Why is Michigan hate preacher Ahmad Musa Jibril allowed to call for the murder of Americans?
An extremist Michigan cleric whose hate-filled sermons were said to have inspired the London Bridge terrorist attack has called on American Muslims to wage Jihad against the “infidel West” — and blamed the US led by “senile Pharaoh” Biden for what he called a “genocide in Palestine.”
Ahmad Musa Jibril, 51, a radical Islamist preacher who was born in Dearborn, is seen in videos posted on social media arguing that Muslims in the US should turn away from what he described as a watered-down “American-Zionist Islam” that ignores the idea of Jihad.
“Yes, there is holy war in Islam, it is Jihad,” Jibril lectured in one clip posted on X by an account associated with the fanatical imam.
“This may be a surprise to many who grew up in the West, especially those who were born or grew up post-9/11, because of the growing number of hypocrites, who are spreading the American-Zionist Islam, and it has nothing to do with Islam, that version of Islam is and Islam that suits the enemies.”
In another video shared on a Telegram channel associated with Jibril, the hardline Palestinian-American preacher addressed the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, saying it should be viewed as a “wake-up call” for young Muslims in the US to start “normalizing” Jihad.
“Jihad must be a common, normal term on your tongues, on your social media, and in the mosques and elsewhere,” Jibril said.
Investigation: Hostages were shirtless, one waved a white flag - but were shot to death
The IDF forces who accidentally killed the three Israeli hostages during combat in Shejaiya, thinking them to be terrorists, operated in violation of the open fire rules, an initial IDF investigation shows.
Initial findings from the investigation, which is under the auspices of IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi himself, show that an IDF marksman who was within the structure identified, at about 10:00, in broad daylight and good viewiing conditions, the three hostages as suspicious, despite the fact that they were unarmed.
The hostages were walking without shirts, in the neighborhood's streets, a few dozen meters from the building in which the soldiers were. One of the hostages was holding a white flag, yet the marksman fired precise bullets at him.
The marksman hit two of the suspects with his Trijicon viewer, which magnifies objects to four times what the naked eye can see. A third individual managed to run towards a nearby building. Immediately after the shots were fired, the fighter-marksman yelled, "Terrorists!" The battalion's commander was also in the building, and ordered the fire to stop because he decided to begin a raid on the building the third hostage - who was still viewed as suspicious by the forces - had run to.
The forces, led by the battalion commander, arrived at the building where the third suspect-hostage was, and from a distance of a few dozen meters away, they heard cries in Hebrew of, "save me." Despite this, the forces decided to attack the building, call out to the person within it to exit, and when he came out of the stairwell, at least one fighter in the force fired towards him at close range.
At a distance of a few hundred meters from the scene where this took place, the forces discovered, a few days ago, graffiti reading, "SOS." in English and the Hebrew words, "hostages," and, "help." At the same time, during the past two days, the building was not inspected due to concerns that it was booby-trapped, since nearby there had been a building which contained explosive devices.
Three hostages mistakenly shot dead by Israeli troops
The IDF cleared for publication on Friday evening that, during combat in Shejaiya, the IDF mistakenly identified three Israeli hostages as a threat. As a result, the troops fired toward them and they were killed.
During searches and checks in the area in which the incident occurred, a suspicion arose over the identities of the deceased. Their bodies were transferred to Israeli territory for examination, after which it was confirmed that they were three Israeli hostages.
Their bodies were taken to the "Hatzvi" Center at the Shura Camp for further examination, where the hostages were identified:-
Yotam Haim, who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Kfar Aza by the Hamas terrorist organization on October 7.-
Samer Talalka, who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Nir Am by the Hamas terrorist organization on October 7-
Alon Shamriz, who was kidnapped from Kibbutz Kfar Aza by the Hamas terrorist organization on October 7.
IDF and Israel Police representatives have notified all of the families. The IDF believes that the three hostages who were accidentally shot either escaped from captivity or were abandoned by the terrorists who were holding them because of the fighting, but the incident is still being investigated.
“The IDF began reviewing the incident immediately. The IDF emphasizes that this is an active combat zone in which ongoing fighting over the last few days has occurred. Immediate lessons from the event have been learned, which have been passed on to all IDF troops in the field,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said.
“The IDF expresses deep remorse over the tragic incident and sends the families its heartfelt condolences. Our national mission is to locate the missing and return all the hostages home,” it added.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said following the incident, “Together with the entire people of Israel, I bow my head in deep sorrow and mourn the death of three of our hostages, including Yotam Haim and Samer Fouad Talalka.”
“This is an unbearable tragedy and all of Israel is grieving their loss this evening. My heart goes out to the bereaved families at this difficult time.”
“I strengthen our courageous soldiers engaged in the sacred mission of bringing home our hostages, while risking their lives in doing so. Today, on this painful evening, we will dress our wounds, learn the lessons and continue the most important effort of bringing all the hostages home,” said Netanyahu.
Minister Benny Gantz said, “The heart is broken upon learning of the tragedy this evening. I want to embrace the families - the whole nation of Israel is crying with you. I strengthen all the families of the hostages, and also the soldiers who are in the depths of the territory and are carrying out a complex and important mission, the likes of which we have not known since the establishment of the state.”
“The pain that accompanies the campaign, grows more in the face of the difficult event. Our responsibility is to win the war, and part of that victory will be to bring the hostages home. We will do everything to bring them back alive. Everything,” vowed Gantz.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant said, “At this difficult time, my heart and thoughts are with the families of the three hostages who were accidentally killed by IDF fire in the Gaza Strip.”
“These are difficult hours, the mistake is painful for every Israeli, regardless of who he is, we must show patience, and continue to act for our hostages, our soldiers and our citizens.”
“I spoke with the Chief of Staff this evening to learn about the circumstances of the tragic event and to ensure that lessons are learned immediately,” stated Gallant.
