Israeli archaeologist Amir Ganor shows the mosaic floor of a Byzantine-period church, which was discovered following excavations in Hirbet Madras, near the Israeli town of Beit Shemesh, on Wednesday. Some scholars believe it may be the residence and tomb of the Prophet Zechariah. Archaeologists in Israel believe they may have stumbled upon the tomb of the biblical Prophet Zechariah in a newly discovered church. The church, which is more than 1,300 years old, contains massive marble columns as well as exquisite mosaics, the Israel Antiquities Authority said in a statement. Archaeologists believe that the church, uncovered in Hirbet Madras in central Israel, is the location marked on the Madaba Map as the tomb of Zechariah, according to Haaertz. |

Egypt Will Never Ever Be A Democracy & Did Obama Provoke the Chaos?
"Without knowledge of the likes of Locke and Burke, Hamilton and Jefferson, my country is doomed to either unbridled radicalism or continued repression ..."
Egypt Doesn't Have a Democratic Culture
By Amr Bargisi
As of this writing, the contest between President Hosni Mubarak and hundreds of thousands of protesters remains a standoff. No one can predict what Egypt will look like in a few days—let alone the next few months and years. But from my vantage point in Cairo, I believe that the result will be one of two evils.
First, the 1789 case—a win for the revolutionaries, as the massive anger that sparked the uprising is channeled into a Jacobin regime that hunts down its enemies mercilessly. It is a grave mistake to assume that the rage of the masses will be placated by the ousting of the tyrant.
Last night, one demonstrator told two friends of mine in downtown Cairo's Tahrir Square that the next step will be to knock on the doors of suburban villas and ask the owners: Where did you get the money to afford these?
The second possibility is a reactionary scenario. If the ruling elite wins—meaning Mr. Mubarak's cronies, if not Mr. Mubarak himself—the country will be ruled by a contract between the state and the frightened middle classes to make sure no similar uprising ever happens again. This is an angle that has been totally missing from Western media coverage, as far as I can tell without Internet access.
There is another force in the streets of Cairo besides the demonstrators. Equal, if not in numbers then certainly in influence, are the thousands of young men standing all night in front of their houses and stores to protect them from looting.
Perhaps they share the anger of their peers in Tahrir Square, but their fear is much stronger than their rage. On Friday night, after the police disappeared, these young men got a taste of what could come: Hundreds of thugs roamed the streets, looting and burning. Then there are the inmates, reportedly several thousand, who have fled prison and are apparently still on the loose.
I believe the reactionary scenario is more likely. But regardless of my own opinion, what is clear is that Egypt lacks the sort of political culture that can sustain a liberal democratic regime. The superficiality of the opposition's demands is matched only by the absurdity of the regime's discourse. Without knowledge of the likes of Locke and Burke, Hamilton and Jefferson, my country is doomed to either unbridled radicalism or continued repression.
Obama pals provoked Egypt chaos?
Months before protests erupted throughout Egypt aimed at toppling the regime of President Hosni Mubarak, President Obama's own associates provoked anti-regime chaos on the streets of the now embattledMiddleEast country and longtime U.S. ally.

