First, Mamdani is no devoute Muslim. He is campaigning on gay rights and pushing the "Pride" agenda. That would get him killed in Gaza but like Queers for Palestine, he just doesn't get that. Plus he knows that going into a Mosque and shouting "Kill the Jews!" will get him the support he needs despite forsaking his religion.
Second, remember this: Just because our Jewish agenda is important to us does not mean it's important to most Jews. In the West, most Jews are Accidental Jews(tm). They happened to be born as Jews but it's not a part of their identity. They're liberal and naive and think that socialism is great so they'll support the socialist candidate even if he shouts "Death to the Jews!" because they think he only means the Jews that care about Judaism, not them.
