Yeah, this is the gift that keeps giving. On one hand, I get why it happened. The Speaker of Parliament who clearly doesn't know history, found a constituent who fought for Ukraine against the Russians 80 years ago! Perfect! One generation salutes another. How touching! And it really didn't occur to the guy - hmmmmm, in whose army would the Ukrainians have been fighting against the Russians? But here's what non-Canadians don't realize - the prime minister has a contempt of Parliament. Having to face the Opposition, respond to their questions and justify his initiatives is beneath him. He's made that very clear since CoVID started and he had his excuse to limit Parliament's sittings. Now, with no speaker, Parliament is again "temporarily" shut down. A bit too convenient.
60 minutes just did a story how the us gave ukraine over 25 billion in non military aid including paying the salaries of ukrainian municipal workers keeping small businesses open with grants and loans. its ridiculous that american citizens cant afford rent and groceries but a ukrainain shopkeeper gets propped up by the us taxpayer. let the descendants of the ukrainian nazis who killed over 1.6 million jews (besides the hundreds of thousands killed throughout ukrainian history) pay for their own war for "freedom and democracy".
