Putin Likens Russian Crackdown To Arresting Capitol Rioters

Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is to meet President Joe Biden at a summit Wednesday, has suggested that the hundreds of people arrested for rioting at the U.S. Capitol are being subjected to “persecution for political opinions.”

Putin is likely to come under strong criticism from Biden at their meeting in Geneva for moves against his political opponents in Russia, particularly the imprisonment of opposition leader Alexei Navalny, the detention of thousands of demonstrators protesting his arrest, and the outlawing of Navalny’s organizations as extremist.

“You are presenting it as dissent and intolerance toward dissent in Russia. We view it completely differently,” he said in an interview with NBC News broadcast Monday. He then pointed to the Jan. 6 insurrection in Washington when protesters barged into the Capitol to try to halt the count of electoral votes to certify Biden’s election victory over Donald Trump.

“Do you know that 450 individuals were arrested after entering the Congress? … They came there with political demands,” he said.

Although the protests that erupted across Russia after Navalny’s arrest in January were unsanctioned, demonstrators were largely peaceful and did not enter government buildings or cause significant property damage, unlike the Capitol riot.

Putin also reiterated denials that the Kremlin was behind last year’s poisoning of Navalny with a nerve agent that nearly killed him.

“We don’t have this kind of habit, of assassinating anybody,” Putin said.

“Did you order the assassination of the woman who walked into the Congress and who was shot and killed by a policeman?” Putin said, referring to Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt, who was fatally shot by a Capitol Police officer as she tried to climb through a window that led to the House floor.

Putin also sharply dismissed allegations that Russia is carrying out cyberattacks against the United States as baseless.

“Where is the evidence? Where is proof? It’s becoming farcical,” Putin said. “We have been accused of all kinds of things — election interference, cyberattacks and so on and so forth — and not once, not once, not one time, did they bother to produce any kind of evidence or proof, just unfounded accusations.”

In April, the United States announced the expulsion of 10 Russian diplomats and new sanctions connected to the so-called SolarWinds cyberattack in which several U.S. government branches experienced data breaches. U.S. officials blamed the Russian foreign intelligence service.

In May, Microsoft officials said the foreign intelligence service appeared to be linked to an attack on a company providing services to the U.S. Agency for International Development.

At the summit, Biden also is expected to raise the case of two Americans imprisoned in Russia: Paul Whelan, who was convicted of espionage, and Trevor Reed, convicted of assaulting police while drunk. U.S. officials say both were convicted in biased trials on flimsy evidence.

Putin said of Reed, a 29-year-old former Marine: “He’s just a drunk and a troublemaker.”

Putin brushed off one possible source of tension in the upcoming summit: Biden’s claim that he once told Putin he considered the Russian leader soulless.

“I do not remember this particular part of our conversations,” Putin said.

1st Day Of New Gov’t: Benny Gantz Submits Meron Inquiry Proposal

On the first day of the new Bennett-Lapid government on Monday, Defense Minister Benny Gantz submitted a proposal to establish a state commission of inquiry into the Meron disaster.

The proposal is identical to the proposal Gantz submitted to the previous government.

The new government’s coalition agreements called for a proposal for a state inquiry to be presented and approved at its very first meeting.

“This is a moral and ethical obligation for the families but no less important, it is a matter of an obligation to investigate [the disaster] and prevent such tragic incidents in the future,” the proposal stated.

The estimated cost of managing and operating a commission of inquiry is about NIS 5 million a year.

Zip codes with strong Orthodox Jewish populations are among the lowest vaccinated rates in New York.

NY Governor Cuomo announced on Monday that seven zip codes are the lowest rates are in NYC:

Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is the lowest in NYC with a 32.7% vaccination rate.

Ocean Hill and Far Rockaway, Queens, both have a 33.4% rate.

Canarsie, Brooklyn, has a 34.3% rate, Crown Heights 35.3%, and Brownsville and Borough Park are both at 35.8%.

The lowest vaccinated rate in the entire New York State is in Monsey, coming in with a 17.8% rate.

Other Hudson Valley municipalities among the 25 fewest vaccinated in New York include Monroe at 29.3 percent and Spring Valley at 29.3 percent.

