Wayne County GOP members rescind votes to certify election, claim Dems 'bullied' them

The two Republicans on Michigan’s Wayne County Board of Canvassers claimed in signed affidavits Wednesday that they were bullied into siding with Democrats and have now rescinded their votes to certify.

The two Republicans -- Monica Palmer and William C. Hartmann -- were involved in a brief deadlock in the county’s election certification process Tuesday before initially voting to certify.

Wayne County, which includes Detroit, is Michigan's most populous county, with more than 1.7 million residents.

Both Republicans say they were called racists and subjected to threats for raising concerns about ballots that Democrats said were from predominately Black communities, Jenna Ellis, a lawyer for the Trump 2020 Campaign, told Fox News on Tuesday.

Hartmann said in the affidavit that he observed about 71% of Detroit's 134 Absent Voter Counting Boards "were left unbalanced and many unexplained."

He said he voiced his concerns and said if the votes did not match, there should have been some kind of explanation. Powell said she spotted the same discrepancy.

“I voted not to certify, and I still believe this vote should not be certified. Until these questions are addressed, I remain opposed to certification of the Wayne County results,” Hartmann said in his affidavit, according to JustTheNews, which was first to report on their decision to rescind.

Palmer said in her affidavit that she faced “accusations of racism” and threats to her family.

"We will recognize BDS as the cancer it is " ...Pompeo

PM Netanyahu and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke Thursday during the latter's visit to Israel.

Prime Minister Netanyahu praised the Trump administration for its promotion of Middle East peace initiatives.

"The peace process with Arab states has succeeded only in the merit of the great efforts expended by the Trump administration," Netanyahu said.

Mike Pompeo discussed the impact of Trump's policies on the Middle East. "I remember the stories saying that if we moved the embassy there would be war - instead there was peace."

"The peace that we achieved is Historic," he said, and mentioned "recognizing the reality of Jerusalem as the rightful capital of Israel," noting it is "crazy that the US hadn't done this for decades".

He also said "I'm proud of the 3 Abraham Accords, and confident there will be more."

Pompeo declared that the United States will officially view the global anti-BDS campaign against Israel as anti-Semitic and stop support for such for such groups.

"We want to recognize the BDS movement for the cancer that it is", he added.

Germany the Country That Annihilated 3/4 of the Jewish People Censures Israel

Dumb M'ASS with Abbas

Maas didn’t spell out what unilateral measures he was concerned about. But on Monday, his office criticized Israel’s public call for tenders to build settlements in eastern Jerusalem.

By Associated Press

Germany’s foreign minister warned Tuesday against unilateral steps that could hurt Mideast peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians following the change in administration in the United States.

President Donald Trump has strongly backed Israel during his four-year term, declaring Jerusalem the Jewish state’s capital, tolerating Israeli settlements in Palestinian territories and pushing Arab countries to normalize relations with Israel.

“Creating facts unilaterally won’t help us in this already difficult situation,” Germany’s top diplomat, Heiko Maas, told reporters after meeting with his Palestinian counterpart in Berlin. “But no doors should be slammed shut either, in view of developments in the United States.”

Maas didn’t spell out what unilateral measures he was concerned about. But on Monday, his office criticized Israel’s public call for tenders to build settlements in eastern Jerusalem as a “step that sends the wrong signal at the wrong time.”

Maas noted that U.S. president-elect Joe Biden agrees with Germany’s position that a negotiated two-state solution should be the basis for peace talks between the parties.

The Palestinian foreign minister, Riyad al-Maliki, said he sees in Biden’s election “a window of opportunity, and we want to take advantage of that window of opportunity in order really just to open a new page.”

Al-Maliki added that “we suffered tremendously, as Palestine, from Trump’s policies.”

Raw Apples Not Kosher?

By Rabbi Yair Hoffman for 5tjt.com

Recently, a family member purchased apples from Costco.  The label on it states in small lettering that there is a coating on it which may very well be halachically problematic.  Echoing the words of Rabbi Akiva, we can warn readers –  “Sheli, veshelachem – shellac.”

It is a problem that dates back to the 1980’s.  At the time, the Agudah tried fighting it at the state level, but, unfortunately, they lost.  New York State law allows apple producers to coat apples with shellac.

