Obama endorsed the Palestinian position on the borders of their future state, saying it should be based on Israel's lines before the 1967 Mideast war. Israel captured the West Bank, east Jerusalem and Gaza Strip in the fighting, and the Palestinians claim those areas for their state.

His position appeared to put him at odds with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who has not accepted the concept.

Reacting to Obama's speech, Benjamin Netanyahu rejected a full withdrawal from the West Bank, saying the 1967 lines were "indefensible" and would leave major Jewish settlements outside Israel. Netanyahu rejects any pullout from east Jerusalem.

Netanyahu heads to the White House on Friday and said he would seek clarifications.

Obama 'threw Israel under the bus'

Republicans looking to unseat President Barack Obama charged Thursday that he undermined the sensitive and delicate negotiations for Middle East peace with his outline for resumed talks between Israelis and Palestinians.

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney said Obama "threw Israel under the bus" and handed the Palestinians a victory even before negotiations between the parties could resume.

 Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich called it "the most dangerous speech ever made by an American president for the survival of Israel."

Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, a tea party favorite who is leaning toward a run, called the border suggestions "a shocking display of betrayal" to Israel.

"Today President Barack Obama has again indicated that his policy towards Israel is to blame Israel first," she said in a statement.

On Twitter, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin didn't directly address the speech but urged Obama to publicly welcome Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instead of ushering him into private meetings away from reporters, as has occurred on Netanyahu's previous visits. The two leaders will talk Friday at the White House.

"Dear Mr. President, please allow our ally, PM Netanyahu, to respectfully arrive through the front door this time. Thanks, Concerned Americans," she tweeted.

Mordechai Tendler Paid One of His Victims Not To Talk

In Tendler's "Affidavit in Opposition to Motion to Quash," Tendler submits on public record, Exhibit R, minutes of a KNH (Kehillat New Hempstead) meeting, that clearly indicates that he paid off one of his victims. The victim's lawyer apparently was Don Bertolini. The agreement between Tendler and the Victim was that in exchange for money, there would be a "gag order."
I wonder why?


Also in the same Exhibit, one learns that Michelle Tendler sent a book about Loshon Horah to two former supporters (who after learning about Tendler's philandering stopped supporting him). In this book is a story about a girl who spoke Loshon Horah and came down with cancer!

 Yael Tendler (the "nice one"), Yaakov Tendler's wife, once accosted a lady in Shoprite in Suffern, whose husband she mistakingly thought was blogging about Mordechai, and cursed her. In the same exhibit is a report from a neighbor of one of Tendler's victims reporting that she saw Tendler's car "frequently parked during the day at _ _ _ _ _'s house."

Thousands of Arabs From Syria, Lebanon & Gaza Marching to Israel's Boders

 Mobilized by calls on Facebook, thousands of Arab protesters marched on Israel’s borders with Syria, Lebanon and Gaza on Sunday in an unprecedented wave of demonstrations, sparking clashes that left at least 15 people dead in an annual Palestinian mourning ritual marking the anniversary of Israel’s birth.

In a surprising turn of events, hundreds of Palestinians and supporters poured across the Syrian frontier and staged riots, drawing Israeli accusations that Damascus, and its ally Iran, orchestrated the unrest to shift attention from an uprising back home. It was a rare incursion from the usually tightly controlled Syrian side and could upset the delicate balance between the two longtime foes.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who heads to Washington at the end of the week, said he ordered the military to act with “maximum restraint” but vowed a tough response to further provocations.

“Nobody should be mistaken. We are determined to defend our borders and sovereignty,” he declared in a brief address broadcast live on Israeli TV stations.

President Barack Obama’s envoy to the region, George Mitchell, resigned Friday after more than two years of fruitless efforts. The U.S. president may now have to retool the administration’s approach to peacemaking. Obama is expected to deliver a Mideast policy speech in the coming week.

