Steven Hill passes away at 94

Image result for steven hill  Image result for steven hill
Shlomo (Steven) Hill, (b. 1922), legendary actor, prominent advocate for Yiddishkeit and beloved father and grandfather, passed away today in Monsey, NY. His impassioned speaking, sage advice and, general example of profound Emunah and Bitachon inspired thousands.

At the height of his acting career, Hill opted to become a practicing Orthodox Jew. This decision entailed enormous Mesiras Nefesh, due to his unwavering commitment of basic Halachic requirements, which often conflicted with the demands of the acting world. Yet, under the influence of the Skver Rebbe, R’ Yaakov Yoseph Twersky (1990 – 1968), he persevered, often refusing major roles and the accompanying allure of wealth and fame.

Despite his determined allegiance to Torah, he still managed to carve out a long and prestigious career on stage and screen.

In later years he would remark that he delighted in his acting much more after becoming frum since it was no longer the essence of his identity but simply a career which he enjoyed.

A series of events led Hill in the 50s and early 60s to a fateful trip to New Square, where the hakafos of the Rebbe Z”L and the friendship of the community culminated in his life’s devotion to Torah.

His determined faith and trust in the Ribbono Shel Olam will forever serve those who knew him as a source of strength and inspiration.

The Levaya will be held today (Tuesday) at 2:00PM at K’hal Sharei Tefillah (Rav Schlessinger Shul) located at 7 Nelson Road in Monsey, NY.

Israeli Researchers Find Skin Cancer ‘Breakthrough

Image result for israel medicine inventions
Researchers have discovered how Melanoma spreads through the body, a “breakthrough” they hope will lead to cancer becoming nonthreatening and easily curable, according to a new Tel Aviv University study done in cooperation with the German Cancer Research (DKFZ).
Melanoma is an aggressive cancer that kills one person every 52 minutes, according to the international Skin Cancer Foundation.
The study, which looked at the spread of Melanoma, was published in a Nature Cell Biology article.
Scientists found that before spreading, Melanoma tumors send out small vesicles with molecules that trigger structural changes in the skin that prepare it for receiving cancer cells, and transporting them further. The scientists also found chemical substances that can stop the process, which raises hope that cancer-treating drugs could be developed.
“The threat of Melanoma is not in the initial tumor that appears on the skin, but rather in its metastasis, cancer cells sent off to colonize in vital organs like the brain, lungs, liver and bones,” Dr. Carmit Levy, the lead researcher at the human molecular genetics and biochemistry department of TAU’s Sackler School of Medicine, told the Jerusalem Post.
Researchers are discovering how the cancer spreads to distant organs and found ways to halt the process before it metastasized, Levy said.
“Our study is an important step on the road to a full remedy for the deadliest skin cancer. We hope that our findings will help turn Melanoma into a nonthreatening, easily curable disease,” she added

Hillary sick like a dog?

Hillary Clinton's Health
Continuing with the narrative that Hillary Clinton is unfit to be president, Rudy Giuliani, an adviser with Donald Trump's campaign, claimed Sunday there are videos online that show Clinton has an illness.
Giuliani said on "Fox News Sunday" that Clinton has "an entire media that constantly demonizes Donald Trump."

The former New York City mayor went on to say the media fail to point out how she has not held a news conference in over 200 days and her "several signs of illness."
The media "fails to point out several signs of illness by her; all you gotta do is go online," Giuliani said, before being interrupted by host Shannon Bream, who pointed out that Clinton's campaign has said there is no factual evidence to support those claims.
"Go online and put down 'Hillary Clinton illness,' take a look at the videos yourself," Giuliani continued.
Giuliani's comments are the latest from the Trump campaign questioning Clinton's stamina and health. Last week, Trump told Sean Hannity of Fox News that Clinton "doesn't really do that much. She'll give a speech on a teleprompter, and then she'll disappear. I don't know if she goes home [and] goes to sleep. I think she sleeps.”