In a Monday afternoon tweet, Cuomo wrote “We are just 0.1% away from our goal of 70% of adult New Yorkers with at least one vaccine dose. When we hit 70%, most remaining COVID restrictions will be lifted. We are so close—help us get there sooner by getting vaccinated!”

She wept loudly, “how could I abandon my People?”

This appeared in last week's TorahTidbits
by Judah Mischel

It was 1946 and R’ Chaim Tzvi Schwartz, a young survivor and Munkatcher chasid who had lost his family in the war, was in search of direction and chizuk. He went to meet with Rebbe Yosef Yitzchak, the Frierdiker (Previous) Lubavitcher Rebbe in NewYork. The Frierdiker Rebbe blessed him and referred R’ Chaim Tzvi to his dynamic son-in-law and future successor, Reb Men- achem Mendel Schneerson. The meeting with the Rebbe’s son-in-law led him on an unexpected personal and professional path, as Reb Menachem Mendel suggested that he move to Brazil to serve the Jewish refugees settling there: “You will play a role in strengthening Jewish identity and encouraging mitzvah observance in Brazil.”

R’ Chaim Tzvi accepted the shlichus and embarked on a lifelong mission to assist in rebuilding Yiddishkeit for a community of survivors in Brazil, founding a school, shul and community service organizations. A year after the passing of the Frierdiker Rebbe in 1950, Reb Menachem Mendel assumed leadership of the Lubavitchmovement and became Rebbe. From time to time, Rabbi Schwartz would seek the Rebbe’s advice on various communal issues, and over the years they maintained an infrequent but warm contact. Though he was filled with gratitude for the Rebbe’s advice and was an avid admirer — even carrying a small photo of the Rebbe in his wallet — R’ Chaim Tzvi did not identify as a Lubavitcher, and it would be many years until he fully appreciated the Rebbe’s vision and reach.

R’ Chaim Tzvi once related an incident to Rabbi Aaron Dov Halperin, the founder and long-time editor of Kfar Chabad maga- zine. A Brazilian Jewish family had reached out to him concerning their oldest daugh- ter who had fallen in love and become engaged to a gentile. The parents had tried everything to dissuade her, but to no avail, and in desperation turned to R’ Chaim Tzvi, the local rabbi.

“I took the address from her parents and went to meet her that evening. While visibly annoyed to learn of my mission, she was well mannered and respectful; we ended up speaking for several hours. The conversation was heated but polite; she didn’t show much interest in Jewish tradition, and she remained dead set on marrying her fiance. I didn’t feel like I had made much progress. For several days after that, I racked my brain, trying to think of what might possibly be done to prevent the intermarriage. Finally I decided to take a chance and call the Lubavitcher Rebbe.

“I picked up the phone, rang Rabbi Hodakov, the Rebbe’s secretary, related the details of the entire affair, and requested the Rebbe’s advice on how to proceed. I expressed my gratitude and hung up. Moments later, my phone rang. It was Rabbi Hodakov: ‘The Rebbe says to go back to the young woman and tell her that there is a Jew in Brooklyn who cannot sleep at night because she intends to marry a non-Jew.’

“Confused about the meaning of Rabbi Hodakov’s remark, I stammered, ‘Wait... What? Who? Which Jew cannot sleep?’ I then heard the Rebbe’s own voice speak- ing: ‘Tell her that his name is Mendel Schneerson.’

“After gingerly returning the receiver to its cradle, I was even more confused than before. Perhaps the Rebbe misunderstood how adamant the bride-to-be was. Maybe he didn’t fully grasp her indifference to Jewish tradition. Could I actually follow through with such a strange course of action? On the other hand... how could I not?

“Early the next morning, I was at her door. Before I could even say hello, she began snapping at me: ‘Listen, I was cour- teous and heard you out as a man of faith and out of respect to my parents. But how I choose to live my life is my business. I am getting married this weekend, and that is final. Please stop bothering me and leave me alone!’

“I took a deep breath, braced myself. ‘I’m so sorry... I just need to say one more thing. There is a Jew in Brooklyn who cannot sleep at night because you intend to marry a non-Jew.’

“As she was preparing to slam the door on my face, she stopped abruptly. ‘What did you say? What are you talking about? Who is this Jew?’

