Yisroel Meir Chasparski, a 24-year-old Bochur Of Modi'in Illit Drowns in a Mikva well....
After some eight hours of working, police, rescue officials and ZAKA succeeded in extricating the body of a chareidi man from a narrow well near Modi’in Illit near the Green Park neighborhood in the chareidi city.
Authorities say that some children were playing in the area, and saw a man climb into the well to toivel. They never saw him emerge, and later saw his clothing near the well. The children immediately summoned emergency authorities, and shortly after their arrival, it was determined that it was no longer a rescue mission but one of recovery.
Chaim Autmazgan, the commander of the ZAKA unit explained “during the eight-hour period, ZAKA volunteers worked together with the ZAKA divers, assisted by firefighters and police at the scene to extricate the body from the well”.
Autmazgan reported the recovery of the body was a complicated operation due to the size of the well and other factors. Eventually, it was MDA paramedic Felix Loton who got the body out, with ZAKA diving experts directing his movements.
Couple in the Catskills verbally assault Jewish man in lengthy - and vulgar - anti-Semitic rant.
Footage of an anti-Semitic couple in the Catskills has gone viral, after the two launched into an expletive-laden anti-Jewish rant against a Jewish driver.
The incident occurred in the city of Monticello, in Sullivan County, New York recently, when the anti-Semitic couple accused 25-year-old Brooklyn musician Isaac Bernath of cutting them off on the road, in an apparent case of road rage.
“Go back to f***ing Brooklyn,” the husband said, while giving the middle finger to Bernath. “Right there, to all of you f***ing non-tax paying scumbags.”
If it were unclear that the couple’s rant was directed at Jews, the husband quickly removed any doubt.
“You’re pieces of s***, your whole f***ing religion.”
“You dirty, nasty people. You ruin the whole place.”
Behind him, the man’s wife repeated the words “Inbred, inbred.”
Bernath said such anti-Semitic incidents were common.
"This is a very common occurrence,” he told News 12.
“I wasn't surprised, but I was glad I got it on video to expose it."
Gary Siepser of the Jewish Federation of Rockland condemned the incident as “mindless, stupid hate”.
"Particularly disturbing for members of the Jewish community. We know our history. We know what this sort of mindless, stupid hate can lead to.”

Meah Shearim Fanatics Chase Out Their Own Elected Deputy Chareidie Mayor With "Sheigatz Arois"
Sikrikim on Wednesday afternoon, 8 Shevat, attacked Deputy Jerusalem Mayor Yossi Deutsch during the afternoon hours. The Yahadut Hatorah deputy mayor was not injured. The attack occurred near the Slonim Yeshiva in Meah Shearim.
According to a Kikar Shabbos News report, Deutsch was compelled to hide in the Avner barber shop as would-be assailants stood outside shouting at him. They accuse him of informing authorities of the identities of those hanging pashkavilim against induction into the IDF.
As Deutsch was making his escape from the barber shop, some tried to prevent him in the hope more protesters would come to their aid. This was the second attack against him in Meah Shearim in recent weeks.
Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat called on Jerusalem Police Chief to personally order an investigation into the attack and bring the attackers to justice.

