1,600 People Treated For Medical Emergencies in Uman Over Rosh Hashanah

Over the course of Rosh Hashanah in the city of Uman, Ukraine, more than 1,600 people received emergency medical treatment by United Hatzalah volunteers who were stationed in and around the city to provide first aid care for the tens of thousands of people who spent the holiday in the city.
After receiving emergency first aid care in the field, those requiring further care were taken to the medical clinic in Uman that was run by Oxford Medical in partnership with United Hatzalah.
Head of the medical clinic Nachi Klein issued a statement at the end of the holiday that said:
“The medical cases that we treated included broken bones, lacerations, contusions of various kinds and degrees, shortness of breath, a number of victims suffering wounds from bb gun pellets, and other medical issues some of which required transport to local hospitals or hospitals in Kiev.
At the beginning of the holiday, one person was airlifted to a hospital in Kiev as he required immediate hospitalization due to his severe condition.”

Shera Shimshon - Nitzavim

Zera Shimshon - Nitzavim

Life and death, I have placed before you, and you shall chose life (30:19)

The Zera Shimshon explains this passuk by first explaining the following mishna.

The mishna says (Avos 3:18), He (Rabbi Akiva) used to say, "everything is given as collateral, and a net is spread over all the living. The store is open and the storeowner extends credit etc."

The Zera Shimshon prefaces his explanation with the following introduction.

Originally, all the souls of the Jewish nation were grouped together in the all-inclusive soul of Adam Harishon.

After the first sin, many of these souls fell into the clutches of the impurity. This is the true meaning of 'Galus Hashechina', the exile of Hashem's divine presence since the souls of the Jewish nation are a part of Hashem.

By fulfilling the Mitzva of having children with the proper intentions, these souls are extracted from the hold of the forces of impurity. The more one sanctifies himself while fulfilling this mitzva, the holier the soul is that he takes out from the side of the impure. This is why towards the end of time, when people are
removed from holiness, as a result of their impure intentions, the generations become more and more brazen.

Never one to rest, the side of the impure works exceedingly hard to contaminate the holiest souls so that they remain captive. By doing so, the forces of impurity are empowered by fueling themselves with the capture holiness of these great souls.

In Shaar Hagilgulim (§27, 38), the Arizal explains that for this, the forces of evil will be punished, the same way the Egyptians were overly zealous about fulfilling Hashem's decree of enslaving the Jews and it was for that reason that they were destroyed, the forces of impurity as well are only supposed to hold these souls as deposits, not contaminate them to further hold them captive.

This is what is hinted to in the mishna.
 "Everything is given as collateral,"
the souls that fell to the impurity are only there are collateral. They do not belong to the forces of evil to contaminate them.

The mishna continues,
"and a net is spread over all the living,"
here, the mishna is saying that although before the souls come to this world the forces that hold them may not contaminate them, however, once they come to this world as living people, the forces of impurity have the right to try and ensnare them by making fall to sin, as the passuk says,
"Life and death, I have placed before you, and you shall chose life."

Given that the forces of evil are undoubtedly much stronger that mere humans, the mishna reassures us with the following,
"the store is open,"
This, the Zera Shimshon explains to mean that Hashem does not allow these forces to cause a person to sin against his will, they are only allowed to place temptation in front of a person and he has to chose to either sin or hold himself back. The same way a store displays its merchandise to the passersby, trying to get them inside to buy something, but in the end the choice is entirely in the hands of the passerby to decide if he will walk in and buy something or not.

The mishna continues,
 "the storeowner extends credit."
This is the tactic of the Yetzer Hara, trying to get one to sin by attempting to convince him that Hashem extends credit and will not punish him for these sins.

This is the "death" that the passuk says is placed in front of a person - these deceiving tactics of the Yetzer Hara.

On the other hand, the Yetzer Tov places "life" in front of the person by placing mitzvos in front of him and countering the claims of the Yetzer Hara.

It remains for the individual to 'chose life'.

"Fat Prohibited and Fat Permitted"

Rav ruled:
In a case where an individual had one portion of animal fat and it was uncertain whether that portion was shu’mahn (permitted fat) or chey’lev (prohibited fat), yet the individual ate it anyway — that individual is not required to bring a Korban Asham Talui (an offering sacrificed by a person who is uncertain whether or not they committed a transgression).

