101 Muhammads Jailed by U.S. Anti-Terror Agencies Since 9/11

U.S. anti-jihad agencies have jailed or arrested 101 men since 2001 who are named for Muhammad, the reputedly final and perfect prophet of Islam, despite President Barack Obama’s insistence that Islamic “violent extremism” – and the 101 Muhammads – have nothing to do with Islam.

One hundred Muhammads are listed in two Senate documents describing 711 arrests or convictions since 2001, when Khalid Sheikh Mohammed sent Mohamed Atta and 18 others to destroy the Twin Towers.

On July 5, immigrant Mohamed Bailor Jalloh was charged with aiding terrorists, making him the 101st Muhammad.

The brother of one of two soldiers killed in an apparent tragic accident in northern Israel today has told Arutz Sheva of his shock at the loss of his sibling, who he described as a remarkably dedicated soldier.

20-year-old Sergeant Shlomo Rindenow was killed along with 24-year-old Sergeant First Class Hussam Tapesh, when a hand grenade exploded under unclear circumstances as they traveled in a patrol jeep near the Syrian border.

The explosion occurred Sunday morning, but the news was only released for publication later in the afternoon to enable the military to alert the victims' families first.

Shlomo's brother Jeff spoke to Arutz Sheva shortly after news of the tragedy broke.

He said Shlomo, a lone soldier from New Jersey, was in fact the fifth brother in his family to travel to Israel and volunteer in an IDF combat role. One other brother is also currently serving in the army, as a paratrooper.

"It happened at 7 a.m. Israel time, and we were informed about it four hours later," Jeff told Arutz Sheva. He said that Israeli embassy officials imparted the devastating news personally to his family, and were accompanied by a local community rabbi.

Shlomo's father is also a well-known rabbi in the community.

"Our family will be flying into Israel tonight," he continued, adding that there was "no doubt" his brother would be buried in Israel. "He sacrificed for the land, he'll be buried in the land."

He described his youngest sibling as "100% dedicated" to the army.

"He lived and breathed being a soldier - he couldn't wait to get back to base," Jeff recounted.

The funeral is set for tomorrow (Monday), and details are to follow.

Attempted coup d'etat in Turkey, hundreds dead Turkish President reasserts control after military attempts coup. Purge of military underway.

Following a failed coup attempt mounted by Turkey’s military, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reasserted his control over the country.

After the botched attempt to overthrow the government which left more than 260 dead, Erdogan has set out to purge the judiciary and military. More than 2,700 judges have been removed and nearly 3,000 soldiers arrested.

Loyalists beat Turkish coup supporter 

The Turkish military had announced late Friday night that it had taken over power from the government, declaring that a “peaceful council” had been established “in the name of democratic order.”

Army units occupied two key bridges in Istanbul, shutting down traffic in much of the city. State television and Ankara’s airport were also seized by the military in the coup attempt. Flights to and from Ankara were cancelled following the take-over. Turkish President Erdogan issued no statements in the early hours of the coup, leading to suspicions he had been taken prisoner.

Later, Erdogan spoke out, condemning the attempted coup and placing blame on an Islamic cleric living in exile in the United States, Fethullah Gulen.

“You have engaged in enough treason against this nation,” Erdogan said in a statement. “If you dare, come back to your country.”

On Saturday, Prime Minister Binali Yildirim announced that the death toll had risen to 265, with 1,440 people wounded.

Turkish Military Says It Has Taken Over Country......FALL OF ISLAMIST GOVT... ????

The Turkish military claims to have seized control of the country amid reports of tanks and army jets in Istanbul and Ankara.

An announcer on Turkey's state broadcaster TRT has read out a live statement, reportedly on the orders of the military, saying the country is now being run by a "peace council".

It comes after the NTV broadcaster quoted the army as saying: "Power in the country has been seized in its entirety." 

The Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim has confirmed that military action is taking place, describing it as an illegal "attempt" by a faction of the army to seize power.

A Turkish state news agency is reporting that a top general is among several people being "held hostage" at the military headquarters in Ankara.