Yocheved Hanna Gottleib, 66, tragically collapses and dies 24 hours before her son was to marry.

The Chassan Eulogizing his mother
24 hours before her son's wedding, Yocheved Hanna Gottleib, a member of the Gerrer Chassidic community in Jerusalem, went into cardiac arrest, collapsed and died. She was 66.

Family members said that while she was struggling for her life last night (Saturday), a Rabbi who was consulted by the family said that the wedding ceremony should be held as soon as possible. Tragically, the mother passed away while final preparations were being made to hastily conduct the wedding.

The late Gottleib was a well-known figure in the Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem, where she lived. She ran a clothing store in the Geula section of downtown Jerusalem for many years.

Her funeral will take place today (Sunday), leaving from her home in Har Nof.

Ami: "Eretz Yisroel not important"

AMI ANTI ISRAEL!
Yitzy (the clown) Franfurter, editor Ami Magazine
The clown, Yitzy Frankfurter never ceases to amaze me. In an "editorial" in last week's Ami, (a magazine catering to women), titled "Consolation," Yitzy the "drei kup" makes up a reason for his lady audience why Moshe Rabbeinu  wasn't allowed to enter Eretz Yisroel:
"Hakadosh Baruch Hu sent a message that the Torah is at the center of Yiddishkeit and not Eretz Yisrael."

Chazal and practically all Rishonim are climbing walls to find an answer why Hashem prohibited Moshe to enter the Holy land. Moshe Rabbeinu himself postulates that  it's because of Klall Yisroel stating in Parshas Ve'eschanan: "Vyisaber Hashem bee Le'Manchem" "Hashem refused me entry in the Holy land because of YOU!",...
and the Orach Chayim in this week's parsha writes that at the end of the day ...."we really don't know" ...
So nobody knows why .....
but Yitzy the Clown,  knows ...
He reasons that " Torah is far more central to Jewish life than than any geographical location"
So now Eretz Yisroel according to his warped logic is only a "geographical location"
The Arabs don't think it's just "any geographical location" and the Christians don't think it's just "any geographical location" and our Holy Torah doesn't think that Eretz Yisrael is just a  "geographical location".....but the Frank, with his scraggly beard ... thinks so...

Now don't get me wrong, I think that Torah is of paramount importance; without Torah we are like all other nations.
But why can't Torah and Eretz Yisroel be on par? .....

The Gemarrah says that anyone walking 4 amos in Eretz Yisroel gets all "his sins forgiven." The Gemarrah doesn't say that about learning Torah, you can learn Torah and be a rasha me'rusha." You can learn Torah and still go to hell!

Yitzy, a Satmar tuchisleker, constantly tries to throw in the bizarre Satmar ideology whenever he can...
He even quotes the Rambam's Moreh Nevuchim,(a sefer that according to Chareidim should not even be read) to bolster his idiotic twisted undermining of the Mitzvah of Yishuv Eretz Yisrael.
and writes " yishuv Eretz Yisrael is just one of the Torah's commandments and is not the focal point of Judaism."

The fact that we see open miracles; the fulfillment of every single prophecy, the "in-gathering of the exiles" and we are seeing that the majority of Jews  now live in Israel ...those facts are totally ignored by this stand up comic. The Baalei Mussar write "Letzana achas doiche meh toichacois" One Joke can destroy 100 lectures of Mussar ... Yitzy just did that with his "editorial"

Let's see how the Chazal viewed "Yishuv Eretz Yisroel"
Bava Kamma 80b

We learned in friday's Daf (Bava Kamma 80b) that one may instruct  a gentile to sign a contract on Shabbos, on the Jew's behalf  to buy property in Israel.
Normally when we deal with  any other "melacha" on shabbos we cannot instruct a non-Jew to do the "melacha" because of the prohibition of "amira le'akum."
But when it comes to buying property in Israel from a non-Jew, Chazal did away with "shvus"  meaning doing away with all Shabbos related Rabbinic decrees because of the great importance of "Yishuv Eretz Yisrael."

