Jewish Group Recite Kaddish For Hamas, Islamic Jihad Terrorists

An anti-Israel Self-Hating Jewish American group recited Kaddish for Gazan terrorists killed during Operation Guardian of the Walls at a demonstration in Los Angeles on Thursday, The Jerusalem Post reported.

IfNotNow, a movement founded during Operation Protective Edge in 2014 to protest Israel’s actions in Gaza and “to end the Israeli occupation,” displayed a banner at the demonstration with the names of the Palestinian and Israeli victims of the conflict and recited Kaddish for them.

Joe Truzman, a research analyst for The Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), noted that the list of people for whom the group recited Kaddish included a number of Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists, including Mohammad al-Ata, the brother of Abu al-Ata, an Islamic Jihad leader who was responsible for a number of attacks against Israel and was eliminated by an Israeli airstrike in November 2019.

The "Meraglim" Were Holy People!

by DIN
The headline is not only to get your attention, it is also 100% true, and because it's true, it' makes "Holy People" very dangerous.....
So dangerous are the "holy" ones that Hashem in this case never forgave them.

I'm jumping ahead of myself.....

There is a halacha that every bar-mitzvah learns as soon as he turns 13, which is that now that he reached the age of being a bar-mitzva, he can be counted in a minyan.

How do we know that a "minyan" requires a minimum of 10?
I hope you guys are sitting .....
We learn this halacha from the "meraglim".....
let that sink in for awhile...
Lest you think I made it up, I will give you the sources and you could look it up at your leisure ...
(מגילה כ"ג  ב (הובא בפרש"י עה"פ), ברכות כ"א ב, סנהדרין ע"ד ב)

Why would the Chazal learn out a major rule from the meraglim?

It was because they were the "moetzes gedoilei hador" of that generation, as the Torah itself writes in the 3rd verse of this parsha!
"ראשי בני ישראל המה"
"They were the leaders of the Jewish people"

According to many Rishonim and the Zohar they spoke "Lashon Hara" on Eretz Yisrael but meant it "lishmah
In other words, they remained very "holy people" and weren't evil at all; it was their desire to be close to Hashem and stay in the midbar to cleave to Hashem, to learn his Torah unencumbered with "gashmios"

What was the result?
There is a proverb: "The road to hell is paved with good intentions"
just because someone has "good intentions" that doesn't necessarily mean it is the correct thing to do...

When the Jews made a golden calf, an "eigal" in the midbar, it was an outright rebellion and an affront to  Hashem that had just recently taken them  out of Egypt with miracles....they turned their backs on their Saviour and Creator and instead chose a calf, that couldn't  speak, see, hear, or talk and was just born so to speak.
Yet Hashem forgave them

Yet with these "tzaddikim" the ones who had good intentions, where Chazal learn that a minyan consists  of 10, Hashem never forgave them and we are still paying a price for this mistake.
Why?
Because they spoke "loshon hara" about Eretz Yisrael and when you bad mouth Eretz Yisrael even if you have the best of intentions, you are never forgiven ....
You can quote from the greatest of our people, who may have had the best intentions, but if they bad mouthed the Land or bad mouthed even those who built it, then they are meraglim, especially if they live in Chutz Le'aretz..... Hashem will never forgive them

To bolster my point... at the end of Moshe Rabbeinu's life, Moshe, in Sefer Devarim rebukes the Jewish people and reminds them of all the sins they did in the midbar... but in order not to embarrass them, he did not mention the sins explicitly, instead, he only hinted or alluded to them by using veiled references ... so when it came to remind them of the eigal, he said "ודי זהב" ....you actually need a Rashi to understand the hint....
but when it came to remind them about the "meraglim" Moshe was very explicit... no veiled references here...., here he wasn't concerned that they would be embarrassed, Moshe goes into the details to what happened, things  that we didn't even know learning Parshas Shlach ....

