As I keep saying that when it comes to Chareidim's own interests, they abandon the RBS"O and reach out to Goyim! They don't believe that "Torah Protects" at all! Turning to non-Jews for an intra-Jewish matter – that worked out just great for Hyrkanos and Aristoblus, didn’t it?
"Hishtadlus" ??????
The biggest "Hishtadlus" is to put on a uniform and help your own brothers and sisters!! לא תעמוד על דם רעך is a "lav" in the Torah!
Recent confidential meetings took place in Bnei Brak between a representative of U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and senior haredi rabbis, addressing the growing controversy over Israel’s military draft law and the arrests of yeshiva students.
The discussions were held at the homes of Rabbis Dov Lando and Moshe Hillel Hirsch, leaders of Degel HaTorah, and focused on exploring possible American diplomatic involvement. Haredi leaders cited previous U.S. intervention in conscription issues in Ukraine as a potential precedent.
Meanwhile, Rabbi Lando made a rare visit to Beit Lid Military Prison to support Refael and Baruch Itzhakov, two Tel Aviv yeshiva students detained for refusing to report for military service. Associates say the rabbi is deeply troubled by the arrests and has been unable to sleep over the situation.
These details were reported by i24NEWS on Thursday.

Extremely sadly today’s Dayonim/Rabbonim do not follow 1) לא תעמוד על דם רעך is a "lav" in the Torah! 2) Beis tzedodim before ruling 3) creating machloikes amongst families and others, due to not following Choishen mishpot
@DIN Your so corrupt. No matter what the charaidim do you would curse them out and put them down. You need serious help for your "chareidi trauma". Go get help. Stop polluting the world with your horrible and extremely negative energy. Even a 2 year old can easily understand why the great chareidi rabbis are doing everything they can to protect the bnei Torah. It's obvious. And they're right. @din go get help!
I don't understand. Didn't Rabban Yochanan ben Zakai negotiate with the arch enemy of the Jews, the Roman Emperor, pleading with him to spare the sages of Yavneh? And therefore, should not the Rabbi's position to not resist Roman authority, be considered a betrayal of the Jewish People who fought bravely against Roman tyranny?
Although, in its discussion of the event, the Talmud deliberates as to whether Rabbi Yochanan 's plan was ill conceived, nonetheless, no one accuses the great Rabbi of disloyalty to the Jewish nation. Indeed, it may be because of his intervention you, DIN, today speaks Hebrew instead of Italian.
Outside of Eretz Yisroel, the future for Jews as a nation is in the hands of the Charedi element. In the 1950's it was thought that Orthodox Judaism will be extinct by the 21st century, and only Conservative and Reform Judaism will survive. Today, we realize the opposite is true. Who are prominent non- Orthodox Jewish personalities? George Soros, Adam Schiff, Bernie Sanders, Gerry Nadler, and yes, yellow bellied Chuck Schumer.
In Israel, without the Charedim, the State will lose its Jewish character within fifty years. The non- Charedim will support the destruction of the Jewish State as we see the Supreme Court of Israel is attempting to do. I would like to further comment, but the blog is limiting me in length.
I may very well be corrupt, but that doesn't mean what I wrote isn't 100% true! You scribble that "what the charaidim do you would curse them out and put them down." Wow! What A lie!
The rabbis are going to goyim because they really don't believe in the power of prayer! If they did then why would they schlep outside goyim for an Israeli internal issue?
"They are doing everything they can to protect the bnei Torah?"
Why don't they believe in davening?? Why is their Torah learning not protecting them?
Because they don't really believe it themselves, they want the regular "Joe Shmo" to daven but they themselves want to reach out to Chutz Le'aaretz Goyim! . Which this article points out!
Cyrano
There is an explicit issur D'orissaah of לא תחניפו
which goes on pandering to Goyim!
Our bloody history has shown time and again that pandering and compromising with our goyishe enemies is an exercise in futility!
I see that when you say "Chareidim" you are not including Dati Leumi, who serve in the IDF and learn Torah and their Yiddishket is not at all compromised! When they finish their service to the Jewish nation they become productive adults and are not a burden to their families and the State, whereas the data according to the Hebrew Yated itself shows that Charedie Cities like Betar Elite and Bnei-Brak are riddled with outright poverty, and are not at all sustainable!
Their youth are going off the derech in the tens of thousands, and this segment is also in poverty as they have no education! Dati Leumi Parties will have more seats in the knesset in the next Election than all Charedie parties combined! Chardeim with their disconnected leaders, are causing sinas chinum with their insistence that "no one goes to the army even if they are not learning! "
As far as Chutz Le'arrets is concerned, New Square and Kiryas Yoel have the highest poverty rate in the United States! They are all on public assistance, and this is not sustainable as the goyim are catching on to their perfidy!