Kesubois daf 110b
The Gemmarah in tractate Kesubois (Daf 110b) goes a step further and says that one living in Eretz Yisrael is as if he was "living with a G-D" and one who lives in Chutz Le'aaretz, is as if he was worshipping idols and is living "without a G-D" ..!

Now see for yourself what the Ramban states in his Sefer Ha'Mitzvos:

Sefer Hamitzvos ... Ramban in Mitzvah 4 ... besides settling the Land we are
commanded for conquest & redeem the Land in all generations even under the jurisdiction of other nations i.e. exile ...

"That we are commanded to take possession of the Land which the Almighty, Blessed Be He, gave to our forefathers, to Avraham, to Yitzhak, and to Yaacov; and not to abandon it to other nations, or to leave it desolate, as He said to them, You shall dispossess the inhabitants of the Land and dwell in it, for I have given the Land to you to posses it, (Numbers, 33:53) and he said, further, To Inherit the Land which I swore to your forefathers, (to give them,) behold, we are commanded with the conquest of the land in every generation."

Huma Abedin worked at a radical Muslim journal for 10 years

Hillary Clinton’s top campaign aide, and the woman who might be the future White House chief of staff to the first female US president, for a decade edited a radical Muslim publication that opposed women’s rights and blamed the US for 9/11.
Huma Abedin published articles in a Saudi journal taking Clinton’s feminist platform apart, piece by piece. At the time, Abedin was assistant editor of the Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs working under her mother, who remains editor-in-chief. She was also working in the White House as an intern for then-First Lady Clinton.
Headlined “Women’s Rights are Islamic Rights,” a 1996 article argues that single moms, working moms and gay couples with children should not be recognized as families. It also states that more revealing dress ushered in by women’s liberation “directly translates into unwanted results of sexual promiscuity and irresponsibility and indirectly promote violence against women.” In other words, sexually liberated women are just asking to be raped
“A conjugal family established through a marriage contract between a man and a woman, and extended through procreation is the only definition of family a Muslim can accept,” the author, a Saudi official with the Muslim World League, asserted, while warning of “the dangers of alternative lifestyles.” (Abedin’s journal was founded and funded by the former head of the Muslim World League.)
“Pushing [mothers] out into the open labor market is a clear demonstration of a lack of respect of womanhood and motherhood,” it added.
In a separate January 1996 article, Abedin’s mother — who was the Muslim World League’s delegate to the UN conference — wrote that Clinton and other speakers were advancing a “very aggressive and radically feminist” agenda that was un-Islamic and wrong because it focused on empowering women.
Hillary Clinton at the Dar al-Hekma college for women during a “town hall” meeting in the Red Sea port city of Jeddah in 2010. Abedin’s mother, Dr. Saleha Mahmood Abedin, is on Clinton’s right.

David Lichtenstein Eying Ambassador Job in Clinton Administration?

Why would a prominent wealthy Jew raise money for a presidential candidate that is surrounded by a bunch of anti-Semites?

Why would a prominent wealthy Jew kick the Jewish Community in the proverbial butt and endorse an administration that will force  Israel to cave in to terrorists?

The only thing that makes any sense is that David Lichtenstein is looking for an ambassador position in the Clinton administration, should Hillary G-D forbid become president!

Trump Vetting Refugees

It's time that people close to Lichtencrap,  tell him "lo zu ha'derech"
Mr. Lichtencrap, don't be a partner in trying to destroy Klall Yisrael, because you will ultimately fail, and long after you are a footnote in some artscroll book, Klall Yisrael will flurish despite your buying a postion in Crooked Hillary's administration.....

Chava Leah Chapman Killed In Fire; Husband Yosef Chaim Alter Ben Malka Hospitalized

candle914
The Houston Jewish Community was struck by tragedy over Shabbos, when a fire tore through the home of a well-known family, leaving the wife dead, and husband in critical condition.

