Update on Judge who lashed his teenage daughter with a belt

William Adams, 51, issued a three-page statement Thursday saying his daughter posted the clip to get back at him for telling her he would be reducing the amount of financial support he gives her and taking away her Mercedes. The statement did not include an apology for the beating, but he told Corpus Christi television station KZTV on Wednesday that the video “looks worse than it is,” that he had already apologized to his daughter and that he was just disciplining his child for stealing.
Hillary Adams says her parents were angry because she had downloaded pirated content online, and that she turned on the camera because she sensed something was going to happen.
William Adams, who presides over child abuse cases, is still being investigated by the state’s judicial conduct commission and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services, which on Thursday requested that he be removed from its cases until the investigation concludes.
Patrick Crimmins, a spokesman for the agency, declined to elaborate on the exact nature of the investigation. But he said that in general, the agency would only investigate a case in which a suspected abuse victim has already reached adulthood if there are still children in the home who could be at risk. Adams was granted joint custody of his 10-year-old daughter in his 2007 divorce.
There are no allegations of alleged abuse by Adams against his younger daughter, who primarily resides with her mother, Hallie Adams. Crimmins declined to say whether his agency is investigating the parental fitness of Hallie Adams, who lashed Hillary once during the 2004 beating.
Crimmins said his agency ordinarily wouldn’t disclose that it is investigating someone, but that it did in this case because the investigation is the reason it requested that William Adams be taken off its cases.
Jayroe said that police did not interview the younger daughter, but asked both Hallie and Hillary Adams about it and there was no indication of abuse of the younger daughter.
In his statement Thursday, Adams said he would “respond” to all investigations. As Aransas County’s top judge, he has dealt with at least 349 family law cases in the past year alone, nearly 50 of which involved state caseworkers seeking determine whether parents were fit to raise their children.
County officials confirmed that Adams will not hear cases related to Child Protective Services for at least the next two weeks. And the top administrator in Aransas County cast doubt on whether Adams could credibly return to the bench.
“I would think it would be very difficult,” said Aransas County Judge C.H. “Burt” Mills Jr. “Personally I don’t see how he can recover from this.”
If the judicial commission and police investigations don’t lead to punishment or charges, Adams could be safe on the bench until he’s up for re-election in three years.
Hillary Adams said she waited so long to expose her father because she was terrified at what might have happened had she done so while still living under his roof. She said the outpouring of support and encouragement she’s received since posting the clip is tempered by the sadness that it’s her father repeatedly lashing her with a belt and threatening to beat her “into submission.”
During an interview with her mother Thursday on NBC’s “Today” show, Hillary Adams said her father regularly beat her for a period of time. She has repeatedly said she didn’t post the clip to spite her father, and that she hopes it forces him to seek help.
Her mother blamed her ex-husband’s bouts of violence on an “addiction.” She called it a “family secret,” but declined to elaborate.
In his statement, though, William Adams painted a starkly different picture of why his daughter posted the clip.
“Just prior to the YouTube upload, a concerned father shared with his 23-year-old daughter that he was unwilling to continue to work hard and be her primary source of financial support, if she was going to simply ‘drop out,’ and strive to achieve no more in life than to work part time at a video game store,” Adams’ statement said. “Hillary warned her father if he reduced her financial support, and took away her Mercedes automobile, which her father had provided, he would live to regret it.”
Hillary Adams did not immediately respond to email requests Thursday seeking a response.

Israel Bashing New York Times Reporter Confronted at Yale

Jew Haters Arafat and Thomas Friedman
The self-loathing, Israel basher, Thomas Friedman likes to write against Israel at every single opportunity, but when confronted with opposing views becomes a coward and a slithering snake.
Read the following article in The Algemeiner and watch video.

New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman was met with open hostility as he addressed students at Yale last week. The Pulitzer Prize winning author delivered a talk entitled ‘how America fell behind’ where he discussed his new book on foreign policy, co-authored by Michael Mandelbaum.
During the talk, Rabbi Shmully Hecht of the Yale Eliezer society produced a large banner reading, “With friends like Chomsky, Soros, Mearsheimer and Thomas Friedman, does Israel need enemies?” Mr. Friedman responded curtly saying “that’s Stupid.” Shortly afterward the banner was reversed to display a second message to Mr. Friedman,”Jews don’t need solutions from your 11,000 square foot Ivory tower.”