Jennifer Lopez lands in Israel in her first ever visit to the country
DIN Staff was told that J-Lo is not "makpid" about doing a music concert in the 3 weeks ...her spokesman added that "nowhere in the entire Talmud or in the entire Shulchn Aruch is it written that one cannot play or listen to music in the 3 weeks.."
She pointed out that the Chasam Sofer (o.ch.160) writes that the halacha of משנכנס אב ממעטין בשמחה refers to only one halacha which is "Not to build a בנין של שמחה in the 9 days..... not the 3 weeks.
All other restrictions, halachically doesn't even start on Rosh Chodosh Av but starts at the beginning of the week of Tisha B'av שבוע שחל בו ....
and this year since Tisha Be'ov is on a Sunday we don't even have a שבוע שחל בו .... so where do the 3 weeks come from?
DIN explained to her spokesman that, number one ...the restrictions do start from Rosh Chodesh, which will be this Thursday night, when she will have her concert, because since we are Ashkenazim,we follow the minhag Rema that says
ואנו נוהגין להחמיר
DIN also added that we actually do have a minhag not to listen to music in the 3 weeks even though it's takeh not explicitly written in the Shulchan Aruch...
We know this from a Pri Megadim that says that someone who makes a living playing for goyim may continue to play in the 3 weeks... which is mashmeh that Jews had a minhag not to play or listen to music in the 3 weeks.
Also the Rema 551:2 and 4 writes we don't do weddings in the three weeks ... even though the Mechaber only holds ..... שבוע שחל בו
So if we cannot do weddings which is a mitzvah we certainly cannot do concerts according to the Ramah.
During these intense halachic discussions, J-Lo piped in... and quipped .... "if I were Jewish I would have been a Sfardi ..."
DIN didn't get to discuss with the J-Lo team Kol Isha!
Lopez, who goes by the moniker J-Lo, was accompanied by her fiancé Alexander “A-Rod” Rodriguez, a former professional baseball star, and her 11-year-old twins from her marriage to singer Mark Anthony.
This is the 50-year-old singer’s first time visiting the country.
The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer came out of the plane wearing a leopard-print crop top and a matching pair of leggings with oversized sunglasses covering her face.
The concert in Israel - as part of her “It’s My Party” world tour - is one of only five live shows to take place outside of North America.
She is considered one of the world's biggest pop stars, who during her last musical tour sold over 1 million tickets and some 80 million records worldwide.
The pop star is set to take the Tel Aviv's stage at 8:45pm this Thursday.

Grand New Entrance To Jerusalem Will Transform The Historic Skyline
An ambitious plan for the new entrance to Jerusalem is underway, which will forever change the main entrance to the capital city of Israel.
The new complex, expected to be completed by 2022, spans over 300,000 square meters (328,084 square yards) and is expected to cost about NIS 1.5 billion ($435 million). The project will feature 24 towers, spanning between 24 and 40 flights tall. The towers will include approximately 1.5 million square meters of space that will be used for office space, hotels, housing units, and commerce.
Chief Sfardi Rabbi Yosef Asks Sfardim: "Why Do You Grow Your Peyois, Why Wear Tzizis Outside? It's Not Our Minhag ...
Sfardim dress look like Ashkeneizim and dress like them too ...
I'm talking about the "Yeshivishe guys."
Well, now the Sfardi Chief Rabbi, R' Yitzchok Yosef, sharply criticized the Sfardim ....
He asked where "did they get the minhag of growing wild Peyois like (the sexual pervert) Berland, wearing Tzizis outside and Techeilis come from?"
Where did "they get the minhag to dress in white?"
In reference to having Techielis is tzizis, he asked:
Did Harav Eliyashiv or Harav Auerbach wear Techeilis?
In reference to wearing tzizis outside, he asked:
"Did Harav Ovadia Yosef or Chacham Yehuda Tzuska wear tzizis outside?"
On growing peyois especially to the pipuk, he asked:
"Did the Ben Ish Chai, the Kaf Hachayim or Harav Yosef have peyois?"
"That's not our Minhag!"
If the Ashkenazim want to grow their peyois, or wear their tzizis outside... Kol Hakovoid....... but we are not Ashkenazim and we shouldn't be imitating them!
So God performs open miracles to clear you of group sex?
Last night was extremely difficult for me.
Seeing those Israelis in Cyprus cleared of rape (but guilty of plenty of other stuff) wearing kippot and giving thanks to God for “saving them” made me ill. Part of my reaction was based on what they did. Part of my reaction was based on what they represent.
A quick background on the story:
A couple of weeks ago, 12 Israelis vacationing in Cyprus were arrested for sexually assaulting (raping) a British tourist. Since then, this woman has retracted her charges and is being charged with placing a false complaint. Having said that, there is no dispute that many of these teens had sexual relations with her, filmed the action, and sent the video out on social media. Anyone wanting to read more about the sordid story can do so here.
Max Berger Self Hating Jew Works For "Pocohantos"
Max Berger, now an aide to Elizabeth Warren, organized and participated in anti-Israel protests and compared IDF anti-terror ops to pogroms.
Days after Israeli ground troops entered the Gaza Strip in 2014, following the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teens at the hands of Hamas terrorists, a group of far-left millennial Jews gathered to plan a public protest of the military operation.
The new group, which called itself IfNotNow, discussed a public demonstration in front of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, an establishment Jewish umbrella group.
Max Berger was one of the planners who urged them to take it a step further: The protesters should get arrested at the Presidents’ Conference headquarters in New York, he suggested. And they should recite kaddish, the traditional Jewish mourner’s prayer, for Israelis and Arabs who had died in the fighting.
When the protest took place, on July 28, 2014, that’s what they did. Berger was one of nine Jews arrested in the Presidents’ Conference building.

