Skver Using Nazi Tactics to Keep Jews Out!

 Is this real life?

Can it possibly be true that here in Rockland County — a place renowned for its vibrant Torah life, chessed, and flourishing kehillos — there is a calculated effort underway to dismantle entire frum neighborhoods?

It sounds like the plot of a dystopian novel. But it’s not fiction. It’s reality. And it’s unfolding right here, right now.

Since 2017, leadership in New Square — yes, leadership — has reportedly orchestrated a targeted campaign to purchase hundreds of homes in nearby Jewish neighborhoods. Not to expand or strengthen communities, but, tragically, to choke off housing access for other frum families.

Over 350 homes have already been bought. And here’s the truly shocking part: according to numerous firsthand accounts and public records, these homes are not being rented to Jewish families. Instead, many have been illegally subdivided and filled with multiple unrelated tenants — often in unsafe, unsanitary, and unlawful conditions.

What we’re seeing is bribery. Coercion. Inflated offers used to strong-arm homeowners into selling. A blatant disregard for both halacha and civil law.

And the consequences? Violence. DUIs. Vandalism. Even reports of stabbings and shootings on once-quiet blocks. What should have been affordable housing for growing frum families has turned into something unrecognizable. And all of it is being done in the name of Heaven?

How can we stay silent?

How can we pretend this isn’t a chillul Hashem of the gravest kind — harming Jews and non-Jews alike, breaking down trust between neighbors, and eroding the sanctity of our own kehillos?

And here’s what makes it even more painful: it’s not a secret. The leadership doesn’t deny it. The mayor of New Square openly admits it. The addresses are known. The paper trail is public.

So we must ask, especially now: Is this the spirit we bring into the Nine Days — a time meant for introspection, for healing broken relationships, for mourning the destruction brought on by sinas chinam and internal strife?

Chazal tell us the second Beis HaMikdash was destroyed because of baseless hatred between Jews.

And now, in 2025, we are witnessing an organized campaign to displace fellow Torah Jews from their homes?

Are we really repeating the same mistakes?

For years, askanim, rabbanim, and community leaders tried everything — meetings, appeals, legal channels. And still, New Square doubled down.

In response, Ichud Kehillos of Rockland was formed — a united coalition of Torah-guided communities that say: Enough.

We will not allow our children to be pushed out.
We will not stand by while our neighborhoods are taken from us.
We will not let darkness parade as light.

This is not about politics. This is about principle. About truth. About standing up for the very soul of our communities.

And so we ask — with heartbreak, with trembling, with clarity:

Can this really be happening?

And if it is… how can we possibly remain silent?

This could all stop in 1 second. All you need is for the Ayatollah Twerski to come out against it. But being the dictator that he is, it will never happen. Worshipping him is no different than worshipping avoda zara.