Firefighters were called around 7:45PM to the home of Julius and Eva Lou Chapman, in the 9400 block of Greenwillow St. They said they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the one-story brick house. Once inside, they found Julius Chapman near the front of the house with burns and suffering smoke inhalation. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Firefighters located the body of Mrs. Eva Lou (Chava Leah bas Yosef Leib)Chapman shortly after.

The Chapman’s [both in their 70's] were pioneers in early Houston. Family members said that they built a mikvah in their bedroom which was used back then by the community.

Please say tehillim for Yosef Chaim Alter Ben Malka.
Not only did firefighters try their best to save the pair, but the community tried as well, neighbors said.
Neighbor Chris Martin grabbed an ax and tried to help.
“The door was so blocked we couldn’t even push the door open. So I tried to chop a hole in the door to get in,” he said.

Martin didn’t know the couple, but said when a neighbor’s in need, you don’t hesitate to help.
“When I read this morning that someone really died it kind of makes you wonder, ‘Could I have chopped harder? Could I have beat the door down more or done something?’ But (we) did the best that we could do.” Martin said.

The victims’ cousin said the couple has a big family,
“They probably have about 50 grandchildren, great grandchildren, too,” Alysa Graves said.
The elderly couple was big in the Jewish community and members of the United Orthodox Synagogue.
Investigators are looking into what may have started the fire.
No Levaya information was available.

Satmar "mechanchim" teaching their little children to hate other Jews just like Arabs

Der Blatt gloating the "Day Camp" activities
In the  video below currently viral on social media, there are two clips combined.
The clips were taken in the past two weeks at two separate Satmar day camps.

The first part of the video was taken at a camp affiliated with the Satmar Rebbe of Williamsburg, R' Zalman Leib Teitelbaum. The children are seen holding a fake anti-Israel protest, with the children making anti-Israel signs and chanting anti-Israel slogans.

The second part of the clip was taken at a camp affiliated with the Satmar Rebbe of Kiryas Yoel, R' Aharon Teitelbaum. In this camp activity, the young children are all given eggs and when the mock vehicle with the “Prime Minister of Israel” drives through the crowd, the children pelt the vehicle – covering it in eggs. Chants of “Bibi Netanyahu shame on you!” can be heard as the children cover the vehicle in eggs.

If that’s not disturbing enough, the egging incident was taken a step further.

Not only were the children thought to throw things at someone you disagree with, not to mention a moving vehicle, and not only was the blatant disregard for Baal Tashchis displayed on a mass scale – but the newspaper (Der Blatt) aligned with this Satmar Aroni faction proudly covered this story. (See attached photos)
If anyone wonders where the deep hatred comes from to yell Nazi at other Jews, to have the Chutzpah to call 100-year-old Mahigei Hador “reshoyim” and “lowlives”, it begins at age 5 and ends in violent Hafganos in Meah Shearim, where public property is destroyed, the lives of tens of thousands are inconvenienced and people are violently attacked.

This was all started by the "Tzaddik Hador" R' Yoel Teitelbaum the founder of the Satmar dynasties, he is responsible for all the hate against other Jews instilled in his chassidim...and now the "chickens have come home to roost"

Twitter bans Breitbart but not ISIS-linked loudmouth

milosplit1
Yiannopoulos, (l.), is banned from Twitter, but the social media platform refused to even take down terrorist messages from Choudary, (r.), according to London prosecutors.
Twitter banned Breitbart tech editor and openly gay conservative Milo Yiannopoulos for life last month after his followers tweeted objectionable comments targeting African-American “Ghostbusters” star Leslie Jones, but a recent case in London shows Twitter took a hands-off approach to the poisonous posts of Anjem Choudary.

