Police investigating death of frum "schnorrer" Video

Homicide detectives are investigating the mysterious death of an Orthodox Jewish man who begged for money outside synagogues, even though his massive collection of vintage TV photos was said to be worth millions of dollars.
55 year old Howard Frank was discovered floating face down in the Gowanus Canal on June 29th, a couple of days after he was last seen outside the Landau shul on Avenue “L” in Flatbush.
“I actually think he was murdered,” said shul regular, Aaron Farrell, when PIX 11 met him outside the synagogue on Friday.  “He was always nervous the last few weeks.  He was saying he owed $80,000 to someone and he was supposed to meet him.”
The money was apparently owed for Bensonhurst storage fees to house Howard Frank’s huge collection of one million photos ….of TV stars from the 1950’s to the 1990’s.  He had ten thousand pictures of the late comedienne, Lucille Ball, and used to license them to magazines and other publications.  He started collecting when he was 18, but his business took a “downturn” after the9/11 terror attacks hurt the economy.  Still,  Frank was trying to find ways to digitize his collection.
On Wednesday night, June 27th, other members of the Landau synagogue noticed Frank left much earlier than usual.  His business partner of recent years, Frank Pohole, told PIX 11 that Howard Frank never made it home to Sunset Park, where Pohole had given the collector a place to sleep.  Pohole was operating the website, Personality Photos.com, that sought to sell Howard Frank’s collection to serious bidders, if they were willing to offer “eight digits”.  Those offering anything less were told to not bother contacting the site.

According to Howard Frank’s estranged brother, Reuven, acquaintances of Howard’s later said the troubled collector was telling them, “People were after him.  They wanted to kill him.”
Some believe Howard Frank committed suicide, because he was evicted from his apartment several years ago, didn’t have a job, and owed money.
When we reached Frank Pohole on the phone Friday, we asked him about a document Howard Frank signed about a week before his death,  putting a “lien” for $78,000 on his photo collection, in the event he died.  This was to cover the storage fees he accumulated over the last, few years.
“Don’t you think it’s curious the timing of him signing this, and then he’s dead a week later?” PIX 11 asked Pohole.
Pohole responded, “Well, there were a lot of other things in Howard’s life he never told me about.”
Pohole suggested that Howard Frank was sharing information about Brooklyn’s Satmar Hasidic community with others, and this could have angered some people.
“Howard kept a lot of things to himself,” Pohole told PIX 11.  The business partner said he was cooperating fully with detectives from the 72nd Precinct in Brooklyn and “I told them what I knew.”
When we asked Pohole about the “eight figures” he wanted, before selling the collection, he responded, “You start high, then you work your way somewhere else.”
Howard Frank’s collection contained publicity shots from famous series like “Bewitched”, “Gilligan’s Island,” and “The Partridge Family.”  He also had pictures of film stars like Clark Gable and Humphrey Bogart.
Reuven Frank said his brother’s begging—and his photo collection—sometimes helped Frank Pohole pay bills.  “He told me he was paying this guy’s property taxes,” Reuven Frank said.
Frank Pohole acknowledged that was the case, at times.  He answered all the questions PIX 11 put to him freely.
Howard Frank’s body was prepared for burial by an Orthodox Jewish group, without his brother being consulted, and the family later contacted Shmarya Rosenberg at FailedMessiah.com, hoping to expand the investigation.  Rosenberg wrote a lengthy article about the case, speaking to PIX 11 on Friday.  Regarding reports that Howard Frank was troubled and suffering from some kind of mental illness, Rosenberg noted, “Most mentally ill people don’t commit suicide.”
Howard Frank had never threatened suicide, according to his brother and sister-in –law.  “He wouldn’t kill himself,” said Barbara Frank.  “He was eccentric, but he wouldn’t kill himself.”
Yet Frank sensed he was going to die, in the days before he turned up in the Gowanus Canal.  “He was saying good-bye to friends and telling them, ‘nice knowing you,’” his brother said.

Islamists throw man out of window! These are the "people" that the world want Israel to deal with! Video

There is no other way to describe it. It is plain and simple.

Radical Islamists are the most cruel and inhumane people roaming the planet. The sooner the west will win the war on Islamic terror the sooner the world will once again become a more peaceful place.

