Reform Rabbis "Fress" Chazir at Trefa Banquet in San Francisco

Excited like an inmate in an asylum , David Wilensky a proud Reform Jew, writes an article published in JTA,  relishing the fact that "Rabbis" of his soon to be extinct religious sect, enjoyed a banquet that served "little neck clams" and "soft shell crabs.,"  adding with glee that,
" the mouths of rabbis and foodies dripped with Peanut Butter Pie with Bacon, a Rabbit Crepinette and a Pulled Pork Potato Kugel with barbecue sauce."

Wilensky with the chazir still dripping from his lips  boasts that the event was supplied with "an array of Bay Area chefs that presented a buffet meal of treif, treif and more treif."

It is no coincidence that this Trefa Banquet took place in San Fran-Sicko, since the event was  loaded with an assortment of dysfunctional Chazir-fressing "Rabbis" and gays.

Thank G-D, no one except Wilensky wore a Kippah at this sicko event......
Oh ... did I mention that there was another attendee wearing a Kippah? ......... It was a Lady Rabbi .... the venerable Rabbi Sydney Mintz........more from her soon...

Wilensky himself never wore a Kippah until Trump became president and in his own words, says that the fact that he wears a Kippah now "has nothing to do with G-D"....

Now I hope you are sitting ...and  I hope you have nothing in your mouth, because he writes on his own webpage that he wears a Kippah because ...... because ........
Ready for this?????
I'll put it in his own words.... because if I paraphrased it ...you would accuse me of lying:

"Since the surprise of Election Day, members of the alt-right, white nationalist groups and racists, misogynists, Islamophobes, homophobes, ableists (against the disabled) and, of course, anti-Semites of every stripe have been emboldened. As a Jew, I want the bigots and their victims alike to know that I stand with the outsiders.”

Crazy......... meshiginar .......
Instead of thanking his Creator that there is a man in the White house who has Jewish grandchildren and who just cut funds to the Palestinians because they use American taxpayer money to fund murderers of his own brothers and sisters, and who was brave enough to carry out US law to name Jerusalem the capital of the State of Israel ............
Instead he writes that he wears a Kippah not to identify as a Jew, Chas Ve'Sholom, or because of his religion ..... no ... he wears a Kippah because Trump got elected😂🤣

Wilensky, sounding like a mad cat that just ate a mouse, scribbles that the event started with a "Bracha" by the above mentioned, Lesbian Rabbi Sydney Mintz who made a "Shehkol" on bread  and not the required Bracha of "Hamoitzie"....... adding that,
"In this version, G-d is praised for bringing forth “everything” from the earth, not just bread — and not just kosher food."

I'm wondering what Bracha she would make on a worm, since that also comes "from the earth."

When Wilensky asks her what she just popped into her mouth, the good "rabbi" cheerfully answers "Bacon".... and tells him "“I would rather eat food that’s humanely and ethically raised, than kosher."

That's a "rabbi"?? .....What should we now expect of the ordinary Joe Shmo Reform Jew???
Rabbi Mintz
Wilensky then strikes up a conversation with another Reform GodolRabbi Camillie Shira Angel, another lesbian of course, who "identifies as a “second-generation lobster-eating rabbi,” who says that her family ate lobster all the time and boasts that she even had a special bracha for it..
“‘Thank you for all gifts of land and sea,’ motzi "
The misguided "Rabbi Angel" then reminisces: “My mother loved sending me to school during Passover with a lunch of matzah with ham and cheese”
Looking at her photo, one can tell that she was never famished.... not even on Pesach, it seems food never "passedover" her.
Rabbi Angel (Facebook photo)

But what's a "Jewish" article without mentioning the Holocaust???
Don't you worry....... he has that covered too....
Wilensky, takes an excerpt from a talk that was given to this dysfunctional circus, from the event's organizer Alix Wall, a chef, who once mockingly wrote in reference to the Charedie community that the "haredi community,  continues to move further and further toward a parody of itself,"

This Wall character wrote a column called "The best Jewish-American-Muslim-Pakistani wedding ever" in The Jewish News   that basically endorsed Jews marrying Muslims.