However, if an individual had two portions of fat, one of shu’mahn and the other of chey’lev and ate one piece without knowing which was the shu’mahn (permitted fat) and which was chey’lev — that individual is chayav (obligated) to bring a Korban Asham Talui.

What is the difference between the two cases above?

Both individuals were uncertain whether they ate chey’lev or shu’mahn!

Rav Nachman explained:
In the second case, the issur (prohibition) is strong. One of the two portions was undoubtedly chey’lev. When doubt arose that the individual clearly might have eaten chey’lev, that person was obligated to bring a korban.

However, in the first case, it was not certain there was any issur, because there was only one portion, and it was not definitively determined whether that portion of fat was shu’mahn or chey’lev.  As such, no clear issur was established. In such a case, the Torah did not obligate the offering of a Korban Asham Talui.

Trump Campaign Raises A Quarter Million Dollars Within 15 MINUTES Of Pelosi Impeachment Announcement

donald trump GIF
Donald Trump and his people were ready for the day Democrats decided to launch an impeachment inquiry against him.
Trump’s re-election campaign raised a quarter of a million dollars in just 15 minutes on Tuesday in the immediate aftermath of House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s announcement about the probe.
Trump, who in a tweet after Pelosi’s announcement, labeled the probe “Witch Hunt garbage,” also appeared to embrace the argument that the impeachment effort could help his 2020 prospects.
“They all say that’s a positive for me, for the election,” Trump told reporters in New York. “But the good news is, the voters get it. This is why they say it’s good for the election. But you know what? It’s bad for the country.”

Chareidi Woman Arrested in Bnei Brak For Jay-Walking................................. UPDATED!!!

A  Bnei Brak woman was arrested because of “jaywalking” on HaShomer Street in Bnei Brak.
According to multiple reports, a female police officer asked her to identify herself, the woman refused and began to run away from the officer. Due to her refusal and resistance, she was arrested. The location is known to have traffic police monitoring the street for infractions on a consistent basis.
In videos that were spread around social media, two  police women are seen  dragging the woman while a crowd gathered around them and began yelling at them: “What is wrong with you? Leave her alone or you will sit in prison.”
A passerby attempted to calm the tensions and ask the officers why they don’t just give her a ticket. The officers responded that they cannot do so unless she identifies herself, something she refused to do.
Due to the unrest of the gathered crowd, a large number of police reinforcements were called to the scene to assist in dispersing the crowd. In total seven police cars and teams of officers arrived at the scene.
The Charedi woman and the two female officers took shelter in a nearby Fire Department building. The woman was loaded into a police car that arrived and taken to the police station on HaKishon Street.

UPDATE!!
Din has learned from sources close to the family of the lady that was arrested....

that the lady started punching and hitting the officer after the officer asked for her ID...
This is from her very own family!!

'Lev Tahor' seeks asylum - in Iran

Lev Tahor, a fringe Charedi sect, has requested political asylum from the Iranian government.

In its request, the group “declared their loyalty and submission to the Supreme Leader and Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

It asks for “asylum, protection and religious freedom of the families of its loyal members,” and also calls for “cooperation and help to counter Zionist dominance in order to peacefully liberate the Holy Land and the Jewish nation.”

The request was part of a batch of documents filed in U.S. Federal Court last week ahead of trials against five Lev Tahor members on charges of kidnapping, child abuse and identity theft.

Lev Tahor, which has about 230 members, relocated to Guatemala from Canada in 2014 following allegations of mistreatment of its children including abuse and child marriages.

Arranged marriages between teenagers and older cult members are reported to be common. The group shuns technology and its female members wear black robes from head to toe, leaving only their faces exposed.

Chareidi Parties in Israel Will Sleep With the Enemy To Get Funds For The Moisdois

The famous Gaon Oilim, Bob Grant z"l used to say "It's crazy out there and getting crazier!"

No truer words have ever been said by the secular world.

Last week there wore reports in the Heimishe News Blogs that the Chareidim are considering talking to Benny Ganz in an effort to  perhaps join him in a coalition ....

So you say.... "What's the problem?" .....

