New York Times Reports Trump Wanted to Attack Iran’s Main Nuclear Base Last Thursday

Well.. too bad.. because that was a lost opportunity ... now Israel will have to deal with it ...

According to a Monday report by the NY Times, President Trump last Thursday inquired about his options for action against Iran’s main nuclear site in Natanz (Trump Sought Options for Attacking Iran to Stop Its Growing Nuclear Program). The conversation in the Oval Office with the president’s senior advisors followed the International Atomic Energy Agency’s Wednesday’s report that Iran had increased its uranium stockpile to 12 times the amount it was permitted under the 2015 nuclear agreement.

The IAEA also reported that Iran was not permitting it access to a second site where the agency suspected there was more increased nuclear activity.

In Thursday’s meeting, all of the people in the room – Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Acting Secretary of Defense Christopher Miller, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley – were against the idea, fearing that a US attack would escalate into an open-ended war.

Last week, President Trump carried out sweeping changes in the Department of Defense, staring with the firing of Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and followed by the removal of several of the department’s most senior officials, replacing them with the president’s staunch loyalists. The unprecedented flurry of changes just weeks before the end of the president’s term in office filled Pentagon officials with a growing sense of alarm about the president’s plans.

Someone in the defense apparatus decided to leak to the New York Times the possibility that Trump wanted to hit Iran’s major nuclear plant.

According to the Times’ report, Pompeo and General Milley warned the president about the risks of military escalation, and the senior officials left the meeting expecting that a US attack inside Iran was not going to take place.

The IAEA reported that Iran has stockpiled more than 2,442 kilograms of low-enriched uranium, enough to produce two nuclear weapons – after several months of processing to enrich the uranium to bomb-grade level. Although it is a breach of the nuclear agreement, it is still far less than the amount Iran possessed before the July 2015 deal, which was more than 11,000 kg.

In A World Gone Mad .. Joe Biden Names Transgender Military Veteran to Review Department of Defense

Here is a guy who thinks its Purim all year round and is being  placed in a very important position  as an "agency reviewer for the Department of Defense"

Crazy and the world accepts this now as "normal."

A former official from the Barack Obama administration, Shawn Skelly, has joined former Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential transition team as an agency reviewer for the Department of Defense.

Skelly, who is a man living as a woman, was appointed to the Obama administration in 2013 as a special assistant to the under secretary of defense for acquisition, technology, and logistics and coordinator of the Department of Defense Warfighter Senior Integration Group. Skelly also was director of the Office of the Executive Secretariat at the Department of Transportation during the Obama administration.

The Washington Blade reported on Skelly’s appointment and Biden’s agenda of including LGBT officials in his administration:

“LGBTQ advocates are pressing Biden to reverse Trump’s ban on transgender military service in short order upon taking office as litigation against the policy continues in federal courts,” the Blade reported. “According to a memo from the San Francisco-based Palm Center, Biden could lift the ban against transgender service members in as little as 30 days.”

The great kosher meat war of 1902 is the wildest protest you’ve never heard of

Crowds gather in front of a butcher shop in the early 1900s.

The organizers expected just 50 people. But on May 15, 1902, nearly 500 women packed into the meeting hall at 88 Monroe St. on the Lower East Side, with more gathered outside.

“New York never saw such a huge gathering of Jewish women,” one of the local newspapers proclaimed.

And the women were angry. The ladies took turns addressing the crowd, but it was Fanny Levy, a 35-year-old mother of six, who had the line of the evening. Lamenting the lack of results that efforts from others had brought, Levy exhorted the crowd, “This is their strike? Let the women make a strike; then there will be a strike!”

For an early example of activism and the power of women in New York City, look no further than the kosher meat strike of 1902 — a mostly forgotten incident that tore the Lower East Side apart. “This is an early example of consumer activism,” says Scott D. Seligman, author of the new book, “The Great Kosher Meat War of 1902: Immigrant Housewives and the Riots That Shook New York City” (Potomac Books).

The trouble began when the price of kosher beef shot up some 50 percent in just a few months.

“At 18 cents a pound — $5.25 in today’s dollars — kosher beef was now beyond the reach of families that had to pinch pennies to make ends meet,” the author writes.

New York Sheriffs Won’t Enforce Cuomo’s Thanksgiving limit

Three more upstate New York sheriffs have announced their refusal to enforce the state’s private gathering limit on Thanksgiving.

In a scathing Facebook post on Saturday, Fulton County Sheriff Richard Giardino questioned the legality of Gov. Cuomo’s newly instituted 10-person cap on parties and other gatherings in private residences.