A video posted on YouTube's website seems to show the Islamists throwing a man to his death, after forcing him out from a third floor window in Syria.

According to the site, the cameraman says, "This is what happens to all traitors who support the
police or Shabbiha Syrian government militia." The man, identified as Wael Abu Rashid, is shouting, "In God's name, no," as he is forced out of the window.

The video was shot last week in a block of flats in Nabk, 80 kilometers north of Damascus. Both parties to the conflict have been slammed by human rights organizations for abuses, including torture.

Spectacular Pictures from Mars

A winter on Mars: NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity shows the ruddy terrain which the voyaging robot spent the Martian winter
A close-up of the left-hand-side of the image: The high-resolution picture is extremely detailed, and can be downloaded from the link at the bottom of the article

20-point-turn: The Rover betrays its prowess (or lack of) at driving as it surveys its own tracks

FROM THE HILLS TO THE VALLEYS: WHAT THIS IMAGE TELLS US ABOUT MARS

This full-circle scene combines 817 images taken by the panoramic camera (Pancam) on NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity. It shows the terrain that surrounded the rover while it was stationary for four months of work during its most recent Martian winter.
Opportunity's Pancam took the component images between the 2,811th Martian day, or sol, of the rover's Mars surface mission (Dec. 21, 2011) and Sol 2,947 (May 8, 2012).
Opportunity spent those months on a northward sloped outcrop, 'Greeley Haven,' which angled the rover's solar panels toward the sun low in the northern sky during southern hemisphere winter.
The outcrop's informal name is a tribute to Ronald Greeley (1939-2011), who was a member of the mission team and who taught generations of planetary scientists at Arizona State University, Tempe. The site is near the northern tip of the 'Cape York' segment of the western rim of Endeavour Crater.
North is at the center of the image. South is at both ends. On the far left at the horizon is 'Rich Morris Hill.' That outcrop on Cape York was informally named in memory of John R. 'Rich' Morris (1973-2011), an aerospace engineer and musician who was a Mars rover team member and mission manager at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena.
Bright wind-blown deposits on the left are banked up against the Greeley Haven outcrop. Opportunity's tracks can be seen extending from the south, with a turn-in-place and other maneuvers evident from activities to position the rover at Greeley Haven. The tracks in some locations have exposed darker underlying soils by disturbing a thin, bright dust cover.
Other bright, dusty deposits can be seen to the north, northeast, and east of Greeley Haven. The deposit at the center of the image, due north from the rover's winter location, is a dusty patch called 'North Pole'. Opportunity drove to it and investigated it in May 2012 as an example of wind-blown Martian dust.
The interior of Endeavour Crater can been seen just below the horizon in the right half of the scene, to the northeast and east of Cape York. The crater spans 14 miles (22 kilometers) in diameter.
Opportunity's solar panels and other structures show dust that has accumulated over the lifetime of the mission. Opportunity has been working on Mars since January 2004.
During the recent four months that Opportunity worked at Greeley Haven, activities included radio-science observations to better understand Martian spin axis dynamics and thus interior structure, investigations of the composition and textures of an outcrop exposing an impact-jumbled rock formation on the crater rim, monitoring the atmosphere and surface for changes, and acquisition of this full-color mosaic of the surroundings.
The panorama combines exposures taken through Pancam filters centered on wavelengths of 753 nanometers (near infrared), 535 nanometers (green) and 432 nanometers (violet). The view is presented in false color to make some differences between materials easier to see.

Ohio Restaurant Owner dies hours after meeting Obama!

Obama seems to bring bad luck wherever he goes:
Josephine Harris on Obama's left
The owner of an Akron restaurant where President Barack Obama stopped for breakfast this morning died, apparently of a heart attack, shortly after meeting him.

Josephine “Ann” Harris, 70, of Copley Township, was taken by ambulance to Akron General Medical Center after complaining of fatigue and a tingling feeling. She was pronounced dead at 11:18 a.m., according to the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Harris, just a few hours before, had the honor of meeting — and hugging — Obama when he stopped at her family’s restaurant, Ann’s Place, on South Hawkins Avenue for breakfast. ...
Obama stopped in Ann’s Place for breakfast about 8:30 a.m. Harris was ecstatic about his visit when a Beacon Journal reporter spoke to her shortly afterward.

