Satmar Kicks Willie Handler To The Curb!

Recently, hundreds of anti-vaxxers gathered at an event in Monsey. Lacking any legitimate Rabbonim to address the gathering, the audience was privileged to hear from a dishonest conspiracy-theorist claiming to be a Rabbi.

Willie "the Liar" Handler used to be the Satmar Spokesman and he was the one who supported Yisroel Weingarten, who was convicted for raping his own daughter.

Willie, was the one who called Rabbonim who disagreed with him "lightweights" and now the very ones who had him be their spokesman, threw him under the bus........

But since Handler was the “Rabbi” at this event, the NY Times made sure to quote himin their coverage of this event. Disgustingly, Handler used inflammatory words about elected officials – such as describing NYC Mayor DeBlasio as a “sneaky fellow” and a closet German – “Wilhelm, his real name, was named after Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany.”

(In fact, none of this is true. Mr. de Blasio was born Warren Wilhelm Jr., and later decided to take his mother’s last name as his own after becoming alienated from his father.)

Khal Yetev Lev D’Satmar, the main Satmar congregation located in Williamsburg, issued a declaration – published in today’s issue of Der Yid – condemning in the strongest possible terms the inflammatory, misguided and wrong rhetoric by Rabbi Hillel Handler at the anti-vax symposium. The congregation further declared that the Rebbe has ordered everyone to vaccinate.

This declaration, published in this week’s Der Yid, is an unprecedented rebuke of the anti-vax movement, coming from the largest Chasidic community and publicizing the Grand Rebbe’s directive to vaccinate. It’s also very significant, since some reports depicted Handler as being affiliated with Satmar. In fact, he has no role in the Satmar community.

Condemnation and Clarification

Regarding the reports that many people gathered to speak in the name of the New York Haredi communities against the laws and government directives regarding health, and especially regarding vaccines to save our kids that the measles the disease shouldn’t spread – Go-d forbid – and we were shocked by the words at this gathering to attack our city government and shaming and fighting words against the mayor of our great city New York full of lies and falsehoods, and they also cause a chilul hashem (defamation of G-d’s name) and his Torah in the eyes of the nations,

Therefore, we are condemning in the strongest terms, and we are announcing that these words are against our position, and it doesn’t represent us in any way or form. To the Contrary, we are obligated to follow the words of the prophet that you should ask for the wellbeing of the city and you shall pray for it, as our holy Rebbe OBM constantly guided us.

And to the core of the matter, it’s widely known that our holy mosdos (school system), following the directives of the Rebbe Shlit”a, issued strong instructions that parents must have their children vaccinated in accordance with the city government’s orders and in accordance with the advice of doctors and experts in these matters. The great Beth Din of Yerushalayim Edah HaCharedit also issued a public directive that everyone must – because of the Mitzva of Vnismartem M’eod L’nafshoseichem (the Torah commandment to protect yourself) – to listen to the advice of doctors in order that the measles and other illnesses shouldn’t spread, Go-d forbid. The administration of our schools are standing guard that children that do not have the MMR vaccine should not be in our schools now in accordance with the law and the government advisories.

We are signing with anguish regarding the words that were said and the resulting chilul hashem.

The Warsaw Ghetto was the largest of its kind in Europe - but the story of its inhabitants has always been told using Nazi footage, until now. 

Never-before-seen footage shot by amateur Polish filmmaker Alfons Ziolkowski in 1941 shows what life was like for Jews inside the ghetto - from children smuggling food, to a dying man on the sidewalk, to Nazi guards dishing out beatings.

The 10-minute film is the only known footage of the ghetto that was not recorded by Nazis, and provides an invaluable historical record of the Jewish experience there.

The black-and-white footage of the Jewish quarter is included in a new hour-long film 'Warsaw: A City Divided' by Polish-Canadian director Eric Bednarski.

Mr Bednarski said: 'The film footage many of us have seen from the Warsaw Ghetto was shot in 1942 by a Nazi German propaganda film crew. 

