Rav Moshe Meiselman: Walder is a Rasha Merusha,' Evil Personified"

Rabbi Moshe Meiselman, the  Rosh Yeshiva of Toras Moshe in Yerushalayim, spoke at length about the Chaim Walder case. His comments were nothing short of explosive.

The Rosh Yeshiva said that Walder was a “rasha merusha, absolutely without question.” He added that in addition to his years of abusing people, the fact that he took his own life renders him a murderer.

He said that over fifteen years ago, Rav Moshe Mordechai Shulzinger of Bnei Brak said that Walder was chashud of transgressing all aveiros in the Torah, including the three severe sins of murder, inappropriate relations, and idolatry.

He said that when Walder once requested a meeting with Rav Shmuel Auerbach zt”l, he was not allowed in, because the Rav felt that Walder was a rasha who would twist his words around. Some said it was well-known in Bnei Brak circles that Walder was guilty of the now infamous allegations.

The Rosh Yeshiva spoke sharply against the claim that Bais Din did not have the right to embarrass Walder in public, or that they were guilty of lashon hara.

He said that a respected Bais Din heard testimony from 22 people, and the Rambam says that if there are continuous rumors that someone is evil, first you need to confirm there is a basis for the claims, and then you can embarrass and humiliate him. You can say to his mother, “Look at this disgusting person you gave birth to.”

The Rosh Yeshiva said, “What about his mother’s feelings? Too bad. This person is dangerous.”

He added that the Rambam clearly does not require two witnesses in such a scenario, contrary to the rhetoric of some skeptics in the aftermath of this story.

He also observed that when some people suggested Walder’s suicide was justifiable, that led one victim who was trauamatzed by Walder’s defenders to tragically take her own life, because it was implied by some that the suicide was justifiable.

The Rosh Yeshiva said that If someone is falsely accused of something, the normal response would be to defend himself, not commit suicide.

Rav Meiselman said, “A certain Rosh Yeshiva in Bnei Brak repeated some of the stupidity, and a group of bochurim responded, ‘What about the victims? You don’t know the facts.’”

Rav Meiselman continued with harsh words: “So shut up if you don’t know [the facts].”

He said that his son did not allow Walder’s books into his house for years, because he felt they were not the proper hashkafa. For example, in 15 children’s books, he does not mention the Ribbono Shel Olam once, which is highly suspicious.

Rav Meiselman added that he knows a therapist who never took a female patient, because he would need to develop an emotional connection which is inappropriate. In addition, the therapist-patient relationship gives the therapist too much power over the patient.

He said that Walder did not learn in yeshiva very long and was not successful there, plus he went to the army, which elite bochurim don’t do. Yet he was a genius at manipulating public opinion as well as creating a false image of himself. He did not have a therapy license, and took advantage of naive people. To protect himself, Walder became the head of the organization in Bnei Brak in charge of evaluating abuse threats.

Addressing the question of whether one should read Walder’s books, the Rosh Yeshiva said, “To use an extreme example, if Adolf Hitler had written good children’s books, you would be disgusted.”

He closed his remarks by saying that this behavior comes from rampant exposure to pritzus. We are so exposed to pritzus everywhere, it keeps inching us closer to aveiros and gets worse and worse. When we have devices, you have to be the tzaddik hador not to be nichshal, and even the tzaddik hador needs to have syugim to protect himself.

NEW IRS CRACKDOWN: Biden’s New Rules Force Venmo, PayPal, Cash App to Report Transactions

Under orders from President Biden, the IRS is cracking down on payments Americans receive through third-party apps and is now requiring Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App to report transactions if they exceed $600 in a single year.

The new rules are intended to allow the federal government to snoop on small businesses and ensure that they are paying every penny of their required tax payments.

While businesses were always required to self-report such income to the IRS, many don’t keep records of small transactions, thus giving the IRS room to say that they need to step in.

Payment apps were previously required to send users 1099-K forms if their gross income was either more than $20,000 or if they had more than 200 transactions in one year.

Republicans have sharply criticized the new rules, saying that the last people who need to have the government’s noose tightened further around their necks are those that are already struggling to keep their businesses afloat.

The Yeshivaworld News Blog wakes up from their non-reporting Walder Slumber: "Remove Walder Books; Reputable Dayanim Determine Allegations To Be Facts"

This statement, (Torah Umesorah)generated through discussions with members of Torah Umesorah’s Vaad

Roshei Yeshiva, should be regarded as a chavas daas.