The gemarrah discusses a tuma bird called "r'ah" ראה, that has great eye sight, it could stand in Bavel and see a dead carcass all the way in Eretz Yisrael
עומד בבבל ורואה נבלה בארץ ישראל
the Baal Shem asked, if this bird has been gifted with such talent to able to see such great distances then why is it tamei?
Says the Baal Shem, someone living in chutz l'aaretz and focuses on whats bad in Israel can only be someone who is tamei...

I will add my own pshat .....
why did Chazal choose "Bavel" to illustrate their point?
Precisely because "Bavel" was the "makom Torah" of those generations and they became very comfortable there and looked down on Eretz Yisrael ... since those living in Eretz Yisrael were Mechallei  Shabbos and were by in large intermarried.........
nevertheless the Babylonians searching for "dead carcasses" in Israel were considered tamei!
You can be from those who authored Talmud Bavli, the oral torah so that it should never be forgotten, but if you dare badmouth the land of Israel or its inhabitants, you risk losing your olam haba!

2,000-Year-Old Roman Basilica, the Largest in Israel, Discovered in Ashkelon

The structure of a basilica discovered in Ashkelon, Israel that was destroyed in an earthquake in 363 CE.

The Israel Antiquities Authority recently unearthed a massive 2,000-year-old Roman basilica (public building), the largest in Israel, during excavations at Tel Ashkelon Park, the Nature and Parks Authority announced on Monday.

The archaeological dig was conducted as part of an extensive redevelopment effort in the national park, led by the Nature and Parks Authority, the Ashkelon municipality, and the Leon Levy Foundation.

The finds, which also include an ancient odeon (theater), were revealed to the public for the first time and will be open to visitors at the southern Israel site soon.

The Israel Antiquities Authority said that the basilica was first discovered in the 1920s by British archaeologist John Garstang, who covered it up. Work on the site did not start again until a few years ago.

According to Dr. Rachel Bar-Natan, Saar Ganor, and Fredrico Kobrin, excavation directors on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority, “the huge building is covered with a roof and divided into three parts — a central hall and two side halls. The hall was surrounded with rows of marble columns and capitals, which rose to an estimated height of 13 meters and supported the building’s roof. The floor and walls were built of marble.”

The excavation directors said that the basilica was built by Herod the Great, the Roman client king of Judea.

The structure suffered major damage in the earthquake that occurred in Israel in 363 CE.

Senator Rand Paul provides a CHILLING warning about what might be going inside Wuhan lab RIGHT NOW

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) went on air to be interviewed by Jeanine Pirro, and had a disturbing but important message for Americans and the world regarding the Wuhan lab, and regarding gain-of-function research in general.

Pirro starts by bringing up the subject of gain-of-function research, and Paul responded: "Gain-of-function is basically when you have an animal virus that normally just infects animals, and you somehow mutate it or force it to evolve so it can affect humans. So it's making it more transmissible to humans, and oftentimes making it more dangerous or deadly to humans."

"I'll give you an example. In 2004, there was a virus, a coronavirus called SARS. It killed a bunch of people; it had a 15 percent mortality." "In the Wuhan lab, they were studying this SARS virus, and they were putting more proteins on it to make it more infectious to humans." "That's gain-of-function. That's dangerous. And that may be how this (COVID-19) virus started. And so, I'm very worried that this stuff's still going on, and that the US government is funding it.

Pirro then asked Rand why he thinks the Biden administration would "stop the investigation into the origins of the Wuhan virus", considering that China is "not fully open" to letting investigations take place and "initially lied" about the possibility of the virus originating in the Wuhan lab.
Rand mentioned:
"I think there's been a sea-change in the last two or three weeks on this. A year ago, anybody who mentioned the possibility that this virus came out of the Wuhan lab were dismissed as crazy right-wing cooks, conspiracy theorists, etc." "But now you have even MSNBC coming around. You have the left starting to wonder about it. When I introduced my amendment to say we should quit funding this research in China, I ended up getting every Democrat on board." "So I think [those in the Biden administration] either know information, or they suspect that this information is gonna get stronger and stronger, that this came from the lab .... we've got a lot of evidence now."