SOROS’S WAR ON ISRAEL EXPOSED

Over the weekend hackers leaked reams of confidential reports from the Open Society Foundations, hedge-fund billionaire George Soros’s ostensible charitable network, to the DC Leaks website.
DC Leaks is believed to be backed by Russian intelligence agencies. Soros, who is of Hungarian Jewish origin, is a major supporter of the Democratic Party and a dogged opponent of the state of Israel.
The leaks shed new light on the intensity of Soros’s animus against the Jewish state. One of the Open Society Foundations’ aims was to “challeng[e] Israel’s racist and anti-democratic policies” and subvert its image as a democracy in the international arena.
One way Soros’s outfit did that was to funnel funds to highly adversarial Israel-based organizations. Since 2001 the largest total, almost $2.7 million, has gone to the Israeli Arab NGO Adalah. As NGO Monitor details, Adalah vilifies Israel as a “colonial enterprise” and “apartheid state,” charges it with “war crimes,” and calls for its international isolation.
Another $1 million has gone to another Israeli Arab NGO, the I’lam Media Center. During the 2014 Gaza War, I’lam expressed its loyalty to its country—a haven for its Arab minority—by calling on the notoriously anti-Israeli UN Human Rights Council to “[c]ondemn the deliberate, systematic and widespread targeting of Palestinian civilians” and set up an “international commission of inquiry” to criminalize Israel for its war against massive Hamas rocket fire.
Some of the funding to these and similar NGOs was channeled through the New Israel Fund. A far-left group in its own right, the NIF, as NGO Monitor notes, funds organizations “that are active in international and divisive campaigns that contribute to…the demonization and delegitimization of Israel.” As well as being a conduit for the Soros funds, NIF itself has received a total of $837,000 of them.
“Even more troubling,” as Liel Leibovitz notes on Tablet, “the documents repeatedly indicate that the network actively tried to conceal its engagements in Israel and the Palestinian territories.” As part of what NGO monitorcalls “the secrecy and lack of transparency inherent in the [Open Society Foundations’] activities,” one document states:
For a variety of reasons, we wanted to construct a diversified portfolio of grants dealing with Israel and Palestine…and in all cases to maintain a low profile and relative distance—particularly on the advocacy front.
That has, of course, gotten increasingly difficult in a world of hackers and mysterious websites.
In seeking to blacken Israel’s name, Soros’s network had an eye for what it saw as golden opportunities. One, as stated in a report by the network, was “a particular shift in political dynamics particularly in the US reflected by the publication of the Walt and Mearsheimer article ‘The Israel Lobby’ [denounced as antisemitic] in Spring 2006.”
“Another encouraging shift,” as Leibovitz notes, was “the rise of the international movement to boycott Israel.” As the same Soros-network report stated:
A number of factors make this a good moment to review this portfolio, including some new or improved opportunities we may choose to exploit. In recent years there’s been heightened international solidarity around Palestinians’ rights, the rise of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement and other economic levers, and increased use and traction of arts and culture by Palestinians as a means to raise awareness of violations and the impact of the conflict.”
It translates into: make use of anything—including the BDS movement, whose explicit aim is to destroy Israel—to weaken, harass, undermine, and defame the state of Israel.
Soros, himself, said that he
“grew up in a Jewish, anti-Semitic home,” and that his parents were “uncomfortable with their religious roots.” They even changed their name from Shwartz to Soros in 1936 to disassociate themselves from the Jewish community.
That Soros has also acknowledged being neither “a Zionist, nor…a practicing Jew,” nor very “engaged in Jewish affairs,” is one thing. That he works to drag the Jewish state into oblivion along with him is, of course, quite another.
Ironically, the DC Leaks website that has exposed the documents presents Soros in a vicious antisemitic caricature, including calling him a “vampire” who controls “puppets” and “slaves” who “spill blood of millions and millions of people just to make him even more rich.” Soros won’t, it’s safe to assume, be looking toward Israel—under intermittent vicious attack for 68 years—for solidarity.