There needs to be clarity on the part of mechanchim/os that the entire chain of events
regarding Chaim Walder – from the perpetrations of aggravated abuse to the
unconscionable manner in which the episode terminated – is a horrific saga of chilul
Hashem. It should further be clear that the so-called “allegations” committed by the
perpetrator have been determined by reputable dayonim in Eretz Yisroel to be facts.

The guidance that we need to give to our talmidim/os includes the notion that while
Walder’s books have inspired so many for so long, the now widely-known nature of his
character and his actions indicate the removal of his books from school and home libraries as the recommended course of action, as the discussions that could be generated surrounding the author himself and the wrongs he committed would be most harmful.
Again, this should be regarded as a chavas daas rather than a psak.

What goes hand in hand with this is the concept that there can be a complete disconnect between an individual’s talent and the evil that he commits… with the result that the talent is to be discounted as irrelevant in such cases.

As for the appallingly tragic end to the Walder story, it must be borne in mind that when a person, of his own volition, has committed a crime of such magnitude, he has opted away from Torah. There can be no justification for that choice. The real focus of tragedy, then, is the terrible impact that was perpetrated upon his victims; our compassion is correctly directed at them alone.

As for mechanchim themselves, one central concept emerges in this context. As Torah
educators, it is imperative that we always remember to foster an atmosphere of kedushah and personal modesty.

May the Av Horachamim have mercy upon Klal Yisroel, and may we be spared further
anguish in the future..

Ruth Lichtenstein Publisher of Hamodia Will Not report Walder Story Despite Her Own Daughter Writing a book about Incest in the Ger Community

Ruth Lichtenstein's daughter, Judy Brown, wrote a book titled  Hush, a best seller  which described a scene where the protagonist witnesses a friend getting raped by her own family in the Ger community. At the time she wrote it under a pen name, "Aishas Chayil" but she was subsequently outed. She then went public to lecture the community about sexual abuse in the Chassidic community.

Her mother, Ruth, is the publisher of Hamodia, and wants to continue her family minhag of keeping her mouth shut about a serial rapist and adulterer, a menace to the frum community. Shame on her, she has learnt nothing.

One of the most emotionally challenging and dramatic cases handled by the Rabbinical Courts in recent memory came to an end when Orly Vital was granted freedom from her husband on Tuesday.
Vital, a Beit Shemesh resident and mother of four, received her get (Jewish divorce document) after nearly 14 years of continuous halachic (Jewish legal) struggle. When Vital initially asked her ex-husband R. for a divorce, he told her that he would only give her this essential document if she fulfilled a series of financial demands.

Rebbetzen Tziporah Heller: "We Can't Judge Rapists. Only Journalists."

From the RationalistJudiasm blog:

I was hoping to move on from the Walder mess, but something came to my attention which has to be addressed. It's something that Rav Berkovits mentioned, and which has been vaguely messaged from many parts of charedi society.

But now I saw it spelled out, nauseatingly, in an essay by the generally wise and respected Rebbetzen Tziporah Heller-Gottlieb. Seriously, I feel that I have to give a warning before linking to her essay, as it is immensely triggering.

Watch How the Media drooled over Elizabeth Holmes "The Fraudster"

If you are a Victim of Abuse do not go to any Rav they won't help you ..Here is a history of those who did go

This is also in  response to this week's article in Mishpacha magazine featuring Rabbi Lopiansky

For those not on twitter:

In 2013 Yossi Kolko, nephew of prolific child rapist Yiddy Kolko, started raping a child in lakewood. He raped him in camp then came back to Lakewood and raped him for a few more months. The kid finally disclosed to his father who being a good Lakewood man went to beis din.

The beis din found Yossi guilty paskened that he couldn't be a rebbi anymore and had to go to 12 weeks of therapy. He stopped going after 6. The father went back to the beis din to get them to enforce their psak and they told him they had no power to do that.

Having tried the internal system he sent a letter to Rav Shternbuch asking for permission to go to the police. Rav Shternbuch said yes. Yossi was eventually arrested. Meantime, noted gadol Yisroel Belsky wrote a letter calling the accusation a lie.

Yisroel Belsky had written a similar letter decades prior for Yossie's uncle Yiddy after he was accused of raping boys at Torah Temimah (also being sued under the CVA). The father was fired from his job as a rosh bechina at BMG and the son was expelled from yeshiva.