Rabbi Hecht told the Algemeiner that he has been angered by Friedman’s positions on Israel, saying, “The road to peace may look straight from Thomas Friedman’s very privileged worldview in his mansion on his huge estate, but for Israelis everywhere, especially Judea and Samaria, every decision is one that literally tilts the State and her citizens towards either life or death. In the real world, Jews don’t need ‘solutions,’ Jews need safety and security in their historic homeland and reborn refuge.”
Michael Knowles, a history student at Yale who attended the lecture said that the atmosphere in the room was “intense,” “the cameras in the room turned towards Rabbi Hecht and the sign. Many fans of Thomas Friedman were in the audience, and they applauded when Mr. Friedman dismissed the sign,” he said.
“The way that he dismissed Rabbi Hecht was surprising, I would be interested to see him respond to the issues” he concluded.
At the time of publication, Mr. Friedman could not be reached for comment.

Maybe time for Jews to pack up and run from the USA! 35 Million Americans hate Jews!

The SS Rounding up the Hungarian Jews of Budapest, October, 1944, at the Delight of non-Jewish Civilians

Millions of Americans harbor an ugly secret — they’re suspicious of the Jews.
A nationwide survey released Thursday by the Anti-Defamation League found that 15% of the country holds deeply anti-Semitic views — and as the economy worsens that number appears to be growing.
“It is disturbing that with all of the strides we have made in becoming a more tolerant society, anti-Semitic beliefs continue to hold a vise-grip on a small but not insubstantial segment of the American public,” the ADL’s Abraham Foxman said.
Old stereotypes about Jews being pushy and controlling the economy are festering — especially among the least-educated Americans, the survey found.
Among other things:
  •  19% answered “probably true” to the statement “Jews have too much control/influence on Wall Street,” a five percentage point increase since 2009.
  •  14% agreed with the statement that "Jews have too much power in the U.S. today," an increase from 13% in 2009.
  •  15% agreed Jews are "more willing to use shady practices."
  • 16% agreed that Jewish "business people are so shrewd, others don't have a chance."

Other anti-Jewish canards continue to be believed by millions of Americans.
Some 31% believe the Jews were responsible for crucifying Christ. And 30% — a percentage that has stayed steady since 1964 — insist Jews are “more loyal to Israel than to America.”
Nearly half of all respondents agreed with the statement that Jews "stick together more than other Americans.” And a quarter of the country says Jews “still talk too much about what happened to them in the Holocaust.”
The survey found that the most-educated Americans were the least prejudiced and foreign-born Hispanics were more likely to hate Jews than U.S. born Hispanics.
Some 29% of the African-Americans surveyed expressed strong anti-Semitic views.
On the plus side, even the anti-Semites gave Jews credit for their strong faith in God (79%), being big on family (84%), and for contributing to American cultural (64%).
The telephone survey of 1,754 adults was done in October.

Judge beats his daughter with a belt after using the internet, wife then beats her with a belt

Warning: Graphic and disturbing video

This happened in 2004, his daughter who has cerebral palsy decided to release it this week

Aransas County Court-At-Law Judge William Adams took a belt to his own teenage daughter as punishment for using the Internet to acquire music and games that were unavailable for legal purchase at the time. She has had ataxic cerebral palsy from birth that led her to a passion for technology, which was strictly forbidden by her father's backwards views. The judge's wife was emotionally abused herself and was severely manipulated into assisting the beating and should not be blamed for any content in this video. The judge's wife has since left the marriage due to the abuse, which continues to this day, and has sincerely apologized and repented for her part and for allowing such a thing, long before this video was even revealed to exist. Judge William Adams is not fit to be anywhere near the law system if he can't even exercise fit judgement as a parent himself. Do not allow this man to ever be re-elected again. His "judgement" is a giant farce. Signed, Hillary Adams, his daughter.

Police Officer Durell of the 26th Precent arrested a Jewish girl, keeps her locked up for 2 days because she had no ID.

Samantha Zucker
New York Times reporter Jim Dwyer  describes Samantha Zucker's pointless arrest in poetic terms, calling it indicative of a larger cancer choking the effectiveness of the NYPD: "the staggering waste of spirit, the squandering of public resources, the follies disguised as crime-fighting."