She is also in midst of producing a documentary of some lost silly yiddish tune written about her mother and grandmother, and spends all her free time traveling all over, to search for people whose "lives were somehow touched" to keep this forgotten irrelevant dead boring song, alive.

After watching the trailer, one can't help but notice  that the real motive behind this documentary, that will go nowhere fast, is really to compare the Holocaust Refugees, that had basically no where to go, and whose families were just murdered .......... to Arab Refugees who have caused havoc and mayhem all over the world and who have 22 Arab countries and all of  Europe to escape to and that welcome them with open arms...
Wall laments the fact that Trump is restricting those Arab refugees from coming to the USA!
Wall tells the crowd of San- FranSicko misfits .....
"that her mother was a child during the Holocaust, hidden with a family of Poles; and she grew up eating what they ate, including plenty of pork." ......
Wilensky writes that
"In this family, an essential 20th-century Jewish story of Holocaust survival is tied to pork."
How sick and morally deficient is this group? And how far has Wilensky strayed from his rich and beautiful heritage???

Every single human knows that Pig is an anathema to Yiddishkeit, the Nazis would taunt their Jewish victims calling them "Schweinhunt" ...."pig dog"!
Jews, not observant, would never want to be caught eating bacon in public, because they have some decency and wouldn't flaunt their indiscretions.
Yet these lowlife degenerates decide to congregate proudly in a cesspool of chazir to openly defy their G-D and heritage and shlep the Holocaust in for good measure.

It then comes to no surprise that according to the Pew survey of US Jews ..done in 2012, Non-orthodox Jews intermarry at the rate of 71%, eventually assimilate and disappear as Jews.
It is noteworthy to note that in this survey they found, that of this dying group, the most popular element in their Jewishness was remembering the Holocaust.
But if remembering the Holocaust is "tied to pork" what will be left of the next generation??
Zero! Unfortunately!
And now for the kicker, Wilensky signs off on the description of this "parody of itself" event.....
" A Reform Jew by heritage and an enthusiastic chronicler of our religion in all its unusual forms, I love it."

A Gadol Hador on how to deal with OTD

Satmar Dayanim Issue Insane Psak in Reference to OTD Children

R' Aron Teitelbaum whose "dayanim" paskend

As I said many times, Satmar philosophy is totally out of sync with the rest of Klall Yisroel ....

But Satmar's great propaganda  somehow managed to fool the  new generations of Yesivishe Oilim into thinking that Satmar is a normal community ....... masquerading their "Roshi Yesivah" as "Talmeidei Chachamim" , an act that even Serious Satmar Chassidim  laugh at hysterically,  and now  you even  see  Roshi Yeshivah of Lakewood and Chaim Berlin pandering and licking the tushies of the Satmar Rabbonim..

Now I do agree with Rav Yair's Teshuvah below, but Rav Hoffman probably frightened that Satmar will put glue in his locks as they did with Rav Moshe Feinstein z"l, tries to make nice and writes that R' Yoel Teitelbaum, the founder of Satmar would never agree with the dumb psak of the Satmar Dayanim...writing that  "The Satmar Rebbe was a master at Kiruv" and then comes up with some cock and bull story that supposedly supports this outright lie.
In fact in a Shalosh Seudah "toirele" in 1967 the rebbe himself mocks the Lubavitch Kiruv movement and says that "Shabsei Tzvee also did kiruv" .......

by Yair Hoffman

It is a publication authored by two Dayanim from the Satmar community, Rav Getzel Berkowitz Shlita of Kiryas Yoel, and Rav Avrohom Tzvi Vosner Shlita of Satmar in Monsey.  The Sefer is entitled, “M’lo HaNoseh.” It should be noted that both of the Dayanim who authored the new work are world-class Poskim – whose previous works thoroughly, completely, and brilliantly analyze numerous halachic sugyos. Rav Berkowitz’s Sefer Iglei Dvash is a remarkable responsa work that is well-respected among Talmidei Chachomim.  Both Dayanim are of the Rav Aharon faction of Satmar.