No excuses for remaining outside the land! Parshas Mattos ....And The Birth of Bnei Brak
Gleaned from the works of Harav Avraham Yitzchok Kook z"l
Moses’ rage was palpable. “You have risen in your fathers’ places as a band of sinners!” (Num. 32:14).
When the tribes of Gad and Reuben petitioned not to cross the Jordan River and enter Israel proper, Moses denounced the proposition and lashed out at them. “Why are you trying to discourage the Israelites from crossing over to the Land that God has given them?”
We can certainly understand Moses’ anger and frustration. But this incident took place not long after he was punished for berating the people at Mei Merivah. When he snapped at the people, “Listen now, you rebels!” (Num. 19:10), God informed Moses that he would not be leading the Jewish people into the Land of Israel.
We similarly find that the prophet Isaiah was punished for his harsh criticism when he lamented, “I live among a people of unclean lips” (6:5).
Yet there is no indication that Moses was wrong in his scathing response to the tribes of Gad and Reuben. What was different?

All Israeli youths accused of rape detained in Cyprus released .... .."Victim" Arrested For False Charges !
Cyprus police Sunday released from detention seven Israelis and said the British teenager who accused them of gang rape would face court on suspicion of making a false allegation.
"All seven Israelis have been released, since 10:00 am," police spokesman Christos Andreou told AFP.
"The young woman will be taken to court tomorrow morning (Monday)," he added.
Earlier, a police source said the British teenager had been arrested.
"She is facing charges of giving a false statement over an imaginary offence," the police source told AFP.
Initially, the 19-year-old woman had alleged that 12 Israelis gang raped her at the hotel where she was staying in the popular Ayia Napa resort on July 17.
The young Israeli tourists were remanded in custody the next day. But hours before their second appearance in court five of them were released and sent home late on Thursday.
The remaining seven had their remand order renewed for another six days on Friday. None had been charged, and both hearings took place behind closed doors because some of the suspects were minors.
Ayia Napa is a magnet for younger tourists attracted by its party reputation and white sand beaches.
Britain is the island's biggest tourist market with around 1.3 million of its citizens travelling to Cyprus every year while nearby Israel is also becoming a key source of visitors.
When Ben-Gurion Blessed Someone That He Should Be Successful in Bringing Up His Children & Grandchildren with "Torah & Good Deeds"
When Ben Gurion turned 80 years old, he received thousands of good wishes from all over the world, but there was one in particular, that he cherished the most.
Yaakov Guthertz was lucky to get an "aliyah" to the Torah on Yom Kippur of 1966, in a shul in Herzliyah...... the minhag of that shul as is in most shuls in the world is that the one who receives an aliyah get an opportunity to make a "Mee She'beirach" where he also pledges to donate to the shul or other holy institution.
Yaakov Guthertz asked the gabbai of the shul to make the "Mee She'beirach" in honor of Ben Guion's 80th birthday and pledged a considerable amount of money in honor of the first Prime Minister of Israel.
When Ben Gurion, who was convalescing in Haifah, heard about this from Emanuel Harusie, a prominent author, Ben Gurion wrote a letter thanking Yaakov Guthertz for the "Mee She'beirach" and subsequently wished him among other blessings that he should have nachas of his children and grandchildren and that he merit to be successful
Below is the letter in Ben Gurion's own handwriting