“Swallowing, I managed to squeeze the words out of my mouth: ‘There is a tzadik in Brooklyn, New York, known as the Lubavitcher Rebbe. His name is RebbeMenachem Mendel Schneerson... He is known to be personally concerned about the material and spiritual wellbeing of every Jew, and agonizes over every soul that is lost to its People... He asked me to come here again today to tell you that he can’t sleep....’”

Visibly shaken, the young woman asked, “What does he look like? Maybe you have a picture of him?” After years of counter-in- tuitively carrying a small black and white photo of the Rebbe in his wallet, R’ Chaim Tzvi swiftly removed it and handed it over. With one glance at the Rebbe’s likeness, her face turned pale. “It’s him!” she whispered,

and began to weep.
“All week long this man has been
appearing in my dreams! His piercing stare is unmistakable... Every night I wake up startled seeing his eyes filled with tears. I told myself that the dream came from ‘cold feet’, or that I was just over-reacting to my parents’ pressure and conjuring up an image of a Jewish sage... In my entire life I have never seen or met this man, nor even heard his name. But those eyes...

“I don’t know what he wants from me! And I don’t know the first thing about being Jewish... but...,” she wept loudly, “how could I abandon my People?”

New government takes inaugural photograph as ministers resign

Members of the new national unity coalition government posed with President Reuven Rivlin for the traditional inaugural group photograph Monday morning, after being sworn in to office Sunday night.

The new government met at the President’s residence in Jerusalem for the group photograph, as newly-sworn-in ministers from the 36th government resign from the Knesset.

Under the Norwegian Law, lawmakers are able to resign from the Knesset once they are appointed as ministers, while reserving the right to reclaim their Knesset seats later on if they lose their ministerial portfolios.

Thirteen coalition members have resigned from the Knesset, including Yisrael Beytenu’s Avidgor Liberman, Oded Forer, and Hamad Amar; the New Hope party’s Ze’ev Elkin and Yoaz Hendel; Meretz MKs Tamar Zandberg and Issawi Frej of Meretz; Matan Kahana of the Yamina party; Pnina Tamano, Chili Tropper and Orit Farkash-Hacohen of Blue and White; and Orna Barbivai and Yoel Razvozov of Yesh Atid.

Following the group photograph, Prime Minister Naftali Bennett visited the grave of Lt. Col. Emmanuel Moreno, an officer from the elite Sayeret Matkal unit who served alongside Bennett. Moreno was killed during the 2006 Second Lebanon War.

“At every important junction in my life, I think about my friend and brother, Emmanel,” Bennett said at the grave.

Watch this sincere Lady Beg The Lubavitcher Rebbe for Moshiach ... and Hear his answer

Satmar "Daas Torah" Everyone Must Vote in Elections

If I ever hear the word "Daas Torah" again, I'm going to scream. The poster above by the Zalonie Bais Din issued a fatwa that according to "Daas Torah" everyone must vote.

Why?

To ensure that the chinuch of "Jewish children remain untouched"

Interesting, "Daas Torah" is obligating you to vote for Yang (not written in the fatwa, but Zalonim endorsed Ying Yang) who basically stands against every moral law written in the Torah. That's "Daas Torah"!

Let's ask the Aronim what's their understanding of "Daas Torah" and this fatwa, is?

Every Ahroinie will tell you that "Daas Torah" is to vote for Adams!

But, both the Ahronim and the Zalonim however agree that "Daas Torah" is not to vote in Israeli elections, even though by voting in Israeli elections you are in fact choosing how the chinuch of children will move forward, but since they say that their moisdois in Israel don't take money from the "medina" (which has been proven to be a lie over and over again) ...they remain adamant that it is prohibited according to "Daas Torah"to vote in Israel, since election won't effect their children...

So according to their logic,  voting in Israeli Elections only effects children that are not Satmar... " the non-Satmar children can all go to hell"

Just Like Biden Erasing Trump's Accomplishments ..Yair Lapid wants to erase the achievements of Benjamin Netanyahu

Over the past decade, for the first time in its history, Israel developed a strong diplomatic posture in the region and worldwide. Israel developed strategic ties with Arab states, and the states of the eastern Mediterranean. It has built close ties with the E.U.’s Visegrád Group of central European states, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic, as well as Austria and Italy. Israel upgraded its diplomatic and trade relations with states in Africa and Central and South America, as well as with India, Japan and South Korea.

