Unbelivable: Hamas Had Intelligence Command Center Right Beneath the UNRWA Headquarters In Gaza and the UN Provided the Electricity

The IDF has for some time claimed that UNRWA, the United Nations agency that is officially designated to provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza, has served as a front for Hamas terrorist activity. During the past few weeks, the IDF has been operating in the Shati and Tel al-Hawa neighborhoods in northern Gaza, eliminating 120 Hamas terrorists and destroying 20 terrorist sites.

During the course of the operation, IDF forces reached a tunnel shaft situated under the main UNRWA headquarters in the Gaza strip, and uncovered a remarkable infrastructure and a computer hub that served as the central headquarters of Hamas’s intelligence. Wires that had hastily been cut showed that Hamas’s underground command center was connected to the building above- ostensibly a center of humanitarian aid, and that UNRWA had been providing it with electricity.

The tunnel was 700 meters long and 18 meters deep and contained several blast doors. A wide variety of intelligence assets were seized during the operation, enabling the forces to operate against additional Hamas targets. The dismantling of the tunnel will significantly weaken Hamas’ intelligence capabilities.

Following these findings and based on preliminary Shin Bet intelligence, the forces conducted a targeted raid on UNRWA’s central headquarters, which contains offices for various humanitarian and international organizations.

Large quantities of weapons were found inside the rooms of the building, including rifles, ammunition, grenades, and explosives. Intelligence and documents discovered in the offices of UNRWA officials confirmed that the offices had in fact also been used by Hamas terrorists.

In the wake of the new revelations, Israeli foreign minister Yisrael Katz called Saturday night for the head of UNRWA to quit immediately.

Israel Katz dismissed UNRWA commissioner-general Philippe Lazzarini’s claim that he was unaware of the tunnel’s presence as “not only absurd but also an affront to common sense”.

“His prompt resignation is imperative,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