'Their work has been used in literally dozens of documentaries about the Holocaust and the Second World War. 

'It was shot from the perspective of occupiers and perpetrators, and was used for anti-Semitic propaganda purposes. 

The footage that appears in my documentary was shot by a Pole, with a completely different perspective.

Scores of police in Jerusalem backed up by officers on horseback trying to break up an ultra-Orthodox street protest Saturday got some help from an unexpected quarter — women who took their tops off, driving away the protesters, who are religiously forbidden from looking at them.

Hundreds of ultra-Orthodox men and boys clashed with police Saturday afternoon, blocking traffic and attacking officers during a protest against Shabbat transgression by workers preparing the Eurovision Song Contest final in Tel Aviv on the Jewish day of rest.

As protesters blocked roads beside an ultra-Orthodox area in the center of the city, at least four women stripped down to their bras, forcing the protesters to leave the area due to the prohibition against looking at women in dress deemed immodest.

Although the broadcast of the Eurovision finale started after the Sabbath,  rehearsals and production preparations took place earlier in the day. The issuing of work permits for the event led an ultra-Orthodox political party to temporarily suspend coalition negotiations and sparked the Saturday protest in the capital.

Ultra-Orthodox Jews strictly respect religious law prohibiting work on Shabbat, the weekly day of rest, from sundown Friday until nightfall Saturday.

Ahead of the Eurovision final, one of Israel’s chief rabbis called for those who keep Shabbat to extend their observance of the holy day by 20 minutes in response to the “great desecration.”

Some ultra-Orthodox Jews object to photos of women, even when clothed, in public places or media on grounds of modesty. For decades there have been repeated incidents of posters featuring women defaced in the capital and other cities.

On Tuesday afternoon, Charedi journalist Yair Sharki publicized a dramatic turn of events in the Chareidi Litvish world. 

According to Sharki, a new Chareidi newspaper is set to be published by the name HaDegel. The paper will be published under the auspices of Hagaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky and will take the place of Yated Ne’eman. The first edition is set to be released around Shavuos.

Sharki took to Twitter to explain just how groundbreaking such a move is.

“In order to explain just how dramatic opening a new newspaper is in the Charedi community: 

When Rav Shach separated from Agudas Yisroel and built Degel Hatorah, the first thing he did was open the newspaper Yated Neeman.  When Rav Shmuel Auerbach left Degel Hatorah and opened up the Peleg Yerushalmi the first thing he did was open the newspaper Hapeles. This is the first condition of political independence.”

Sharki then answered a question that was asked on the above hypothesis. 

“This time, Rav Kanievsky isn’t leaving anything and is pretty much the mainstream. However, the decision to open a new newspaper instead of attempting to reign in Yated Neeman (as Maran Hagaon HaRav Shteinman did in his day) points to the internal power struggles and the internal opposition present, which is very strong, and left him with no other choice.”

Over the past few years, letters have been sent back and forth between the main power of ownership of Yated Neeman, U.S. businessman Shimon Glick and HaRav Kanievsky, each one pointing towards the difference of opinions between the two with regards to how the paper should be run. 

In light of that, and Yated Ne’eman perhaps losing their religious supervision, the new newspaper was born. The birth pangs of the new paper is a reflection of the infighting between the media moguls of Yated Ne’eman and the leaders of the Degel Hatorah movement. With this new beginning, a strong statement of disavowment is being made by Rav Kanievsky and his leadership towards Yated Ne’eman.

Reform Jews Invite Al Sharpton, inciter of the Violent Murderous Pogrom Against Jews in Crown Heights ....

The disgraceful decision by the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism to have Al Sharpton speak this morning at a plenary session of its conference in Washington, D.C., (titled “Consultation on Conscience”) sends a very dangerous and intolerable message to the anti-Semites among us.

Anti-Semitism is on the rise, not just in the form of shouts or graffiti but also the murder of Jews. It is thus incomprehensible how the Religious Action Center could have ever made this decision.