Unfortunately, it is likely that all Israel achieved through painstaking effort may be lost after the new governing coalition led by Yair Lapid takes power. This is the case for three reasons.

First, Benjamin Netanyahu is the author of Israel’s diplomatic triumphs. They are predicated on his foreign-policy vision that diplomatic ties are built on common interests even more than ideology and that Israel has much to offer the nations of the world. There are many things that divide the members of the incoming governing coalition, but they agree on one thing—they all hate Netanyahu. So, the first reason Israel may soon abandon its diplomatic achievements is because Lapid and most of his partners in the coalition want to erase Netanyahu’s accomplishments.

The second reason Israel’s diplomatic position is likely to soon crash is that Lapid and Defense Minister Benny Gantz along with most of their partners do not share Netanyahu’s diplomatic vision. Lapid is set to become foreign minister. Lapid, Gantz and the rest of the members of the incoming coalition are members of Israel’s elite class.

Israel’s elite encompasses the political left, the media, the senior brass of the security establishment and the senior leadership of the foreign and justice ministries, and right-wingers who prefer their company and plaudits to those of members of their own camp. Israel’s elites, almost to a man, believe Israel’s diplomatic position is exclusively a function of its relations with the Beltway establishment. The closer Israel is to the American ruling class, the stronger it is internationally. The weaker Israel’s relations with the American elite, the weaker its international posture.

The third reason Israel’s decade of diplomatic achievements is likely to end in short order is that as America-obsessed elitists, Lapid, Gantz and their ilk don’t understand the importance or potential of what Netanyahu has accomplished. They will not dedicate the necessary resources to maintain the ties he forged with the likes of Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz or Brazil’s President Javier Bolsonaro, because they don’t value those ties. So the ties will wither.

This then brings us to Washington, the only place that matters for the incoming cabinet ministers.

On Monday, Secretary of State Antony Blinken testified before House and Senate committees. His remarks showed that just as Lapid and his colleagues are set to tear down Netanyahu’s legacy, President Joe Biden, Blinken and their advisers have taken an industrial-sized eraser to Donald Trump’s policies and achievements in the Middle East.

Yad L'Achim: Dramatic rise in women seeking rescue from Arab villages

In the wake of the anarchy and pogroms in Israel's mixed cities that erupted during IDF Operation Guardian of the Walls, the anti-assimilation Yad L'Achim organization reports a dramatic rise in the number of Jewish girls living with Arab husbands in Arab villages or neighborhoods asking to be rescued and seeking to open a new page in their lives.

Liel (not her real name) told the hotline operator at Yad L’Achim: "When I saw him lose control and curse the yahud [Jew], I reached the conclusion that even Israeli Arabs can't be trusted. I am calling you in the realization that I made the biggest mistake of my life."

Shachar (also a pseudonym) decided on the spot to end her relationship, which was moving quickly to deeper levels of commitment. "He promised that he would convert, but since the outbreak of riots I suddenly saw in him a side that I hadn't known. I heard him speak only against the Jewish people and I understood that he had no intention to converting. I am so happy and thank Hashem that I caught myself in time, while I still have a chance to back out."

Bruria, one of the social workers at Yad L'Achim relates: “As a rule, there are three main responses among the women in our care to what’s been happening: denial, differentiation (my Arab husband is different from the others, it won't happen to me) and dawning realization. This is a very complicated period for women who live in Muslim society with their children, especially since the military operation wasn’t just between Gaza and Israel, but had fallout in mixed cities inside Israel that is still being felt."

Yad L'Achim notes that while the women face difficult existential problems, the ones who are really suffering and likely to be confused about their identity are the children of mixed couples.

Avivit, for instance, reported a decline in her son. "He speaks Arabic and was suddenly exposed to the violent dialogue that bubbled forth on the Arab street. He has no filter. He is exposed to the incitement of his father against me and sees me as the enemy. I’m afraid of losing him.”

Yad L'Achim agreed only to say that that the call from Avivit was dealt with in the best way possible and that she and her children are well. However, it warrants being publicized so that others will read her conclusion: "I plead with Jewish women not to get swept up. It will end badly."

Yad L'Achim emphasizes again that no call from a Jewish girl in distress who is seeking to return to her people will go unanswered. This message is even more important these days, when women feel that their lives are on the line.