THE RAMBAM IN QUESTION
Their rulings were based upon the words of the Rambam in Hilchos Avodah Zarah 2:5. At first glance, the words of the Rambam would seem to indicate that the Halacha may be like what they say – that we neither seek out nor accept an Apikores’ teshuvah. There is, however, a contradictory Rambam found in Hilchos Teshuvah 3:14 that indicates the exact opposite – that we do accept his Teshuvah and seek it out.
There are a number of ways that the commentaries attempt to resolve the contradiction. The Merkeves HaMishna understands the stricter Rambam as dealing with someone who specifically negates the 13 Ikarrim articles of faith, while the more lenient Rambam deals with other issues that the person may have negated. Those who have discussed this Merkeveves HaMishna understand him to mean that one can never be sure if the Teshuvah that this one does regarding the 13 articles of faith – is truly one who did Teshuvah.
The vast majority of the resolutions, however, are predicated upon the fact that the Rambam in Hilchos Avodah Zarah is discussing a case where there is absolutely no hope of the “Apikores” doing a turnaround and or he is not considered to be a Tinok Sh’Nishba – like a child who was kidnapped and raised among non-Jews.
THE MIDRASHIM
This latter method of resolution fits in with the Midrash Tehillim 65 that states that the gates of Teshuvah are never closed. It cites the verse in Tehillim 65:6, “With awesome deeds, through [Your] charity You shall answer us, G-d of our salvation, the trust of all the distant ends of the earth and the sea.” The Midrash explains that just as the sea is open for all to rinse and bathe so to is Teshuvah open to all to partake. It also fits with Dvarim Rabbah 2:12 that the gates of Teshuvah are forever open.  The point of both of these Midrashim are that the terms “Never” and “Forever” are employed in this regard.  Although Midrashim are not considered halachic per se – if we can resolve a contradiction in the Rambam while fitting in with the import of the Midrashim – it is certainly preferable.
TINOK SHENISHBA
The Chazon Ish writes (in a footnote to Yoreh Deah 2:18) that everyone nowadays has the status of a Tinok Sh’Nishba, a kidnapped child.  Thus, this Rambam is also not to be applied. He cites a proof from the Gemorah in Makkos 8b – where a Kussi goes into exile if he accidentally kills an Yisroel. The fact that he goes into exile demonstrates that he is treated like a child that was kidnapped.  The Chazon Ish thus delineates a change in status of the Kussi from earlier times to later times.
THE TEXT MAY BE FAULTY
There is also the approach of Rav Dovid Soloveitchik Shlita cited in LeTshuvas HaShana page 329 by his student, Rav Yisroel Rappaport. Rav Dovid Shlita remembered how his father, Rav Yitzchok Zev Soloveitchik zt”l claimed in reference to relevant that the girsah was changed on account of the censor and that it was, in fact, worthy to seek out their Teshuvah.
It is clear that the Mesorah of Klal Yisroel is to seek out their Teshuvah and to deal nicely with those who have gone off the derech.
Rav Gershon Edelstein Shlita, the current Gadol haDor of the generation and the Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivas Ponovech -also clearly understands things in this manner. He has ruled that those that have gone off the derech should be treated with kindness and with great love and attention. This is seen in a question and answer forum on this very topic. See video below:
THE SATMAR REBBE AND THE CHILD OF A HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR
Finally, there is the well known story of a holocaust surviving woman who had asked Rav Yoel Teitelbaum zt”l to speak to her no-longer-observant son. The Rebbe approached him and asked what he did for a living. The man answered and the Rebbe then proceeded to ask his advice in various areas in which that man had expertise. He treated him with such respect and dignity that eventually the man came back and did Teshuvah.  He became one of the Rebbe’s most loyal Chassidim. The Satmar Rebbe was a master at Kiruv and would most certainly have agreed with the mainstream understanding of how to resolve these two contradictory Rambams.
Rav Yitzchok Meir Alter (1799-1866) was the very first Gerrer Rebbe and author of the Chidushei HaRim. He writes that Pesach Sheni, is a tikun for those who are perceived as beyond the pale – “B’derech Rechokah” – in his words. They are outside the scope of assistance. To them, to those who could not develop the closeness and Dveikus to Hashem that was emblematic of Pesach is the second chance embodied in Pesach Sheini.
The Psukim in Bahaaloscha tell us: There were men who were impure of the dead, therefore, they could not make the Pesach Korban on that day. They approached Moshe and Aharon on that day. Those men said to him, “We are impure [because of contact] with a dead person; [but] why should we be excluded so as not to bring the offering of Hashemin its appointed time, with all the children of Israel? Moshe said to them, “Imdu – Wait, and I will hear what Hashem instructs concerning you.”
The Chidushei HaRim writes that Imdu does not mean wait – but rather it means imdu in Teshuvah and Tefillah. It is not too late, just stand and pursue these two Avodahs and Hashem will help you along the way.
The Chidushei HaRim writes that this is the day for the off-the-derech kids that are now in every single one of our communities.
CONCLUSIONS
The vast majority of Gedolei Yisroel understand this stiras HaRambam in a way that reflects a loving approach to those that are off-the-derech. This was not just the view of the Chazon Ish, the Chofetz Chaim and the Chiddushei HaRim. It was also the approach of the Divrei Yoel, the Satmar Rebbe. It is also the view of Rav Gershon Edelstein Shlita.

