Sfardie "gadol" destroys smartphone in a ceremony.... Chareidim slowly becoming "Cults"
Satmar Chassidim Reading Der Yid Will Never Know that the USA is Going Back to the Iran Deal that could G-d Forbid Destroy the Jewish State
This latest news was on the front pages of every single newspaper sharing headlines with the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
But the Satmar "oilim goilim" that get their news from Der Yid will never know about the eminent danger that their brothers and sisters living in Israel are facing.
Instead, Der Yid has a byline on their first page of a protest against the "Misrad Hashichon" the Office of Housing, because they are excavating land in the Gilo section of Yerushalyim, that the Gaavad of the Eida Hachreidis said is an ancient graveyard of Jews. The Gaavad is none other than the aged R' Tuvia Weiss. We will never know if the Gaavad even knows about this or if he is in the frame of mind to issue Halachic decisions of this nature. The Raavad of the Eida is R' Moshe Shternbach, also an extremist but he had examined the site and ruled that there is no problem excavating the site.
In Beit Shemesh we had a similar fight amongst the leaders of the Eida Ha'Chreidis, where R' Weiss ruled that a site where a developer built a Chareidie community is a former gravesite, and R' Shternbach who actually examined the site ruled that there wasn't any Jewish bones buried there, and the developer built his development.
Back to Der Yid
Why wouldn't Der Yid report the Iran story?
Because Satmar supports the Iran Deal! Yes, let me repeat : The Satmar Rebbe is all for the Iran Deal that would allow Iran to continue their murderous quest of obtaining Nuclear arms. We wrote about this numerous times; you can do a search on this blog.
They would rather write about some idiotic irrelevant protest and place it on their front page than write about something that can very well effect every single Jew!
Last week we all heard the Baal Korah read how the "Eirav Rav" fashioned and then worshipped a golden calf. I guess Moshe didn't kill them off, they are still around!
The Jews of Uman aren't leaving
Despite the threat of Russian strikes in Ukraine's interior, the Jews of Uman are not planning to leave.
The local boys' school, under the auspices of Uman's rabbi, Rabbi Yaakov Jann, is holding regular classes; meanwhile, constant prayers are being offered at the gravesite of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, situated in Uman.
Already a week and a half ago, Rabbi Jann called on local Jews to leave Ukraine if they were able to do so.
"Answering this question of all questions at the current time - that of whether to leave or remain - is not simple," Rabbi Jann wrote then. "What is clear, however, is that we must neither panic nor remain complacent.
"After consulting with Torah leaders and experts in the situation," Rabbi Jann continued, "I am recommending that all tourists must leave Ukraine by Wednesday [over a week ago]. Those who live here with their families should also leave if they are able to do so with ease, until the crisis passes."
Rabbi Jann concluded his letter with reassurance that no one would be left without necessary assistance. A week later, most of Uman's Jews have opted to remain.
'Unorthodox' spending Julia Haart sued for millions, allegedly used company as 'personal piggy bank'
“My Unorthodox Life” star Julia Haart is being sued for allegedly spending unauthorized millions of dollars of company cash by her estranged husband Silvio Scaglia.
Haart, 51, who was ousted as CEO of Elite World Group earlier this month, is alleged to have spent $125,000 on “cosmetic procedures” —including a boob job, as Page Six reported — according to court papers.
The filing, seen by Page Six, also claims that Haart used the company set up to run her clothing line, E1972, as her “personal piggy bank.”
It alleges that she spent approximately $500,000 at Louis Vuitton, $180,000 at Chanel, $140,000 at Dior and more than $500,000 on lavish trips for herself and her family, plus more than $160,000 on makeup and hair-styling services.
The suit alleges that Haart overspent on the budget allocated to her for personal expenses, claiming: “In addition to exceeding E1972’s budget by millions of dollars due to her personal spending habits, Haart also freely used two EWG corporate credit cards to purchase expensive clothing and handbags, luxury vacations, and other personal and unnecessary purchases.”

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH: Two Top Prosecutors Resign from Manhattan DA’s Trump Probe
In a sign of growing frustration within the Manhattan DA’s office over the insistence that prosecutors find something to charge Donald Trump with, two top prosecutors have resigned, throwing the entire case into doubt.
Mark Pomerantz and Carey Dunne resigned together, but the DA’s office declined to comment on their departures.
The DA’s office launched a probe into the Trump Organization’s business practices in 2018 under then-District Attorney Cy Vance, and the investigation has continued under DA Alvin Bragg.
Dunne, a nearly 40-year veteran of the DA’s office, oversaw the investigation from the very beginning, and Pomerantz was asked by Vance to join the probe late last year, the NY Post reported.
Without Dunne and Pomerantz leading the investigation, it is no longer clear that Trump himself will be charged with anything.
Trump lawyer Ron Fischetti told the NY Post that he is “happy” they resigned, saying that without them there is “no investigation.”