The problem is the number 2 guy on the list of "Kachol Ve'Lavin," Benny Ganz's party, is a guy by the name of  Lapid,  who Chareidim hate because he has promulgated anti-Torah values and he openly unabashedly hates Chareidim ...

When the Yeshivaworld reported that last week , .....it didn't take too long for them to say that it is "Fake News."

I now read credible reports in the Israeli News that not only are the Charedie parties talking to "Kachol Ve'Lavan" but talking directly to Yair Lapid himself...
Some reports in fact say that Chareidim are considering lifting the ban against him and bringing him for a bracha to R' Chaim Kanivski..

I am not sure that they will carry this thru but the fact that they are even talking to him and even considering joining his party is proof positive that they don't care about the Jews living in Israel ... all they care about is the shekels.....

I get bashed constantly when I say that today there is no such thing as "Dass Torah."

Years ago, Gedoilim disagreed with each other all the time, but until Satmar came along no one ever called the other opinion ...
"apikorsas" and  "meenis"!..

Every one has there own "morah derech" and everyone would  respect the opinion of an opposing point of view!

But that's no longer the case ...
In this past election there were 2 huge elderly poiskim that warned Chareidim that if they go to vote they are condemned to hell"

Then there were Gedoilim that warned Chareidim that if they didn't vote they would all be condemned to hell.....

Now the pro-voters are considering dropping a cheirim on the most hated guy in Chareidie circles and  join him in a coalition..

Of course this will confuse the naive sheep that follow these money hungry askanim and some will even question if this is Torah ...

Those that went with my thinking that there isn't such a thing as "Daas Torah" and that each frum Jew should  go along with there very own Rabbi's derech ...
will remain steadfast in their faith ......

Meah Shearim Fanatics Meet With Arab Knesset Member Ayman Odeh

I literally fell off my chair laughing at the absurdity of this.... I haven't laughed like this in years!

The Meah Seharim parasites,  claim that they don't take money from the "medinah," an out and out lie.... their wives have multiple births... who pays for that?
Betuach Leumi ... the Zionist Health Organization...
Who picks up their stinky garbage? .... the Zionists!
Who subsidizes their busing? Aha! .... The Zionists ....
Who subsidizes the milk and butter? Aha aha! Zionists!
Who gave them the land to build their shuls and Yeshivois? Zionists!
Each of their children get a bank account the second they are born and the Zionists put shekels in that account until they become emancipated!
"But they don't take money from the Zionists!"

They don't recognize the Knesset and it's members ....
so who do they meet with to address their "concerns" about "police brutality" and the "draft?"

Members of the Knesset that they don't recognize,  the Arab Members!

So instead of davening to Hashem to answer their prayers they find comfort in Goyim, Arabs that vow to kill them!

Zera Shimshom ..... Ki Tavoi ........

And these shall stand for the curse on Mount Eival: Reuven, Gad and Asher...
Cursed is he who lies with his father’s wife...

The Gemara in Shabbos establishes Reuven’s innocence from the fact that his descendants were among those who were chosen to stand on Mount Eival and affirm the curses.

That righteous person [i.e. Reuven] was clearly saved from that sin [that the Torah seems to attribute to him; lying with his father’s wife, Bilhah], as it’s certain that this deed could not have come to his hand, for is it possible that his descendants would in the future stand on Mount Eival and declare, ‘Cursed is he who lies with his father’s wife’, if this very sin had come to his hand?
[i.e. For if Reuven had actually laid with Bilhah, Hashem would surely not have selected his descendants to be among those affirming this curse].

The commentaries ask on this Gemara; why the need to establish Reuven’s virtuousness from this incident which happened a short time before Moshe Rabainu’s death, when it could have been proven from a much earlier indicator.

For the Gemara in Sotah says the following;
At that moment [before Yosef succumbed to the sin], the visage of his father came and appeared to him in the window and said to him, “Yosef! Your brothers are destined to be inscribed upon the stones of the Efod, and you are destined to be among them. Do you want your name to be erased?”

In view of that, when we find Reuven’s name inscribed on the stones of the Efod, that in itself should clearly attest to his integrity, for had Reuven indeed sinned,
his name would have been erased from the Efod; just as Yaakov had warned Yosef would happen if he would sin.

Truthfully, we can pose a much greater question on the proof that the Gemara chose to use when establishing Reuven’s innocence.