Gerer Rebbe Prohibits His Chassidim From Joining Hatzalah!!

Leaders of one of the largest Hassidic movements in Israel have banned members from volunteering as emergency medical first responders or volunteer police officers, warning that members who do not comply with the new order will not be permitted to enroll their children in schools affiliated with the movement.

According to a report by Kikar Hashabbat, the Gur [also written as Ger] Hassidic movement, which claimed to include some 10,000 families worldwide in 2015, has issued a directive prohibiting members from volunteering with the Israeli police department or with the MDA or United Hatzalah organizations, both of which provide emergency medical services across Israel.

Schools affiliated with Gur will now require all parents to sign a form confirming that neither parent is volunteering with MDA, United Hatzalah, or Israel Police. Refusal to sign the form will result in the removal of the family’s children from all Gur educational institutions.

The move is unprecedented in the haredi community, where volunteer service with MDA and United Hatzalah are popular alternatives to military service, and which ensures that a large number of emergency first responders are present within haredi population centers, reducing response time.

But you saw it here first!

Shomrim Playing cards Teach Kids to call their parents "Cow" if they own a smart phone!

So they sell "Shomrim Playing Cards" for kids that are designed to teach kids to be chutzpadik to their parents if the parents own a smartphone.
One of the cards asks the kid to call his father a "cow"!

Well, finally a guy got fed up and threw over a display table with the cards!

The guy yells ..."you are teaching kids to be chutzpadik" who gives you a right to give this to kids???"

But the savage who distributed the cards calls him a "thief", saying you cannot steal the cards!

So it's ok to teach children to be disrespectful to ones' parents!

Yarchei Kallah El Al Flight ELY008 From JFK To Israel Makes Emergency Landing In Canadian Army Base UPDATED!!

PHOTOS VIA:
UPDATE BELOW
An El Al flight from JFK to Israel was forced to make an emergency landing on Sunday morning.

El Al flight ELY008 landed at an airport belonging to the Canadian Army in Goose Bay, Canada.
The flight had departed JFK at 1:00AM on Sunday morning.
Multiple passengers told YWN that the plane was shaking terribly when the pilot called “mayday” and made the landing on the small air strip.
“We heard loud noises coming from the engines”, one passenger told YWN.
The temperature is frigid at the location, and the passengers are being held on the plane.
One passenger said that the aircraft dropped quickly from 30,000 feet to 18,000 feet before regaining altitude. The emergency was announced minutes later.
El Al says the flight made the emergency landing due to a technical malfunction, and “El Al staff are working to repair the malfunction and to take care of the passengers.”
MK Meir Porush is reportedly on the flight, as well as many people flying to the Agudah Yarchei Kallah.