Eventually Yossi pleaded guilty and at his allocution he said that he had done it because he had been molested by his uncle Yiddy Kolko (whom Belsky had written a letter for saying the allegations were false).

A few rabbis in Lakewood wrote an apology to the father for believing Belsky's letter, but it was too late. He couldn't get his job back and his son couldn't get back into yeshiva. That's what internal reporting does, and that's why it's wrong.

Even when the father did what the community wanted him to do he and his son were thrown out and branded as moisrim. The Father a chushiver Rav sold his shul and home and left to another state. This is why Lopiansky's stupid idea for a panel in @themishpacha is so harmful. All it leads to is coverup and harm to victims.

If Lopiansky really cares about victims as he claims to he should work to rectify the reasons why victims are so scared to report in the community instead of throwing his hands up in the air and then suggesting harmful, illegal, stupidity.

Israel faces grave outlook for burial space

Since the Jewish state’s creation 61 years ago, cemeteries across the small country have been filling up with graves. Cremation could be an option, but ritual Jewish law bans the practice. So plots are at a premium and space is tight.

At the entrance to Jerusalem, one of the city’s largest cemeteries now juts out and touches the highway as an eerie reminder to all passing by just how little land is available.

The Yeshivaworld News Blog Will not talk about Monster Walder but did allow a "letter to editor" but then allows comments that basically say that Walder is innocent

To my DIN readers: If you made a comment on any of my posts about Monster Walder and you don't see your comment, know that I do not post any comments that support the Monster. If you want to to voice your sick ideas about this vile sick animal, you can go to his grave in Petach Tikva and daven there. I am sure that this will soon be a shrine for all those supporting sexual perverts.

The letter:

After hearing about the tragic events last week, I read an article about how to talk to children about what had happened. One of the things it explained was how suicide is a final solution to a temporary problem. After reading the article I thought about how lucky I was that I didn’t need to speak to my kids about this. It also spoke about protecting the innocence of children. In my naivety, I thought they were too young, only 9 and 11. I would be saved from the hassle of needing to have a talk with them. Boy was I wrong. When they came home from school, they brought it up. However, the narrative was one that I did not want them to hear. It was full of falsehood and lies.

Rabbi YY Rubinstein Resigns After 30 Years at BBC Over ‘Inexcusable’ Antisemitism

A rabbi who has worked for the BBC for decades has tendered his resignation with the British Broadcasting Corporation in response to their handling of a story about a Hanukkah night attack on a group of Jewish teens.

In a letter, Rabbi YY Rubinstein, who has worked for both BBC radio and television (and also write for the Jewish Press), said, “This is a very sad moment for me as I have been a BBC broadcaster for some 30 years. … The current crisis over anti-Semitism at the corporation and its attempts to turn the victims of the recent anti-Semitic attack on Jewish children in London and claim that the victims were actually the perpetrators, was and is inexcusable. The obfuscation, denial that followed, was and is utterly damning.

“ … I simply don’t see how I or in fact any Jew who has any pride in that name can be associated with the corporation anymore,” he continued.

His decision to leave follows a plethora of criticism stemming from a broadcast in which BBC staff attempted to paint the teenage victims of a Nov. 30 anti-Semitic attack on a busy London street during Hanukkah as the offenders.

Video clips of the incident show men attacking the bus carrying the teens to an event. In its on-air reporting, BBC stated that the Jewish teens made racial slurs against Muslims, despite there being no evidence to support the claim.

The broadcast led to a protest rally outside the BBC, organized by the Campaign Against Antisemitism (CAA), with people demanding the BBC stop blaming the Jews and tell the truth.

A spokesperson for CAA responded to news of the resignation saying, “Rabbi Rubinstein’s courageous and principled decision to resign as a broadcaster at the BBC is just the latest sign of the collapse in the Jewish community’s confidence in the corporation. No self-respecting Jewish person wants to be publicly associated with the BBC after it yet again demonstrated its bias against Jews in its recent reportage of an anti-Semitic incident on Oxford Street in Central London.

“We have written to the BBC and held a rally …. But the BBC has only doubled down and refused to accept its error or apologize, adopt the international definition of anti-Semitism or accept anti-Semitism training,” the spokesman continued. The BBC “is once more attempting to bludgeon the Jewish community into silence by hiding behind layers of unaccountable bureaucracy. With the support of a furious Jewish community, we will continue to pressure the Corporation to change its ways and live up to its legal obligations.”

