 In the preface of his book Rabbi Shimshon Chaim wrote that he needs to leave some memory in this world because he didn't have any other children to continue the family legacy so he wrote: "Zera Shimshon", meaning "Shimshon's Seed." Rabbi Shimshon Chaim published the book one year before he died.

Rabbi Shimshon Chaim made tremendous efforts that people should learn from his ''Sefarim''. Rabbi Shimshon Chaim also emphasized, that after his 'Neshama',  leaves this world, people should continue to learn from his ''Sefarim''. 

What is most unusual for a Tzadik of this stature, was that he made a promise. 

That promise is that anyone that takes upon himself to learn from his writings, will merit to have  "children, praise, health, 'Parnasa', wealth, and honor".

Families Dig up their Dead Relatives to Put Fresh Clothes on Them, Have a Hug... and Even Share a Cigarette

This gives "Techiyas Ha'Meisim"  a whole new meaning.

I see they give the guy a cigarette... why not? what is he go to die from?

They encourage visitors to visit and take part ... No thanks...I'll pass. .... (was that a pun? I hope not) 

When loved ones die families keep their bodies for months, sometimes years, in their own homes or in  a 'Tongkonan' which is a specific building designed to house the dead.

While families mourn, prepare for burials and save for the funeral they often interact with the bodies as if they were alive by talking to them and including them in family meals. 

The Torjan community consider death to be the most important aspect of life and often get into crippling debt from paying for funerals.  

The annual visit to their loved ones is considered a second funeral where they also clean or replace coffins to prevent the bodies from decomposing. 

After relatives have spent time with the dead and re-dressed their bodies and coffins they are usually reinterred with gifts in their ornate, colourful coffins.   

Head of the Torajan branch of AMAN Eric Crystal Rante Allo last year told The Sydney Morning Herald while it might seem strange to outsiders, it is a key part of the culture. 

'Toraja people believe the spirit of the dead lives among us, the living, looking out for us, blessing us,' he said.

'That's why, before the ritual of the burial is performed, they are called to'makula, or just sick, not yet dead. Toraja's people highly respect their dead.'

Visitors are welcome to visit the area during the ritual month of August and are encouraged to take part in the festivities.
