Reb Noach Klein Killed by a Van in Boro Park

An elderly Orthodox Jewish man was killed Tuesday evening after being struck by a vehicle on 18th Avenue, between 48th and 49th Streets. The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. as he was heading to daven Mincha. Hatzalah responded promptly, rushing the man to Maimonides Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The NYPD arrested the driver at the scene, who was reportedly driving with a suspended license.

The victim has been identified as Reb Noach Klein A”h, 84, a longtime pillar of the Borough Park community. He operated Unique Sterling for nearly five decades, first opening on 13th Avenue in 1975 before moving to 18th Avenue. Known for his knowledge of antique silver and dedication to his craft, Reb Noach was also celebrated for his warmth, humor, and mentorship to younger generations.by Van in Boro-Park