After apples are picked off the trees, growers often wash them to remove bugs, dirt and leaf litter. Most of the apple’s natural wax is washed away dulling the apple’s appearance.  A coat of edible synthetic wax is used to replace it to make up for it. Mostly, this is either shellac or carnauba wax.  They help to both seal in the moisture and extend the shelf life of the fruit.

But where does shellac come from?

It comes from a beetle known as Kerria Lacca.

Jack Dorsey CEO of Twitter suggests That Trump Will be Booted From Twitter come January.

Jack Dorsey said Tuesday that Donald Trump's tweets will no longer be protected once he's out of office and suggested he could be booted from the platform come January.

'We do have a policy around public interest where for global leaders we do make exceptions in terms of whether – if a tweet violates our terms of service, we leave it up,' Dorsey said in explaining a policy that differs between normal users and the president.

'So, if an account becomes – is not a world leader anymore, that particular policy goes away,' he said while being questioned at a Senate Judiciary hearing on social media transparency on Tuesday.

Dorsey explained during his line of question with Democratic Senator Mazie Hirono that world leaders' tweets are left up, even if they violate Twitter's terms of service, but that the sharing capabilities are limited.

'Will he still get to use your platforms to spread disinformation?' Hirono asked.

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who was also called to answer questions related to Big Tech's handling of information, revealed his website also has somewhat of a different handling of accounts for politicians when compared to the general public.

'In terms of President Trump and moving forward, there are a small number of policies where we have exceptions for politicians under the principle that people should be able to hear what their elected officials are saying – and candidates for office,' he said.

Zuckerberg, unlike Dorsey, however, said that there are no exceptions to their rules for world leaders or other politicians.

The Facebook boss also came under fire from senators for dodging questions.

Many times, Zuckerberg responded to senators by saying he either could not recall a particular instance or would have to get back to the members of the panel regarding a specific inquiry.

Driver crashes through storefront window in Queens in road-rage attack ... Watch it Happen!

An enraged motorist plowed into a rival — and straight through the front window of a Queens bakery — in a road-rage attack on Monday, video obtained by the Post shows.

The events unfolded around 2 p.m. at 41-21 Kissena Boulevard in Flushing when two men driving a BMW had a dispute with the driver and passenger of a white Audi with New Jersey plates that was double parked there, cops said.

Video shows the foursome throwing punches in the street with one of them even striking another repeatedly with a bat.

At one point, one of the men returns to his car and begins to drive away but the man with the bat follows him and strikes his car.

The driver then appears to floor his vehicle and strike the man with the bat from behind, before crashing through the bakery window, leaving pedestrians on the sidewalk with minor injuries, cops said. The pedestrians were treated at area hospitals, cops said.

Driver Jie Zou, 24, was charged with assault and reckless endangerment, according to cops. Jonathan Zhang, 35, was charged with assault, cops said.

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn Takes on Dictator Cuomo in US Supreme Court

New York’s dictatorial Gov. Andrew Cuomo may have finally met his match. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Brooklyn, led by Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio, is asking the US Supreme Court to strike down Cuomo’s Oct. 6 executive order virtually shutting down houses of worship in areas of Brooklyn and Queens. This, even as the governor allowed supposedly essential businesses like pet stores and big-box retailers to remain open.

Cuomo insists he is battling COVID-19. The diocese counters that the governor is making a value judgment that going to Target is essential, but taking communion isn’t. The diocese is right: For devout Catholics already suffering social isolation during the lockdown, finding church doors closed is soul-crushing.

Before Cuomo’s executive order, churches were already following safety precautions, including roping off every other pew, requiring masks and urging social distancing. The executive order disregarded that and capped attendance at 10 people for all churches, even massive ones with the capacity to fit 1,200 or more souls.

Where’s the science here?

Guy Tears the Palestinian Flag Away From Meah Shearim Animals and Draws His gun When they try To Retrieve It

Every Rosh Chodosh, a group of Meah Shearim rats march down the streets of Yerushalayim and carry Palestinian flags shouting their allegiance to Abbas ..

Well they didn't count on an outraged pedestrian, who ripped the flag from one of these rodents... and when the rat ran after him to grab it back, they guy calmly drew his gun  ...
that stopped the rat in his tracks ... and it turned into a scared mouse.
But then chaos erupted.. as many got involved and began to remove the flat "beeber" hats from them and threw the hats in oncoming traffic...
police broke it up and the guy with the gun disappeared ..
