South African chief justice given 10 days to apologize for defending Israel
South Africa’s Judicial Conduct Appeals Committee issued a statement on Thursday giving former Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng 10 days to make an “unconditional apology for becoming involved in political controversy.”
“I’m under an obligation as a Christian to love Israel, to pray for [the] peace of Jerusalem, which actually means the peace of Israel, and I cannot, as I Christian, do anything other than love and pray for Israel, because I know, hatred for Israel by me and for my nation, can only attract unprecedented curses upon our nation,” Mogoeng stated in July 2020 during a webinar discussion with South African Chief Rabbi Warren Goldstein that was hosted by The Jerusalem Post.
"Did Israel take away our land or the land of Africa? Did Israel take our mineral wealth? We’ve got to move from a position of principle here,” he said.
The anti-Israel group Africa4Palestine, the South African branch of the BDS movement, filed a complaint over the chief justice’s comments, accusing him of breaching the judicial code of conduct.
Jordanian Document Proves Jerusalem’s Disputed Sheikh Jarrah Properties Are Jewish-Owned
An English-language document from Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates proves that properties in Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood (today known as Shimon HaTzaddik) are Jewish-owned.
The contract between the Kingdom of Jordan and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency in 1954, published last year by Jordan’s official Petra news agency, documents an agreement for an “urban housing project of Sheikh Jarrah Quarter, Jerusalem.”
The official Jordanian document proves Jewish ownership of the currently disputed homes in the Shimon HaTzaddik neighborhood, with up-to-date official stamps proving its legal truth.

The woman who allegedly told three Jewish kids “Hitler should have killed you all” before spitting on an 8-year-old boy in Brooklyn has been arrested, cops said Friday.
Suspect Christina Darling, a 21-year-old student at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, was busted Friday morning and charged with aggravated harassment and menacing, both as hate crimes, and acting in a manner injurious to a child, NYPD Hate Crimes said.
“I’m glad she was found & charged with a crime but what in G-d’s name is going on in this country that an adult would target innocent kids with such hatred?” former state Assemblyman Dov Hikind of Brooklyn raged on Twitter.
Darling is accused of storming up to the boy, who was with two other kids, around 12:30 p.m. Jan. 14 on Avenue P near Coleman Street in Marine Park, about five blocks from her home, police said.
She snarled at the kids, “Hitler should have killed you all. I’ll kill you and know where you live,” cops said.

Listen: Texas gunman rants about Jews in final phone call
The gunman who took four people hostage at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas, this past Shabbat, told his brother in a phone call before being shot dead by security forces, "I'm opening the doors for every youngster in England to enter America and f*** with them”.
The recording of the conversation between the gunman, Malik Faisal Akram, and his brother, was published on Thursday by UK-based JewishChronicle, which obtained the recording from a security source.
The brother, Gulbar, was speaking from a police station in the British town of Blackburn, in an attempt to persuade Akram to surrender.
“Live your f***ing life bro, you f***ing coward. We’re coming to f***ing America. F*** them if they want to f*** with us. We’ll give them f***ing war,” he said in the conversation, in which he also boasted about his desire for martyrdom. "I've asked Allah for this death, Allah is with me, I'm not worried in the slightest,” raged the gunman, according to The Jewish Chronicle.

30 years ago this fiend opened up a Yeshiva and of course a mikva in Givat Shaul after he was kicked out of Bobov because he was a danger to the boys in Yeshiva.
In Givat Shaul over 15 boys complained to the Eida Hachreidis Bais Din that the Chistar Rebbe was a dangerous serial sexual predator .
So what did the Eida Hachreidis do after they investigated and found all the boys credible?
They banished him from Givat Shaul and told him to move to the town of Emanual.
But he couldn't stay there too long ; when he continued doing "Maaseh Sdom" the parents wanted to kill him.
The Eida was notified and said they can no longer control him, but refused to publicize and warn the Chareidie communities of this murderer of children. They said it was " mesirah." He also didn't own a "smartphone" so he was still a Tzaddik.
Meanwhile the monster moved to Elad and opened a chassidishe court and continued to molest countless children with the full knowledge of the Eida!
After the Elad community got wind of the fact that they have a murderer in their midst they started to make his life miserable and so he moved to Beit Shemesh. Beit Shemesh has enough of Chassidishe and non-Chassidishe molesters and didn't need another one, so they sent him packing.
He then settled in Ramat Shlomo in Yerushalayim, his familiar hunting grounds, and continued to fulfil his sexual fantasies, taking advantage of young innocent children.
Finally one of them after getting fed up with the Gedoilim looking away and covering up for these murderers, and making Walder a martyr, made a complaint in the Beit Shemesh Police Department, and he was finally arrested!
The hands of the Eida Hachreidis' hands are full of blood !
But nothing will change unless the victims continue to report these to the secular authorities. Hopefully the tide has changed.