Asking about gain-of-function itself, Pirro asked Rand point-blank, "Why would we do that?"
"They say they're doing it so that they can study viruses that jump from animals to humans. The problem is that they are creating something novel; they are creating something that doesn't exist in nature." "....We're creating Frankenstein super-viruses that, if they leak out of the lab, accidentally or on purpose, could devastate the world. The SARS virus is fifteen times more deadly. If that one gets out, and we enhance its ability to be transmitted,
That could kill 50, 100 million people."

Israel ends most coronavirus restrictions

Israel on Tuesday lifted most of its COVID restrictions on public activity, following an extended period of low coronavirus infection rates.

On Monday, the government approved the lifting of major limits on public activity and business operation, which were set to expire Tuesday.

Both the ‘green marker’ (Tav Yarok) and ‘purple marker’ (Tav Sagol) sets of regulations on mass gatherings and business operations were nullified starting Tuesday morning, ending the limits on a wide variety of activities.

The end of the ‘green marker’ program means that the unvaccinated – including children who are below the vaccination age – may now be able to freely enter hotels, restaurants, cultural events and other venues without a recent negative COVID test.

Businesses restricted by the ‘purple marker’ program will no longer be required to limit the number of customers allowed inside at any given time, and will no longer be required to maintain two meters between customers or between customers.

Event halls will now be able to operate freely with no limits on the number of people allowed indoors, regardless of participants’ vaccination status.

The indoor mask mandate, however, will remain in place for the time being, though the Health Ministry plans to reevaluate the mandate in the near future.

'Child' killed in IDF Gaza strike found to be teenage terrorist

An underage casualty of the most recent round of fighting between Israel and Gaza who was featured in a profile by The New York Times of children killed in the conflict has been revealed to be a member of a Hamas-linked terrorist group.

Last week, the Times published a piece entitled “They Were Only Children”, featuring a collection of photographs of minors killed in last month’s Gaza conflict.

Among the minors included was 17-year-old Khaled al-Qanou, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in the northern Gaza Strip on May 13th.

But a terrorist group named the Mujahideen Brigades, which the US has blacklisted for its terrorist activities and ties to Hamas, later claimed that al-Qanou was a member.

The Times later noted al-Qanou’s membership in the terror group, with his family confirming that Khaled had indeed joined the Mujahideen Brigades.

The Hamas terrorist organization also confirmed al-Qanou was a member of its Mujahideen Brigades.

18% of Americans ‘not sure’ if fighting Nazis was good, poll finds

In the realm of global conflicts, World War II is often viewed as the quintessential battle between good and evil

Nonetheless, a whopping one-third of Americans either believe that it was a mistake or remain unsure about the US’s involvement in the so-called “good war,” according to a new poll by the Economist/YouGov.

The study, which was conducted in honor of Memorial Day, asked 1,500 Americans whether it was a mistake for the US to participate in wars from World War I to Iraq. To ensure accurate representation, the sample was weighted according to gender, age, race, education, 2016 presidential vote, registration status, geographic region, and other designations, per the site.

The poll found that a whopping 18% of participants were unsure if Uncle Sam should’ve participated in WWII, in which President Franklin Delano Roosevelt deployed troops to fight the Nazis and the Japanese Empire in 1941.

Meanwhile, 14% thought fighting in the “War Against Hitler” was a mistake while 62% believed that contributing soldiers was the right decision.

On average, 60% of participants ages 18 to 29 said it was the correct choice to join the fight while only 49% of people ages 30 to 44 agreed, the Daily Mail reported. Meanwhile, Republicans were the bigger proponents of US involvement in WWII with 77% backing our decision compared to just 63% of Democrats. Similarly, 74% of men agreed with our injecting US troops into Germany while 62% of women thought it was a good idea.

Interestingly, 58% of veterans who knew someone who died while serving were more likely to view all the wars as mistakes.
