Michaeli fights for women’s rights on buses. Beit Shemesh Mayor Aliza Bloch: What buses?

Minister of Transportation and chairman of the Labor Party, Merav Michaeli, has taken on a fight against the discrimination of women on public transportation in haredi-religious cities such as Jerusalem, Beit Shemesh, and Bnei Brak.

In these cities, there are bus lines catering to the strict rules of modesty of the religious sector by having men and women sit separately or even having separate buses for each gender. Separate seating is voluntary by law, but women who sit among the men in a gender-segregated bus can be made to feel uncomfortable enough to move.

To combat this practice, five to ten undercover inspectors will travel on the buses to identify cases of gender segregation. Each inspector will work on 20 lines.

Dr. Aliza Bloch, Mayor of Beit Shemesh, commented on the initiative in an interview with Radio 103FM, "I don't even know where this idea came from. The public transportation crisis is so great in my area that people who want to leave the city are not sure they will even have a bus there or back. There is a complete lack of trust in the public transportation system. I'm missing dozens of lines."

"Ms. Minister," Bloch wrote on Twitter yesterday, "Let's first make sure that the bus lines arrive on time and at their destination, and then we'll be free to deal with other things. Thousands of my residents, secular and religious, young and old, students and pensioners wait on hot and rainy days, and simply do not get to where they need to go.''

The chairman of the Religious Zionist Party, MK Bezalel Smotrich, also criticized Transport Minister Michaeli after she presented her plan: "She is a failed minister who shows complete helplessness in the face of traffic jams on roads, public transport, ports, and the airport, and only concerns herself with cheap populism. We will replace her after the elections, with G-d's help, and deal with the real problems that are troubling the citizens of Israel.''

‘Delusional’ Liz Cheney Loses by a landslide But wants to Run For President and compares herself Lincoln

Former President Donald Trump was quick to gloat over the crushing Wyoming Republican primary election loss of his nemesis Liz Cheney — calling her a “fool” who “should be ashamed of herself.”

Trump, 76, took to his Truth Social platform late Tuesday to hail the “very decisive WIN” by the challenger he’d backed, Harriet Hageman, saying the “very big Liz Cheney loss” was “far bigger than had ever been anticipated.”

This is a wonderful result for America, and a complete rebuke of the Unselect Committee of political Hacks and Thugs,” he said.

“Liz Cheney should be ashamed of herself, the way she acted, and her spiteful, sanctimonious words and actions towards others,” he wrote of the Republican who’d voted to impeach him after the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

Trump proves his passports were taken in FBI raid after CBS anchor O’Donnell reports otherwise

The Justice Department admitted late Monday that former President Donald Trump’s passports were taken by FBI agents who searched his Florida home last week — hours after “CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell tweeted that she had been told otherwise.

Late Monday, Trump spokesman Taylor Budowich tweeted a screenshot of an email from a member of the Justice Department’s National Security Division that acknowledged the bureau removed the 45th president’s travel documents from Mar-a-Lago.

“We have learned that the filter agents seized three passports belonging to President Trump, two expired and one being his active diplomatic passport,” the email said.

The email added that the agency was “returning” Trump’s passports and that they would be ready for pickup by 2 p.m. Monday.

“In executing search warrants, the FBI follows search and seizure procedures ordered by courts, then returns items that do not need to be retained for law enforcement purposes,” the bureau said in a statement.

Trump initially accused the FBI of taking the passports Monday afternoon — an explosive allegation that suggested investigators believed he was a flight risk or faced potential charges that would prevent him from leaving the country.

“Wow! In the raid by the FBI of Mar-a-Lago, they stole my three Passports (one expired), along with everything else,” the former president wrote in a post on Truth Social.

“This is an assault on a political opponent at a level never seen before in our Country. Third World!” he added.

On Monday evening, O’Donnell tweeted: “NEW: According to a DOJ official, the FBI is NOT in possession of former President Trump’s passports. Trump had accused the FBI of stealing his three passports during the search of his Mar-a-Lago home.”

Media is back to anonymous, one-source stories on Trump that we can’t trust anymore

It feels like old times. In the wake of the FBI raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club, the mainstream media are in a feeding frenzy the likes of which we haven’t seen since he exited the White House. The usual suspects, like The New York Times and Washington Post, which spent the four years of Trump’s presidency consistently and spectacularly beclowning themselves, are at it again.

Dare we say that it has “all the hallmarks” of media incompetence?

Israel Police Report Reveals Arab Drivers Responsible For 52% Of Fatal Accidents

Despite being a minority population in Israel, Arab drivers are responsible for over half of fatal road accidents, an Israel Police report revealed this week.

On intercity roads the numbers are even higher, with Arabs found to have been involved in 58% of all accidents and 60% of fatal ones, of which they were the cause 80% of the time, according to the report.

Arab drivers were found to be involved in 36 percent of all traffic accidents, despite comprising only 19% of drivers. According to data, the majority of accidents involve young drivers, between the ages of 17-23.

“They [young Arab drivers] usually leave the village, go on a rampage, run amok and cause accidents,” said a law enforcement official. “We are dealing with a serious problem that goes beyond the police. We need to make this a priority. Unlike in Jewish society, where for example when a driver is stripped of his license, he stops driving, In Arab society, many continue to drive and endanger the lives of all drivers on the road.”

The police report cited a lack of public transportation, longer commutes and the poor condition of vehicles in the Arab sector as contributing factors.

"Lev Lacholeh" Tzaddaka Organization ... a Scam!

It Took 100 Years, but American Woman Makes Aliyah to Beit Shemesh

On Sunday an Israel identity card was issued to a 100-year-old new oleh (immigrant) from the US named Judy Neiman. A Holocaust survivor, Neiman went to live in the Town of Beit Shemesh to the West of Jerusalem.

A special ceremony was held for the presentation of the ID card held in the presence of Beit Shemesh Mayor Dr. Aliza Bloch, Director General of the Population and Immigration Authority Tomer Moskowitz, other officials and family members.

Judy Neiman was born in Czechoslovakia in a family with Orthodox Jewish-Zionist roots. Before World War II, she was a member of a secret Zionist organization, the name of which she no longer remembers, where she learned the song of the virtues of the food blessing to the tune of HaTikva.

After the war, Judy married Bill Neiman, a Romanian Jew who left Europe before the war. They had two sons, Howard and Mark. Bill was a talented baker.

Judy joins her son Howard’s family which was already in Israel.

Beit Shemesh 30 year-old Principal Arrested for allegedly Assaulting and Abusing his Students

During the past two weeks, an investigation was conducted at the Beit Shemesh police station against the director of the Talmud Torah in the city, on suspicion of assaults and abuse of his students over the past few months.

The investigation began following complaints received by the police from parents of children studying there, regarding violence and abuse allegedly experienced by their children (ages 8-10) by the principal.

In recent days, investigators from the Beit Shemesh police station of the Jerusalem District have collected evidence and testimonies against the Civil Administration, and last night the suspect (in his thirties) was arrested at his home in Beit Shemesh according to a court order.

This morning, the suspect's detention was extended by the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court from four days, until 18 November 2022.