Prominent Democrat, Evelyn Garcia, calls Israel a "murderous state"

Evelyn Garcia

A prominent official of the Democrat party calls Israel a murderous state that must be stopped.

Evelyn Garcia, a member of the Democratic National Committee of Palm Beach County, Florida resigned on Monday after emails appeared in which she harshly criticized Israel's treatment of Palestinians.

Garcia, candidate for State House District 88, which includes parts of West Palm Beach and Riviera Beach, said she would continue campaigning for the seat. She apologized for her comments and called them "ugly" and "painful."

The emails were provided anonymously to the local leaders of the Democratic Party last week, the leaders said. In each case, the recipient's name was erased. Some of them seem to have been written for a congressional aide in South Florida.

"The continued Israeli occupation of Palestine is ugly on moral, ethical, religious and legal standpoint," Garcia said in an email on July 26 2011. "The Palestinians had nothing to do with the
Holocaust and it is time that this guilt trip is stripped from them.  I detest that U.S. taxpayer funds are being used for the continued Israeli aggression."

In that same email, Garcia accused Israel of confiscating land and building illegal settlements in the occupied territories as well as "raids that kill people, destroy civilian homes and infrastructure in all the mass prison camps and concentration camps, etc.”

In another email she said "Just as U.S. slavery has stopped so Israel must be stopped."

Scientists find G-D particle.Video

  • * Scientists 'will say they are 99.99% certain' the particle has been found
  • * Leading physicists have been invited to event - sparking speculation that Higgs boson particle has been found
  • * G-d Particle' gives particles that make up atoms their mass

The particle accelerator: It is within these tubes that physicists are hunting for the 'God' particle

Scientists at Cern will announce that the elusive Higgs boson 'God Particle' has been found at a press conference next week, it is believed.

Five leading theoretical physicists have been invited to the event on Wednesday - sparking speculation that the particle has been discovered.

Scientists at the Large Hadron Collider are expected to say they are 99.99 per cent certain it has been found - which is known as 'four sigma' level.
Peter Higgs, the Edinburgh University emeritus professor of physics that the particle is named after, is among those who have been called to the press conference in Switzerland.
Invite: Peter Higgs, the professor the particle is named after, has been asked to attend the press conference at Cern
Invite: Peter Higgs, the professor the particle is named after, has been asked to attend the press conference at Cern
The management at Cern want the two teams of scientists to reach the 'five sigma' level of certainty with their results - so they are 99.99995 per cent sure - such is the significance of the results.
Tom Kibble, 79, the emeritus professor of physics at Imperial College London, has also been invited but is unable to attend.
He told the Sunday Times: 'My guess is that is must be a pretty positive result for them to be asking us out there.'
The Higgs boson is regarded as the key to understanding the universe. Physicists say its job is to give the particles that make up atoms their mass.
Without this mass, these particles would zip though the cosmos at the speed of light, unable to bind together to form the atoms that make up everything in the universe, from planets to people.
The collider, housed in an 18-mile tunnel buried deep underground near the French-Swiss border, smashes beams of protons – sub-atomic particles – together at close to the speed of light, recreating the conditions that existed a fraction of a second after the Big Bang.
If the physicists’ theory is correct, a few Higgs bosons should be created in every trillion collisions, before rapidly decaying.

This decay would leave behind a ‘footprint’ that would show up as a bump in their graphs.
However, despite 1,600 trillion collisions being created in the tunnel - there have been fewer than 300 potential Higgs particles.
Now it is thought that two separate teams of scientists, who run independent experiments in secret from each other, have both uncovered evidence of the particle.
However, the two groups, CMS and ATLAS, are expected to stop short of confirming its existence.

1,600 year-old Ancient Synagogue Mosaic Discovered in Galilee with face of a Lady!

Yes, you heard it right ..... a picture of a lady in a Synagoge in the times of the Tanaim ..... and the Talmud states that it was in the Galilee Synagogues where most Torah Scholors were learning! Today the Yated, Mishpacha and Ami Magazines will not G-D forbid display a picture of a female!