Just last week, the Simon Wiesenthal Center named the British Broadcasting Company in its “Global Anti-Semitism Top 10.”

" I know some are going to say “but maybe he did teshuva! How do you know he’s still doing this?”

"He knows who his alleged victims are. He’s made no attempt to atone for the irreversible harm he’s caused them. Given those facts, we must assume he’s still dangerous."

His alleged abuse has been public knowledge since at least 2015, when he was added to the Wall of Shame of Jewish Community Watch, a now-defunct organization raising awareness about abusers. This was not common knowledge however until May 2021, when the recording was shared.

Chareidi Grassroots Activists Defy Rabbis and Distribute 320,000 Fliers Stating: ‘We All Believe The Victims’

In an act of defiance towards the established leadership of the Chareidi community, a group of activists distributed fliers in Chareidi neighborhoods stating that “We all believe the victims”, referring to the revelations regarding Chaim Walder.

Hundreds of thousands of such fliers were distributed Friday, depicting a young girl holding her hand over her mouth and including the caption “We all believe the victims.” The girl’s mouth is being shut by a man wearing a bracelet which states that “Lashon Hara doesn’t speak to me”, a reference to Chareidi concerns about Lashon Hara regarding victims of abuse which can lead to silence in the face of such abuse.

The backside of the fliers explains the importance of speaking out about sexual abuse and believing the alleged victims. The pamphlets were placed on bulletin boards, stuck in mailboxes and distributed in shuls around Israel.

The campaign, which involved 150 volunteers who distributed the fliers, is a response to claims by Chareidi leaders and media outlets that the stories of Walder’s alleged victims who came forward in recent months are Lashon Hara and may have caused Walder to take his own life. The Chareidi activists behind the campaign, who preferred to remain anonymous, decided to strengthen the victims and to negate the response of the Chareidi media, which lauded Walder as “well-known writer and educator” and omitted any of the abuse allegations or the manner in which he died.

The campaign organizers have launched a crowdfunding campaign in order to produce another batch of fliers.

Israeli Chief Rabbi David Lau made a condolence visit to Walder’s family. In response to the uproar that ensued, he issued a statement, expressing his support for Walder’s victims.

“Unfortunately, there were those who interpreted the fact that I made a condolence call to the mourners — widows and orphans who I know personally, and there is no need to exaggerate what they are going through — as if I do not identify with victims,” Lau said in letter released Sunday.

“My heart goes out to the victims who are going through some very difficult days, and we must all stand by them always, and at this time in particular. I believe completely everyone who has been affected,” he added.

When the allegations first came to light in November, a number of Chareidi entities severed their ties with Walder. Radio Kol Chai stopped featuring Walder’s program, Hidabrut magazine stopped accepting his stories and the Otiyot children’s magazine said it would stop publishing his stories. At his funeral it was claimed that he had decided of his own volition to stop writing in the Yated Neeman Newspaper

*yemach shemo-may his name be obliterated

In Memory of Shifra Yocheved Horowitz Zecher Tzadekes L'Brocha
Shifra was a victim of the vicious, pernicious, and malicious monster whose name I shall not utter.

Ms. Horowitz committed suicide this week as a result of the crippling abuse she suffered at the hands of cw.
Where were the throngs at her levaya?

I will no longer give this evil, demonic maniac the "honor" of upper-case letters; rather, he is lower-cased to cw.

And In Honor of The True Heroes- The BRAVE VICTIMS who came forward and as Shimshon did years before them, they showed gevura in the face of the multitudes who were against them.
Ultimately, they brought down the predator forever and prevented more boys, girls, women (and who knows who else) from being abused, humiliated, and destroyed.
We honor these victims of terror.
They are our heroes
We thank Hashem that cw can no longer continue his reign of terror against our people.
May the name of the evil rot

In this article, I will convey universally accepted Torah principles and present a true Torah approach to the disastrous debacle of cw.

Don't give the schnorrer Uriel Goldman a cent, He is collecting for the Lev Tahor Kidnappers

Throughout Charedi communities in the United States as well as on social media, warnings have been posted regarding one Uriel Goldman who is allegedly engaged in collecting funds for the Lev Tahor community, widely viewed as a cult.