The Yiddish Newspaper "De Zeitung" Lies About The Weingarten Case!
The Yiddish Newspaper "DEE Zeitung"
First let me translate the lying headline:
The Legal World still totally shocked from positive signs in the case of Rabbi and Gaon (torah prodigy) Rebi Yisroel Moshe Weingarten Shlitah
Now let me translate the byline:
Legal experts: This shows that the verdict was too quick, and not logical.
I would like to analyze the distortion of truth in the headline.
The lying "Zeitung" is in fact telling its naive audience that there was some positive aspect in the decision of the appeals court to throw out one of the charges and that the "legal world" was in shock because of it.
The truth is that the charge that was thrown out was the charge that Weingarten committed abuse during his travels between Belgium and Israel, and that charge was thrown out not because he didn't do it but solely because citizens cannot be found guilty in America for crimes committed oversees unless there's "territorial nexus" to the United States.
The three-judge panel upheld other convictions covering abuse that took place during travel from Brooklyn to Belgium, and from Israel to Brooklyn.
The "Legal World" was not and is not shocked by this, and this is not a positive sign because he will probably not get off any years from his sentence because of this development.
Because of space restraint I have decided to translate only some of the content of this article, but if my readers want I have no problem translating the entire article.
Translation of the first and part of the second paragraph of the article..
"The general media which follows legal happenings, and the legal journals in particular, prominently reported the break in the case of Rabbi and Gaon Rebbi Yisroel Moshe Weingarten Shlitah. The report that the New York State Appellate Court found him innocent from a third of the charges that he was found guilty years ago.
The legal media, for example the "Law Journal" reported with astonishment that the Appeals Court threw out a third of the charges, which shows that the verdict was not legally correct , and it also showed that the case had many holes and was not based on facts."
My analysis:
- The general media and the "Law Journal" didn't report this development with astonishment but reported this as it would any news that applies to the legal "world", that you cannot charge someone for crimes committed oversees unless there is "territorial nexus to the US."
- The Appellate Court didn't find him innocent of that charge, they threw it out because of a technical law issue, and not because he didn't do it..
"As was already reported, The New York State Appellate Court with a panel of three judges, Livingston, Wesley, and Cobrens, partially accepted the clear proof and the logic from the defense lawyers who submitted papers appealing the disgusting verdict, which sentenced Rebbi YM Weingarten Shlitah to 30 years in a terrible jail. The court understood that the lower court was quick to sentence him to such a stringent sentence, they therefore threw out a part of that verdict, and took off 10 years jail time and reduced a third of his sentence ."
My analysis:
It wasn't the "New York State Appellate Court," it was the United States Appellate Court based in New York State..
My analysis:
It wasn't the "New York State Appellate Court," it was the United States Appellate Court based in New York State..
- The reason the court threw out the charge was not because "they understood that the lower court was too quick to reach a verdict" but as we mentioned before, the Appellate Court ruled that the lower court had no jurisdiction to charge him with the crime of transporting his daughter from Belgium to Israel. They actually upheld the other charges!
- The court did not as of February 1, 2011 reduce his sentence....
- The Zeitung is lying when they report to their naive readers that the court already reduced the sentence.
Loose Translation of the rest of the article on the second scan above.
"Legal experts say that this proves that with a good legal defense and with the right lawyers, Rabbi Weingarten would have never received such a verdict. The whole unheard and bitter trial happened only because the defendant didn't have the right defense.. This gave way to those who want to take his life to have him incarcerated in the worst possible way.
It is now easier to find great lawyers, since we can now prove that we have a better chance and that G-D will make sure that we are successful.
It was clear for a very long time to those close to him, his children, his close students, and those advocating for the Respected Torah Scholar and Righteous One, that all the allegations are totally false and one cannot comprehend this at all. But now, we see that even by the courts it is possible to prove and to overturn this verdict.
The Appellate Court actually removed 10 years from his sentence, but it still hurts since it is like a "Torah Scroll in Pain," that such a Torah Scholar and G-D fearing person and a innocent person that was only a sacrifice to bitter factions, sits in such a bitter circumstance and the courts still didn't totally free him.
The new developments gives renewed strength, hope and spirit to the great Rabbis that are busy to redeem him "Pidyan Shevuiyim." The leader of these Rabbis is the Gaon and Righteous Rebbi Yitzchok Tuviah Weiss from Jerusalem, and the Gaon and Righteous Rabbi Moshe Green Shlitah, Rosh Yeshivah of Monsey.
Rosh Yeshivah who is in a terrible situation in a bitter jail in the far away Virginia.
In the last few days, Community Organizers and the Rabbis had meetings. The ones attending was Rabbi Gaon Rabbi Moshe Green Shlitah, and the Rabbis Goanim and Righteous Ones, Rabbi Yisroel Shorr Rosh Yeshivah Ohr Samaich, Rabbi the Goan Menachim Meir Weismandel Shlitah Chief Beis Din of Nitra, Rabbi the Gaon Rabbi Yisroel Duvid Schlesinger Shlitah, Rabbi the Gaon Rebbi Chaim Yehoshuah Halberstam, Bais Din Satmar Monsey, Rabbi Avraham Shorr Shlitah Bais Din Tiferes Yaakov, Rabbi the Gaon Rabbi Chaim Fival Schnaybalg Chief of the Bais Din Avrachim, Monsey, Rabbi the Gaon Rebbi Efraim Stein Shlitah chief Baid Din Politchin,
and more Rabbis to give advise and to start working on this case.
The Community Organizers and the Rabbis and students of the Rosh Yeshivah are working very hard, and are appealing with heart to the community at large for help. We should pray for Moshe the son of Liba, and should help with donations to pay for the huge legal costs.

