DNC: Kamala Harris Lost 2024 Election Because She Didn’t Hate Israel Enough

According to a news report on Sunday, an investigation by the Democratic National Committee to discover what went wrong in the 2024 presidential election found that Kamala Harris lost because of her support for Israel and the Democratic Party policy on the Gaza war.

DNC Chairman Ken Martin ordered the investigation but said he would not publish the findings because it served no purpose.

The DNC “completed a comprehensive review of what happened in 2024,” he said in December. The organization was “putting its learnings into motion.”

“Here’s our North Star: Does this help us win?,” he added. “If the answer is no, it’s a distraction from the core mission.”

Representatives from the IMEU Policy Project, a Palestinian advocacy group, met with the DNC and told the DNC that the party lost the election because of Harris’ policy on Gaza. The DNC confirmed that its own findings matched that conclusion. IMEU accused the DNC of keeping the report secret because of its potentially explosive findings, which the DNC has denied.

Divisions over Israel policy within the Democratic Party have created tension between the far-left progressive flank of the party and the moderate Democratic wing. Harris tried to strike a balance between sympathy for the people of Gaza and support for Israel, but while she didn’t break with Biden on Israel, she took a harder stance. This may have cost her votes with swing voters and moderate Jewish Democrats who are pro-Israel. On the other hand, the progressive left that is virulently anti-Israel felt she didn’t go far enough, costing her votes with that demographic as well.

On her book tour for her memoir describing the events of her presidential campaign, Harris said that the Biden administration should have more forcefully criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and shown greater empathy for the people in Gaza.

In her book, 107 Days, Harris wrote that she believed her support for Gaza cost her votes. She said that she had urged Biden to show more sympathy for the people of Gaza and that his unpopularity, which she partly blamed on his stance on Israel, hurt her electoral prospects.

Jordan Parliament Votes To Remove “Israel” From Official Records

Great Isaiah Scroll on display in full for first time in decades

The Great Isaiah Scroll, the oldest nearly complete biblical manuscript ever discovered, is being shown in its full seven-meter length at the Israel Museum for the first time since 1968.

Dating to around 125 BCE and unearthed in the Qumran caves in 1947, the scroll contains the Book of Isaiah in a text that  closely mirrors today’s Hebrew Bible. It is now presented in a specially designed climate-controlled case, allowing visitors to view every stitched vellum sheet.

President Isaac Herzog inaugurated the exhibition, describing the artifact as a testament to Jewish continuity spanning more than two millennia. The exhibit runs through early June as part of the museum’s 60th anniversary events.

Knesset votes down Smotrich's VAT exemption order

The Knesset on Monday evening rejected an order to expand the VAT exemption on imported goods, a measure promoted by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich. 25 MKs supported the proposal, while 50 opposed it.

Minister Amichai Eliyahu and MK Limor Son Har-Melech of Otzma Yehudit voted against the measure. The following Likud MKs opposed the proposal: Yuli Edelstein, David Bitan, Eli Dallal, Sasson Guetta, Shalom Danino, Hanoch Milwidsky, Akram Hasson, and Osher Shkalim. MKs Avi Maoz and Yitzhak Goldknopf also opposed the proposal.

A significant number of haredi MKs were absent, as were several senior government ministers.

Smotrich responded to the rejection by announcing that he would soon sign the order again.

"The economic left in the Likud is trying to harm the citizens of Israel in service of monopolies and for a few votes in the primaries. While Prime Minister Netanyahu is preoccupied with Israel's security, a small group of Likud MKs is focused on petty politics and, together with the opposition, wants to make us all pay more. I will not allow the public to lose," he stated.

“Narrow personal interests will not triumph over the good of the citizens of Israel. I do not intend to give up or succumb to the left. I will, with God's help, sign a new order and continue to care for the citizens of Israel. Despite the left, it can be affordable here," Smotrich said.

Another Daycare Tragedy In Jerusalem: 5-Month Old Baby Passes Away

A five-month-old baby passed away on Sunday after losing consciousness at her babysitter in the Katamon neighborhood of Jerusalem.

The babysitter found her unconscious at about 1 p.m. and called rescue services. MDA and Hatzalah paramedics quickly arrived at the scene and carried out resuscitation attempts while evacuating her to Shaare Tzedek Hospital. Sadly, she was pronounced dead shortly later.

Hatzalah paramedics Yosef Gotthold and Eli Roth said, “We performed CPR on the baby and evacuated her to a hospital in critical condition while continuing resuscitation techniques. Due to the nature of the incident, Chusan teams—the United Hatzalah’s mental first aid unit—were also called to the scene.”

MDA paramedic Daniel Elyakim said, “When we arrived at the scene, the baby was unconscious, without a pulse, and not breathing. We provided him with medical treatment and performed prolonged resuscitation attempts and evacuated him to the hospital, where the doctors continued to fight for his life.”

The police announced that they opened an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.

A statement from Shaare Tzedek Hospital said, “A five-month-old baby was brought to the pediatric intensive care unit in critical condition while undergoing extensive resuscitation in the field. Resuscitation efforts continued at the intensive care unit, but unfortunately she was pronounced dead. We share in the family’s grief.”

My take on the Huckabee Carlson Debate

You know what I learned from Mike Huckabee's interview with Tucker Carlson?

If you are an antisemite who is being paid by Qatar to disseminate lies about Israel- and you do it all day every day, you're not going to turn into a well-researched, regulated and fair journalist all of a sudden.

Carlson came as advertised.Disgusting. Spitting lies. Disrespectful. Ignorant.

He barely let the ambassador talk. Cutting him off, twisting his words, bla bla bla.

Many people are applauding Huckabee's answers. Many are applauding Carlson's bombastic insanity.

I'm wondering what people think- was it worth it to have this whole spectacle?

Was this something that we could consider a win, or epic fail?

My opinion is that not all news is good news for the Jews.

This partisan, nasty rhetoric spills back on all of us, and sends Carlson's fans deeper into the antisemitic madness that leaves them foaming at the mouth.

Maybe Huckabee got in a couple decent soundbites- but echo chambers all over the internet are just cutting the ones from each of them, that make the other look like a buffoon and throwing themselves a party and posting them online.

Uganda to Honor Entebbe Hero Yoni Netanyahu With Airport Statue

In a sign of how much relations between Israel and Uganda have improved, the head of the military announced the unveiling of a statue of fallen hero Yonatan “Yoni” Netanyahu, who led a daring rescue mission in 1976 to save 102 Israeli and Jewish hostages from terrorists who had diverted their airplane to Entebbe airport.

Ugandan President Idi Amin aided the terrorists and deployed soldiers to help guard the hostages. While all the terrorists and many of the soldiers were killed, Netanyahu was the only casualty on the Israeli side.