“Frankly, I am not sure it could sustain a Constitutional challenge in Court for several reasons including your house is your castle,” the sheriff wrote in the Saturday post.

“And as a Sheriff with a law degree I couldn’t in good faith attempt to defend it Court, so I won’t,” he said.

Giardino noted his office, with limited resources, has scant legal options to enter private homes other than search warrants, invitations or under an “emergency circumstance.”

“We have limited resources and we have to set priorities, so obtaining a Search Warrant to enter your home to see how many Turkey or Tofu eaters are present is not a priority,” Giardino wrote.

Washington County Sheriff Jeff Murphy said there will be no Thanksgiving enforcement, and on Monday Saratoga County Michael Zurlo also threw cold water on the state order.

“I can’t see how devoting our resources to counting cars in citizens’ driveways or investigating how much turkey and dressing they’ve purchased is for the public good,” Zurlo said in a press release.

Last Friday, two days after Cuomo announced the new restrictions, Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard said his office would ignore the indoor gathering limit.

“Politicians acting like politicians and ignoring what the actual experts say has been fueling the spread of this virus is what plunged this country in this continued public health crisis in the first place,” senior Cuomo adviser Richard Azzopardi said in response to the announcements.

“We urge everyone to continue to be smart and act responsibly. We know this makes people unhappy, but better unhappy then sick or worse.”

BBC traces ‘unimaginable trauma’ of Holocaust inherited by children of survivors

Without knowing the brutal history of this place, the sprawling mound rising from the earth just outside the town of Voranova, in Belarus, could easily be overlooked.

But for those who are all too aware, such as attorney Robert Rinder, who hosts the reality TV series “Judge Rinder,” it represents “the most articulate expression of human evil.”

For it was here that Rinder’s paternal grandfather’s family, having been deported from their homes in Lithuania, were forcibly marched by Nazi officers, told to lie down and murdered with machine guns.

Remarkably, Rinder finds an elderly eyewitness to the horrific scenes that took place 80 years ago. It is just one of the many poignant scenes featuring in his new two-part series, “My Family, The Holocaust And Me,” whose first part aired on BBC One on November 9, coinciding with the anniversary of Kristallnacht. The second installment airs November 16 at 9 p.m and is also available to watch alongside the first episode on BBC iPlayer.

Israelis Chase EU envoy from site of planned East Jerusalem project

Demonstrators chased the European Union’s top representative to the Palestinians away from the East Jerusalem site of a planned new housing project, calling him an anti-Semite and a supporter of terrorism.

Sven Kühn von Burgsdorff later said that while he did not feel threatened, he regretted that he had been unable to conduct a constructive dialogue with the protesters.

He had planned to lead a delegation of diplomats from 13 EU member states to protest Israel’s plan to expand Givat Hamatos, a neighborhood where Israeli authorities on Sunday opened bidding on the construction of new homes.

Many in the international community have condemned the plan, saying new building in the sensitive location would harm the prospects of a future contiguous Palestinian state.

Von Burgsdorff and the other European diplomats, including representatives from Germany, France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and other countries, were greeted by about a dozen activists from the right-wing Im Tirzu movement as they arrived in the area.

They shouted slogans such as “EU, shame on you,” and “Go back to Europe,” and accused the European officials of supporting terrorism. Several activists repeatedly called the European diplomats “anti-Semites.”

THE SATMAR CAMPAIGN TO DISCREDIT RABBI MOSHE FEINSTEIN

I'm old enough to remember these incidents very well described in the video below...

I also knew Rabbi Schwartz and I once davened in his shtibel in Flatbush ...he barely had a minyan and the minyan that he did have were his children ..

But "Satmar Violence" didn't start and end with R' Moshe ... it was against the Kloizenberger, R' Hershele Spinker, Chabad etc..

and guess what the common denominator was between Satmar's victims.. R' Moshe, Kloizrnberger, R' Helshele and the Rebbe of Chabad?

They were all huge.... huge Talmeidei Chachamim... let that sink in ..

Caroline Glick: Media that ignore violence are animals

A video of a young couple in Washington DC who were followed by a crowd of Black Life Matters and Antifa protestors is circulating the web these days. The couple, who can be identified as Trump supporters by their shirts, were attacked by the mob and an unidentified liquid was thrown on them.

Columnist and author Caroline Glick shared the video on Twitter and defined the protesters as "Animals".

But Glick added a harsh criticism following the media coverage of the recent violent incidents. "And you media disgraces", Glick wrote, "CNN, NBC News, CBS, ABC, New York Times and Washington Post who refuse to cover this violence, you are animals too".