Facebook Wants to take down Hillel Neuer's Account "UN Watch"
The director of a pro-Israel watchdog group revealed on Monday that Facebook has threatened to delete his personal page after limiting many of his posts from public view, citing content that violates the social media platform’s terms of service. But the social media giant won’t elaborate on what it finds offensive about the account.
Hillel Neuer, executive director of the NGO UN Watch, which highlights bias against Israel at the United Nations, said Facebook sent him a notification warning that his personal page is “at risk of being unpublished” due to “continued Community Standards violations.”
However, the social media titan cited just one example of an “offensive” post published by Neuer, which featured an image of a Taliban gunman with a caption calling out Ben & Jerry’s for boycotting Judea and Samaria but not the terror group controlling Afghanistan.
Facebook said that post had earned Neuer a “strike” against his account, adding that the post had been partially hidden from public view – even from the tens of thousands of people who specifically follow him on the platform.
The platform also deleted the post, which he said had been shared on Twitter with no indication that the content violated community standards.

A 70-year-old rabbi was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of sexual offenses on a family member as well as a minor, Israel Hayom reported.
The suspect, a Jerusalem resident, was questioned shortly after his arrest following complaints at the Beit Shemesh police station about indecent acts he committed several years ago.
Police will request an extension of his detention for further investigation.

This is the latest edition of the Satmar Yiddish Weekly called "Der Yid"
On the byline on the bottom on the extreme right, they report on the protests organized by the Eida Hachreidis against stores that sell phones in Yerushalayim without the "hashgacha" of the extremists.
What's interesting is that the store they target on a daily basis in Geula does not carry any "smart phones". I know that store very well and I shop there from my phone accessories. I understand that the Eida Hachreidis extorts money from storekeepers to force them to get "The Hashgacha." And this particular storekeeper told me that he will not cave in, despite them destroying his property countless times. He says he has high rent and cannot afford the exorbitant Hashgacha fees, and abides by the Gedoilim's decree that "Smartphones" are prohibited, but refuses to pay them "mafia fees"
But I'm getting away from what I really want to talk about and that's the hypocrisy of the editors of Der Yid!
Side by side on the left side of this report, on the bottom of the page, Der Yid reports on the latest story that the Biden's Justice department will allow most Federal inmates that committed white collar crimes to go free.
The byline of this report has the caption: הודו לה' "Thanks to Hashem"
The editors don't see the irony of these stories that they placed side by side.
The readers of this rag get the impression that to defraud people, banks and the US government the "Medina shel Chesed" is fine but to own a smartphone is going against the Torah!
Don't get me wrong I'm all for frum Jews who are rotting in Federal Correctional facilities to get a break and I support the efforts of the askanim who lobbied for this, but reading Der Yid's front page headlines seeing which stories they lend importance to, makes me cringe!
They had no story about a frum man who infiltrated Chareidie society to contaminate and abuse innocent Chareidie women and children. One of the tzaddikim who eulogized Chaim Walder the monster, said that he owned no "smart phone"!
Chareidim backed Nechemya Weberman a fake therapist who tortured and burned his victims with cigarettes, and they backed Yisrael Weingarten who was convicted of sleeping with his own daughters .

Golan covered in white as Jerusalem braces for first snow in years
The residents of the Golan Heights in northern Israel woke up Wednesday to a thick layer of snow covering the ground, with a dusting also expected in the higher peaks of central Israel including, possibly, Jerusalem.
Emergency, rescue and medical services were gearing up for a major storm that is set to last through Thursday.
Police said major roads in the Golan have been closed to traffic while schools in the area remained shut due to the weather conditions.
The snow began on the highest peaks early Wednesday and spread to the rest of the plateau, with some falling on the Galilee highlands.
On Mount Hermon, the highest point in the country, 15 centimeters of snow fell at the lower levels while on the summit 25 centimeters of snow gathered. Due to the weather, the site’s ski center was closed.
Temperatures are expected to drop during the course of the day across the country. Flood warnings were issued in coastal and other low-lying areas.
Heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms, will continue along the coastal plain until Thursday.