Israel-bound chartered plane takes 230 Jews from JFK home to resettle in the Holy Land

NYC PAPERS OUT. Social media use restricted to low res file max 184 x 128 pixels and 72 dpi
Some 230 people said their final farewell to the Big Apple as they boarded a plane at Kennedy Airport Tuesday to begin their new life in Israel.
“They say it's hard, but it's definitely worth it,” said Avraham Dergel, 18, of Spring Valley, N.Y. “I fell in love with the place, it's beautiful.”
He is one of the approximately 4,000 Jews expected to move to Israel from the U.S. and Canada in 2016, according to Nefesh B'Nefesh, an organization that helps emigrants resettle in Israel.
Danielle Stadtmaier, 34, is moving with her husband and 3 young children from New Jersey
"It's a big deal for our kids, when the kids read the Bible, they can visit those places," she said. "They'll learn that their forefathers walked in these places."
Marc Barsano, 20, of Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn plans to spend his first three months on a kibbutz and then join the Israeli Defense Forces.
He's not alone.
There are an estimated 75 others from the group who plan to become so-called Lone Soldiers.
The El Al Boeing 777 chartered flight included people from 22 states and one Canadian province. Among those leaving were 24 families, 78 children and 10 medical professionals, according to Nefesh B'Nefesh.

Rabbonim Protest French Jewish Children being Sent to Chinach Atzmai Schools, Better they Assimilate and Become gentiles!

I recently posted that R' Zalman Leib, Williamsburg Satmar Rebbe, teamed up with Litvishe Roshei Yeshivah to raise funds, to make sure that French Jewish children that are going to Israel,  be educated in Chinuch Atzmai Schools.

Chinuch Atzmai is a branch of Agudah and one of the founders was R' Aron Kotler, founder of Lakewood!

The late R' Yoel Teitelbaum, founder of the Satmar Chassidic movement, paskened that Chinuch Atmai is chazir treif since the schools are an offshoot of Agudah!

Now 12 "Gedoilei Yisroel" sent a Kol Koreh stating that sending the French Children to Chinuch Atzmai will "Eliminate Torah in this generation and in future generations." The Kol koreh  keeps reiterating that Chinuch Atzmai will "shmad' all French children!

This poster was generated by none other than R' Aron Teitelbaum, Monroe Satmar Rebbe, who hates his brother with a passion, and will do anything to undermine anything R' Zalman Leib does, even if it means destroying any vintage of hope of having Jewish Children get a frum education!

As I explained in my previous post , none of the French Children come from frum homes, they come from borderline Jewish backgrounds, and the parents really want them to go to  Zionist Dati Schools and want them integrating in Israeli Society, knowing full well that they will at least marry someone Jewish. In France the assimilation is growing at an astronomical pace, and the chance of them marrying someone Jewish, is slim.

Rabbonim, including R"Zalman Leib are trying to get these children in a Frum school and in a Frum environment and the best way to facilitate this, would be to work with the existing Chinuch Atzmai schools ....
because none of these children will go to any Chassidic Schools.

Well the gang of 12, would rather have these kids assimilate and marry gentiles than to have them go to the Agudah Chinuch Atzmai Schools...

Letter from a Mother to the Monsey Community!

Image result for letter
I found the following letter on facebook ...... posting it without comment!