It follows media reports that ambulances have been seen in front of the building.

NTV is showing footage of tanks at the entrance to Istanbul's Ataturk airport.

It is reported that all flights have been cancelled in and out of the airport.

Military vehicles are said to be blocking two bridges in Istanbul, while military jets have been heard flying over the Turkish capital, Ankara. 

According to Turkish media, the military statement said the army had taken action to: "reinstall the constitutional order, democracy, human rights and freedoms, to ensure that the rule of law once again reigns in the country, for the law and order to be reinstated."

The military statement went on to say that "all international agreements and commitments will remain. We pledge that good relations with all world countries will continue."

Mr Yildirim has called for calm, saying security forces are doing what is necessary to resolve the situation.

He warned that those responsible for this "illegal attempt " will pay the "highest price."

ADL the Self Hating Jewish Organization Slams Republican Platform for Departure from Two-State Solution

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) welcomed the Republican Party draft platform for affirming the GOP’s unwavering support for Israel’s security and for its unequivocal rejection of the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, but expressed disappointment with the platform draft’s departure from longstanding GOP support of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, a position that differs from the stated position of Prime Minister Benjamin Bibi and prior GOP platforms.

The Republican Party’s Platform Committee proposed language says, “We reject the false notion that Israel is an occupier. Support for Israel is an expression of Americanism, and it is the responsibility of our government to advance policies that reflect Americans’ strong desire for a relationship with no daylight between America and Israel.”

One would think that a Jewish organization would support this statement of unequivocal support for Israel and the rejection of the term “occupier,” but as is often the case, the ADL disappoints.

Jonathan A. Greenblatt, ADL’s CEO, issued the following statement: “We are pleased that the platform draft affirms the GOP’s unwavering support for a strong and secure Israel with Jerusalem as its capital and unequivocally rejects the BDS movement. Both party platform drafts reflect and reinforce the broad bipartisan consensus in favor of strong U.S. support for Israel that has endured for decades.”

Greenblatt continued: “We are disappointed that the platform draft departs from longstanding support of a two-state solution to the Israeli Palestinian conflict – and the shared vision of successive American presidents and prime ministers of Israel, including the current leadership in both countries, who believed it was the only viable way to secure Israel as both a Jewish and democratic state. We hope the delegates will reconsider and reaffirm this pillar of U.S. policy toward Israel in the final platform.”

Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D-Brooklyn) expressed how disappointed he was in the Anti-Defamation League (ADL).

“I am sorely disappointed in the ADL for having criticized the Republican Party for excluding a two-state solution language from its platform,” Assemblyman Hikind said. “Shame on the ADL for completely contradicting its mission of why it exists.”

Hikind suggested rather than interfere with politics, the ADL should instead focus on continuing to do great work on combating anti-Semitism on a global scale. “I have the utmost respect for the ADL,” he said. “The work it has done, and continues to do, in fighting and educating millions of people on anti-Semitism is nothing short of impressive. But to stick its nose in politics is unacceptable and frustrating to say the least.”

It's absolute chaos'

A spokesman for the Alpes Maritime prefecture advised locals to ‘stay indoors’ as gunfire was heard, and a lorry was driven into a crowd on the Promenade des Anglais, Peter Allen reports.

Bodies could be seen lying on the floor by the beach, as the police and other emergency services tried to deal with a mass panic. 

Fireworks were filling the night sky as the drama unfolded, as the crowds enjoyed July 14th, which is always a Bank Holiday in France.  

"It is absolute chaos,” said an eye witness who works in the Nice judiciary.

"There are reports of dozens of people killed, and many more injured. Bodies are lying everywhere.

"Police are flooding the streets, including anti-terrorism officers.  Nobody knows what to do, except to hide away. Gunmen are meant to be targeting hotels." 

The lorry was seen mounting the pavement and piling into anyone the driver could see, ramming over those who tried to run away.

The area around the Promenade is full of hotels and restaurants, which were all packed at the height of the holiday season.