Samantha Zucker, who is from Westchester but goes to school at Carnegie Mellon University, was visiting NYC on October 22 with a group of seniors looking for jobs in design industries when she had her fateful run-in with cops. She and friend Alex Fischer were walking in Riverside Park after its 1 a.m. closing when they were confronted by police. “We’re there five minutes when a police car came up and told us we had to leave because the park was closed,” Fischer said. “We said, ‘O.K., we didn’t know,’ and turned around to leave. Almost immediately, a second police car pulls up.”
The students were given tickets for trespassing, and the officers demanded their IDs. While Fischer was allowed to leave after showing his, Zucker had left her wallet in a hotel two blocks away. Police wouldn't allow Fischer to go get it for her, and Zucker was handcuffed and forced to spend the next 36 hours locked up shuffled between a cell in the 26th Precinct station house on West 126th Street and central booking in Lower Manhattan. It's as if she had been eating doughnuts in a playground while unaccompanied by a minor!
The arresting officer, identified as Police Officer Durrell of the 26th Precinct in court papers, also allegedly made fun of Zucker while she was being held: “He was telling me that I needed to get a new boyfriend, that I should get a guy who takes me out to dinner,” Zucker said. “He mocked me for being from Westchester.” After two nights in custody, the judge dismissed all charges in seconds.
Dwyer describes Zucker's pointless arrest in poetic terms, calling it indicative of a larger cancer choking the effectiveness of the NYPD: "the staggering waste of spirit, the squandering of public resources, the follies disguised as crime-fighting." He also connects that with the controversial stop-and-frisk policy, which accounted for more than 600K arrests last year.
According to NYPD spokesman Paul Browne, officers can allow a friend or relative to retrieve ID. Zucker isn't only upset with the arresting officer however—she also blames a culture of complacency which prevented anyone from helping her during those 36 hours: “While it may have been one out-of-control officer that began the process, no other officer had the courage to stand up against what they knew was a poor decision,” she said.

Prolonged sitting linked to cancer, Yeshivas Take Note!

More than 90,000 new cancer cases a year in the United States may be due to physical inactivity and prolonged periods of sitting, a new analysis shows.
Read from USA TODAY:
The analysis, being presented today at the annual conference of the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR) in Washington, D.C., cites about 49,000 cases of breast cancer and 43,000 of colon cancer. Alpa Patel, an American Cancer Society epidemiologist who looked at the data, says the numbers "seem like very reasonable estimates.""This gives us some idea of the cancers we could prevent by getting people to be more active," says epidemiologist Christine Friedenreich of Alberta Health Services in Calgary, Canada. Calculations are based onU.S. physical activity data and cancer incidence statistics. "This is a conservative estimate," she says. "The more physical activity you do, the lower your risk of these cancers." Experts have known for years that physical activity decreases the risk of chronic diseases including cancer, heart disease and diabetes, Friedenreich says, but the new data give estimates on the number of cases that might be prevented if people were more physically active. "A brisk daily walk of at least 30 minutes could lower a person's risk over time for breast cancer and colon cancer," says Alice Bender, a registered dietitian with AICR. Friedenreich reviewed more than 200 cancer studies worldwide and found convincing evidence that regular physical activity reduces the risk of breast cancer, colon cancer and endometrial cancer by 25% to 30%. There's some evidence that regular exercise also reduces the risk of lung, prostate and ovarian cancer, she says. Patel and others also have investigated the health dangers of sitting too long without moving around, which is called "sitting disease." In a study of 123,000 people, she found that the more time people spent sitting, the higher their risk of dying early. "Even among individuals who were regularly active, the risk of dying prematurely was higher among those who spent more time sitting," she says. Even if you are doing half an hour of aerobic activity a day, you need to make sure you don't sit the rest of the day, Patel says. "You have to get up and take breaks from sitting." Emerging research indicates that prolonged sitting also increases the risk of some types of cancer, such as colon, endometrial and ovarian cancers, Friedenreich says. James Levine, a professor of medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., says many people sit an average of seven to 9½ hours a day. "If you've sat for an hour, you've probably sat too long," he says. Friedenreich is looking into why exercise reduces cancer risk. In a study of 320 post-menopausal women, she has found that physical activity appears to decrease the risk of cancer by increasing insulin sensitivity and reducing body fat, inflammation, metabolic hormones and sex steroids hormones.

"Occupy Wall St" Causes Kosher Cafe to fire 21 Employees!

Not only don't they work, they are causing honest hard working people to lose their job.
Milk Street Cafe

Read a CBS  Report:

