ISRAELI SCIENTISTS FIND CURE FOR CANCER.... BDS & Satmar Hope They Don't Get Sick!

A small team of Israeli scientists think they might have found the first complete cure for cancer.

“We believe we will offer in a year’s time a complete cure for cancer,” said Dan Aridor, of a new treatment being developed by his company, Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies Ltd. (AEBi), which was founded in 2000 in the ITEK incubator in the Weizmann Science Park. AEBi developed the SoAP platform, which provides functional leads to very difficult targets.

“Our cancer cure will be effective from day one, will last a duration of a few weeks and will have no or minimal side-effects at a much lower cost than most other treatments on the market,” Aridor said. “Our solution will be both generic and personal.”

It sounds fantastical, especially considering that an estimated 18.1 million new cancer cases are diagnosed worldwide each year, according to reports by the International Agency for Research on Cancer. Further, every sixth death in the world is due to cancer, making it the second leading cause of death (second only to cardiovascular disease).

Frum Guy With "Langeh Rekel" jumps into Ocean and saves surfer.... Captured on Film

A Frum surfer who decided that he wasn't going to surf on the Herzliya beach, due to the water's height,  saved the life of another surfer.
At 10:13, a report was received at the MDA 101 center in the Yarkon area: "A surfer was injured during a surfing, after apparently hitting the breakwater south of the marina in Herzliya."
The rescue organization's statement said paramedics and paramedics provided medical treatment and evacuated a 42-year-old man to Ichilov Hospital in a moderate condition, with bruises all over his body.
Dramatic images published by the photographer Nissim Aton reveal the exciting human drama in this story. A man with a full ultra-Orthodox appearance, could be seen fighting the waves, wearing his long coat deep in the sea .
"The same ultra-Orthodox man came to the beach to surf, but after a while he surfed, he noticed that the situation at the sea was dangerous -  so he got out of the water, sat on Beach to rest ".
And here the drama began: "After a few minutes sitting there, he noticed that there was another surfer, who was actually drowning."
Without hesitation, the ultra-Orthodox  "He jumped into the water to save the surfer who drowned, and at the end of all the effort he succeeded."
It was Nissim Eton, the photographer, who summoned Magen David Ador , while he also managed to document the drama, which, as stated, ended well: the life of the Israeli who drowned was saved.
Another photographer, Dror Ezra, wrote: "At the southern beach in Herzliya, a regular surfer got in trouble and got stuck on the rocks, was badly wounded and was evacuated in an ambulance ... I did not see what happened, "I do not know his name, but he definitely deserves a medal and appreciation," the photographer added excitedly in a post he published.

Entenmann's Donuts Gets Hechsher Again !

The largest baking company in the United States will be keeping kosher certification on nearly all of its bread and rolls after all, JTAreported on Friday.

Bimbo Bakeries USA was set to remove kosher certification from major bread labels like Arnold and Sara Lee this year, but will no longer be doing so. The reversal comes after talks with the two kosher agencies that certified the bread, the Orthodox Union and Kof-K, according to the report.

“After hearing from our loyal kosher consumers and after productive meetings with our kosher certifiers, Bimbo Bakeries USA is pleased to announce that we will once again be offering kosher products under the Arnold, Sara Lee and Ball Park brands,” the company announced.

Bimbo Bakeries USA produces brands including Arnold, Sara Lee, Stroehmann, Freihofer's and others. It also produces Entenmann's and Thomas which would have remained certified kosher even if the kosher certification on the other brands were to be removed.

Officials at the kosher agencies told JTA last year that Bimbo bread labels were crucial for consumers outside major Jewish population centers who want kosher-certified bread.
Bimbo Bakeries USA is the US division of Grupo Bimbo, the Mexican company that is the world’s largest bakery.

Ancient coin With The Name Of Chashmonim King found on school trip

A student found the ancient coin in the eastern part of the stream during a recent school trip to the Shilo Valley.

The student asked the group’s tour guide about the coin, who then contacted the officer in charge of the Archeology Staff of the Civil Administration who came to the group. The student then handed the coin over.

