Small problem with the Evangelicals: I don't think you can count on their continued support when it finally hits home that Jews aren't going to embrace Jesus. Also, although FDR was a socialist, it was LBJ--himself a bigot--who managed to rope blacks into the Democratic fold with his Great Society scheme, presciently stating that blacks would be voting Democrat forever as long as they were the recipients of public money.