UPDATE!
UPDATE 12:15PM ET: The passengers have been informed that a replacement plane is expected to depart New York to their location within the next 30 minutes – track the flight HERE.
Travel time is approximately 1.5 hours. They will then have to walk across the tarmac to the other plane in -15° weather. The transfer is expected to take longer than usual due to the frigid temperatures.
It is explained, the passengers can’t de-plane and enter the airport, as they will have to go through customs, which they airport may not be equipped to do. Additionally, some of the passengers may not have proper documentation to enter Canada.
A passenger said that the El Al crew’s service has been “excellent,” serving meals and snacks while maintaining relative calm amongst the anxious passengers. The replacement plane was expected to be carrying a new batch of food for the next leg of the trip.
An interesting anecdote: A passenger said he spoke with the pilot who said no public mayday call was made. When commended for a smooth, landing he laughed and said it was on auto pilot!
The rough noise/shaking that passengers heard/felt, was from lowering the landing gear at a high altitude, which was the proper protocol.
When informed that many passengers were saying Tehillim, the pilot whispered that he keeps the Tehillim that his grandmother gave in the cockpit with him at all times! Mi K’amcha Yisrael!
UPDATE 1:00PM ET: The replacement flight is enroute to Goose Bay – track the flight HERE.
UPDATE 2:45PM ET: The replacement plane has just touched down.

Friend Arrested As Suspect In Murder Of Jewish Blaze Bernstein

Authorities on Friday arrested a friend in the killing of a 19-year-old Jewish University of Pennsylvania student whose body was found buried in a shallow grave at a California park.
Samuel Lincoln Woodward, 20, of Newport Beach was taken into custody for investigation of homicide after DNA evidence linked him to the death of college sophomore Blaze Bernstein, Orange County Undersheriff Don Barnes said.
Woodward was the last person to see Bernstein alive, Barnes said.
Woodward was interviewed by investigators after Bernstein was reported missing by his parents on Jan. 3.
A sheriff’s investigator wrote in court filings that Woodward appeared nervous, had scratched hands and dirt under his fingernails, and avoided touching doors with his hands while leaving the sheriff’s office building.
When news of the arrest came out, Jeanne Pepper Bernstein, the victim’s mother, responded to KABC reporter Greg Lee with a statement:
“Revenge is empty. It will never bring back my son. My only hopes are that he will never have the opportunity to hurt anyone else again and that something meaningful can come from the senseless act of Blaze’s murder,” her statement said, in part.

Are You allowed to say "Yemach Shmo" on a Jew?

R' Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld

The guru of the anti-Zionists is the late Rabbi Yosef Chaim Sonnenfeld who was the leader of the Eida Hacharedis in Yerushalyim.

R' Sonnenfeld heard another rabbi speaking about a Jew that supposedly went off the derech and was Mechallel Hashem in public and so this rabbi cursed him ... calling him "Yemach Shmo" translated as "may his name be obliterated.

R' Sonnenfelf started screaming at the rabbi :
"Chas Ve'Sholom .... it is prohibited to say that about another  Jewish person and it is in fact against Halacha!
We see in Halacha that if a person who does not observe Jewish law and he dies without children, his living brother is required to either marry his dead brother's wife  .. Yeebum .... or give her Chalitzah. And the reason behind this Torah requirement is that his dead brother's name not be forever obliterated....and you curse him saying "May his name be obliterated?" Yemach Shmo??
Who appointed you as Hashem's advisor and to curse this fellow and say Yemach Shmo?
Instead why don't you pray that he repent?
If the names of Ahaz, Menasheh and Amnon would have been obliterated, G-D Forbid, how would Moshiach be born?"

Yet there are many people who comment on this blog and call Moreinu Harav Avraham Yitzchok Kook z"l, who was a Tzaddik Tamim, and a huge Talmud Chochum .... "Yemach Shmo"....

Readers don't usually see these comments because I delete them, but some pass through ......

