Goldknopf Threatens Ultra-Orthodox Exodus Over Israel’s Military Draft Dispute

And where, pray tell, is a better place for frum Yidden? In Europe, with the rampant anti-semitism? In the UK, where the Dept of Education is trying to force their curricula on the private schools? Even the Goldene Medina, where BH, Yidden have freedom and equal rights, the anti-semitism is still strongly felt. And there is inrterference in our chinuch as well as many nisyonos.

EY is a place that is blessed and it’s a mitzva to live there, even when it’s golus. There is no learning that equals Toras Eretz Yisroel. Its a hollow threat!

Israel’s United Torah Judaism leader, Ytzhak Goldknopf, sparked political uproar on Thursday after warning that the ultra-Orthodox community might consider leaving Israel if the government begins arresting yeshiva students who refuse military service. His remarks came after several Haredi draft evaders were recently detained, intensifying the already heated debate over conscription exemptions.

In an interview with the religious newspaper Makor Rishon, Goldknopf declared, “If there is no choice and the ultra-Orthodox have to leave the country, then they will leave the country. The ultra-Orthodox will not change their way of life because there is an army and a war. If the army is short 50,000 soldiers, go take the draft dodgers from Tel Aviv and Gush Dan.”

Imagine you're at a family party. Your obnoxious uncle who always has to be the centre of attention starts making a fuss because some of the appetizers aren't to his liking and if he doesn't get the snack he wants, he'll leave.
And everyone around the room, stick of his attitude, stare at him and silent think "Okay, bye."

I don't think anyone can deny that it is easier to live a Chariedi lifestyle in a place like Lakewood or Kiryas Yoel than Israel. No one is asking anyone to go the army there, the government gives a lot more in social assistance to those who want to learn and not work, For those who do want to work the government recognizes Yeshiva degrees as bachelors and masters degrees in unspecialized areas like humanities. etc. You may not like it and I know most people reading do not approve of the Charidei lifestyle but don't pretend that such a lifestyle is so easy in Israel and difficult elsewhere. It isn't.

Like President Trump’s incentive of giving illegal migrants $1000.00 if they self deport, a similar formula should be created for the benefit of chareidi parasites. Once the chareidi freeloaders are gone, Israel should message that the country is open to those immigrants who want to fully partake in the economic prosperity and military defense of the country. They can even learn all the Torah they want on the side.

I haven't read so much out-and-out crap like this one in a very long time.
It's "easier to live a Chariedi lifestyle in a place like Lakewood or Kiryas Yoel than Israel."
Did you write that with a straight face?
I have family in Lakewood and in Kiryas Yoel, and for business and other reasons, they have to leave the community and travel among Goyim and they are very uncomfortable, you cannot just stay in Lakewood and Monroe 24/7 !
In Israel you can wear your tzizis outside anywhere in the country, you can daven Mincha on the side of the road, a common site!
I can give you a thousand examples why your statement is a vile lie!

You scribble that " No one is asking anyone to go the army there"
what utter nonsense?
First of all the USA, except for 911 was never attacked!! Israel is fighting for its survival, and every single Jew should see it as a privilege to serve in a Jewish army to protect their own families! You sound so detached and uncaring for other Jews who don't live in Fakwood and Kiryas Uganda!
לא תעמוד על דם רעך
Moshe says in this week's parsha
?אחיכם יבוא למלחמה ואתם ישבו פה
You scribble " the government gives a lot more in social assistance."
The government will impose their agenda in Yeshivas because they TAKE federal funds, how long do you think that will go on!
We just finished the saga of the Meraglim and I see you would have made a perfect Merageil!
ובני קרח לא מתו
Take take tale take take
Trump is in office, this crap is ending very soon!

Heretics who boil over with that much hatred of Charedim deserve to be sucked dry if there is in fact any parasite feeding off you

Kaki seems to have a life!
The one who "hates Chareidim" is YOU!
You are the one who called the Zakan Hador Rav Shmuel Kaminetzki, who needs rachmim, "old Sam." You are the one who called Rav Belski .."Evil"
As I said before, Charedim hate each other's guts, and you are a prime example, and so you want others to love them?