My analysis:
- I found a great Irony: Rabbi Moshe Green is on the Vaad Hazniyas in Monsey, he has been seen on many occasions sitting in a van driven by Mendy Greenwald outside the 7 Eleven (a hangout) on College Road looking to see who enters the shop...and then having Mendy harrass them afterwards. He is now defending a convicted child molester!!
- Rabbi C.F. Schnaybalg is also on the Vaad... but he finds no problem defending Weingarten.
- Again, the Appellate Court did not remove 10 years from his sentence, the sentencing was sent back to the Judge and it more than likely that he will keep the 30 years.
- I would also pray for Weingarten, Yisroel Moshe ben Liba, that he comes to his senses and apologise for the hurt he caused and ask his daughter forgiveness..so they all can have closure.
- I would especially pray for his daughter Fruma Leah Bas Feigah whose youth was robbed, and her future destroyed!
- The Yiddish newspaper Dee Zeitung is deliberately misleading and lying to its readers .

Judge for yourselves if WEINGARTEN is innocent!
Weingaren cross-examining his own daughter |
First read a letter from Weingaten's daughter
An Open Letter from the Survivor of Rabbi ISRAEL WEINGARTEN
I recently heard rumors that some people are spreading in the communities that " I regret and take back the things I did in recent months about my X father"
let this be known to EVERYONE, and publish this please especially to victims and pedophiles !! The rumor is a LIE! If I could report him again, and go through this again, I would do it 100 times more and make sure he is prosecuted and sentenced to the fullest according the law. There is nothing I take back and it is the best thing I did in my life. I am proud that I had the strength to go through this.