Deadly clashes also took place along Israel’s nearby northern border with Lebanon, as well as in the Gaza Strip on Israel’s southern flank. The Israeli military said 13 soldiers were wounded, none seriously.

Sunday’s unrest — which came after activists used Facebook and other websites to mobilize Palestinians and their supporters in neighboring countries to march on the border with Israel — marked the first time the protests that have swept the Arab world in recent months have been directed at Israel.

Iran Executes A Jewish Woman and Her Husband, UPDATED!!!

JTA Reports that A Jewish woman and her Armenian Christian husband were executed in Iran for undisclosed reasons, a top State Department official said.

Michael Posner, the assistant secretary of state for human rights, testified Wednesday at a U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on Iran's human rights.

Posner said human rights in the Islamic Republic had deteriorated in the first part of 2011. He listed as examples mass executions; the killing of protesters in Tehran and among ethnic Arabs; harsh prison sentences for Baha'i leaders; tough prison conditions for political detainees; and that "a Jewish woman and her Armenian-Christian husband were reportedly executed based on undisclosed charges."

He did not name the couple.

WASHINGTON (JTA) – The Israeli-born Jewish woman and her Armenian Christian husband reportedly executed in Iran have been identified.

The Iranian human rights group, Human Rights Activists News Agency reported  that Adiva Mirza Soleyman Kalimia and Varjan Petrosian were hanged on March 14 at Evin Prison, a facility for political prisoners in northwest Iran. It identified Soleyman as Jewish and Petrosian as Armenian.

The agency quoted a Revolutionary Court as confirming the executions, along with those of three others who were unidentified. It said relatives of the dead who tried to recover the bodies for ritual burial were threatened with arrest.

The official cause of Soleyman Kalimia's arrest reportedly was adultery.

Soleyman Kalimia was born in Jerusalem in 1956 to an Iranian-Jewish family, according to reports. She was also a United States citizen, after residing in Miami for several years. She visited Iran three times in recent years before being arrested and put in prison.

Mordechai Tendler Getting More Bizzare and Odd!

Mordechai Tendler who issued a subpoena to Google to identify the bloggers is getting crazier by the minute.
The bloggers filed a motion to "Quash the Subpoena," so Tendler filed a "Memorandum of Law in Opposition to the Motion to Quash the Subpoena." Thats all fine and good.
But what is bizzare is that Tendler submitted exhibits to support his position that is so much more damaging to him and his reputation then any blogger ever was to him. He now put on the record information that even the bloggers didn't know.

Dee Zeitung, the yiddish newspaper spews hate against the State of Israel!

I thought I was reading the Nazi Newspaper "Der Sturmer,"but soon realized that  I was actually reading this week's issue of Dee Zeitung, the newspaper now in the news for doctoring and erasing Hillary Clinton from a White House photo.
On page 30 of this issue, the Yiddish newspaper writes and reports about the huge protest that took place in Williamsburg in the Bais Hamidrash Hagodol of Congregation Yetev Lev of Satmar on the 5th day of the Jewish month Iyur, Yom Haatzmoat (Israel's day of Independence)!
This article quoted words of venom and hate from speakers that cursed not only the State of Israel but  other "Chassidishe" Rabbis that are not on the "same page" with these Rabbis of Satmar.

I will glean and losely translate some relevant and pertinent lines from the article.

"It is already 63 years since that bitter day "Hey Iyur (5 day of the month of Iyur) when that heretic government of the Zionist nation announced their Independence, and with that proclamation claimed that it was with their own strength that this Independence came about, and thereby mocked the concept and notion  of the "Golus Yid"(the jew in exile) . By declaring a State they violated the "Three Oaths" that G-D swore upon Jews in exile. This past Sunday a packed crowd gathered in the Bais Midrash Hagodol in Williamsburg to lament and mourn that bitter disaster; the establishment of the State etc."