The Israel Antiquities Authority on Monday announced that an archeological dig found a mosaic floor describing the story of biblical Samson and a Hebrew inscription from an approximately 1,600-year-old synagogue in the lower Galilee.
The dig is being led by Dr. Jodi Magness of North Carolina University in partnership with the IAA and others.
The synagogue structure and the related findings, dating back to Talmudic times between the 4th and 6th centuries CE, were found near modern day Kibbutz Hokuk, and are likely the remains of an ancient synagogue mentioned in various medieval and Talmudic sources as being in ancient Horkuk.

The ancient Hokuk is mentioned in the Jerusalem Talmud as one of a number of places where rabbis of the Talmud, both the earlier Tannaim and the later Amoraim, met to discuss and promote the writing of the Talmud.
A book by the medieval Rabbi Ashtori Ishtori from the 14th century specifically references a synagogue in the same area where the new findings were reported.
According to Dr. David Amit of the IAA, the “highlight of the discoveries in the current season is a colorful mosaic of very high quality.”
Amit added that the “mosaic contains a description of the biblical Samson and two pairs of foxes with a flaming torch connecting their tails,” as described in the deeds of Samson in the book of Judges.
The mosaic also contains an inscription in Hebrew, in a medallion decorated with smaller medallions on both sides and stunning depictions of women’s heads.
The inscription is partially damaged but appears to praise those who devote themselves to acts of kindness and good deeds, saying that they will be at peace.

Son of Nazi officer converts to Judaism! Video

Major Arthur Wollschlaeger was a tank commander in World War II. He was awarded the Iron Cross by Adolf Hitler. He had a son Bernd who was born in 1958 and was raised as a Catholic in Bamberg, Germany. "To me my father was a hero. The fact that he was a Nazi didn't mean anything to me, because I was a child."

But as Bernd got older, he asked questions about the war, but his father didn't answer his questions. "His refusal to tell me led me to explore what truly happened. I was determined to know the truth” Dr. Wollschlaeger said.
As a teenager Bernd took a trip to Israel. It was in Israel that he learned the ugly truth about the holocaust."There's no question that my initial step towards Judaism was motivated by guilt and shame. How could that happen? How could my people do that?" He turned his guilt into conviction, and ultimately action.
Seven years after his initial spiritual search, Bernd converted and became an Israeli citizen and then he joined the Israeli army.
His father a loyal Hitler follower was mad about his son’s rebelliousness and betraying the family by becoming a Jew therfore their relationship deteriorated. Dr. Wollschlaeger moved from Israel to Florida where he is a practicing doctor. He recently wrote a book called "A German Life."
"The story that I'm telling is the story how to overcome hate" he said. Dr. Wollschlaeger took his daughter to the concentration camp to teach her that a person can use their power to either do a lot of good or a lot of evil.

Two Year Old loses hand in meat grinder while preparing Shabbos food!

The hand of a 2 year old girl was grinded off after being caught in a meat grinder on Friday. She was taken by helicopter to the Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.

A police investigation suggests that the child was under the care of a neighbor at the time of the accident. The man placed the child on the kitchen counter while being busy taking care of the preparations for Shabbat.

At one point, the girl put her hand in meat grinder. She was taken immediately to a domestic HMO in Misgav, where a Magen David Adom team provided her with initial care management. "She was crying and suffering from a serious injury. We took her by helicopter to Rambam hospital," said Majdi Khiali a paramedic.

Surgeons at Rambam, said they could not save the girl's hand. "The hand was injured in the section between the wrist and the elbow, with no possibility of reconstruction. She was taken to the operating room where the wound will be closed and then be admitted to the ICU of a children's hospital," said the staff at Rambam hospital.

"This is an unfortunate event," said trauma chief Dr. Hani Bachus. "Unfortunately there is nothing to
do but close the wound and watch over the girl until she wakes up."
Police have launched an investigation and the neighbor was being questioned on suspicion of negligence.
The police arrested the neighbor after a preliminary investigation revealed that he buried the cut off hand in the courtyard of his home shortly after the accident. The neighbor explained his actions, saying that a medical officer told him that "nothing can be done with it." He will go to the Akko Magistrates Court for a hearing on remand.

