Graham says Harris could be impeached if GOP takes back House

The senator said he believes the impeachment set a dangerous precedent.

"I don't know how Kamala Harris doesn't get impeached if the Republicans take over the House, because she actually bailed out rioters, and one of the rioters went back to the streets and broke somebody's head open," Graham said. "So we've opened Pandora's box here, and I'm sad for the country."

In June, Harris and other Democrats urged people to contribute to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, which was posting bail for people arrested during George Floyd protests.

 Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., called out Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for speaking out against former President Donald Trump after voting to acquit Trump at his impeachment trial.

Despite voting in Trump's favor, McConnell, R-Ky., blamed the former president for the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. Graham warned on "Fox News Sunday" that this will be used against Republicans as they try to retake control of Congress in 2022.

"I think Sen. McConnell's speech, he got a load off his chest, obviously, but unfortunately he put a load on the back of Republicans," Graham said. "That speech you will see in 2022 campaigns."

Graham said GOP candidates running in states like Arizona and Georgia that could be key in Republican efforts to take back the Senate will be asked about McConnell’s speech. Likewise, he said incumbent candidates will be asked about whether they will support McConnell in the future.

McConnell said Saturday that Trump committed "a disgraceful dereliction of duty" by his actions prior to the deadly riot and was "practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of that day."

Graham said that while Trump had pushed "narratives about the election that I think are not sound and not true," he does not believe the former president's words incited the riot.

Looking at the party as a whole, Graham said McConnell’s speech is an "outlier" when it comes to GOP feelings about Trump's second impeachment.

Graham said he has spoken to Trump since the trial, and while the former president is upset with some members of his party, he is "excited about 2022" and looking to help rebuild the Republican Party in next year's midterm elections.

British Taxpayers Funding Palestinian Textbooks – Where Maths Is Learned By Adding Up Number Of ‘Martyrs’

The Israeli-based Institute for Monitoring Peace and Cultural Tolerance in School Education (IMPACT-se) has demonstrated that British taxpayers continue to pay for Palestinian educational materials despite the fact that pupils are routinely taught incitement, hatred of Israel and glorification of terrorism, according to a Jewish News report. For example, as recently as September last year, Palestinian school students studying under the auspices of the PA as well as in UNRWA (United Nations Relief Work Agency) schools in Judea, Samaria and Gaza were still learning maths by adding up the number of ‘martyrs’, including those who have led suicide bombings on buses and shopping centres.

In the last five years Britain has spent an estimated £105 million on Palestinian education professionals, including on the salaries of teachers who write the textbooks, but it does not monitor the content of those textbooks or the views of those writing them, despite the fact that the funds Britain transfers are officially contingent on “curriculum reform” which requires the PA to take action against “incitement to violence, including addressing allegations of incitement in the educational curriculum”.

The Chareidim Who Were Stuck in Morocco Flew to Frankfurt Airport and Were Surprised That They Were Detained and Harassed by Germans

 

A group of Israeli chareidim from Jerusalem received a permit to return to Israel despite the aerial lockdown due to a complex humanitarian issue. The chareidim, who had been in Morocco, managed by travelling through various different countries to reach Frankfurt airport, where all returning Israelis are being directed.

However when the group arrived in Frankfurt, they were detained by German authorities in a secret place and not permitted to leave. Moreover, their passports were taken away from them. When some of them tried to leave and rest on one of the benches in the airport, the German staff woke them up every few minutes with strange demands.

The group decided to contact Uri Maklev, a Degel Hatorah member who serves as Israel’s deputy transport minister. Maklev spoke with the local rabbi and the German ambassador who provided all their needs for them and also acted with German authorities to enable the group to leave the country Sunday.

“It was antisemitism par excellence,” one of the chareidim said. “They saw that we are chareidi Jews and from the moment we entered the airport they didn’t stop harassing us and looking for ways to annoy us, it was simply pure hatred.”

When all the permits for the flight had been received, the Germans decided to delay the group, knowing that this would cause them to miss the only flight that day. Only a timely intervention by Maklev enabled the flight to be delayed for a while until the group was able to board.

Catskill State Trooper Finds Missing Jewish Girl In Freezing Snow-Covered Forest

 Thanks to a persistent NY State Trooper, a missing girl was miraculously found in a forest, Sunday afternoon.

Sources say that Catskills Hatzolah and the NY State Police were called to a report of a missing teenager in the White Lake area. Upon arrival, first responders learned that a 16-year-old girl was missing in a heavily wooded area – with at least two feet of snow in many places.