Lapid After Being Heckeled by the Right "'You reminded us why it is time to replace you.'

Opposition Leader and Foreign Minister-designate Yair Lapid excoriated right-wing lawmakers slated to head to the Opposition Sunday, after members of the pro-Netanyahu bloc jeered Lapid and Prime Minister-designate Naftali Bennett.

In place of his planned address, Lapid said asked for forgiveness from his elderly mother, who had travelled to the capital to be present during the planned swearing in of the government after the Knesset votes in the national unity government.

Lapid expressed outrage at the jeering by right-wing and haredi lawmakers, saying their behavior exemplified “why it’s time to replace you.”

“Mr. Speaker, Knesset Members, I’m skipping the speech I planned to deliver today because I’m here to say one thing - to ask for forgiveness from my mother.”

“My mother is 86 years old and we don’t ask her to come to Jerusalem lightly but we did it because I assumed that you would be able to get over yourselves and behave with statesmanship at this moment and she would see a smooth transition of government.”

“When she was born there was no State of Israel, Tel Aviv was a small town of 30,000 people and we didn’t have a parliament. I wanted her to be proud of the democratic process in Israel. Instead she, along with every citizen of Israel, is ashamed of you and remembers clearly why it’s time to replace you.”

Bennett thanks Netanyahu, rightist MKs jeer

The Knesset convened for a special session Sunday afternoon to vote on the national unity government proposed by Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid.

The session began at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, with prime minister-designate Naftali Bennett addressing the Knesset plenum before the legislature votes on the planned government, which, if approved, will become the 36th Government of Israel.

Right-wing and haredi lawmakers jeered and attempted to shout down Bennett as he spoke, with several rightist MKs, including Shlomo Karhi and May Golan, being ejected from the plenum for repeatedly interrupting Bennett’s address.

At the beginning of his speech, Bennett thanked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his service as premier.

“Thank you, Mr. Prime Minister, for your service over the years and your accomplishments for the State of Israel. As Prime Minister, you worked for many years to strengthen the country and its security.”

Bennett compared his critics on the Right to Second Temple-era zealots, and said he was “proud to sit with people who have very different opinions” from his own.

"It is time for leaders of the nation to say, 'Stop, stop this madness.' Even if you are not in the government, we will look after your voters."

“The government that will be formed represents many Israelis, from Efrat to Tel Aviv.”

“The new government will pursue practical solutions. After two and a half years of paralysis, we will remove obstacles and make progress."

"Here are just a few things the government will promote immediately. We will take responsibility for the education of the children of Israel from birth...we will add daycare centers to the Education Ministry."

"For years we've talked about dropping the age of exemption for haredi youths. Now we'll do it, dropping the age from 24 to 21."

Bennett also vowed to shutter multiple ministries established in recent years, including the Water Ministry.

"Justice Minister-designate Gideon Sa'ar will return balance between the judiciary and the legislature, including splitting the role of the Attorney General."

The prime minister-designate also alluded to efforts to combat illegal Arab construction in Area C of Judea and Samaria, vowing to promote Israel's "national interest" in the area.

"We will guarantee the national interest in Area C."

"We understand the need and distress of the Arab population," Bennett continued, promising improvements for the Arab sector, in particular the Bedouin population of southern Israel, pointing to planned infrastructure works for the Negev.

"I also want to appeal to the haredi public, even though the haredi lawmakers did not choose to join our government - which is their right. Nevertheless, we will work on your behalf, to solve problems which have developed in the haredi sector, we will respect Torah scholars."

"We will improve the housing crisis which has plagued the haredi sector. The construction rate simply has not kept up with the growth rate."

“The government will also deal with the biggest threat, the Iran nuclear project, which is at a critical state.”

"The resumption of the deal with Iran is a mistake, a mistake which will once again give legitimacy to one of the most violent and dangerous regimes in the world."

Turning to the Gaza front, Bennett vowed an 'iron wall' against any new escalations by Hamas.

"If Hamas chooses violence against Israel, it will encounter an iron wall."

Bennett thanked President Joe Biden for his "forthright position" during last month's conflict with the Gaza Strip, and "his years of support" for Israel. He added that the new government will pursue strong relations with both the Republican and Democratic parties in the US.