The coin seems to be from the time of Agrippa I, who was a descendant of the Hasmonean dynasty from the Hanukkah story and the grandson of Herod. He ruled Judea in the 40s of the first century CE.

The coin has three stalks minted on one side, and the other side has a royal canopy surrounded by the inscription “King Agrippa.”.

“It is an exciting find. Every archaeological find has a story behind it that sheds light on the history of Land of Israel and the Nation of Israel,” said Hananya Hezmi, an officer of the archaeology staff at the Civil Administration.

“Findings like these complete another part of the historical puzzle of our people.”

Deri supported transferring the money to Hamas

He presents himself as a right-wing man, but when he sits in the cabinet he represents the left, his positions are all left-wing.

Last week in a cabinet meeting he supported transferring the money to Hamas.

Anyone who votes for Shas as long as Deri is in his head votes for a left-wing party, and only a fool would believe him!

"Rav"

On this daf, the Talmud relates that Resh Lakish and Reb Yochanan were sitting in the Bet Medrash and were discussing halachois in the name of Rav!

Who was Rav?

Rav was born in Baval and his actual name was Rav Abba bar Aiyvoh .... he was called "Rav" because he was the Rebbe of the entire Jewish people that lived in Galut!

R' Chiyah who was the distinct student of Reb Yehuda Ha'Nasie was Rav's uncle.
When R' Chiyah decided to make Aliyah, he took his nephew, Rav, with him and placed him in the Yeshivah of Reb Yehuda Ha'Nasie, where Rav thrived and became a great talmudic scholar.

Rav decided to return to Baval, his birthplace, but not before he received "Smicha" from Reb Yehuda Ha'Nasie which gave him the license to Judge and to Teach.

After a couple years in Baval, Rav again returned to Eretz Yisroel to continue his studies with Reb Yehuda and after R' Yehuda's demise, Rav continued learning with Rav Gamliel Ha'Nasie the son of R' Yehuda.
He then returned to Baval once more.

Leftists Now Fighting the "MAGA" Hats ...

Earlier this week we commented on the controversy involving an "Alter Kocker" Native American "veteran" banging his drum in the face of a high school kid wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.
Leftists were outraged and accused the kid of racism. There were many vicious tweets—some calling for violence against the kid and his high school, including some death threats.
Then the Indian vet was shown to be a fraud. He didn’t serve in Vietnam and in fact he was a professional protestor and agitator. He aggressively zoomed in on the hat-wearing kid to provoke a reaction, to be used against Trump and his supporters.
I thought the story would quickly die down once it was proven that the Indian was the aggressor. I expected the Deep State media to ignore the story since it wasn’t going their way, but the reporting dragged on. I began to realize it wasn’t about the kids at all, but rather the MAGA hats they wore.

New Muslim Rep Omar Had Asked Judge for Leniency Toward Men Trying to Join ISIS

Embattled congressional freshman Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) once asked a judge to show leniency toward a group of Minnesota men accused of trying to join the Islamic State terror group.
“The best deterrent to fanaticism is a system of compassion,” Omar wrote at the time. “We must alter our attitude and approach; if we truly want to effect change, we should refocus our efforts on inclusion and rehabilitation.”
The nine Minnesota men were facing decades in prison after being accused in 2015 of making plans, including buying fake passports, in an effort to travel to Syria and fight for ISIS, which was at its peak level of activity and held territory in Syria and Iraq.
Omar, who was then a Minnesota state representative, was part of a group that sent letters to Judge Michael Davis urging him to give shorter sentences, arguing that harsher penalties would only lead to more people joining the terror group.

FBI in helmets and with sharpshooters  raided Stone’s home in Florida and arrested him on Friday. Stone opened the door with his glasses and was in pajamas....
Stone was released on a $250,000 bond. He served as an adviser to Donald Trump during his 2016 presidential campaign.

Naftali Moster "crying" That Isaac Abraham is Threatening Him!

