The city council announced that they  are going to replace the cops with "Social workers and medics"  Crazy stuff...

Members of the Minneapolis City Council on Sunday announced plans to disband their embattled police department in the wake of worldwide protests over the killing of George Floyd at the hands of cops.

The nine councilmembers, who form a veto-proof majority, committed to de-funding the department and moving toward a community-based public safety model during a rally at the city’s Powderhorn Park, local reports said.

“It is clear that our system of policing is not keeping our communities safe,” said council president Lisa Bender, according to Fox9. “Our efforts at incremental reform have failed, period.”

“It’s our commitment to end policing as we know it, and recreate systems of public safety that actually keep us safe.”

In a statement, the council said it would be “taking intermediate steps toward ending the MPD through the budget process and other budget and policy decisions over the coming weeks and months.”

The 12-member body reportedly plans to begin voting on legislation targeting the department on Friday.

Over the weekend, Bender and several of her colleagues expressed their intent to drastically change how public safety is upheld in the city.

Bender told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that she envisions replacing a traditional police department with a broader, more holistic public safety department geared toward violence prevention and community services. Social workers or medics could respond to situations once handled by police, she said.

Councilmember Steve Fletcher outlined the concept in an article published in Time on Friday, arguing that incremental reforms to policing have not worked.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey doesn’t appear to agree with plans to de-fund the police department. He was booed out of a demonstration by protesters on Saturday after saying he wouldn’t commit to abolishing the cops.

Chareidie Murder-Suicide: Children Are Traumatized, Neighbors Are Shocked: “He Was Completely Normal”

Following the tragic and shocking incident on Shabbos in Modiin Illit, when a Chareidie resident of the Brachfeld neighborhood stabbed his Chareidie wife and attempted suicide by jumping from his porch, neighbors of the couple expressed their shock to Kikar H’Shabbos.

“Contrary to the rumors, from my impression, he seemed like a completely normal person,” one neighbor said about the suspected murderer.

“When I heard what he did, I was completely shocked. I spoke with his friends from shul and they also said that it seemed totally out of character for the pleasant man they knew.”

All the neighbors are shocked that such an incident occurred in a Chareidi city, finding it difficult to accept the travesty that occurred in their neighborhood. Others are disturbed that their children witnessed the incident.

“My children were playing downstairs, close to the street,” one neighbor said. “Suddenly they heard a long bang. When they turned their heads, they saw a man falling from a great height.”

“Parents with children who witnessed the incident must bring them for treatment,” another neighbor stressed. “Otherwise they will have a difficult time recovering emotionally from the incident.”

The condition of the husband has improved considerably. The wife’s condition has stabilized somewhat after doctors struggled to save her life.

I am a Rabbi Who Attended George Floyd’s Memorial Service

This is the face of a "putz" ..... Yup ....

He calls himself Rabbi Aaron Weininger, and says in the post below that he is an "observant Jew" but then in his very first sentence he picks up his phone on Shabbos which also happened to be Shevuois, and adds that the phone call was minutes before his "Zoom service." Then he drives to the church holding a memorial service for a convicted felon,

His service to his own shul was on Zoom, but to attend a memorial service on the anniversary of Matan Torah,for a guy who held a gun to the stomach of a pregnant lady, he goes in person ....

Instead of officiating to his very own kehilah on a day of "Yizkor" for those murdered in the holocaust, he attends in person a memorial with a bunch of "galachim.!

How low can a guy go?

When I received a phone call last Saturday morning from the governor and lieutenant governor’s office, I sensed it would be a Shabbat and Shavuot unlike any other.

They were organizing a press conference with a small group of clergy and other community leaders that afternoon. “Rabbi, would you attend?” It was minutes before our Zoom service, a phrase that would have felt odd typing three months ago.

As an observant Jew, a rabbi leading community in prayer, and co-chair of the Minnesota Rabbinical Association, I felt the decision was painful and obvious. More than ever, the biblical call to pursue justice has guided my ears to listen more closely to the experiences of black Americans and Jews of color. They have moved my feet in protesting with other rabbis and cantors in Minneapolis and St. Paul.

And they opened my heart in new ways at the family memorial service for George Floyd. Rabbi Jill Crimmings and I, co-chairs of the Minnesota Rabbinical Association, were humbled and honored to represent the Jewish community.

In the sanctuary, at the family memorial service for George Floyd, we stood in silence for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. That was how long the police officer kept his knee on George Floyd’s neck.

“How will I pray?” I asked myself at a loss for words.

But then a cry pierced the silence. “I can’t breathe.”

A few moments later, another cry rose. “I can’t breathe.”