J Street Convinces Congressman to Turn Against the Jewish State
This development reveals a great deal about the reasons for the ongoing tension between American Jewish critics of Israel and the rest of the Jewish community.
The congressman in question is Rep. Jamaal Bowman, a first-term Democrat who represents a district that covers part of New York City (the north Bronx) and much of Westchester County. Bowman has a substantial number of Jewish constituents, which probably explains why, in the past, he has not been as harsh towards Israel as some of his ideological bedfellows.
The Tide Turns: More Jewish than Arab Births in Israel
For the first time since the establishment of the Jewish State, the fertility rate of Arab women has fallen below that of Jewish women. At the establishment of the state, in 1948, a Muslim woman gave birth on average to 9 children, and today she gives birth to fewer than 3, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.
Israel’s total fertility rate (average number of children per woman) in 2020 was 2.90. This figure is low compared to 3.01 in 2019 and 3.09 in 2018, but still far higher than all the OECD countries whose average in 2019 was 1.61 children per woman.
The total fertility rate of Jewish women and others in Israel is estimated at 2.88 children per woman, compared to Arab women at 2.82.
Bloomberg to Dems: You’re Going to Be Wiped Out
Former NYC mayor and 2020 presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg warned Democrats that they are heading for a bloodbath in the midterm elections later this year if they don’t fix things now.
“Without changing course, the party is headed for a November wipeout,” the former mayor wrote in an op-ed.
“Three months after Republicans scored major election upsets in Virginia and New Jersey, largely because of the frustration parents felt with Democratic officials who catered to teachers’ unions and culture warriors at the expense of children, voters in San Francisco recalled three school board members by margins of nearly three to one,” Bloomberg wrote. “Coming from America’s most liberal city, those results should translate into a 7 to 8 on the Richter scale, because the three main factors that drove the recall are not unique to the Bay Area.”
“Swing voters will decide the 2022 midterm elections, and right now, polls show they are swinging away from Democrats. The earthquake that shook San Francisco needs to shake up our party, before voters do it themselves in November,” Bloomberg said.
A poll released Tuesday by Emerson University found that Republicans currently lead Democrats by 9 percentage points – 50% to 41% – on a generic congressional ballot heading into November’s midterms.
Chareidie Cleaning Lady Needed Extra Cash so She sued Sara Netanyahu but the Court won't have any of that and throws out her case
A labor court rejected on Wednesday the claim of abuse by a woman who worked as a cleaner for Sara Netanyahu at the Prime Minister’s Residence.
The Jerusalem District Labor Court ruled that Shira Raban’s version of events was unreliable, and she had failed to prove there was abusive behavior on Netanyahu’s part when she worked as a cleaner for the wife of then-prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The court also said that Raban’s claim that the alleged abuse went on for a prolonged period could not be proven due to the fact that Raban only worked at the residence for a short period of time, and the defense provided evidence that she and Sara Netanyahu were never alone on the same floor.
Despite the dismissal of the lawsuit, the court decided that in view of the plaintiff’s financial situation, she would not be compelled to pay the legal expenses.
In their verdict, the judges wrote that while the legal defense of working conditions should be maintained, it was not without limit.
“Although the growth of this cause should be welcomed, given the significance it has for preserving the rights of workers and formulating a proper standard for a respectful work environment and proper working conditions, it is worth remembering that this cause is not unlimited,” the verdict read.
Responding to the ruling, Netanyahu said that she had paid an “unbearable” price over four years of legal wrangling.
“After countless news shows and newspapers led to four years of blood libels, today the court threw out Shira Raban’s claims on all levels,” the statement read. “The price paid by Sara Netanyahu is unbearable. Who will give her back her good name and who will apologize for the malicious slander that was presented to the public as absolute truth?”
In a Facebook post, her husband, Benjamin Netanyahu, called the ruling “the end of another shameful chapter in the false smear campaign against Sara Netanyahu.”
Sara Netanyahu was sued by Raban, who worked as a cleaner at the Netanyahus’ official residence in Jerusalem for a month in 2017 — a total of 20 working days.
Raban alleged that the then-prime minister’s wife insulted her relentlessly throughout her short tenure. She filed her lawsuit shortly after leaving her position, claiming NIS 225,000 ($69,000) in damages.
Raban claimed she was forced to endure unacceptable conditions by Netanyahu while working on the second floor of the residence.
Some of the former employee’s complaints included not being allowed to take leave when one of her children was sick, and being forced to use the bathroom outside the main building. She also claimed that the prime minister’s oldest son, Yair Netanyahu, would conduct cleanliness inspections.
Netanyahu allegedly forbade Raban to eat, drink, or rest, and she was required to change her clothes dozens of times a day. She was also required to wash her hands about 100 times a day with hot water, and was expected to dry them with a towel separate from the one used by the Netanyahu family, the lawsuit charged.
