In a statement, Yosef said the rioters had desecrated the name of Heaven and that their conduct did not reflect Torah values. “The ways of the Torah of Israel are ways of pleasantness and all its paths are peace; there is no place for such behavior among us,” he said, urging that those involved be denounced and cast out from the community.

Empty words. Has he called upon those with videos of the incident, showing the faces of the attackers, to turn them over to police?
Yes, these protests just emphasize the sickening hypocrisy. We can't fight! We're Bnei Torah! We learn! We can't fight and you can't expect us to leave the yeshiva!
And here they are in streets fighting after leaving the yeshiva.
Of course this hurts their anti-draft efforts.
He is looking for some of his followers to become martyrs for his cause. I am not saying that we should accommodate him, but I do note the risk to him that a Tzahalnik (or worse yet, a Tzahalnitza) might become a martyr for the cause of universal conscription/national service.