דברי תורה

New Book Authored By Rabbi A”Y Kook זצ''ל Published After 130 Years

130 years after it was written and 83 years after the death of its author, a new book by Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Hacohen Kook was published. Rabbi Kook was one of the great sages from the previous century who formed the spiritual backbone of the religious Zionist movement.
When he was only 22 years old, Rabbi Kook was appointed to be the Rabbi of Žeimelis, a town in Lithuania which Jews called Žeimel. At that time Rabbi Kook began writing his thoughts down in notebooks. Some of these notes were comprised of only one line, while other spanned pages of flowing text. In one of the notebooks were 430 separate sections spanning all matters in Judaism, from Halachik philosophy to thoughts on the Parsha.
Over the years, approximately one-third of the notebook was published in various works attributed to Rabbi Kook. However, for some reason, no one knew about the remainder of the notebook, and those who did not see fit to publish it. Then, 15 years ago a photocopied version of the notebook found its way to the hands of Rabbi Harel Cohen, who is in charge of the publishing house for Yeshivat Beit El.
“I received a copy of the notebook from Rabbi Boaz Ofan from Yeshivat Beit El. 11 years later, after we saw that no one is publishing the work, we gathered a staff of 15 avreichim and rabbanim and began the arduous task of publishing the work which took us four years to accomplish.
The book is called Metziut Kattan and spans 750 pages of thoughts by Rabbi Kook over the years. “Damage caused by time, poor copying and the special style of handwriting which Rabbi Kook had caused it to take four years for us to understand each word in the high vocabulary that is a signature of Rabbi Kook’s work. This work puts into perspective parts of his other works that referenced the full notebook, which until now had been unavailable.”
Rabbi Cohen added: It was rare for Rabbi Kook to write books in a linear and ordered format. The majority of his works were written in letter or notebooks such as the one that came into our possession. He thought faster than he could write and was not able to put himself in a place where he could write according to specific linear subjects. This notebook is but the first of dozens that were written in this style.”

Blaze Bernstein Found Murdered

The body of a University of Pennsylvania student who went missing while home in Southern California on winter break has been found and his death is being investigated as a homicide, authorities said on Wednesday.
Authorities had been searching for 19-year-old Blaze Bernstein for days when his body was found Tuesday afternoon in brush surrounding a neighborhood park in the Foothill Ranch area of the city of Lake Forest, the Orange County sheriff's department said in a statement.
Bernstein, who was home visiting his family, was last seen around 11 p.m. on Jan. 2 while entering Borrego Park. Witnesses said Bernstein met up with a friend and the two drove there, and he got out of the vehicle and went into the park, authorities said.
Search and rescue crews looked for Bernstein for several days, with assistance from drone pilots.
Authorities declined to release information about the cause of death, saying their investigation was ongoing. An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday.
Bernstein, a sophomore, was planning to major in psychology and later study medicine, The Orange County Register reported his father, Gideon, saying last week.
Bernstein was picked up by a high school friend on Jan. 2 and was heading to meet a third person in the park, said Annee Della Donna, an attorney and a friend of the family.
When Bernstein didn't return, his friend began sending him text messages but did not hear back, she said, adding the location device on his phone eventually stopped working.
"The only thing I can think of is that maybe he was abducted," the Register reported Bernstein's mother, Jeanne, saying on Sunday. "I can't figure out why anybody would want to hurt my son."

Satmar Perfidy (Part 2)

Part 2

Finally the truth about the conduct of the Satmar Rebbe, Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum and his followers during and after the Holocaust!