"in bringing them up to Torah and good deeds!"Below is the letter in Ben Gurion's own handwriting
Loose translation:
"The well known writer Emanuel Harusie wrote me, that you received an aliyah to the Torah last Yom Kippur, and after the blessing, you made a "Mee She'beirach for me pledging a considerable amount of money in honor of my 80th birthday.
I received thousands of good wishes from all corners of Israel and its outlying areas.
I will not say that any of these wishes were in any way less in my eyes ... in fact I appreciate each and every blessing.
But I was totally blown away when Emanuel Harusie told me about what you did.
I am therefore sending you my deep gratitude and sincere blessing that you derive much nachas from your children and grandchildren that you be successful in bringing them up in Torah and good deeds.
Our complete independence and redemption has yet to be completed ... and the work to achieve that, is still great before each and everyone of us, be he old or young, and we must therefore exert effort in achieving those goals and make Israel worthy of the prophesies of the Prophet Yeshayahu the son of Amotz:
"I will set you for a covenant to the people, for a light to the nations"
With best regards,
D. Ben Gurion, Nof Yam "

Chabad Guy Becomes a Frum Grandmother
“That was an amazing act you performed for us tonight,” the man said, cryptically. “Take care of yourself.”
Smith managed to stay composed — but in that moment, the ultra-Orthodox Jewish father-of-six’s head began to spin.
“In that moment, I sensed my problem was becoming visible on the outside,” the former yeshiva teacher, now named Yiscah Smith, tells The Post. “I thought I had done a good job of hiding my secret until then.”
Nearly three decades after that fateful encounter at the family home, Smith, 68, is the subject of the upcoming film “I Was Not Born a Mistake,” about her transition from a Chabad man to an observant grandmother of 18.
The documentary, showing at film festivals starting this fall, chronicles Smith’s childhood on Long Island through life as a married scholar in Crown Heights — and her eventual gender transition in 2004.
“I never thought it would be this amazing,” says Smith, now divorced.
The Flustered Mueller Couldn't Have Written His Report... Had No Clue What Was Written Inside
Among his talents, Donald Trump has a special gift for driving his detractors so crazy that they do really stupid stuff. The decision by Democrats to force Robert Mueller to testify before Congress is Exhibit A.
Bumblin’ Bob was a train wreck of epic proportions. The fallout is immediate, starting with this: impeachment is no longer an option.
It had a slim chance before Wednesday’s painful slog and no chance after it.
Mueller was that bad, seemingly hard of hearing, often confused and contradicted himself several times.
The Dems’ fantasy of having him breathe life into his report backfired.
His dismal performance killed any possibility that his 450-page tome could serve as a road map for overturning the 2016 election and driving Trump from office.
Although Mueller’s general demeanor was disturbing, it was also instructive. He did not project the mental and physical vigor of someone capable of leading the complex two-year probe into Russian meddling, possible Trump collusion and obstruction of justice.
More likely, the 74-year old former FBI director was something of a figure-head for an investigation that was carried out by the team of zealots he assembled.
3,500-Year-Old Staircase Reveals Grand Dimensions of Ancient Palace in Northern Israel
I'm disappointed .... no elevators?
A recently uncovered ancient staircase at the Tel Hazor archeological site in Northern Israel, the largest biblical-era site in the country, hints to the grandiose palace that once stood at the site, used by the Canaanite kings of Hatzor.
The staircase, preserved in excellent condition, is 4.5 meters wide and consists of at least seven stairs made from wide basalt slabs. The staircase was part of a palace located at the entrance to an ancient Canaanite town of Hazor. The palace is estimated to have housed the king of Hazor, who ruled over a large area in northern Israel.
Excavation director Prof. Amnon Ben-Tor, of the Institute of Archeology at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, commented on the findings that “when discussing biblical sites, the staircase that was found shows once again that there are other biblical sites, and then there is Hazor.”
Dr. Shlomit Bachar, a researcher on the site, explained the significance of the staircase for the accumulative knowledge about the Hazor site.