“Warning: Uriel Goldman, head of Lev Tahor, is collecting funds in Brooklyn,” reads one such posting. Another reads, “Uriel Goldman is now in Brooklyn, presenting himself as someone who is collecting funds for needy families abroad. In fact, the money is used by the Lev Tahor cult in Guatemala.” Some of the ads are written in Yiddish; several allege that the money collectors raise will be used in order to “kidnap children.”

According to community activists who are engaged in trying to prevent the cult from moving to Iran, Lev Tahor’s members are endeavoring to raise money to fund lawyers, buses, hotel rooms, and additional expenditures, in order to reach that country. The activists are determined to prevent them from doing so, as it will be impossible to monitor the group’s activities if they succeed in settling in the Islamic state.

Activists, as well as those who have left Lev Tahor, say that the group also uses part of its funds for its legal battles against those seeking to extricate their loved ones from Lev Tahor. One former member told Behadrey Haredim, “The children appear malnourished and actually hungry. Their clothes are ragged and torn. Their money is used for their wars against the whole world – if they cared about their children, they would provide them with their needs. They wouldn’t wander from one place to the next; they would settle somewhere normal, like the Skver or Tosh communities have, for instance.”

Behadrey Haredim contacted Uriel Goldman, who told them, “These people just hate us and they are doing things like this all the time. I don’t take people’s money in order to fund trips to Switzerland and not to fund terrorism either. Now they want to stop us from having money to buy food too. If someone thinks that we don’t deserve to have food to eat, I’ll take him to a din Torah with the Ribbono Shel Olam [to the Heavenly Court]. We trust in G-d and He will provide for us. These people are persecuting us for no good reason.”

Goldman added that, “No one asked us if the allegations have any basis to them. They just write what they want. G-d will help us. I’m not going to get stressed out about people who have always persecuted us.”

Rav Yitzchak Berkovits on Chaim Walder: ‘Narcissist and a Sociopath'

Rav Yitchak Berkovits, one of the preeminent and most respected American poskim in Israel, conducted a Zoom video call with therapists and mental health professionals in the aftermath of the Chaim Walder matter.

He discussed multiple lessons and takeaways from this challenging episode, and clarified the position of the Gedolim in this complex matter.

Rav Berkovits essentially said that any doubts that one may have had about the allegations were erased by Walder himself.

He said, “What made things very clear was the suicide note. This was not a depressed person writing a note. This was narcissism at its best, this was manipulative, this was a person preparing to commit a violent crime, murder, and the victims…all of us, [he intended that] we should all feel guilty for his death. I think to any level headed human being who has any sensitivity to human beings and a bit of nuance–it’s obvious.”

He added, “We are dealing with a sociopath, who knows how many victims we don’t know about, who knows how many lives were destroyed.”

The Rav said that he does not know why this was not handled by the conventional Bais Din protocol. He was not critical of anyone involved, however he said that victims generally do not need to face perpetrators in Bais Din, and that many Batei Din have dealt with these issues extremely effectively.

He also said that while not every complaint is substantiated, that is usually the exception and not the rule.

In addition, the Rav said that he highly doubts the claim that “nobody wanted to touch this case”, because many cases like this have been properly handled in Bais Din and predators have been punished and prevented from acting further.

He said that “Rav Shmuel Eliyahu has a heart of gold, and when he heard from victims, that was certainly not something that he could live with.”

Rav Berkovits was adamant that males should never counsel females. He told the professionals that “the number one takeaway is that there is no heter for a male to counsel a female, whether as a therapist, counselor, or coach…seminaries where young charismatic good looking men teach women, we have had too many problems, there is something sick with that.”

The Rav said there “are plenty of competent professional women and there is no reason or justification for a woman to ever visit a man.”

He said “in theory it should all be professional, however l’maaseh it is not that way.”

Rav Berkovits is Rosh Kollel in the renowned Jerusalem Kollel. He is recognized world-wide as a prominent posek and ba’al eitzah. Through his varied roles in the kiruv world, he has become a sought after speaker and his advice on complex community matters is valued by Rabbonim and leaders across the globe.

An Open Letter from an Abuse Survivor

Dear random anonymous person on the internet,

What if it were your daughter? Your sister? Your brother? Your best friend?

Would you still be out here screaming Lashon Hora? Innocent until proven guilty?

If you answered in the affirmative, you can stop reading now. You’re not my target audience. I’m looking for those who can actually stop defending for a second and just…..listen.

Because we really really need you to listen to us.