Defendant swallows poison pill in court after hearing guilty verdict! Video

A former Wall Street trader convicted of setting his mansion in Phoenix Arizona on fire in a desperate maneuver to get out of his mortgage put his hands to his mouth - apparently in shock - and collapsed after the guilty verdict was read on Thursday.

He later died, but officials wonder if the hand gesture was actually a final act, planned in advance to poison himself, according to reports.
Miguel Marin, 53, had just been found guilty of arson in the Maricopa County Superior Court, a crime that could have put him in jail for almost 16 years, the news media reported.

About five minutes after learning his fate, a video showed him covering his mouth with his hands and swallowing, according to the news media.
He was also sometimes seen drinking from a bottle of sports drink.

Moments later, he turned and spoke to the people behind him and grabbed a tissue from a woman. He seemed to be crying, but his body twisted in violent convulsions.

Ten minutes later, Marin was put into an ambulance and taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to reports.

"Frum Chusid" refuses to deliver his own baby, so he hails down a Tow truck driver!

A Crazy Chusid Shotah!

Bronx New York tow truck driver gave a big boost yesterday to a twisted pair - he delivered a baby after her Orthodox Jewish husband refused to help.

Antonio Paulino, 50, was driving in East Harlem yesterday afternoon when a man marked him down.
"He said, 'My wife is giving birth,'" said Paulino. But the father-to-be is an Orthodox Jew and said his religion forbade him to touch the baby or the mother.

"I reached into the woman and took the baby out," said Paulino.
The mother and baby were then taken to the hospital.
The mother and the baby are fine.

According to Jewish law however a husband or any man is permitted to help and touch any woman during a medical emergency. The claim of the Orthodox Jewish man that he was not allowed to touch his wife or his baby is totally incorrect.

Gaza Terrorists fire 25 rockets at Sderot, Israel! Nobody cares!

Gaza-based terrorists fired 25 rockets into southern Israel on Saturday, causing damage to a school and factory. The latest attacks bring the total number of rockets and other projectiles fired from the Strip to approximately 150 over the past six days.