They then quote from Rabbi Moshe Kliars, "Chief of the Bais Din" of Tveriah. (BTW, Dee Zeitung gave him that title, my relatives who live in Tveriah, never heard of him).
This Rabbi mocks and derides other great Rabbis that don't agree with his idea.
"To those (Rabbis not from Satmar) that call the establishment of the State "Aschalta DeGeulah" (the beginning of the redemption) I say that this no beginning of redemption but it is certainly the beginning of the birth pangs of the Messiah."
"The main and real problem is actually from the orthodox camp that light the fire of heresy. Even though  the Zionist themselves cooled off from their Zionist passion, it is actually the religious circles and their leaders that continue to instigate the nations."
Rabbi Menashe derided those who patronize the Zionists, and travel to Israel when travel to Israel was never on any bodies mind."

I would like to know how many secular Jews ever became religious because of these protests?
How many secular Jews ever said .... "Oh! They are cursing the State of Israel, I will now come closer to G-D?"
Greater Rabbis than those who attended that shameful protest addressed whether the creation of the State of Israel violated the "3 Oaths" and ruled that it certainly did not (I will address that issue in an other posting). 
How about the Halacha of not speaking Loshon Horah on the State of Israel... the Original Spies during the times of Moshe Rabeinu spoke Loshon Horah about the very evil nation, the Nation of Caanan and because of that incident the Jewish people had to wander in the dessert for an additional 40 years, and we are now in exile because of that incident, and yet the Yiddish Newspapers catering to the Chassidic communities, Dee Zeitung, Der Yid and Der Blatt curse and spew hatred on a weekly basis against their own brothers and sisters, and then they wonder why the Messiah has yet to come!

Police said late on Friday that unidentified assailants had also burnt a number of houses in the village in Bauchi state, near Tafawa Balewa.

Bauchi is in Nigeria's middle belt, where the predominantly Muslim north meets the mainly Christian south.

They call this "rapper" a poet, and he has been a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago led by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright since his childhood. Following the controversy over one of Wright's sermons, Common criticized the American news media's coverage of the incident as having "an agenda."
In the sermons, Wright accused the U.S. government of racism and in the days after the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, he said "America's chickens are coming home to roost" after it dropped atomic bombs on Japan and "supported state terrorism against Palestinians and black South Africans."

Obama initially defended Wright but later cut ties with him when Wright continued to make inflammatory comments.

But Common defended Wright.

Common said during the 2008 presidential race that Wright's sermons were filled with love, not hate.

"What I picked up from the pews…was messages of love," he said. "Anything that was going on against that love he would acknowledge and expose. He's been a preacher that's helped raise one of the greatest political figures in the world, and hopefully, the next president. He's also raised one of the greatest rappers in the world."

The invitation of rapper Common to the White House this week is drawing the ire of the union representing New Jersey state police.

 Common found himself under the microscope after First Lady Michelle Obama invited him to the White House for an arts event. In question: the lyrics to "A Song for Assata," about convicted cop-killer and former Black Panther Assata Shakur.

The White House said Wednesday it stood by the decision to invite Common. Press Secretary Jay Carney said the conservative backlash distorts what Common stands for, and added that the president appreciates Common's work with children in Chicago.

FOX News and Sarah Palin condemned the decision after the Daily Caller published some of Common's lyrics, including some that criticize former President George W. Bush.

For New Jersey police, the outrage centers on "A Song for Assata" lyrics like "Your power and pride is beautiful. May God bless your soul."

A Hasidic paper in Williamsburg digitally erased Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton from the instantly iconic photo of the White House Situation Room as President Obama and his staff watched the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound.

The paper, Der Zeitung, also removed Director for Counterterrorism Audrey Tomason from the photo in its Friday edition. The Jerusalem Post speculated that Der Zeitung didn't want to show women in authority positions. It also noted that the White House banned news organizations from having the pictures "manipulated."