And another and another. Black men cried out in the sanctuary, their voices full of anguish and resolve. I heard each as a modern-day psalmist in our midst, challenging, “Let every breath praise you God” (Psalm 150).

They know too well how it might not be so for people of color, especially when a knee is kept on your neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds.

Each voice pierced the sanctuary like blasts of the shofar. They called me from my sleep, challenging me to reflect on my own spiritual leadership, and how I as a white Jew am making space for every breath of every person of color. Or simply taking breath for granted.

“How will I pray?” I gave up on my own words. The spontaneous cries pierced my soul and became prayers themselves.

I thought about the Jews of color in my congregation, in the larger community, and around the world. Those who pray Psalm 150 day after day and hear those same shofar blasts year after year. But unlike me, they could have been crying like George Floyd, “I can’t breathe.”

I will never forget the piercing sounds of all the black men who cried that day like the psalmist. And all the people of color across the Jewish community and beyond. They are my prayer leaders and teachers. Their breath is my prayer.

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced Sunday that he will be taking funding from the NYPD to instead support local youth groups.

“We will be moving funding from the NYPD to youth initiatives and social services,” Hizzoner vowed, calling it part of “deeper reforms” to tackle the “profound disparities” in the city.

It was not clear how much funding was being switched or which groups would receive the extra help. Hizzoner said the “details will be worked out in the budget process in the weeks ahead.”

De Blasio vowed that it would be done “in a way that we are certain continues to ensure that this city will be safe.”

The mayor also announced that street vendor enforcement will “no longer be the responsibility of the NYPD,” and will instead be handled by a civilian agency. He did not clarify which agency.

He called it “an area that New Yorkers feel passionately about” because it involves people trying to “experience some version of that American dream that often feels elusive lately.”

He called street vending an “opportunity to move forward” for many immigrants.

De Blasio also repeated calls for reform to state privacy laws shielding officers’ disciplinary records.

NYC’s curfew is lifted ‘effective immediately’: De Blasio

Mayor Bill de Blasio lifted the Big Apple’s controversial curfew a day early in an unexpected announcement Sunday morning.

“New York City: We are lifting the curfew, effective immediately,” Hizzoner tweeted, ending the planned final night of the city shutting down to help curb looting and violent protests that plagued the city earlier in the week.

“Yesterday and last night we saw the very best of our city. Tomorrow we take the first big step to restart,” he said of Phase 1 of the four-part plan to end the coronavirus lockdown.

“Keep staying safe. Keep looking out for each other,” he wrote.

The mayor had ordered the curfew last Monday alongside Gov. Andrew Cuomo, after vandals used mass demonstrations spurred by the videotaped in-custody death of George Floyd as cover to loot stores.

Until the announcement, the city was set to go into a final lockdown at 8 p.m. Sunday, finally ending at 5 a.m. Monday.

It had been controversial from the get-go, with the announcement shocking lawmakers and coming just hours after NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea said it would not work in the city.

De Blasio had previously refused to lift it early, even amid legal challenges claiming it violated New Yorkers’ civil rights.

When Londoners protested the Minneapolis incident, police guarding the Downing Street gates were told to "get down on their knees." Four policemen did it. Thousands of people in Britain went out on the streets, falling on their knees, as if hallucinating.


It is acceding to the claim that Western society as a whole is racist. It is a form of ideological hysteria that makes those who kneel belong to the "right side".

In several videos, we have even seen American whites kissing the shoes of their black compatriots to apologize.

“Are you white? Feel guilty, you also killed George Floyd”.

Being white has become a kind of original sin. If you do not do penance for being white, paying homage to mass immigration and multiculturalism, you will become a "white supremacist".

The archbishop of Canterbury called on "white Christians" to "repent of our own prejudices". Time magazine: "Whites have inherited their white supremacy". Inherited!


American universities are full of courses on "white privilege" and if you look at academic calendars in France, there are conferences "forbidden to whites". In Paris you are not trendy enough if you don't write about la blanchité. At each massacre where the murderer is white, the global collective ritual of penance begins.


Utoya? White man. Christchurch? White man. Blacks that kill blacks? Not on the news. Muslims who kill Jews and Christians? Not on the news. Christians who kill Muslims? First pages. The white trade of black slaves? Everywhere. The Arab-Islamic trafficking of black slaves? Taboo.


The whole past is projected onto the current generation, colonialism, crusades, birth of America, Nazism, slavery, everything ends up in the same historical kneeler, everything is traced back to your white genes .

After 14-year struggle, 'Aguna' finally gets divorce

The Jerusalem-based Yad La’isha organization of Ohr Torah Stone which helps women escape “chained marriages” announced the successful resolution of a case that had gone on for over 14 years in two countries. 