The search began, NYSP Zone Sergeant Hafele deployed a drone, while Trooper Nicholas D’Angelo of the New York State Police Liberty barracks began walking into the forest. Eye-witnesses say that the forest was covered in snow, and D’Angelo walked for hours, never relenting despite the snow and cold. Eventually, his persistence paid off, and he located the freezing cold girl sitting on a snow-covered rock – a few miles into the forest.

She was extricated back to the staging area, where a warm Catskills Hatzolah ambulance was waiting.

Members of the search team told YWN that she never would have survived the night if not for this brave State Police hero.

She was taken to Orange Regional Medical Center for treatment, and was in stable condition.

Schumer Obsessed With Trump Wants to Use 14th Amendment Measure To Bar Trump From Office

 

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer Thursday did not rule out bringing legislation to bar former President Donald Trump from office if he is not convicted at the ongoing Senate impeachment trial.

Democratic senators have discussed in recent weeks that if they cannot secure the 67 votes needed to convict Trump — and bar him from holding office in a subsequent simple-majority vote — that they might invoke the 14th Amendment of the Constitution to do the same.

Schumer, D-N.Y., was asked about the possibility in a press conference ahead of the impeachment trial proceedings Thursday.

“We’re first going to finish the impeachment trial and then Democrats will get together and discuss where we go next,” Schumer replied.

Just  a month ago Rav Yoel Asher Lunger, the father-in law of the singer Shlomo Daskal, from Monsey, died of Covid. 

This past shabbos, his wife, Temimah Genendal 70, died of covid.

Two weeks ago, their son-in-law, R' Dovid Yermiya Halpert died of a sudden heart attack, he was just 49 years old.

Last week Halpert's wife, Zissel Miriam Halpert died from covid and she was just 43 years old.

Pelosi Bans Naval Academy Grad from Watching His Mother Sworn In to Congress

So much for “unity.”

Newly elected New York Rep. Claudia Tenney and her family have waited three months since the November election for Tenney to finally be sworn-in to the seat she won.

On Thursday, according to The Daily Caller, Tenney’s son, a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, was not allowed to attend the ceremony.

“I guess he’s considered a risk,” Tenney told The Daily Caller, confirming Spicer’s post.

Sure he must be. He’s the son of a Republican, after all. According to Tenney’s campaign biography page, her son, Trey Cleary, is a 2013 graduate of the Naval Academy who is now a captain in the United States Marines.

Most sane Americans would consider that the kind of man you’d trust your life to — considering the country is entrusting its existence to him and to men and women like him and has been for more than 200 years now.

But apparently “most sane Americans” doesn’t include Nancy Pelosi or her staff. Tenney told The Daily Caller she was informed her son would not be allowed to watch from the gallery during “several exchanges” through “text from staff and in person.”

In a way, it’s not surprising. The Democratic Party has made no secret of the fact that it distrusts the military — just look at the insulting “vetting” process for the National Guard that took place before the swearing-in of President Joe Biden on Jan. 20.

But it is surprising that that kind of distrust would be placed on such a personal level. Tenney, after all, is not a newcomer to Congress.

She was first elected in 2016, then lost to Democrat Anthony Brindisi in the 2018 midterms. In the November rematch, she defeated Brindisi by a razor-thin 109 votes out of more than 300,000 votes cast in the Empire State’s 22nd Congressional District, according to The New York Times.

That means she’s at least somewhat of a known quantity. And if her son were the kind of military officer liberals like to pretend are hiding under every bed — “white supremacist,” dangerous to democracy, bent on overthrowing the government they’ve sworn to protect — it’s a good chance Capitol security would know about it. (It’s a better chance the Brindisi campaign would have been shouting it from the rooftops well before November’s vote.)

Hollywood celebrities flew into a paroxysm of rage on Saturday after the Senate acquitted former president Donald Trump of inciting the Capitol Hill riots of January 6. Left-wing stars lashed out at the 43 Republicans who voted to acquit, calling them “traitors” and “fascists.”

Anti-Trump celebrities including Alyssa Milano, Rob Reiner, Bette Midler, and Rosie O’Donnell led the collective meltdown. “It is a sad day in America when only 7 republicans have the patriotism and integrity to convict a tyrant,” Milano tweeted.

The stars aimed much of their venom at Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), saying that the former majority leader “has no soul.”

As Breitbart News reported, the final Senate tally was 53 guilty versus 43 not guilty, falling short of the two-thirds majority needed to convict Trump. In the end, seven Republican senators voted to convict the former president — Sens. Burr, Cassidy, Collins, Murkowski, Romney, Sasse, and Toomey.

Alyssa Milano wasted no time in declaring that Trump must now be taken to court.

Rob Reiner blasted the 43 Republicans, claiming that they had acquitted Trump of “the worst violation of the Constitution by a president in our nation’s history.”
