Satya Zamudio, 15, urged Oakland's school board to eliminate its police force.
Question: Where do these little Jewish twirps get this idea from?
Answer: From the home ... from their clueless progressive wealthy parents, "useful idiots"...... ...
so now who will she call when she gets molested?
This idiotic resolution will "reallocate funds to provide social workers, psychologists, restorative justice practitioners and other mental or behavioral health professionals.
The school board in Oakland, California, has unanimously voted to abolish the district’s police force in the wake of the nationwide protests against police brutality — with urging by teens at a city synagogue.
A large contingent of young people from Temple Beth Abraham, a Conservative congregation, was involved in pushing the board to adopt what was called the George Floyd Resolution, named for the Black man whose death at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer sparked the demonstrations.
The resolution, which was passed Wednesday, will reallocate funds to provide social workers, psychologists, restorative justice practitioners and “other mental or behavioral health professionals, as the budget supports, to meet the needs of students.”

Omer Yankelevich is the new minister of Diaspora affairs in Israel, meaning she’s in charge of managing the Jewish state’s relations with Jewish communities abroad.
It has never been an easy task, but tensions in recent years between Israel and the United States, as well as other international Jewish communities, have boiled to all-time highs over several high-profile social, political and religious disagreements. Among them: who can pray at the Western Wall and who Israel’s Orthodox Chief Rabbinate deems Jewish. The majority of an American Jewish community that in the main is liberal feels alienated by Israel’s right-wing government and its hawkish policies.
Yankelevich’s role is complicated by the fact that she is haredi Orthodox — part of a community that is at the heart of some of the issues putting a wedge between Israel and the Diaspora. She’s also the first haredi woman to hold a Cabinet position in Israeli government and is taking criticism for that – many in her community say her participation in politics is scandalous.
Many eyes are focused on the political newcomer. Will she work to bridge the divides that have widened between Israel and international Jews? Or will she compromise with the religious community in Israel to which she belongs?

On Gimmel Tammuz, the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s Yom Hillula, let us draw upon the Rebbe’s wise counsel.
"It is forbidden to relinquish any part of Israel to a Gentile, no matter how small."
On several auspicious occasions the Rebbe called on Rabbonim and G’dolei Torah to assume their responsibility and take the lead in amending the situation with the issuance of a clear ruling, again and again, until it is well understood by all:
“That the entire Land of Israel belongs to the Jewish nation. It is forbidden to relinquish any parcel of real estate in Israel to a Gentile, no matter how small.
"Any compromise on this is forbidden, even more so when we speak of a city on the border. Today, every single city in Israel has the law of a city on the border.
"The one and only reason for this ruling is the danger [it brings] to Jewish lives, G-d forbid.”
(Lubavitcher Rebbe, 1978)
"May it be G-d’s Will that there should finally be the fulfillment of the verse: And the earth will be filled with the knowledge of G-d as the water covers the ocean bed.
"Resulting, immediately, in no longer fearing ‘what will the nations say’ or worrying over which policy they will favor; no longer will a Jew shake at ‘the sound of a driven leaf.’
"For G-d will help His nation to walk upright, with conviction and strength.”
(from the Rebbe’s letter to Israeli journalist and poet, Uri Tzvi Greenberg, the 22nd of Cheshvan, 1977)

Slowly over my lifetime, I have come to be a skeptic about what experts tell me. I have lived long enough to know that what the experts told me 20 or 30 years ago about what was going to happen regarding the economy, political matters, international conflict, regarding almost everything, have been proven to be, in the main, false and misleading.
Of course, no one ever calls the experts to task. No one reminds them what they said 30 years ago. We just let them continue to be experts.
No people in the world equal the Jewish people in respecting knowledge, education, and thought. But again, no people in the world represent the idea of skepticism more than the Jewish people, of the fact that there may be another opinion, that the future is unknown. And, that it is the balance between those two that must occur whenever we judge things.
So, the experts tell us a lot of things, but who says they are right? Why should we rely on them?

U.S. President Donald Trump senior advisor Kellyanne Conway told journalists:
"There are conversations being had in the White House on the matter of annexation. Obviously the President will have an announcement. He’s talked about this in the past and I’ll leave it to him to give you a big announcement."
Conway added that, "All the calamity scenarios of the past are gone. Let’s just see, because he wants to be an agent for peace in the Middle East and he’s trying to do that."
"There are conversations, and I can tell you what someone on the ground in Israel told me just this morning when I spoke with him, that if you look at the difference between what's being reported and the reality on the ground in Israel, they feel like these conversations could even be had without the last three-and-a-half years of President Donald Trump being the best friend to Israel, to quote Mr. Netanyahu, 'that Israel's ever had'," Conway said.
"We are having conversations, there are conversations being had. Obviously the President will have an announcement. He's talked about this in the past, and I'll leave it to him to give you a big analysis, and very happy these talks continue," she added.

Yehuda Wachsman, the father of soldier Nachshon Wachsman, the soldier who was murdered by terrorists in 1994 after a failed rescue attempt, has passed away after a continued struggle with serious illness.
He leaves behind his wife Esther, 6 children and many grandchildren. The time of his funeral has not yet been set.
In an interview with Israel Hayom last year, Wachsman said that he missed the unity the Jewish people showed as they had prayed for his son's safe return.
"While Nachshon was abducted, a lot of people of all ethnicities came to the Western Wall – religious and secular – to pray he would be saved. There was great unity among the people. That's what I would like our leaders to learn from – that we have to come together to form a government soon, and remember the time of Nachshon's abduction."
"We're always in a war, and we don't have the luxury of such big [internal] divisions. Everyone needs to compromise so we can unite and strengthen the people who make decisions. We are surrounded by very strong enemies. They have missiles pointed at us, and Iran wants to wipe us off the map. At a time like this, we should split? Nachshon symbolized innocence."