The Five Towns and Teaneck and many other US communities where Jews are frum and not Charedie are a Kiddush Hashem,
As far as what Rabban Yochanan ben Zakai did, I'll leave that up to the rabbis to decide, and most of them, looking back in retrospect, say that he should have chosen to keep the Bais Hamikdash! and BTW way I not only speak Yiddish, English and Hebrew but I can converse in Italian as well!
Your statement that:
"In Israel, without the Charedim, the State will lose its Jewish character within fifty years"
is laughable!
The Satmar Rebbe said in 1956 and then repeated that prediction in 1976 that "there won't be any Charedie institutions in 20 years" This was actually recorded on tape, which can be heard by anyone understanding Yiddish!
Of course looking back this is not only ludicrous but outright insanity!
Israel is the home of the majority of the Jewish people, thanks to the Zionists, and they get credit for establishing a State that has the most Torah learned ever, so the notion that Zionists are destroying Torah is an outright lie!
We are talking about a small window of eligible Bochrum from 18- 24 !
They should join a Hesder type of Yeshiva and learn and serve!
Everyone in Israel learns and shuls are packed with people of all ages learning all day and most of the night! Not one person would say that the Zionists are destroying Torah, this lying statement is only from a handful of extreme disconnected rabbis who have learned from Hamas how to spread propaganda!
To talk to Rubio a goy to pressure the State of Israel is perfidy on the highest level, history will not forgive them! Shame on them!
Cyrano
Your entire premise is an outrageous lie on so many levels!
The word "Chareidim" did not exist until 30 years ago. 3/4 of the entire Jewish people were destroyed in 1945. There was only a handful of Litvishe people as over 90% were murdered.
In fact most Litvishe people joined the Haskala preWW2.
It was the FRUM people not "Chareidim" that rebuilt Yiddishkeit. When I say "FRUM" I mean "heimishe people who never even heard of a "kollel"
The only "kolell" was Lakewood and it had about 40 bochrim at its peak.
Frum people worked for a living and they rebuilt both Eretz Yisrael and Chutz Le'arretz!
It was actually the Chassidim who should get credit, they worked during the day and learned at night.
It was R' Schnuer Kotler who in the 70's set up kollelim throughout the USA a concept unheard of in the frum communities. It was the hard-working Frummies that supported kollim, but it was not meant be out of control like today.
In the USA yeshiva boys were exempt from the draft when the US was fighting a war 6,000 miles away, it was not a fight for US survival like Israel is fighting now. It was an unpopular war even amongst the goyim. It was during that time that Yeshivos flourished as no one wanted to get drafted, but again it wasn't a war for survival.
Frum people started to have large families and when they finished Highschool they either went to collage or went 2 years of Bais Medrish ,got married and got a job! The woman stayed home and that's who rebuilt yiddishkeit!
In Israel, it was different, because Israel was constantly at war, except for very few, everyone joined the IDF, my family, that is GER fought in all the wars, and no one went off the derech!
Things changed after OSLO, that what you call Chareidim supported OSLO supported giving in to the Arabs and giving back land which was a disaster and now Israel had to fight the intifada and needed more soldiers.
Rav Schach in those days issued a ruling that only those who learned in earnest would get a "petur"; everyone else had to enlist! This was later supported by Rav Shteinman !
This Charedie mantra that Zionist are destroying Torah by drafting eligible boys is an outrageous lie, "Lehepach" Zionists contribute and have contributed to Torah institutions granting millions of shekels.
The Torah leaders painted themselves into a corner with their false accusations and they will lose this! It is not sustainable anymore and Israel a tiny country that is fighting for its very survival, needs manpower and everyone has to share in this burden!
To sum this all up, it was the Frum people who worked and whose wives stayed home that built Yiddishkeit, Cjarediem are destrying it, by not enlisting and not working!
Cyrano stop repeating BS, no one here in Israel believes this garbage
Shany
You need to be barefoot and pregnant, stay off the internet! This is all above your head and you are clueless to what is going on, you are only repeating what you heard from other yentas.
Brisker, before learning kol hatorah kulah in Brisk, did you first learn to speak with menchlichkeit? You nullify your entire arguement with your degrading comment.
@Shany
DIN is doing Klall Yisrael a service, he is a voice of reason, saying what we are all thinking. The notion that "Zionists are destroying Torah" is a lie, as more Torah is being learned in Eretz Yisrael since the establishment of the State than at any time in Jewish History. Stop parroting the idiots.
@Shany
The first thing I learned is נשים דעתן קלות
Go back to the kitchen and prepare a nice lunch for your husband that sits on his fat ass instead of providing for his family.
How much daas does it take for one to understand whom he is responding to? I'm not Shani. The error here is that you should have started learning with derech eretz kadma latorah. Even if one's arguement is correct, he nullifies it and strengthens his opponent by not speaking like a mench. Your mysogyny makes your whole point irrelevant.
The foul mouth is a “Brisker” like DIN is an NKnik