The advertising material promoting this event describes Sharpton as “founder and President of the National Action Network … a not-for-profit civil rights organization that was formed in 1991 … one of the nation’s most renowned civil rights leaders."

We remember Al Sharpton for what he did in 1991. It was in August of that year that he led violent, murderous anti-Semitic rioters on a pogrom in Crown Heights. They terrorized that Jewish community for nearly four days, during which 183 people were injured and the innocent visiting Australian University academic Yankel Rosenbaum — brother to one of us — was murdered in cold blood amid cries of “Kill the Jew! Kill the Jew!”

The Confusion of the Satmar Lag Be'Omer Bon-Fire" in Monroe!!

Before R' Aron Teitelbaum became Monroe Satmar Rebbe, he was the Rosh Yeshivah of Satmar Yeshivah in Monroe.

At the time, there were no "Hadlakas" Bon-Fires in Satmar on Lag Be'Omer because they didn't have that "mesorah."

Satmar boys, like all boys, need entertainment, so they ran to other Rebbes to witness and to celebrate Lag Be'omer, celebrations that had huge "hadlakas," some ran to Chabad where Lag Be'Omer is a huge day and some even ran to Meron in Israel. 

This did not fair well with the Rosh Yeshivah, because he was frightened that the boys would find other Chassidic sects desirable, and would leave Satmar altogether.

So one year the then Rosh Yeshivah, R' Aron Teitelbaum, decided to gather all the boys a couple of weeks prior to Lag Be'Omer for an "asifah" to warn and threaten any boy that went to any Lag Be'omer celebrations with expulsion ... כדרכו בקודש!

His reasoning at the "asifah" was two-fold ....

Number one, this wasn't a "mesorah" in Satmar.....

and number two .... Lag Ba'omer is not a "Chutz Le'aaretz Yom Tov;" its an exclusive "Israeli Yom Tov" because  Eretz Yisroel does not  have two days of Yom Tov,  he reasoned, .... the gedoilim of Eretz Yisroel must have found it proper to make an additional Yom Tov called "Lag Be'Omer!"

A Buba Mieseh!

When he became Rebbe ... he changed his tune.....

  His gaboim, in a panic, were telling him that the majority of his chassidim are leaving Monroe on Lag Be'Omer to celebrate ...... yes..... the New Israeli Holiday!

Instead of making an "asifah" to explain the new Satmar minhag of making a huge Bon-Fire on Lag Be'Omer, which everyone would understand, he remained quiet, hoping that no one would remember that he barked against this not too long ago!

His brother, R' Zalman Leib, Satmar Rebbe of Williamsburg doesn't practice this new Satmar custom and does not make an hadlaka ...

I guess he isn't frightened that his chasidim after having celebrated an hadlaka with some other rebbeleh would leave him!

Why Did Ami Magazine Interview Ehud Olmert an Ex-Con?

Last week, Ami Magazine, touted an "Exclusive" interview that it did with the Former Israeli Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, the irrelevant ex-con, that served 16 months in prison for fraud and bribery.

Why would a Jewish magazine that caters to the Chareidie market do an interview with a corrupt guy who was hated by the Israeli public?

In May 2007, while PM, Olmert only had an approval rating of 3% ... the lowest of any elected official in the history of the State.

So why take "valuable" space in a "Torah" magazine that constantly boasts the backing of "Daas Torah," and subject its readers to this meaningless interview of an ex-con who is bitter about his life?

I have my reasons ... but first let's read excerpts of some of the questions and answers that I gleaned from the interview!

AMI:
Do you miss politics? 

Olmert:
"That's not my concern, as a private citizen I will continue to raise my voice about issues that concern me,...... Netanyahu's conduct and the direction in which he is leading the country definitely bother me ....
The PM is being investigated for lots of things... There are multiple indictments hanging over his head.... 
etc etc ..