In a Stunning Reversal Walder’s Own Lawyer Backtracks and Apologizes to Haaretz Reporter

In a stunning turnaround, Dovi Weinroth, Chaim Walder’s lawyer and personal confidant, appears to have backtracked from his role as an apologist of Walder’s.

In addition, Mr. Weinroth apologized to the Haaretz reporter who first broke the story, after calling him a murderer at Walder’s hesped.

On Thursday Mr. Weinroth published an emotional and candid Facebook post, in which he discussed the importance of focusing on the unspeakable pain and torture that the victims suffered. He also expressed remorse for his own words at Walder’s levaya.

He wrote, “I write post-trauma. Like everyone else, I have been going through a very difficult personal upheaval since Chaim Walder’s suicide. This story is a kind of horror film. It is never too late to hear the sound of those who were shattered.”

He also addressed his apology to the reporter, saying, “I picked up the phone and called Aharon Rabinovitch. Truthfully this was the first time, and for a simple reason. To apologize. At the end of the day I never spoke with him. [Yet] I got up at the levaya and demeaned him.”

He wrote about Mr. Rabinovitch’s gracious and forgiving response. “Dovi I’m not upset at you. You were eulogizing a friend. I can understand that. Of course I disagree with you and think you did not convey the right message. You missed the most important point, but I did not take it as an attack. Do not worry one bit.” .

Mr. Weinroth went further, saying that the extreme concern to avoid lashon hara may have led to a lack of concern about the victims.

He wrote, “I understand that the most dangerous part of this has been the lectures against lashon hara, for one simple reason: The Charedi community has not offered any alternative. To frighten people about speaking lashon hara about a matter like this only worsens the situation.

“I missed [the point], and I missed it in a huge way. At the hesped, I spoke about lashon hara, and I now realize that only exacerbates the problem, if certain other prerequisites are not first met. Likewise, everyone must ask themselves, what is their motivation for their comments or publication–to repair or to gossip?”

Bais Yaakov Boro Park Sends Letter to Parents..."Talking about the Rapist Walder is Loshon Hara"

Let's take a break and listen to one of R' Ben-Zion Shenker's beautiful compositions

Rabbi Shraga Feivel Zimmerman Answers the "Loshon Hara-nikers" ,,, "Walder's Act Was a Staged act of Narcissism"

Response To Rabbi Edelstein's Fatwa that "These Matters Must Be Dealt With Confidentially"

Rabanim had the field to themselves for 60 years, they told us NOT to go to the police, to come to them, to deal with it in secret, under the radar. The result is Yehuda Meshi Zahav, Chaim Walder, Eliezer Berland, Malka Leifer and too many others to count. all were prolific serial rapists, who were well known to Aaskanim and Rabanim.

We trusted our Rabonim and they shattered that trust, they allowed child rape to go on for years! in fact there was a vaad/ committee set up in Bnei-Barak by Rabanim where people were told to log complaints of abuse and guess whom they selected as head of this committee, none other than Chaim Walder!! Some cruel joke.

Then comes along Aaron Rabinovitch and puts an abrubt end to this Retzicha almost single handedly, he did in 2 month what all Rabonim were unable or unwilling to do for 30 years, and what do these same Rabonim say?? No no this is not the right way to do it!! come to us we will handle it in secret, under the radar…. let us handle this

This is the very definition of insanity, doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results! we have tried that for 60 years, and if we continue doing this we will unfortunately get the same results.

Sadly, going to the press is  the only option. For decades and way too often, Rabbonim have covered-up abuse and been complicit in allowing abusers to change locations. To claim that “all those” who go to the media are simply trying to cause harm is simplistic. Why is it not possible to be dan l’kaph zechus and say that many of them are trying to help by publicizing the matter in order to save the community from harm? It’s disappointing to see such a weak, ad hominem, attack being used.

The attitude of “we shouldn’t talk about such things” only works to shield the abusers and allow Rabbonim to avoid responsibility.

a) Is Rabbi Edelstein telling us it is halacha that I will have olam haba if I have an affair? Please answer yes or no
b) Is the Rov saying that a TRUSTED public CHAREIDI figure who is claimed by multiple people over many years to have violated d’oraisos that harm other chareidi yidden.should not be outed among the community ?
and most importantly,
c) Who is going to protect us in the chareidi olam from the crime, the abuse, the sham leaders and the false tzidkus that is out there if our gedolim are not going to??