Preface
Let me categorically state that I unconditionally love everyone in my family, regardless of their specific acts, or on which side of this disagreement they aligned themselves, for a long time I looked fondly on this quote by James Baldwin: “I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hate so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain”. In this unfortunate case, this quote fits like a glove and I know in my heart, and I believe with all my soul that some family members are petrified to deal with the real source of their pain.
Premise
Please allow me to explain my premise, that without having firsthand knowledge I certainly did not witness the litigated incestuous pedophiliac attacks. Nevertheless, without a doubt, I believe that YM molested this victim because of the incestuous pedophiliac attacks on me by YM he positively attacked me repeatedly. I am not going to argue the Halacha, nor am I putting myself forward as a Posik, or even a Ben Torah and I am not interested in Pilpul as this is not the place for Pilpul I am only paying attention to facts. Therefore, if you are going to debate my basis and attempt to crack my foundation- good luck your hardened views of YM was set in stone long before you even heard any whispers of the molestation. Moreover, if it does not matter to you, how much evidence the DA put forth during the trial, and you still cling to your assertion that you did not see any evidence, please do not expect any reply from me, it would be pointless to be nitpicking with you and seen picayune.
Now that I established my foundation, you need to understand what underpinning logic I used, in my decision to make the statement, the following principles, should help you understand why I actually traveled all the way to New York and made the statement before the court; the principles are not in any particular order.
Principles
One - the victim, who am I to deny justice for the victim? My inaction would provide the naysayers with one more attack on the victim, i.e. nobody came forward and testified that YM violated them too, furthermore, if I did not come forward, the family would construe my inaction as if I did not believe the victim I just cannot live with that burden for the rest of my life.
Two - the victim needs closure so the healing could begin, all the professionals who deal with victims of sexual molestation on a daily basis say that, to heal a victim, it is indispensable to get closure and part of closure is essentially to confront the attacker.
Three - it is not for the faint-hearted to go into Court and make a statement in front of a judge particularly, if, you have grown children who comprehend and are fully aware of the accusations and counter charges being heaped at each other. It is understood that unquestionably, this family schism is not the way you want to inspire human decency and family values into your children.
Four - in the future, what would I tell my own children or grandchildren - or even worse - on Judgment Day, what would I answer to God? Sorry, I did not sufficiently care about my own family that I deliberately decided to look the other way and just ignore what God, and I know is the truth, or even worst, God-forbid, align myself with the aggressor? Nor can I or will I shirk my parental responsibility. It is the responsibility of each parent to teach and guide his or her children how to behave and under no condition could I or should I be indifferent to my parental responsibilities.
Five - when we talk about molestation, we are talking about the deliberate destruction of the human soul for personal indulgences, and by God, let this conviction be a calling card to all the frum communities that we must stop hiding behind the curtain of religion and confront molestation, that we will not tolerate it, nor will we look the other way. Moreover, if by making a statement in court or posting this on the net, I help only one-victim to speak up or seek help they desperately need-Dayenu.
Six - what about my pain not only was I molested by YM, but the pain for each of the victims grows every day as YM’s defenders, facetiously claim that the only reason his children and I are accusing him, is, for some unexplained precarious reason. Alternatively, we just fabricated the charges because we differ with his theological interpretations and, somehow, I just want to get even with YM, it begs the question, even for what?, and why YM, why not my other brothers?, they have the same beliefs as YM, this pretext is the 21st century blood-libel, in the end of the day, YM is in this predicament only because of his own despicable actions for personal gratification.
Seven - any defender who are willing to espouse that the victims are not trustworthy in God eyes, due to religious divergences, need to look into their own heart and evaluate were he/she stands with God, and stop advancing the idea that you know what God wants and who is a good Jew, while simultaneously you turn a blind eye, while defending a child molester. It behooves us to judge Jews of any affiliation or no affiliation at all, what is in their heart, do they love another Jew, moreover do they hate another Jew so intensely, that they are willing to blatantly lie and commit perjury, (subject themselves to incarceration) and point a finger at their own family member, and accuse him with horrific crimes against minors? Defenders, you ought to learn from Daniel Pearl RIP who was not religious, how proud he was to say, “I am Jewish”, when he knew that would be his last words, what were Daniel’s last words, before Al-Qaeda butchered him? “My mother’s Jewish, my father’s Jewish, I’m Jewish”. (Copy link below and paste into your browser and hit enter) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S5NRksR1trI orhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Pearl you tell us that he did not die on Kiddush Hashem. I will state once more and for the last time, I love every Jew no matter what their affiliation is, and when I hear or read a story, which touches any Jew in a painful manner it hurts, as it would be a family member and most importantly, I never verify what their level of observance is.
Eight - any defender, no matter under what pen name you hide behind, when you write one of your brazen excuses you’re enabling another molester to continue his aggression on innocence’s. Furthermore, this minute in your community, numerous victims are watching these proceedings and wondering - if I speak up or seek help, will I be treated with the same contempt as the victim in this case? You ought to do some soul searching on what effect you have on theses broken souls, I will not evade my moral responsibility to speak up, and by this means, help other victims in need.

Below you will find my victim impact statement, which on Friday I attempted to deliver in open courtroom, before the Court, however, as the Judge explained in open court that my molestation was far removed from this case; therefore, he ruled that I could not make the statement, regardless to the judges ruling please indulge me, and allow me to enlighten you as to why I did go in front of the Court to confront Yisroel Moshe (YM) and what I would have said to the court if the Judge ruled in the prosecutions favor.