The ongoing Corona crisis had made the case even more challenging as legal and rabbinic authorities worked to get the proper documentation in place to secure a get for the wife, Vicky Tzur, as soon as possible.

Vicky had married her husband in Argentina before moving to Israel and having four children together. In December of 2006, Tzur’s husband decided to end the marriage and filed for divorce. While the proceedings were underway – a divorce process that he had instigated- he left the country and has since been in Argentina, refusing to give his wife a get.

Only in 2013 was the case finally referred to the Agunot (trapped wives) branch of the Rabbinate but for three years the file was left virtually untouched. In early 2016, the branch began communicating with the husband with the aid of the Chief Rabbi of Argentina, Rabbi Gabriel Davidovich. Vicky made continued concessions in an effort to have the case closed but despite agreeing to erase any debts her husband held towards her, he continued to refuse to issue the get.

In 2019, when Vicky came to Yad La’isha: 

The Monica Dennis Goldberg Legal Aid Center, they filed a civil lawsuit against her husband for damages resulting from his refusal to grant her a divorce. By November of 2019, she was awarded 720,000 shekels in damages even as Yad La'isha advocates Moriah Dayan and Tamar Oderberg continued extensive negotiations to secure the get with the aid of the Argentinian Chief Rabbi.

Since then, various documents have been exchanged between the parties for a period of about five months to ensure compliance. Although Vicky meticulously met all of his conditions, her husband did not stop adding demands.

But as a result of the continued pressure and the successful tort suit, Vicky's husband finally signed a divorce agreement last week – receiving special permission to leave his house during the corona pandemic in order to do so. We will continue to fight for the freedom of women like Vicky in every way possible. We also thank the Agunot branch for their ongoing support throughout the years of negotiations.”

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey was forced to leave a far-left demonstration Saturday, after attempting to open a dialogue with protesters who called for the abolition of all law enforcement in the city of Minneapolis.

Frey, a first-term Democrat, joined far-left demonstrators at a gathering in Minneapolis Saturday, accusing the justice system of being plagued with ‘systemic racism’, and vowing to do whatever is in his possible to reform law enforcement in his city.

“If you’re asking whether I’m for massive structural reform to revise a structurally racist system, the answer is yes. If you’re asking whether I’ll do everything possible to push back on the inherent inequities that are literally built into the system, the answer is yes,” said Frey.

But Frey’s comments weren’t enough for demonstrators, who demanded the mayor explicitly commit to the total defunding and abolition of the city’s police force.

“We need to completely dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department,” shouted Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota).

When Frey refused to bow to the mob’s demands, protesters cursed him and demanded he lave the demonstration.

“Go home, Jacob, go home,” attendees chanted.

Black Protest Organizer threatens Jews Wants Violence in Diamond District: 'Gasoline ... is awfully cheap'

A Black man identifying himself as "Ace Burns" delivered an ominous threat to New York Jews during a live interview on Fox News, warning that protesters could set fire to Manhattan's storied Diamond District if New York leaders don't meet their demands.

"Today, I'm giving a demonstration from Barclay's Center at 6 p.m. to City Hall, and that's the first stop -- and we're hoping [Mayor] De Blasio and [Gov.] Cuomo come out and talk to us and give the youth some direction," he told Fox News reporter Jacqui Heinrich.

"But if they don't, then [the] next stop is the Diamond District," he said, referring to a block on Manhattan's 47th Street known for jewelry shops. "And gasoline, thanks to Trump, is awfully cheap. So we're giving them a chance right now to do the right thing."

The NYPD said it "identified the took the man [and] took him in to be interviewed" later Saturday.

During his earlier interview, he also showed an "#FTP" hashtag apparently written in marker on his arm. "You know, I'm a leader of this FTP movement. It means a lot of things. It can mean free the people, it can mean for the people, it could also mean fire to property -- and that's very possible."

When asked when the protests would end, the man said that was the wrong question. "The question should be what policies are we going to enact to make people feel safe?"

After his comments aired, Fox News' Eric Shawn condemned the apparent threat. "That person was basically suggesting that they plan to go to the diamond district which is run basically by Orthodox Jews here in New York City -- certainly hope that is not the case and we do not endorse -- in fact, we condemn that type of language here on the Fox News channel," Shawn said.

A LinkedIn profile that appeared to belong to Burns said that he serves as the founder of Koinda Records. That company was also found on a Facebook profile that appeared to belong to him. His Linkedin includes a status about a black man who claimed he was racially profiled at Best Buy. “This has to end!!! Racism in our society has to become unacceptable, period!!” the status reads.

The NYPD, mayor's office, and governor's offices did not immediately respond to Fox News' request for comment.