The Occupy Wall Street movement, which says its goals include improving the economic lot for 99 percent of Americans, may have some explaining to do to some cafe workers now out of a job.
Mark Epstein, owner of the Milk Street Cafe at 40 Wall Street, just let 21 employees go.
The reason? The barricades police have set up throughout Wall Street as a consequence of theongoing demonstration.
In June, he opened the New York branch of the Boston shop, which has a 30 year history. Epstein says he leased the space on Wall Street because it was next to a pedestrian plaza – and his was the only restaurant along that plaza.
“The opening was perfect,” Epstein told CBSNewYork.com. “The food was delicious, the customers were happy, and the line was out the door.”
Customers kept coming back, Epstein said.
“Everything was going in the right direction. Sales continued to grow. We started to build our catering business. Costs were going down. I felt that by October or November we would break even.”
Then the Occupy Wall Street movement launched.
“I came one Monday morning and I found the exit by the 2 or 3 subway station closed. I saw all these barriers – barricades – all up and down my street,” Epstein said. “At first I thought nothing of it, but after a week… it’s been six or seven weeks now.”
Six or seven weeks of marches and occasional clashes between police and protesters. So the barricades have remained in place.
“The end result of it is that it completely destroyed the pedestrian traffic on Wall Street. Completely destroyed it,” Epstein said. “It is a desolate, police-controlled area.”
The cafe has a capacity of 150 seats. At the height of lunch hour Tuesday, Epstein estimated the shop was half full. With those sorts of numbers, he’s had to let people go.
“We eliminated 21 positions in the company,” Epstein said. “First time in 30 years I’ve laid anybody off.”
They’ve also cut back their hours at the New York location, closing now at 3 p.m. instead of 9 p.m.
However, Epstein doesn’t lay all the blame at the feet of Occupy Wall Street.
“I think this is an issue of both Occupy Wall Street and the city officials. There’s protest and how you react to protest,” Epstein said. “If the barriers do not come down, I do not see how we can survive. This has got to become like America again. You have to be free to walk around.”
“Everybody should understand the consequences of their actions,” he said.
“Everybody’s empathetic and they’ll have lots to say at my eulogy,” he said. “I don’t want to be eulogized. I want the barriers down.”
Epstein says he’s brought his plight to the attention of city officials and police and has been met with empathy. But the barriers are still in place.

"Occupy" handle rapists "internally" just like Aguda!

This is the second time a lady got raped in Zuccotti Park in a week, and police were not called, they handled it internally. You may ask, "What does handling it "internally" mean?" They shined a flashlight in the rapists eyes and yelled "Pervert, Pervert, get out." You cannot make this stuff up....
Our Position here at Dus Iz Nies is: Pull the cops out, spray the place with deodorant, build a fence around them and let them fend for themselves.
Read the following article that appeared in the New York Post today.

Wall Street protesters in Zuccotti Park battened down the hatches yesterday as the early October snow turned their tents into igloos, but the close quarters also made easy pickings for one predator.
A sex fiend barged into a woman’s tent and sexually assaulted her at around 6 a.m., said protesters, who chased him from the park.
“Pervert! Pervert! Get the f--k out!” said vigilante Occupiers, who never bothered to call the cops.
She said that weeks earlier another woman was raped.
“They were shining flashlights in his face and yelling at him to leave,” said a woman who called herself Leslie, but refused to give her real name.
“We don’t tell anyone,” she said. “We handle it internally. I said too much already.”

"Williamsburg Taliban" terrorize Shaitel Salon

Lady wearing a "spitzal"
They live in Galus, but they still believe that they own the streets. A young frum lady opened a Shaitel Salon, so that the women who wear shaitels can have a place to have their Shailtels styled and combed. In Williamsburg most women shave their heads according to the Hungarian Minhagim. This Minhag is only about 200 years old, before then it was unheard of. The women after shaving their heads put on a "Spitzal" a small rag covered by a $500.00 designer scarf. The Shaitel salon has all the windows covered and the sign above the store doesn't even read Hair Salon, it reads Cleaners .....nevertheless, the "Williamsburg Taliban" doesn't want it there, afraid that their children will rebel and refuse to shave their heads and want to wear, G-D Forbid, a Shaitel!

Snake Swallows an Entire Deer

Authorities in Florida have captured and shot dead a 16-foot-long Burmese python after it swallowed an entire adult deer.

The humongous snake was discovered on Thursday by a water management company in western Miami-Dade County in the Everglades.

The slithering reptile had a giant bulge from the 76-pound female deer it had recently eaten.

Officials said it was necessary to capture the python to help stop the spread of the species further north.

The deer was found dead, but amazingly fully intact, and the python was one of the largest ever found in South Florida.

"This is clearly an extreme event," Skip Snow, a python specialist who conducted the autopsy told the South Florida Sun Sentinel. "It shows you they can eat huge things."

Chassidim and their way of life will appear on Oprah Winfrey Show

Oprah Winfrey, in New York as part of a new television series, “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” that premieres in January, visited the neighborhoods of Crown Heights, Borough Park and Brooklyn Heights for a glimpse into the daily life of Chasidic Jews and how their intense spiritual devotion informs and strengthens their dealings with the outside world.

Winfrey sat down with two families as part of her visit, enjoying a traditional meal as well. She also discussed communal affairs with five women and toured a Chabad-Lubavitch run Jewish ritual bath, known as a mikvah, in Brooklyn Heights.

A departure from the talk show format that propelled her rise to stardom, “Oprah’s Next Chapter” will air on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. According to producers, it will focus on her journeys outside the studio as she takes conversations with real people, newsmakers, celebrities and thought leaders to a new level.