Israeli security chiefs held a series of emergency consultations on Saturday — including a meeting of defense chiefs with Defense Minister Ehud Barak — and decided to try to avoid a further escalation of hostilities. Amid reports from Gaza Saturday night that Hamas was now seeking a ceasefire, security sources said “quiet will be met with quiet, but further rocket fire will be met with further fire [from Israel].” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was also involved in the consultations.
The sources said Israel had no interest in a major military response to the upsurge in rocket fire, given the current sensitivities in the region including the tension surrounding Egypt’s elections, the ongoing violence in Syria and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s visit to Israel this week.
A senior IDF official also speculated that Hamas wants to stop an escalation of hostilities in Gaza. He said that the group aims to prevent the launching of long-range rockets, despite pressure from other Islamist groups in Gaza to act otherwise. He summed up the nature of the ceasefire terms as “Quiet met by quiet, and fire met by fire.”
As of Saturday night, plans were for schools in the South to open as usual Sunday, provided there was no further escalation.
The majority of the rockets launched Saturday were aimed at the southern city of Sderot, but several landed in other parts of the Eshkol, Hof Ashkelon and Shaar Hanegev Regional Councils, which border the Strip.
One of the rockets exploded in Sderot’s industrial zone, causing moderate-to-severe injuries to one man and damaging a factory.
According to Magen David Adom paramedics who arrived at the scene, the 50-year-old man was hit in the neck by shrapnel from the explosion.
Another rocket caused damage to a school in Sderot, but there were no reports of injuries. The school had been reinforced against rocket fire.
Several area residents were treated for shock.
Iron Dome shot down 10 of the incoming rockets, according to Israel Radio.
Six of the rockets landed around neighboring Netivot.
The IDF instructed local residents to remain no more than 15 seconds away from a safe, enclosed space.
IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz visited the South ahead of consultations with senior officials to discuss the military’s next steps.
Sderot mayor David Buskila convened a special meeting Saturday morning with police and Home Front Command officials. He demanded that the government restore calm to his city.
“We have known this reality for 11 years already,” Buskila said. “We demand that quiet be restored to the city. At least the relative calm, which has allowed us to do many good things.”
The mayor called on the government to act, and said that the city’s center for victims of stress and anxiety was open and had already received several residents.
During a visit to Sderot and neighboring towns surrounding the Gaza Strip on Saturday, Home Front Defense Minister Matan Vilnai said “Israel cannot remain silent following the events in the South in recent days.”
He said Israel holds Hamas fully responsible for everything happening around the Gaza Strip, and that Israel will continue to use a heavy hand against anyone who tries to escalate the situation.
In an afternoon strike, the Air Force targeted and killed a terrorist in northern Gaza near Jabaliya who was making final preparations for a rocket launch. Later, the IAF bombed a second terrorist cell en route to launching rockets outside Gaza City. Palestinian sources reported one dead, 10 injured, and damage to nearby buildings.
Hamas’s Izz al-Din al-Kassam Brigades released a statement following the airstrikes promising to escalate the violence in response to the IDF attacks.
“If the Zionist occupation didn’t understand the message of the resistance in the last week, we are ready to smash its arrogance and repress its criminality,” the statement said.
Israeli Air Force jets bombed three Hamas military bases in the Strip early Saturday morning. Palestinian sources reported that at least 20 people were injured in the airstrikes.
The IDF Spokesperson said the strikes against targets in northern and central Gaza came in response to the ongoing firing of rockets at Israel over the past several days.
Gaza health official Ashraf Al Kedra said that a boy was killed in an airstrike Saturday morning in Khan Younis, but the IDF responded unequivocally that it did not attack that part of the Strip. Palestinian rockets often misfire and explode inside Gaza.
Palestinian terrorists fired a total of six rockets at Israel on Friday, causing no damage or injuries. Twelve rockets hit Israel on Thursday, according to the spokesperson’s office.
Multiple IAF strikes carried out Friday against terrorists operating in the Strip killed two and injured at least four others.
According to Palestinian sources, the IAF targeted a motorcyclist in one of the airstrikes, who was driving northwest of Gaza City, killing him.
Earlier on Friday, a terrorist was killed and two others injured as they prepared to fire rockets into Israel near the al-Bureij refugee camp in the Strip, reported the IDF Spokesperson.
Palestinian officials in Gaza reported that the terrorist killed in the strike on al-Bureij belonged to a pro al-Qaeda, fringe Salafist Islamist group, which Israel holds responsible for a deadly cross-border attack from Egypt’s Sinai on Monday, in which an Israeli civilian was killed.
Israeli airstrikes on Gaza terrorist targets have killed at least six Palestinians since Monday.
A Hamas spokesman said on Friday that his organization would respond severely to any aggression on Israel’s part and rejected reports that a ceasefire had been reached between the sides.
On Thursday, Israeli Ambassador to the UN Ron Prosor lodged a formal complaint with the Security Council and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon regarding the recent barrage of attacks from the Strip. He called on the international community to recognize Israel’s right to self-defense.
“So long as there are no quiet towns in southern Israel, Gaza won’t be quiet either,” Prosor said. He also protested what he said was the fact that Israel’s compliance with UN demands to allow aid into Gaza is met with rocket fire.

Dan Schwartz Calls Out Journal News & Parents of East Ramapo for being Anti-Semites! Video

Notice: the captions on the video were added later probably by a Journal News reporter. The captions do not address the blatant anti-Semitic statements by the parents of East Ramapo and are either totally false at worst and misleading at best. The Board was  elected in a democratic election, by people fed up with paying the highest property taxes in the State of New York.... 4 Weberman gangsters arrested for intimidating rape victim in Williamsburg! Video

Mishkoltzer (Berger) Rabbis sons arrested for obstruction of justice

After several weeks of insisting that he will prosecute anyone who uses what he termed “mafia style intimidation” to prevent witnesses from testifying in sexual abuse cases,  Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes has made four arrests this morning in Williamsburg.
According to DNAinfo.com , several of the men offered the victim in the widely publicized Weberman abuse case $500,000 to drop all charges in the case.  Sources say that when she refused to do so, the men responded by persuading a rav hamachshir removed his hechsher from a restaurant with which she is affiliated.
The four men, three of whom are brothers, were removed from their homes in handcuffs early this morning and

are expected to be arraigned later today.