I don't like complaining or playing the victim card, but I think occasionally it's important to share with the public the stress affiliated with my work because I do count on your support and encouragement to get by. I usually don't show it, but at times it's pretty unbearable.
Every single day I worry where the next attack or threat will come from. There are times where I obsessively have to check our security cameras and check on family members to see if they're ok.
I know people are accustomed to this and practically expect me to be the target of attacks, both character attacks and potentially physical ones. Friends ask me all the time what precautions I take to ensure mine and my family's safety. When I go around speaking in synagogues and other places I often get asked point blank “how are you not dead?” But none of this is normal, and it's sad that we expect so little professionalism and restraint from our opponents who are defending the status quo in the Yeshivas. My counterparts in other advocacy groups, such as Alliance for Quality Education, don't receive these threats (I think). My counterparts at Masbia don't face these threats (I imagine). Unfortunately to the contrary, it's people like the father & son Rappaport who attack me daily.
I have spent a lot more time on the phone and in person with police and detectives than I'd like to or than I should have to. And these things aren't clear cut. When you find the person who made a direct threat at you, you don't really get to celebrate or make an example out of them.
Like that time I got an explicit death threat in Yiddish in a voicemail. No one knows this part of the story: The police tracked him down to a home in Williamsburg. He begged me not to press charges, so I asked him to make a public apology. He wrote me a letter apologizing, but in it he begged me not to make it public because he's a divorcee and in his community that's already a huge stigma which would be exacerbated. What am I going to do? Ruin his life? He's a victim of the system.
Then there was an incident that happened a few weeks ago when someone emailed Yaffed and cursed me to get a disease and die a painful death. Many people saw that email. What you don't know is that less than 24 hours later a man by that last name showed up at my home while I was away and dropped off a strange little package of homemade food with my unsuspecting wife (who didn't know his last name matched the one of the email sender). The terror that I experienced when I got the innocent call from my wife that some nice guy dropped off food for me, and me realizing that other than that email I don't know anyone by that last name. So we spent Friday night filing a complaint with a police officer because we weren't sure what was in the food. The crazy thing is it may have been a fan, someone who meant well. And that's the most disturbing thing that we can't appreciate a good gesture (if it was). Again, there's no resolution to that mystery.
Then there's this “spokesperson,” Isaac Abraham (see pic) and his not-so-subtle threat. And the army of Twitter trolls, including an elected official from Rockland county, who share my pictures, my cell number, my former home address, my salary etc. Now they're going over old tweets and stuff. You wonder how much money they spend trying to dig up or fabricate dirt on you, to destroy you, so that you can't keep up your work.
If there's one person out there who can handle this kind of stress, I'm sure I've proven to be that person. But why should I have to?
Again, if we expect this from them, it's because we've gotten used to it and have a low regard for the community and/or its leaders. I, for one, don't accept the status quo, and I expect there to be a certain level of professionalism where we can argue and disagree on the issues without intimidating and attacking those advocating for change.
Sorry for the rant.
Share widely if you agree.

“Schnapps vs. Wine” For Kiddush Day ... A Halachic Analysis

DIN: I'm Surprised that Rabbi Hoffman totally ignores the Teshuvah of R' Moshe Feinstein z"l?
Rav Moshe Feinstein rules that you may make day-time kiddush on any alcoholic drink you would serve a guest. This leniency is because daytime kiddush is only of rabbinic origin, while night-time kiddush is of biblical origin.

By Rabbi Yair Hoffman for 5tjt.com

It can be called the Great “Schnapps vs. Wine” Wars.

Well, my father, and his father, had this minhag from Europe!”
“Yes, but the Mishna Brurah, holds that -”
“I don’t care what the Mishna Brurah says – that was written for those people without a family minhag!”
These arguments have been heard in shuls since this author was a child and probably long before that too.
It is Shabbos morning. You desperately need to hear Kiddush in order to eat or drink something or you will nearly pass out. Someone offers to make Kiddush for you and does so – on a small one ounce Schnapps glass of whiskey. What is the halacha?
THE KIDDUSH OBLIGATIONS
In this week’s Parasha, we lein the Aseres haDibros – the Ten Commandments.  In commandment number four we read, “Remember the Shabbos day to keep it holy.”  From here, the Rabbis derived that there is a Torah obligation to sanctify Shabbos with Kiddush.  The Kiddush on Shabbos day (as opposed to the Friday night Kiddush) is a Rabbinic obligation.  On both Kiddush obligations, the Rabbis obligated its recitation upon wine (Psachim 106a) – when available.  On the Friday evening Kiddush, however, if wine is not available – it may be recited upon challah or bread.