Mom Jailed for Sending Kids to Better School District
An Ohio mother's attempt to provide her daughters with a better education has landed her behind bars.
Kelley Williams-Bolar was convicted of lying about her residency to get her daughters into a better school district.
"It's overwhelming. I'm exhausted," she said. "I did this for them, so there it is. I did this for them."
Williams-Bolar decided four years ago to send her daughters to a highly ranked school in neighboring Copley-Fairlawn School District.
But it wasn't her Akron district of residence, so her children were ineligible to attend school there, even though her father lived within the district's boundaries. read on:

The Disgraced Leib Tropper Honored in Israel by the Gedolie Hador!
Leib Tropper & Shannon Orland, the lady that exposed him |
Tens of people gathered motzei Shabbos Shira in a bais medrash in the Bucharan section Jerusalem with the founder of yeshiva 'Kol Yaakov' Monsey, Rabbi Leib Tropper from New York.
Two events brought Rabbi Tropper to visit Israel: He came to visit the fresh grave of his father Rabbi Yehuda Tropper z"l who died about two months ago and upon the completion and publication of the sefer [book] of the 'Taharas Yisroel' with the added commentaries of Rabbi Tropper.
Rabbi Lipa Yisraelzon, grandson of Rav Elyashiv, affirmed before the students, as one who has accompanied Rabbi Tropper on his Israel trip, on the warm connections he has merited in the homes of Gedolei Yisroel.
So, on his trip, Rabbi Tropper came to the homes of Gedolei Yisroel. Aside from the Halachic questions that he placed before Gedolei Yisroel, he received their blessings for his holy work.
At the main lecture Rabbi Tropper conveyed, that he expanded the importance of prayer as preparation for greeting our righteous Moshiach.

Home Sweet Hell
Whether you live in a Beacon Hill condominium or a single-family out in the suburbs, you’ll probably at some point find reason to get annoyed by your neighbors. There’s nothing unique about that. But the chance of getting mired in an all-out battle is so high in a condo building with only a few units that some real estate attorneys counsel clients to avoid buying into them altogether. “My advice is don’t buy one unless you don’t have other options,” says Richard Brooks, a partner in the Braintree law firm Marcus, Errico, Emmer and Brooks, which specializes in representing condo associations. “When they don’t work they can be a real nightmare. It’s almost like being in a bad marriage – you’re stuck."

How to cope when life falls short of our expectations.
What happens when our dreams die? What happens when our husband leaves, our child fails, the economy collapses, our parents die?"
Can we mourn dreams like we mourn the death of a loved one? Can we expect Kübler-Ross' five stages of grief—denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and finally acceptance—before we begin to dream again? Or will we stop dreaming forever? Will we become hardened and say that life is unfair, death is inevitable, and dreaming is futile?

Why is Mike Savage, who has 8 Million Listeners Being Blackballed?
"Why is it that Dr. Savage seems to be so persona non grata in the controlled conservative media?
Could it be that most of those listed above are nothing but political hacks…propaganda arms of the Republican Party…and that there are those in authority who do not appreciate how Savage so willingly undresses both sides of the political charade?"

OK Guys, Lay Off! Woman Paralysed After Getting a "hickey?"
A doctor in New Zealand had to treat a woman after she was partially paralysed by a lovebite from her amorous partner.

Is Belief in Revelation Possible in the Postmodern Age?
Today we inhabit a world in which we are assaulted by mass media and connected by the Internet. In effect, virtual reality imitates reality and even supplants it at times. Whereas in the past, philosophical investigations focused on the correspondence between the world of our senses and the world as it is, today we are left wondering whether there is anything beyond our subjective sense perceptions at all.
Is there any substance behind the plethora of images that invade our consciousness and imprint themselves upon our minds?
The unique challenge that postmodernity poses to traditional faith does not concern particular articles of faith as such – the existence of G-d or the divine origin of the Torah, for example.
Postmodernism does not so much undermine what we believe as how we believe.