DIN: 
Did you just burst out in laughter? 
Here is a guy that was convicted of accepting 560,000 Shekels while serving as mayor of Yerushalyim...and other crimes that I won't get into...
and he sits there like a Tzaddik and states with a straight face that Netanyahu is "being investigated for a lot of things"

But I have to say that Ami did see the "irony" and follows up on it ....

AMI:
Don't you see the irony of a prime minister who was convicted of corruption attacking a sitting prime minister accused of the same charges?

Olmert:
bla bla bla and then says:
"Although the charges were leveled against me while I was prime minister, I was never accused of doing anything wrong while in office. The investigations were about my activities before I was elected. Netanyahu is accused of misconduct while serving as prime minister"

Here AMI doesn't follow up on this gigantic outrageous lie...

Yes ... it's true that he wasn't charged about any activities while PM but he was charged while being in every other political office he held......
the office of mayor ...the office of finance, the office of Minister of Trade, Industry and Labor. 

Olmert justifies his theft and corruption because he didn't do it while PM ... 

But let's see who Olmert really is ....

In a number of interviews with the international media while PM, Olmert introduced his "Realignment Plan" which basically meant that Israel would withdraw from most if not all of the West Bank...
In it he advocated for a Palestinian State and wanted to "share" Jerusalem with the Palestinians.

He was all for evacuating Kush Katif and for totally leaving Gaza ,,,which as we all know was and is a total disaster.
and tells Ami ... that
"Yes, there are still rockets coming from Gaza but there are much fewer casualties even with the recent escalation...."
He doesn't mention that over 800 rockets in a 24 hour period landed in Israel just a week before the interview and that over a million Israelis ... women and children had to make it to a shelter within 45 seconds.

Olmert when asked about Trump's moving the embassy to Jerusalem sounds like a dumb Satmerer stating:

"How has this made a difference to the status of Jerusalem or our standing in the world"

Ami doesn't challenge him on this outrageous remark and doesn't tell him that this was a very important move in light of the fact that the UN passed a resolution, that the Jews have no historic claim to Jerusalem!

Olmert like the naive Satmarers, makes light of the fact that Trump cancelled the nuclear arms agreement with Iran, stating:

"And what of it? In my opinion, Iran isn't an existential problem with the State of Israel"

In addition, Olmert makes nothing of the fact that Trump brought about American recognition of Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights, stating:

"With all due respect, I don't see these as achievements. President Trump's recognition of the annexation of the Golan Heights doesn't change their status or our situation"

Olmert, the thief, blabbers on and on ...

So what possessed  Frankfurter to see fit to print 10 pages to this crazed and incoherent interview?

I have the answer..... here goes...
Olmert's view of Israel is the same view as the "clown"  Frankfurter!
To give back parts of the Holy Land to the Arab murderers....
Not to recognize Yerushalayim as the Capital of Israel!
Not to recognize Israel's annexation of the Golan Heights,
and to keep the Iran nuclear deal! The SHIT'ah of the Satmar gypsies! 
But Frankfurter cannot say it himself so he chose the stooge of Israel to say it for him ....

To justify this useless interview, and to make this lying thief somewhat credible, The Clown Frankfurter,  makes a bold attempt to link Olmert, the guy who is "mechalleil Shabbos be'faresyeh" and who eats chazir, ..........with Chareidim .....

Since the Frank really is on the same page as the thief Olmert, he has to now make Olmert into a "Gedoilim Lover!"

Talking about Olmert's election as mayor of Yerushalyim ... Frankfurter writes:

"He won the election with the encouragement of the chareidim and with the encouragement of Rav Elyashiv, he was elected to a second term. Since the he has maintained a warm relationship with gedolei Yisrael and the chareidi community"

Now ....Frankfurter always the deceiver and sneak, doesn't write that when "the thief" was PM, Rav Eliyashiv joined Gedoilei Yisroel in a "battle" against Olmert who was for the "Ramon Plan" of dividing Yerusahalyim! 