"Most people here have no idea what has been happening in my life the last few weeks, and that is usually how I keep my Facebook life - completely generic and separate from my everyday life. However, I have decided that this issue is too important to keep to myself, and I am posting this after a few weeks of mulling over my actions.
The last few weeks have been incredibly stressful as we battled it out yet again with yet another school in this oh so holy town of Torah. Below is letter I have written and sent to them. Since spoken words seem to have no effect, hopefully the written word, which others are able to read and pass along, will have a greater effect. May this post go viral and a change made. Amen.
__________________________________________
I'm sitting on my couch, pondering what to do with the pile of letters I have received over the years from numerous schools and yeshivas in Monsey, politely (or not so politely) informing me that we are no longer 'a good fit' for their esteemed school. My children have been in the frum school system for 7 years, and I am holding the fifth letter informing us that we are no longer welcome in yet another school.
As one institution put it, a family such as ours is not good for their overall image. When I was still stupid enough to beg these pompous educators for a chance to educate my precious child, I was told it is not their problem if she doesn't have a Jewish school to attend. In the words of Rabbi XXXX of Bais Yaakov XXXX, 'it is not my business to care about the people who do not meet my standards and are forced to send to public school'. I beg to differ. You have established a school in Monsey, undertaking to educate our precious Jewish daughters. It IS your business that there are Jewish girls left without a school when you have available slots in yours. You should spend sleepless nights worrying about these girls, not worrying about your image.
This is the person we are entrusting our daughters to. Let's ask ourselves a question - is this how we want them to grow up? Are these the people we want them to emulate??
I now know why there are so many people in Monsey that are disillusioned with the chareidi school administrators and principals, and everything that is associated with it. I know this because I have been added to their pile of castaways, their pile of people they threw out in the cold, because I wasn't good enough. Because I'm perhaps not rich enough or powerful enough or know the right people to buy my daughter another year at school.
There is a reason the class sizes at XXXX are shrinking instead of growing, and why every year there are less and less people banging on their door begging for the honor and privilege of having their daughters educated by people that care only about their image, their egos, the bottom line of their bank statement. Because people are tired of being treated like cockroaches, like they don't matter.
The fact that a child's life and stability can be so easily dismissed boggles the mind. It is abominable that a child's life should be turned upside down because of your personal hatred toward a certain sect of Judaism. What do I tell my innocent 8 year old the reason she cannot go back to her school come fall? That she is not good enough? That the administration of a school that preaches ahavas yisroel does not practice all that they teach? How many times does a little girl have to hear this line before she starts believing it? My daughter is 8 years old. She has been in the school system for 5 years. This is the third time she will be hearing the line that she is not good enough for one reason or another. Something is very, very wrong here.
I am sitting here wondering what exactly makes someone the right 'type'? Did the Chofetz Chaim ever worry about anyone's 'type'? Did he turn away Jews who were not exactly like him? If the Chofetz Chaim would be alive now, would he be pleased with the premise of how a school in his name is run? That only certain Jews matter, while other who do not fit neatly into a little box can be thrown away as 'not our problem'?
These very Bais Yaakovs that we send our daughters to teach them about Sarah Schenirer and the movement she started. Yet they leave out the details of the core of this movement - that every Jewish daughter matters. Not only the ones that are born into money, prestige, and the 'right' family. They teach about gedolim and rebbetzins, and how great they were. My daughter came home the last day of school with a 'gedolei yisroel' notebook, where she learned about different gedolim throughout the ages. I flipped through it, and amazingly, while the girls were taught about the many virtues of these rabbonim and how we should emulate them and strive to be like them, the hanhala that set this curriculum was conveniently picking and choosing which virtues apply to them. Compassion, ahavas yisroel, viyahavta l'rayacha k'mocha, do not do unto others what you would not want done to you. I don't think I have found any of these in the chareidi school system, in the people educating my most precious possessions.
Rabbonim, principals, educators, and countless others constantly decry the internet, smartphones, and pointing to these offensive objects as the reason so many people are going off the derech. Excuse me for disagreeing. People are not frum today because they have become disillusioned with our rabbonim. When a principal of a yeshiva has the guts to look you in the eye and tell you 'your son cannot attend my school anymore because you look like a goyta', the problem obviously lies elsewhere. Looking back, I find this comment amusing. I was so frum and naive back then, and I sincerely believed in the system at the time. Now? Not so much. Now I am jaded, disillusioned. There is only so many times you can hear something without it having an effect on you.
My deepest wish is that a revolution start in Monsey, the town we've lived in for so long yet never really accepted us. A revolution that people demand change, and stop enabling our so-called educators to continue bullying parents because we don't meet their standards of perfection, and don't fit into some preconceived little box we're expected to fit into.
And now, as I neatly add the fifth letter from a school sending us to places unknown to my pile, I know that I have reached that time. That time that the system has failed me, and I know I will be leaving it. I am no longer willing to bring up my children in this system that will likely not treat them any better than it has treated their parents."