The new Florida? Record number of US retirees relocate to Israel in 2021
A few weeks ago, Joel Tenenbaum, 81, and Marilyn Berkowitz, 84, arrived in Tel Aviv on an El Al flight from New York ready to start their new lives in Israel.
They had met through JDate five years earlier. Each was widowed; Tenebaum had been married for 47 years, Berkowitz, known as Lyn, for 49.
A retired New York trial lawyer raised in Brooklyn, Tenenbaum always had felt an affinity for Israel — fueled since childhood by Hebrew school and the movie “Exodus.” Berkowitz, a former university dean’s assistant in New Jersey, had been a frequent visitor to Israel ever since her son moved here in 1991.
Both are longtime volunteers for the Israeli nonprofit organization Sar-El. They now share a rental apartment in Tel Aviv’s trendy Florentin neighborhood, close to the ulpan where they will soon enroll in an intensive Hebrew language program.
“A lot of our contemporaries have gone to Florida,” Berkowitz said. “But I think they should become sandbirds, not snowbirds.”

Now, according to the Ynet news site, at least one of the complainants has filed an official police complaint against Shwamenfeld, a longtime host on the popular Kol Berama radio station that serves the ultra-Orthodox community.
The woman, now 31, told Ynet that she was 19 when she first heard Shwamenfeld’s radio show and decided to reach out to him via Facebook. “We started to correspond. At a certain point he suggested we meet, but I didn’t want to,” she said. But she said Shwamenfeld convinced her to meet and “promised it would be interesting.”

IDF to allow married soldiers to return home for day of mikva immersion
The IDF has decided that every conscript who is married will now be entitled to a day off on the day a female soldier herself or a male soldier's wife immerses in the mikvah.
According to the new policy, the details of which have been distributed to all units in the past week, the policy will allow soldiers to take off for 24 hours which will not be counted towards the soldier's vacation days.
In the document that was distributed, it was emphasized that "the commander of the soldier is obligated to allow departure for the arranged day set forth in the policy, he can influence the date of departure." It was further emphasized that "this policy will be reviewed by the Personnel Division."
Under the new policy, soldiers in training will be entitled to return home one day each month, while soldiers who have completed their training and are performing their regular service will be entitled to return home one day every two months.
Major Eddie Schwartz, Assistant Chief Military Rabbi, welcomed the new directive in an internal WhatsApp group of the military rabbinate. "The issue of release on the night of immersion for married soldiers has been a complex issue for years," he wrote. "At the end of hard work, which began at the initiative of the rabbi of the Nahal Brigade, and continued with the work of the IDF training staff, a directive was issued last week that every married soldier would be entitled to a monthly 'arrangement day'."
"This will not solve all the cases, and it is important to remember that there are certainly operational constraints, but the new directive will solve many of the cases."
Under Jewish law (halakha), a woman who discerns menstrual blood cannot have relations with her husband for seven days after her menstrual flow has ended (a period of at least five days) and until at the end of the seven days she immerses in a ritual bath (mikvah). The new regulations will benefit religious soldiers who follow the halakha.

Jeff Cohen, one of four people held hostage by a gunman at Congregation Beth Israel in Colleyville, Texas, this past Shabbat, recalled the harrowing experience in an interview with Israel’s Channel 12 News on Monday.
In the interview with journalist Yuna Leibzon, Cohen said the terrorist made antisemitic remarks, saying Jews control the world and the media. He also stated that the hostages eventually escaped and were not rescued by security forces as reported.
“It’s been reported that we were released or that we were rescued. That is not the truth. The truth is that we escaped. We escaped because we were preparing all along to take the initiative when we could have it,” said Cohen.
“I strategically and tactfully made sure that I was sitting near an exit,” he recalled. “I helped my friends and my rabbi. We got us all to be sitting in the right spot.”
“At one point,” continued Cohen, “our attacker was not paying attention. He sat down. I think what he did was he put his gun down and poured some soda. Much to Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker’s credit, he picked up a chair, threw it at him and yelled ‘run!’ and we were out.”
“In the first five to 30 minutes, when you don’t know who this guy is, we had no clue, and he’s spouting all these truly crazy things, at that point I got myself into the place where it was likely that I was not going home,” he replied when asked by Leibzon whether he thought he would come out of this ordeal alive.
“However, throughout the whole ordeal, it was very important to me, and to all of us, that we all got out."