Bin Laden hunched, seated on the floor, watching television wrapped in a wool blanket and wearing a knit cap

For years, the world only saw the 54-year-old Osama bin Laden in the rare propaganda videos that trickled out, the ones portraying him as a charismatic religious figure unfazed by being the target of a worldwide manhunt.
On Saturday, the U.S. released a handful of videos, selected to show bin Laden in a much more candid, unflattering light. In the short clips, bin Laden appears hunched and tired, seated on the floor, watching television wrapped in a wool blanket and wearing a knit cap. Outtakes of his propaganda tapes show that they were heavily scripted affairs. He dyed and trimmed his beard for the cameras, then shot and reshot his remarks until the timing and lighting were just right.
The videos were among the evidence seized by Navy SEALs after a pre-dawn raid Monday that killed bin Laden in his walled Pakistani compound. The movies, along with computer disks, thumb drives and handwritten notes, reveal that bin Laden was still actively involved in planning and directing al-Qaida’s plots against the U.S., according to a senior U.S. intelligence official who briefed reporters Saturday and insisted his name not be used.
“The material found in the compound only further confirms how important it was to go after Bin Laden,” said CIA director Leon Panetta in a statement Saturday. “Since 9/11, this is what the American people have expected of us. In this critical operation, we delivered.”
The notes and computer material showed that bin Laden’s compound was a command-and-control center for al-Qaida, where the terrorist mastermind stayed in contact with al-Qaida affiliates around the world through a network of couriers, the intelligence official said. Bin Laden was eager to strike American cities again and discussed ways to attack trains, officials said, though it appeared that plan never progressed beyond early discussions.

But by selecting unflattering clips of bin Laden, the U.S. is also working to shatter the image he worked so hard to craft.

“It showed that bin Laden was not the superhero he wanted his people to think,” said Rep. Peter King, R-N.Y., the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.

One video clearly shows the terror leader choosing and changing channels with a remote control, which he points at what appears to be a satellite cable box. U.S. officials have previously said there was a satellite dish for television reception but no Internet or phone lines ran to the house. Cellphones were prohibited on the compound.

White House Revises Bin Laden's Final Moments

Who knows whats true anymore, but the White House is now telling a different story in reference to Bin Ladin's final moments. This is the 3rd version.

Killing Osama bin Laden was a big victory for the U.S., but how exactly the raid went down is another story — and another, and another.

Over two days, the White House has offered contradictory versions of events, including misidentifying which of bin Laden’s sons was killed and wrongly saying bin Laden’s wife died in gunfire, as it tries to sort through what the president’s press secretary called the “fog of combat” and produce an accurate account.

Reading from a script carefully crafted by the Defense Department,White House Press Secretary Carney clarified that bin Laden was not armed with a gun when he was killed, contrary to some reports that he fired back at U.S. military operatives. In addition, White House counterinsurgency adviser John Brennan was wrong when he suggested Monday that one of bin Laden’s wives was killed serving as a human shield for bin Laden during gunfire.

“In the room with bin Laden, a woman -- bin Laden’s wife -- rushed the U.S. assaulter and was shot in the leg but not killed. Bin Laden was then shot and killed. He was not armed,” Carney said. Separately, another woman on the first floor was killed in crossfire, which may have led to Brennan's misstatement.

The White House spokesman wouldn’t say whether bin Laden had any kind of weapon when he was killed or what kind of resistance he put up. Carney said only, “There was concern that bin Laden would oppose the capture operation and indeed he resisted.”

Carney also retraced the steps by which bin Laden’s body was buried in the North Arabian Sea. The body was washed, placed in a white sheet and in a weighted bag, at which point a military officer “read prepared religious remarks” that were translated into Arabic by a native speaker. The body was then “placed on a prepared flat board, tipped up, and the deceased body eased into the sea,” he said.

The White House is still mulling whether to release a picture of bin Laden killed. While releasing such a photo would confirm once and for all to naysayers that bin Laden is dead, "It's fair to say it's a gruesome photograph," Carney said.