For immediately after the Torah narrates the incident which seems to indicate a wrongdoing on Reuven’s behalf, the Passuk proceeds and says,
- and the sons of Yaakov were twelve, and Rashi cites the Chazal who say,
These words come to teach us that all Yaakov’s twelve children are equal and all are righteous, for Reuven did not sin.

Accordingly, we need to understand why the Gemara would need to prove Reuven’s innocence from the incident which occurred on Mount Eival, when the Torah itself plainly and clearly vindicates him of any sin?

This obvious difficulty would compel us to say that that those words alone, where the Torah acknowledges that all twelve sons were equally righteous, would not suffice to prove that Reuven didn’t sin, as we can easily say that Reuven did indeed sin, yet only because he repented was his sin atoned for, and thus was he once again considered righteous, equal to his brothers.

Accordingly, we can similarly say that from this fact alone, that Reuven’s name was inscribed on the stones of the Efod, we could not have proven that he had never sinned, for by the same token we can say that he had indeed sinned, and only because he repented was his name eventually inscribed on the Efod stones.

We can now understand why the Gemara needed to prove Reuven’s virtuousness from the fact that his descendants were chosen to stand on Mount Eival and affirm the curses, and not from the fact that Reuven’s inscription was on the Efod, nor from the fact that Reuven was considered equally as righteous as his brothers.
For if he had indeed sinned, then although his repentance would have sufficed for him to be considered righteous and to be reinstituted in having his name inscribed on the Efod, nevertheless, out of respect for his honor, Hashem would still not have chosen Reuven’s descendants to be among those selected to affirm the curses which the Torah places upon those who violate the Torah’s commandments.

"Reuvein vs The Witnesses"

Eidim (witnesses) appeared at the Beit Din (court) and testified they saw Reuven commit an aveira (transgression) b’shogeg (unknowingly), for which he was chayav (liable) to sacrifice a Korban Chatat (Sin Offering).

If Reuven admits that he committed the aveira, then he is obviously liable to offer a Korban Chatat.

But what if Reuven disputes the testimony of the eidim and insists that he did not commit any aveira?
Should Reuven be believed, despite the witness testimony he had committed an aveira?

According to halacha, we indeed believe Reuven over the testimony of the eidim, and he is patur (exempt) from offering a Korban Chatat.

Why is Reuven patur

If Reuven was a liar who wanted to cast off his liability to offer a Korban Chatat, he could have told the Beit Din that the eidim were correct (i.e., he had committed the aveira), but that he had done so b’mayzid (on purpose) and not b’shogeg as stated by the eidim

A person who commits an aveira b’mayzid is not obligated to bring a Korban Chatat.

The eidim are unable to contradict such a claim, because they have no way to prove what Reuven’s intentions were in the moment of sin. Being that Reuven did not make that simple claim, we conclude that he is not a liar. As such, we believe him that he did not commit any aveira.

Five Towns Newspaper Advice To a "Overweight" Girl on a Shidduch Date

I want to preface this post with the following caveat .....
Being obese is not healthy .. period.......nothing to do with getting a shidduch ....

Having said that....Let's talk about a girl looking for a shidduch that is not obese but is by 2019 standards a bit overweigh!!

In Yeshivois and Seminaries the Rabbaim and Morahs preach  that Jewish values is about the "pneemious"  of a person..... that it is "what is in the inside that counts."
אל תסתכל בקנקן אלא במה שיש בו
always quoting Chazal's advice to people , that one shouldn't judge a "book by its cover" so to speak...

And that is absolutely true.... because the bottom line is after you you take your wifey home, you and only you will need to deal with her personality.....
It's not going to be her weight .....

So why do all Yeshivisha learners insist on a girl thats a -3 ?

Is it because they are concerned about her health?

Is there only good chemistry between the learner and the girl if she is "cheenush" (slim in the gypsy hungarian language?

My Theory?

It's all about the neighbors! Absolutely.....
Let the neighbors eat their hearts' out, I'm going to parade my anorexic Kallah with her 8" heels and gucci dress right past their window while they are eating supper ....
Let them choke!

Now look at the advice she gets from the experts...
Only ONE advises her correctly that she should be concerned about her "overall health and emotional well being."
