The picture of them sitting together is in the yichud room (after the yichud time ended) where the chasan and kallah wash and eat together. Then the chasan walks his kallah to the women's section and then he goes on to the men's section. I'm not Satmar and have no idea how it's done today in KJ, but this is common practice among many chasidim to this day.

If they could figure out a way to exclude the kallah and all the female relatives from attending the wedding, they would.