Concluding this stupid interview, Ami asks "the thief" if he "knew Admorim of Gur" "Rav Ovadia Yosef" as if he is now a guy who hangs around Gedoilim .... and one that recognizes the gadlis of "gedoilim."

So this "clown" Frankfurter, Editor of Ami, to justify his heretical and irrelevant views on Israel  drags the name of Gedoilim thru the sewer and embarrass them by linking their holy names with this piece of manure!

The "Aronim" War In Bnei Brak Heats Up As R' Aron Teitelbaum Orders The Expulsion of Three Children From Yeshivah .....

There is a "Milchamas Mitzvah" ... a war going on in Bnei Brak .....amongst Satmar Chassidim... not between the Zalonim and the Aronim but amongst the Aronim themselves....
I wish them both hatzlacha!

This is not the place or time to go into details, I just want to focus on a different issue ...
the expulsion from Yeshivah of innocent children!

The Head of the Aroinie Satmar Yeshivah in Bnei Brak is Reb Aron Teitelbaum's nephew .. a rabbi by the name of R Chaim Tzvi Meizels, he actually founded the Yeshiva ...he is fighting with his  with a guy named R' Heshel Rotter ....whose father is also from the founders of the Yeshivah ....

It seems that one of the parents took sides and sided with the Rotter guy against R' Meizels ... (it's more complicated but for the sake of what I want to bring out... we will leave the story as is) ..... and when R' Aron Teitelbaum got wind of this he ordered the expulsion of the guys three innocent children from the yeshivah ...

R' Meizels, even though he was the one that was offended, is so far refusing the order from the King, R' Aron Teitelbaum, his uncle!

Now ...  the Gedoilim of previous generations of all different sects were of the opinion  that one doesn't mess with children....
Because if you throw out innocent children because of the sins of the parents that will inevitably cause tremendous pain for the expelled and will effect them the rest of their lives ...

I know many children that were expelled not even because of the politics of their parents but because the parents couldn't afford tuition ....
many of them went off the derech and all are somehow psychologically affected to this very day ... 
they suffered humiliation, couldn't cope, bullying etc 

Gedoilim believe that expelling an innocent child from a yeshivah is in the "geder" of לא תרצח  "thou shall not murder"

So this ... R' Aron Teitelbaum, Monroe Satmar Rebbe keeps barking like a maniac against Zionism .... but sees no problem "murdering" innocent children!

Congregation Shomrei Emunah was established in 1907. It was led from 1928 to 1935 by HaRav Wolf Gold, a founder of the Williamsburg Talmud Torah and Mesivta Torah Vodaas. 

From 1935 through 1973, Dr. Harry I. Wohlberg was the Rov.

From 1973 through 2008, the Shul was led by the Niftar, HaRav Yaakov Pollack. Since 2008, the Rov has been Harav Aviezer Cohen.

In the early years of the Shul, the Chofetz Chaim had advised Gedolim traveling to America that they should turn to Shomrei Emunah upon their arrival. 

Gedolim that spoke in the Shul include HaRav Elchonon Wasserman HY”D, HaRav Avrohom Isaac Kook ZATZAL, and HaRav Boruch Ber Leibowitz ZATZAL.

HaRav Yehuda Eber Rosenberg The Face Of Tzedakkah No Longer Among the Living

HaRav Yehuda Eber Rosenberg Z”TL, a man who devoted his entire life to Tzedakah and Chesed,passed away this morning.

Many people will recognize the face of the Niftar, as he was a fixture at Levayos and Chasunos, where he collected millions of dollars over the past 50 years for various Aniyim, as well as the Vishnitzer Mosdos.

The Levaya will be held at 2:00PM in front of the Vishnitzer Bais Medrash in Williamsburg, located at 6 Lee Avenue. The Levaya will continue in Monsey at the Viznitz shul on Phyllis Terrace at 3:30PM, and will continue from there to the Vishnitz Bais Hakvaros on Route 306.