UPDATE On "Monsey Mafia "Rabbonim" bully Restaurant"

Dear readers,
I didn't expect the reaction that I received on social media  in reference to the post titled

Let me make absolutely clear ...
Those who are familiar with my blog know very well that I am not a journalist, and that is putting it mildly.
 I am a blogger ....

I am not looking for hits, though this post has garnered over 15,000 hits as of this writing.
I do not make any money off this blog and I don't even care if it isn't read at all.

I started this blog originally, so that I could express, primarily, to myself,  my frustrations with what I heard and witnessed ...

As I blogged, a  tremendous burden went  off my chest ... and my blood pressure plunged ...it wasn't meant to be read by anyone.... it was basically a catharsis .... for my own well being ..

When I blog, I don't care about grammar, spelling or how it sounds..and for those curious, I am a Yeshiva Graduate with an under graduate degree from Brooklyn College in Child Psychology and I have my masters in Education from Fordham University.
Sometimes I go back and correct my grammar or spelling ... so you may see corrections if you refer back to it ..... but for the most part, I leave it as it is ....
I am not an "anti-Semite" as some in social media postulated, I am not anti-Chassidic either; ....................

'Iran deal was a horrible and tragic mistake'

Trump Is Too Dangerous

Fox News contributor and former chairman of Concerned Veterans for America, Peter Hegseth visited Israel this week, looking to learn firsthand about the Arab-Israeli conflict and life in the Jewish state.
“Seeing is believing and it is therefore critical that as many people of all backgrounds are encouraged to come to Israel,” Hegseth said.

A decorated former US Army officer who served in both Afghanistan and Iraq and a Harvard grad, Hegseth worked with the conservative Manhattan Institute for Police Research and several veterans organizations.

During his visit in Israel, Hegseth blasted last year’s Iranian nuclear deal, calling it a “tragic mistake” that empowered Iran while weakening the West.

“The Iran deal was a horrible and tragic mistake, with historical consequences for the United States and Israel. Barack Obama was obsessed with a deal - a legacy deal - and doesn't believe the Iranian regime when they say 'death to America' and 'death to Israel', and he wanted a deal no matter what because he wanted something on his resume that made it look like he contributed to some form of world peace.”

“In reality what he's done is empower the world's most vicious sponsor of state-terrorism, a historic enemy of Israel and the United States who is now on a path to a nuclear weapon.”

Hegseth praised Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, calling him one of the most effective and consistent critics of the Iran deal.

“The primary person who spoke truth in that moment was Bibi Netanyahu... who stood up and said 'If this happens, you are now threatening the very existence of Israel because Iran has said what they would do with a nuclear weapon and that capability. And wielding that would change the whole power-dynamic in the Middle East. It would disempower Israel and disempower the United States and empower one of the most fanatical Islamist regimes in the region in Iran.”

Despite the steps towards implementation of the deal, Hegseth expressed optimism it could be reversed, noting the deal was never ratified by the Senate and therefore is not binding upon future administrations.

“The Iranian deal was never approved or ratified in our Senate, it’s not a deal that most American's agree with, and it’s certainly not something that has to stand. So we look to someone like Netanyahu, who has been a voice of clarity, and I think there are a lot of us in the United States who think it should be fundamentally undone and we shouldn't be doing side-deals with a terrorist regime like the one in Teheran.”

Hegseth also touched upon Jewish construction in Jerusalem, an issued that has become a frequent point of contention between Israel and the Obama administration. In 2010 Biden ripped a planned housing development in the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood during a visit to Israel, marking one of the low points in the relationship between the Obama White House and Israel.

“First of all, I would defer Israel's destiny to Israel,” said Hegseth. “I don't think it’s in our interest to condemn the individual moves of a sovereign country like Israel on those issues. I think it all comes back to an investment in an international deal or a two-state solution that is proving itself to be less and less viable.”

“I think what Israel chooses to do within Jerusalem, especially with allowing people to buy land or live where they like to should be its own business and they should have the ability to do that.”