Frum Family Kicked Off American Airlines Flight After Passengers Complain About Body Odor

The following is via Local10:
A family vacationing in Miami told Local 10 News they were booted from their flight after passengers complained about their body odor.
“There’s no body odor that we have,” Yossi Adler said Thursday morning at Miami International Airport. “There’s nothing wrong with us.”

Adler, his wife and their 19-month-old daughter were preparing to fly back home to Detroit on Wednesday night when they were escorted off their American Airlines flight.
“All of a sudden, as soon as they took us off, they closed the gate and then they said, ‘Sorry, sir, some people complained you had body odor and we’re not letting you back on,'” Adler recalled.
The Adlers said they were told their luggage would be taken off the plane, but that didn’t happen, leaving them with only the clothes on their backs.
“They have our car seat, stroller, everything,” Jennie Adler said.
American Airlines sent a statement to Local 10 on Wednesday night acknowledging the reason for their removal.

6 Biggest Losers of Last Week’s Fake News Fiasco

This is an analysis of “reputational damage,” meaning organizations and individuals who have damaged (or further damaged) their public standing.

For that reason, you won’t find CNN, the Washington Post, the New York Times, NBC News, or Bill Kristol on this list. As reprehensible as their behavior has been over the past week, their reputations are already in the toilet.

But there were those with residual integrity who did take a hit, and in some cases, a major one.
BuzzFeed’s fake news about President Trump suborning perjury and the media jihad to demonize the innocent boys of Covington Catholic High School came with a real cost.

Democrat Presidential Hopefuls Court Anti-Semite Al Sharpton, Ignore That He Was Responsible For Killing Yankel Rosenbaum

Dumb Jew Bloomberg hugging the Jew Murderer

Democratic presidential hopefuls are courting Rev. Al Sharpton and his National Action Network (NAN) as they jockey for support in the increasingly crowded 2020 primary field — ignoring Sharpton’s controversial history.

Kristen Gillibrand Elected by Jews in NY

Former Vice President Joe Biden and former New York City mayor Mike Bloomberg both joined Sharpton and NAN for a breakfast in Washington, DC, in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day on Monday morning.

Sharpton has a long history of controversial racial rhetoric. In the notorious Tawana Brawley case in 1987, Sharpton backed a teenager’s false accusations of rape, stirring racial divisions in New York and across the country. When he was successfully sued for defamation, he refused to pay the judgement, and supporters had to step in on his behalf. Sharpton still refuses to apologize for his role.
In 1991, Sharpton helped incite riots against religious Jews in the Crown Heights neighborhood of Brooklyn after a black child was killed in a car accident. An enraged mob murdered a visiting Jewish religious student, Yankel Rosenbaum.
Rosenbaum’s brother told Breitbart News in 2012: “I have never seen a person be able to avoid being held accountable in substantive terms for his various and significant serious otherwise well publicized misdeeds over such a prolonged period of time, as Sharpton. This is truly an indictment on all those who have done so in the past and continue to do so.”
In another riot in 1995, Sharpton led protests against Freddy’s Fashion Mart, a Jewish-owned store in Harlem, after it was forced to raise the rent on a sub-tenant, a black-owned record store. (Sharpton called the owner a “white interloper.”)
One of the protesters later shot four employees and set the store on fire, bringing the death total to seven.

PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY PAID NIS 502M TO TERRORIST PRISONERS

The Palestinian Authority spent at least NIS 502 million in payments to terrorist prisoners in 2018, according to a report released Thursday by the Israeli research institute Palestinian Media Watch.
PMW has provided the Ministry of Defense with its calculations ahead of a first-time implementation of the Stern Law, an Israeli law that was approved in July 2018 and that is supposed to be implemented for the first time in January 2019.

The law mandates that the government deduct on a monthly basis one-twelfth of the sum given to support terrorists and their families from the taxes and tariffs Israel collects and transfers to the Palestinian Authority based on the amount distributed in the previous year – in this case, in 2018.
