A senior U.S. official revealed that the Trump administration is weighing the possibility of recognizing Israeli sovereignty over Judea and Samaria.
Additionally, officials are not dismissing the potential application of the “Gaza Plan” in the area.
Discussions include proposals for a collaborative American-Israeli initiative in parts of the region, alongside efforts to encourage Palestinian relocation to Sinai and Jordan.

Not a good idea.
Right now, military occupation allows the ongoing double-standard. Jews living there are Israeli citizens with full rights. Arabs living there are foreigners and therefore not entitled to the benefits of Israeli citizenship.
Annexation changes that. Now those Arabs will either have to be granted Israeli citizens, which will make them 40% of the population of the country, or they will continue to be considered non-nationals and it becomes actual apartheid.
No need to give them voting rights - the main arab cities can also be self administered