Schumer The Jewish Senator Looking to Flood Federal Courts With Muslim Judges

The US Senate on Thursday approved President Joe Biden's nomination of Zahid Quraishi, a magistrate judge in New Jersey, to the federal bench, making him the first Muslim federal judge in US history.

The Democrat-controlled Senate voted 81-16 to confirm Quraishi, 46, who is the son of Pakistani immigrants and a former federal and military prosecutor.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York noted on the Senate floor that while Islam is the third-largest religion in the US, no Muslim has ever served on the federal bench.

"We must expand not only demographic diversity but professional diversity, and I know that President Biden agrees with me on this and this will be something that I will set out to do," Schumer said.

Ahmadinejad: Highest-ranking Iranian intelligence official was an Israeli agent

Former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is claiming that the highest-ranking Iranian intelligence official in charge of countering Israeli spies in Iran was himself an agent of Israel.

In a video interview published on Friday and quoted by Iran International, Ahmadinejad attributed the success of Israel's intelligence operations in Iran to the high level of Israel’s influence and infiltration in the Iranian intelligence and security agencies.

He implicitly acknowledged that Israeli spies were involved in two explosions in the Iranian uranium enrichment facility in Natanz, and that Israel had been closely monitoring nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh's moves for a long time before killing him in November 2020.

Ahmadinejad spoke of "a corrupt gang at the high level of the Islamic Republic's intelligence agencies."

"This corrupt gang should disclose its role in the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists and the explosions at the enrichment site in Natanz. They stole important documents from Torquzabad and the Iranian Space Agency. These are no jokes. Extremely important documents have been stolen and the country's security has been compromised," he claimed.

"They carried out a major operation in Torquzabad (near Tehran). They gave several vanloads of documents to Israel. It was not just one piece of paper. There were several vans. How did they manage to get several vans out of the country with all the checkpoints in this country?" he continued.

Ahmadinejad added that the Iranian intelligence agencies "concealed the news from the people, and we found out about it only when the documents reached the enemies and they revealed the matter." Ahmadinejad added that "The documents at the Iranian Space Agency were in a safe that belonged to the agency's chief. The agents pierced the roof, went in through the hole, opened the safe and took the documents."

He also attributed the killing of Fakhrizadeh to the activities of the same gang of intelligence operatives. "The Intelligence Minister, Mahmoud Alavi, even said the Ministry knew about the time and place of the operation beforehand, but it was never known who neglected the intelligence information and cooperated [with Israeli agents]."

Ahmadinejad is notorious for his calls for Israel to be wiped off the map and for his Holocaust denial while serving as Iran’s President.

In 2019, Ahmadinejad insisted he is not an anti-Semite and is merely opposed to the “Zionist government”.

Despite the comments, Ahmadinejad did not distance himself from his past anti-Semitic statements or Holocaust denial, which he said was his “proudest moment” as president.

New Era: After 12 years, Netanyahu to be replaced as PM today

Barring any dramatic last-minute changes, Benjamin Netanyahu's historic 12-year run as Prime Minister of Israel will end today.

Parties in the incoming coalition will meet in the Yamina party's room in the Knesset at 2:00p.m., after which they will hold separate meetings at 3:15p.m.

The Knesset plenum will meet at 4:00p.m., to be followed by a toast to be held in the Chagall State Hall with the Speaker of the Knesset-elect.

At 9:00p.m., there will be a celebratory meeting of the incoming government on the occasion of the formation of the 36th Government of Israel, held in the Jerusalem Hall in the Knesset.

Statements will be delivered at the beginning of the meeting by the Prime Minister-designate Naftali Bennett (Yamina) and the Alternate Prime Minister-designate Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid). Netanyahu will also deliver his first speech as chairman of the opposition.

Netanyahu entered office as prime minister on March 31, 2009, and has served continuously since then. He also served as prime minister from 1996-1999, making him the longest-serving prime minister in Israeli history.

Netanyahu is the only Israeli prime minister to sign peace agreements with more than one Arab state, having signed the Abraham Accords with the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Morocco, and Sudan in 2020.

The new government is considered to be historic, as it includes an Arab party, the United Arab List, for the first time. In addition, Naftali Bennett will be Israel's first religious prime minister.