This is the second of a two-part investigation into the life of the Satmar Rebbe. Read part one here.
***
During his stay in the Cluj ghetto, Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum hid rather than position himself as a leader.
On the rescue train, he avoided the other passengers, failed to encourage or to comfort them, and did not share the precious commodities provided by his followers with them. In Bergen-Belsen, too, despite the preferential treatment accorded him in the camp, he refrained from assuming a leadership role, even among the observant inmates. After his release, Rabbi Yoel elected to run a rescue campaign from the safety of Switzerland. His efforts to rescue Jewish children raised by gentiles were restricted to fundraising, and even in that task he failed abysmally. Once again, his conduct stands in stark contrast to that of other rabbis, who returned to their hometowns to lead their surviving flocks or worked relentlessly in the DP camps. All the sources describing the rescue activities of the Haredi community during the Holocaust, including archival sources, indicate that compared to other rabbis who survived the Holocaust, Rabbi Yoel’s contribution was negligible in both scope and significance.
After the Holocaust, Rabbi Yoel also turned his back on all those who had helped to rescue him. After settling in Palestine in 1946, he refrained from expressing any gratitude to the people and institutions that had been instrumental in his rescue and had endeavored to obtain certificates for him, among them Chief Rabbi Yitzhak Herzog, Agudath Israel leaders Rabbi Yitzhak Meir Levin and Rabbi Moshe Porush, and Ha-Mizrahi’s Rabbi Joseph Yitzhak Rotenberg. He scathingly attacked the institutions they headed and, unlike other Hasidic rebbes they helped rescue, refused to make even the slightest symbolic gesture of gratitude. Moreover, it seems he repudiated his benefactors on a personal level, too. As far as we know, Rabbi Yoel never sent any letters of gratitude or appreciation to any of the people or institutions involved in his rescue.

Satmar Perfidy (Part 1)

Finally the truth about the conduct of the Satmar Rebbe, Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum and his followers during and after the Holocaust!

We have posted this before, but will re-post it to those who are new to this blog!

This article is adapted from an essay that appeared in Dapim 28:2 (2014), available here, and in Menachem Keren-Kratz’s  biography, The Satmar Rebbe, Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum.
In her book Be-Seter Ha-Madrega (In the Covert of the Cliff), Haredi Holocaust historian Esther Farbstein writes, “Rabbi Yoel (Yoelish) of Satmar was unquestionably chief among leaders [of Haredi Jews in Hungary].” If Farbstein is correct in her claim, Rabbi Yoel’s conduct before, during, and after the Holocaust may explain, albeit only partially, the extraordinary devastation suffered by the Hungarian Orthodox community, which had regarded him as “chief among leaders.”
The first section of this article describes Rabbi Yoel’s life and actions during the Holocaust, both on personal and public levels, as reflected in his writings, the contemporary press, memoirs written by his Hasidim, and archival sources. In many cases, researchers note that Rabbi Yoel’s position regarding the Holocaust was extreme and exceptional compared to views held by other rabbis and spokespeople of the Haredi community. Yet the worldview he cultivated, coupled with his theological explanations of the Holocaust and its mystical meaning, drew a growing number of followers, in whose eyes he was the last remnant of a dying ideology. His anti-Zionist worldview, representing as it did to them the Eastern European “Old Home,” expunged his failures during the Holocaust. As his public stature grew, criticism from within diminished, while criticism from without was disregarded and dismissed as Zionist defamation.

Rabbi Raziel Shevach a father of 6 Murdered by Arabs

Rabbi Shevach arriving at hospital

Rabbi Raziel Shevach, a 35 year-old Jewish father of six, has died of his wounds following a shooting attack near Havat Gilad in Samaria this evening.

Rabbi Shevch with family in above photo and as a Mohel in lower photo

Rabbi Shevach was a mohel and volunteered with Magen David Adom. About a year ago, he finished studies for the rabbinate, and was currently at the peak of studies to be a rabbinical arbiter.

Medics provided aid to the wounded man and evacuated him to Meir Hospital in Kfar Saba.

Initial reports indicate that terrorists shot from a passing vehicle and escaped the scene.
Security forces are combing the area.

MDA medic Elyashiv Reichenberg described the scene.
"I departed in an MDA ambulance from the nearby community of Kedumim, arriving at the scene within a very short time. On the side of the road near the security rail, I could see a private vehicle which bore signs of gunfire. Approaching the vehicle, I saw that the driver was partially conscious, with bullet wounds to his upper body."

"Residents who live in the community nearby heard the shooting and arrived to help. With the help of an IDF medical team that also arrived the scene, we provided emergency life-saving treatment, then evacuated him to the hospital in critical condition," the medic described.

Samaria Council head Yossi Dagan responded to the tragic incident, saying, "It's inconceivable that terrorists feel free to shoot at innocent civilians. Nevertheless, I want to send a clear message to our enemies: We will not give in to terror. We have chosen the path of life."
